Abstract
Description
[Technical Field]
[0001] The present invention relates to an eye mask that is worn on the face to cover the eyes and block external light during sleep or rest, and a method for manufacturing such an eye mask. [Background technology]
[0002] Generally, eye masks are required to be flat and portable when not in use (before being worn), such as when stored, but to be three-dimensional and comfortable to wear when in use (when worn) (for example, not to press on the eyelids or crush the eyelashes).
[0003] For example, Patent Document 1 discloses that a necessary space is formed between the left and right eye covers (shields) and the eyes to prevent the eyelids from coming into contact with the mask lining when blinking.
[0004] In Patent Document 1, a central piece and the left and right pieces on either side of it are formed with a convex arc-shaped central cut line facing each other. The central piece and the left and right pieces are butted together at the central cut line, creating an outward (forward) bulge by sewing them together in an arc shape. That is, according to the technology disclosed in Patent Document 1, the central piece and the left and right pieces of the mask are butted together at the central cut line and sewn together in an arc shape while maintaining a three-dimensional (bulged) shape in the unfolded state. As a result, special techniques (skilled three-dimensional sewing techniques) are required, which reduces production efficiency and increases costs, and also leads to dimensional variations in the product (large and small bulges). Furthermore, if the eye mask is stacked or the left and right pieces are folded (overlapped) toward the center after manufacturing (sewing) for storage, the "bulge shape" obtained (created) by the "butt-joint three-dimensional sewing" is lost (disappears), making it difficult to reproduce the bulge shape at the time of manufacturing (sewing) when worn. [0005] [Patent Document 1] Jikko No. 55-23528 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0006] The object of the present invention is to provide an eye mask that is inexpensive and has little dimensional variation without requiring skilled techniques, that can easily reproduce the expanded shape before storage when worn, and that provides a comfortable fit for a long time, as well as a method for manufacturing the eye mask that is easy to manufacture and allows for cost reduction.
[0007] In order to solve the above problems, the eye mask of the present invention comprises: A heat-sealable (single-layer or multi-layer) body that has a width equal to the maximum distance between the left and right sides of the mask that run vertically through the assumed positions of the centers of the wearer's left and right eyeballs when worn with its center line aligned with the bridge of the nose, and that has an overall pseudo-rectangular shape (including a square shape); The left and right wing pieces are connected to the left and right sides of the main body so as to cover the outer corners of the left and right eyes of the wearer, respectively, and to be able to be fastened to the left and right ears, respectively, for example, in a circular or loop shape, and the left and right wing pieces are arranged so as to overlap each other, respectively, on the main body, on the face side of the wearer, and the left and right wing pieces form a pair of heat-sealable wing bodies, which are single-layer or multi-layer, The left side of the main body and the corresponding connecting side of the left wing piece overlap with each other in the same outline formed by a continuous left curved line that is convex outward, and the overlapping portion is connected over its entire length by a left fused portion that runs along the inside of the left curved line; the right side of the main body and the corresponding connecting side of the right wing piece overlap with each other in the same outline formed by a continuous right curved line that is convex outward, and the overlapping portion is connected by a right fused portion that runs along the inside of the right curved line over the entire length of the overlapping portion; When worn, the left and right wing pieces of the wing body are unfolded from the state where they overlap with the main body [by rotating approximately 180° or approximately 360° around the left fused part and the right fused part as a virtual central axis] and extended outward in the lateral direction, and the left and right fused parts bulge forward from the eyeballs of the face, respectively, to form left and right eye bulges. premise Let's say.
[0008] In this way, the left side of the main body and the corresponding connecting edge on the left wing piece, and the right side of the main body and the corresponding connecting edge on the right wing piece overlap with the same outline consisting of continuous left and right curved lines that are convex outward, and are connected by left and right fused portions that are formed along the inside of the left and right curved lines. Therefore, since the main body and the left and right wing pieces overlap with the same outline and are connected by the left and right fusion sections, there is no need for skilled three-dimensional sewing techniques, and products with little variation in dimensions (for example, the amount of expansion when the wing body is deployed) can be provided at low cost. Furthermore, even if the "bulging shape" is temporarily lost (disappears) when the eye masks are stacked after manufacturing (heat sealing) for storage or the wing bodies (left and right wing pieces) are folded (overlapped) toward the main body, the left and right bulging parts are immediately formed when the wing bodies (left and right wing pieces) are unfolded from the main body when wearing the mask, so the bulging shape before storage can be easily reproduced and a comfortable fit can be maintained.
