Claims

1. A reel seat attached to a fishing rod body, comprising: a reel leg support portion on which a reel leg is placed; a fixed hood provided on the axial rear side of the reel leg support portion; a reel seat body provided on the axial front side of the reel leg support portion and having a partially cut-out cylindrical portion; a movable hood provided on the axial front side of the reel leg support portion; and a nut member provided on the outer surface of the cylindrical portion and capable of moving the movable hood by rotation, the tubular portion has a cylindrical portion and a recessed portion with a portion cut out, the movable hood has an engagement portion provided on the inner surface of the tubular portion and a hood portion that accommodates at least a portion of the reel leg, the hood portion being inserted into an opening formed in an end face of the tubular portion and fitted onto a front end of the reel leg placed on the reel leg placement portion, the nut member is provided on the outer surface of the recessed portion so as to be rotatable relative to the recessed portion, and its inner surface engages with the engaging portion so that the movable hood can be moved rearward in the axial direction by rotation of the nut member, and the rod body can be inserted up to the cylindrical portion of the tubular portion, A reel seat characterized in that, when the front end of the reel leg is fitted into the hood portion, the engaging portion is configured so that the inner surface of the engaging portion contacts the outer surface of the rod body.

2. The reel seat according to claim 1 , wherein the engaging portion and the nut member are threadably engaged with each other.

3. 3. The reel seat according to claim 1, wherein the fishing rod body is inserted into the cylindrical portion by a distance ranging from 5 mm to 20 mm in the axial direction of the cylindrical portion.

A reel seat according to claim 1 or 2, wherein when the rod body is inserted, the rod body, the engagement portion, and the reel seat main body are arranged in that order from the inside when viewed downward from the center axis of the cylindrical portion in a cross section perpendicular to the axial direction of the cylindrical portion.

5. 5. The reel seat according to claim 4, wherein the engaging portion is formed in an arc shape when viewed in a cross section perpendicular to the axial direction of the cylindrical portion.

6. The reel seat according to claim 5 , wherein the angle of the arc of the circular arc is in the range of 70 degrees to 90 degrees.

7. 3. The reel seat according to claim 1, wherein the engaging portion and the hood portion are offset from each other in a radial direction of the central axis of the reel seat.

A reel seat as described in claim 7, wherein when the engagement portion and the hood portion are offset, there is a connection portion between the engagement portion and the hood portion that extends perpendicular to the central axis of the reel seat and connects the engagement portion and the hood portion.

9. 3. The reel seat according to claim 1, wherein the engaging portion of the movable hood is movable in the axial direction of the reel seat at a notched portion of the recessed portion of the cylindrical portion.

10. A fishing rod comprising the reel seat according to claim 1 or 2 and a rod body.
