Abstract
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a fiber opening agent to be blended, together with fiber bundles of a reinforcing fiber and a matrix resin, into a fiber-reinforced composite material, said fiber opening agent being capable of promoting opening of the fiber bundles of the reinforcing fiber in a composing process. The fiber opening agent according to the present invention, which is to be blended into a fiber-reinforced composite material, said fiber-reinforced composite material containing fiber bundles consisting of a plurality of reinforcing fiber yarns bundled together and a matrix resin, to promote opening of the fiber bundles. This fiber opening agent contains a structural protein.