[0009] Of course, when not being worn, the left and right wing pieces of the wing body are folded in a state where they overlap with the main body, and the entire eye mask can be stored compactly within the width of the main body. When worn, the left and right wing pieces of the wing body are unfolded and stretched outward laterally, and the left and right fused portions form left eye bulging portions 100A and right eye bulging portions 100B, respectively, which bulge out greatly in front of the centers of the left and right eyeballs, making the wearing comfort even better.
[0010] The maximum distance between the assumed eyeball centers (i.e., the width of the eye mask body) can be set to multiple sizes, such as for children and adults / S, M, L, etc. When worn, the left and right wing pieces of the wing body are unfolded and extended laterally outward by rotating approximately 180° around the left and right fused parts as virtual central axes, forming an ear hook for the left ear on the left wing piece and an ear hook for the right ear on the right wing piece. On the other hand, when the left and right wing pieces of the wing body are rotated approximately 360°, the main body is turned inside out and the wing body is turned left and right, so that an ear hook for the right ear is formed on the left wing piece and an ear hook for the left ear on the right wing piece.
[0011] The left fused portion and the right fused portion may be formed symmetrically with respect to the center line.
[0012] The left fused portion and the right fused portion may be formed symmetrically above and below each other with respect to an imaginary dividing line that is perpendicular to the center line and divides the vertical height of the main body in half (for example, in equal parts).
[0013] This simplifies the configuration of the left and right fused portions, and in turn the configuration of the main body and wing bodies (left and right wing pieces), making it possible to provide a more inexpensive eye mask.
[0014] Furthermore, the left curved line and the right curved line may each be formed by a single arc having a center at any point on the imaginary dividing line.
[0015] This allows the left and right curved lines, and in turn the shapes of the main body and wing bodies (left and right wing pieces) to be extremely simple in configuration, making it possible to provide an even more inexpensive eye mask.
[0016] The left and right wing pieces are formed with ear hooks for the left and right ears, respectively; Before wearing the garment, when the two wings are overlapped, these ear hooks are closed by the intended tear lines (e.g., perforations), and when the two wings are unfolded and stretched outward laterally during wearing, the intended tear lines are broken, and the spaces for inserting the left and right ears are opened.
[0017] In this way, when wearing the eye mask, the left and right wing pieces are unfolded and stretched outward laterally, forming bulges for both eyes and also forming left and right ear loops by breaking along the intended breaking lines, further improving the convenience of the eye mask.
[0018] The planned tear line is composed of a cut line portion (slit portion) and a non-cut line portion (ground portion), and cut lines (slits) of unequal lengths are sometimes called "tear lines" and cut lines (slits) of approximately equal lengths (for example, the difference between the maximum and minimum lengths is within 10%) are sometimes called "perforations." Planned tear lines may also include, in addition to tear lines and perforations, easily tearable portions (portions that are easily torn, such as in straight-cut films), opening designation portions (slit portions that indicate the opening start position, such as V-notches), auxiliary tape attachment portions (portions where cutting guide tape is attached), etc.
[0019] Next, in order to solve the above problems, the method for producing an eye mask of the present invention includes the steps of: A heat-sealable (single-layer or multi-layer) body that has a width equal to the maximum distance between the left and right sides of the mask that run vertically through the assumed positions of the centers of the wearer's left and right eyeballs when worn with its center line aligned with the bridge of the nose, and that has an overall pseudo-rectangular shape (including a square shape); A method for manufacturing an eye mask comprising: a pair of heat-sealable (single-layer or multi-layer) wing bodies, each of which has left and right wing pieces connected to the left and right sides of the main body so as to cover the outer corners of the left and right eyes of the wearer, respectively, and be able to be hooked onto the left and right ears, respectively, for example, in a circular or loop shape; a superposition process in which the left side of the main body and the corresponding connecting side of the left wing piece have the same outer shape consisting of a continuous left-curved line that is convex outward, and the right side of the main body and the corresponding connecting side of the right wing piece have the same outer shape consisting of a continuous right-curved line that is convex outward, and the left and right wing pieces of the wing body are individually superposed on the main body by the left and right curved lines [on the wearer's face side]; a heat-sealing step of forming a left fused portion by heat-sealing the left side of the main body and the corresponding side of the left wing piece along the inside of the left curved line over the entire length of the overlapping portion between the left side of the main body and the corresponding side of the left wing piece, and forming a right fused portion by heat-sealing the right side of the main body and the corresponding side of the right wing piece along the inside of the right curved line over the entire length of the overlapping portion between the right side of the main body and the corresponding side of the right wing piece, Including premise Let's say.
[0020] In this way, after the wing bodies (left and right wing pieces) are overlapped on the main body in the overlapping process, the left and right fused portions are formed in the heat sealing process. Therefore, the fused portions are formed by heat sealing without the need for skilled three-dimensional sewing techniques, and when worn, the fused portions protrude forward to form bulges in front of the face, making it easier to manufacture the eye mask and reducing manufacturing costs.
[0021] Prior to the overlapping step, an ear hook forming step is carried out in which left and right ear hooks (e.g., circular or loop-shaped) are individually formed on the left and right wing pieces.
[0022] In the ear hook forming process before the overlapping process, the left and right ear hooks are formed separately on the wing body (left wing piece and right wing piece) before being overlapped with the main body, allowing the subsequent processes (overlapping process and heat sealing process) to be carried out efficiently.
[0023] In order to solve the above problem, the method for producing an eye mask of the present invention includes the steps of: Instead of the overlapping step, A process of overlapping and cutting the main body fabric and the left and right wing fabrics that can become the wing bodies (on the wearer's face side) and cutting them into the same shape to form continuous left and right curved lines that are convex outward. To carry out premise Let's say.
[0024] Here, the main body fabric is layered with the left and right wing fabrics in the layering and cutting process, and then the left and right fused sections are formed in the heat sealing process. Therefore, the fused sections are formed by heat sealing without the need for skilled three-dimensional sewing techniques, and when worn, the fused sections protrude forward to form bulges, making the eye mask easier to manufacture and reducing manufacturing costs.
[0025] Therefore, before the overlapping and cutting process, an ear hook forming process is carried out in which left and right ear hooks (for example, circular or loop shaped) are individually formed in the left and right wing piece fabrics.
[0026] In the process of forming the selvedge sections before the overlapping and cutting process, the left and right selvedge sections are formed separately on the left and right wing pieces of fabric before they are overlapped with the main fabric, which allows for more efficient work in subsequent processes (overlapping and cutting and heat sealing).
[0027] In the ear hook forming step, the ear hook may be formed as a planned tear line (for example, a perforation) that will tear when worn to transition from a closed configuration to an open configuration for inserting the ears.
[0028] In this way, by creating a planned breaking line in the ear loop forming process that will break when worn to become the ear loop, the eye mask can be stored more compactly before being worn.
[0029] In order to solve the above problems, the method for producing an eye mask of the present invention includes the steps of: A heat-sealable (single-layer or multi-layer) body that has a width equal to the maximum distance between the left and right sides of the mask that run vertically through the assumed positions of the centers of the wearer's left and right eyeballs when worn with its center line aligned with the bridge of the nose, and that has an overall pseudo-rectangular shape (including a square shape); A method for manufacturing an eye mask comprising: a pair of heat-sealable (single-layer or multi-layer) wing bodies, each of which has left and right wing pieces connected to the left and right sides of the main body so as to cover the outer corners of the left and right eyes of the wearer, respectively, and be able to be hooked onto the left and right ears, respectively, for example, in a circular or loop shape; a first cutting step in which the left and right wing pieces are transferred to a continuous strip of wing material of a predetermined width from a single-layer or multi-layer fabric so as to be line-symmetrical on either side of the center line to form a scribed wing body consisting of a scribed left wing piece and a scribed right wing piece, and the scribed wing pieces are then repeatedly transferred in the vertical direction to form a plurality of scribed wing pieces; and a first cutting step in which the wing material is moved vertically while cutting out the horizontal center portion in a predetermined shape to divide the wing material into two (e.g., a bisecting step) into a left wing piece continuation in which the scribed left wing piece is continued vertically only on the left side and a right wing piece continuation in which the scribed right wing piece is continued vertically only on the right side; a superimposing step in which a plurality of score bodies are drawn by repeatedly transferring the score bodies in the vertical direction onto a continuous strip-like main body material made of a single-layer or multi-layer fabric, the left side of the score bodies drawn on the main body material and the corresponding connecting side of the score left wing piece drawn on the left wing piece continuum overlap each other so as to coincide with a continuous left curved line that is convex outward, and the right side of the score bodies drawn on the main body material and the corresponding connecting side of the score right wing piece drawn on the right wing piece continuum overlap each other so as to coincide with a continuous right curved line that is convex outward, and the score wing body moves synchronously in the vertical direction relative to the score bodies [on the wearer's face side] to form an eye mask continuum; a heat-sealing step of forming a left fused portion by heat-sealing the left side of the marking body and the corresponding connecting side of the marking left wing piece along the inside of the left curved line over the entire length of the overlapping portion between the left side of the marking body and the corresponding connecting side of the marking left wing piece, and forming a right fused portion by heat-sealing the right side of the marking body and the corresponding connecting side of the marking right wing piece along the inside of the right curved line over the entire length of the overlapping portion between the right side of the marking body and the corresponding connecting side of the marking right wing piece; a second cutting step of cutting the main body material and the left wing piece continuum along the left curved line outside the left fused portion, and simultaneously cutting the main body material and the right wing piece continuum along the right curved line outside the right fused portion, and cutting the adjacent scored main body and scored wing pieces of the eye mask continuum along the upper outline line and the lower outline line to separate them into individual eye masks; The present invention is characterized by comprising:
[0030] Furthermore, in order to solve the above problems, the method for producing an eye mask of the present invention includes the steps of: A heat-sealable (single-layer or multi-layer) body that has a width equal to the maximum distance between the left and right sides of the mask that run vertically through the assumed positions of the centers of the wearer's left and right eyeballs when worn with its center line aligned with the bridge of the nose, and that has an overall pseudo-rectangular shape (including a square shape); A method for manufacturing an eye mask comprising: a pair of heat-sealable (single-layer or multi-layer) wing bodies, each of which has left and right wing pieces connected to the left and right sides of the main body so as to cover the outer corners of the left and right eyes of the wearer, respectively, and be able to be hooked onto the left and right ears, respectively, for example, in a circular or loop shape; a first cutting step in which the left and right wing pieces are transferred to a continuous strip of wing material of a predetermined width made of a single-layer or multi-layer fabric so as to be symmetrical on both sides of the center line to form a scribed wing body consisting of a scribed left wing piece and a scribed right wing piece, and the scribed wing pieces are then repeatedly transferred in the vertical direction to form a plurality of scribed wing pieces; and a first cutting step in which the wing material is moved vertically and divided at the horizontal center along a linear dividing line to divide the wing material into two (e.g., two equal parts) into a left wing piece continuation in which the scribed left wing piece is continued vertically only on the right side and a right wing piece continuation in which the scribed right wing piece is continued vertically only on the left side; a continuum interchange step in which, during the process of the right wing piece continuum, which is continuous on the left side of the vertical direction, and the left wing piece continuum, which is continuous on the right side of the vertical direction, are synchronously moved in the vertical direction, the right wing piece continuum is moved to the right side and the left wing piece continuum is moved to the left side [by mutually reversing around the dividing line or by crossing over the dividing line], thereby exchanging the left and right sides; a superimposing step in which a plurality of score bodies are drawn by repeatedly transferring the score bodies in the vertical direction onto a continuous strip-like main body material made of a single-layer or multi-layer fabric, the left side of the score bodies drawn on the main body material and the corresponding connecting side of the score left wing piece drawn on the left wing piece continuum overlap each other so as to coincide with a continuous left curved line that is convex outward, and the right side of the score bodies drawn on the main body material and the corresponding connecting side of the score right wing piece drawn on the right wing piece continuum overlap each other so as to coincide with a continuous right curved line that is convex outward, and the score wing body moves synchronously in the vertical direction relative to the score bodies [on the wearer's face side] to form an eye mask continuum; a heat-sealing step of forming a left fused portion by heat-sealing the left side of the marking body and the corresponding connecting side of the marking left wing piece along the inside of the left curved line over the entire length of the overlapping portion between the left side of the marking body and the corresponding connecting side of the marking left wing piece, and forming a right fused portion by heat-sealing the right side of the marking body and the corresponding connecting side of the marking right wing piece along the inside of the right curved line over the entire length of the overlapping portion between the right side of the marking body and the corresponding connecting side of the marking right wing piece; a second cutting step of cutting the main body material and the left wing piece continuum along the left curved line outside the left fused portion, and simultaneously cutting the main body material and the right wing piece continuum along the right curved line outside the right fused portion, and cutting the adjacent scored main body and scored wing pieces of the eye mask continuum along the upper outline line and the lower outline line to separate them into individual eye masks; The present invention is characterized by comprising:
[0031] In these manufacturing methods, a left wing piece continuum and a right wing piece continuum are formed in the first cutting process, and the scored wing pieces drawn on the wing material are moved synchronously in the longitudinal direction relative to the scored main body drawn on the main material in the overlapping process to form a continuous eye mask. Then, a left fused portion and a right fused portion are formed in the heat sealing process, and the eye masks are separated into individual pieces in the second cutting process. Therefore, the fused portions are formed by heat sealing without the need for skilled three-dimensional sewing techniques, and when worn, the fused portions protrude forward to form bulges, facilitating continuous production of eye masks and significantly reducing manufacturing costs.
[0032] In addition, in a manufacturing method including the above-mentioned continuous body replacement process, an ear hook forming process is carried out in the first cutting process or before the first cutting process (either prior to the first cutting process or simultaneously with the first cutting process), in which left and right ear hooks (e.g., circular or loop-shaped) are individually formed on the scored left wing piece and the scored right wing piece drawn on the wing body material as the scored wing body.
[0033] In the ear hook portion forming process, the left and right ear hook portions are formed separately on the left and right scribing wing pieces before they are overlapped with the scribing body, thereby enabling the subsequent processes (overlapping process and heat sealing process) to be carried out efficiently.
[0034] Furthermore, in the manufacturing method including the above-mentioned continuum replacement process, in the above-mentioned ear hook portion forming process, the left and right ear hook portions are ear hook strings, and the left ear hook portion is joined (for example, by heat fusion) to the end portion located on the right side of the scored left wing piece that is continuous only on the right side in the vertical direction, and is arranged so as to extend to the right from the joined position, and the right ear hook portion is joined (for example, by heat fusion) to the end portion located on the left side of the scored right wing piece that is continuous only on the left side in the vertical direction, and is arranged so as to extend to the left from the joined position.
[0035] In this ear loop forming process, the right end of the scored left wing piece on the right side of the parting line and the left end of the scored right wing piece on the left side are the right and left ends of the wing body material, so the process can be carried out on both sides simultaneously when continuously manufacturing eye masks, thereby shortening the cycle time required for eye mask production.
[0036] In the manufacturing method including the continuous body replacing step, the ear hook forming step is carried out in the first cutting step, In the ear hook forming process, the ear hooks are created on the scored left and right wing pieces, respectively, as planned tear lines (e.g., perforations) that will tear when worn to transition from a closed form to an open form for ear insertion.
[0037] In this way, by creating a planned breaking line in the ear loop forming process that will break when worn to become the ear loop, the eye mask can be stored more compactly before being worn.
[0038] In the manufacturing method including the continuum replacing step, in the selvedge forming step, the wing material on which the left and right wing pieces forming the scoring wing are drawn is wider than the main body material on which the scoring body is drawn and moves in the vertical direction; In the overlapping process, the total width of the left wing piece continuum and the right wing piece continuum overlaps with the same width as the horizontal width of the marking body, and the marking left wing piece and the marking right wing piece move vertically in synchronization with the marking body.
[0039] In this way, in the ear hook forming process, the wing material is wider than the main body material, This provides ample space for creating (drawing) the planned break lines that will be drawn as selvedge portions on the left and right scribing pieces. Meanwhile, in the overlapping process, the combined width of the left and right scribing pieces overlaps with the width of the scribing body, facilitating smooth vertical movement in the subsequent processes (such as the heat sealing process and the second cutting process). [0041] A first embodiment of the present invention will now be described with reference to the drawings.
[0042] As shown in Figure 1, the eye mask 100 of the first embodiment comprises a single-layer or multi-layer heat-sealable main body 1 having a pseudo-rectangular (including square) shape overall, with a width equal to the maximum distance between left and right side portions 1a, 1b that run vertically through the assumed positions A, B of the centers of the wearer's left and right eyeballs when the eye mask is worn with its center line N aligned with the bridge of the nose; and a single-layer or multi-layer heat-sealable wing body 2 having left and right wing pieces 2A, 2B connected to the left and right side portions 1a, 1b (see Figure 2) of the main body 1 so as to cover the outer corners of the left and right eyes, respectively, and be able to be hooked onto the left and right ears, respectively, and the left and right wing pieces 2A, 2B arranged so as to overlap each other on the face side of the main body 1, and the left and right wing pieces 2A, 2B forming a pair.
[0043] 2 to 5, the left side 1a (see FIG. 6) of the main body 1 and the corresponding connecting side 2a (see FIG. 6) of the left wing piece 2A overlap with the same outline formed by a continuous outwardly convex left curved line 5a, and the overlapping portion is connected by a left fused portion 3A that runs along the inside of the left curved line 5a over the entire length. Also, the right side 1b (see FIG. 6) of the main body 1 and the corresponding connecting side 2b (see FIG. 6) of the right wing piece 2B overlap with the same outline formed by a continuous outwardly convex right curved line 5b, and the overlapping portion is connected by a right fused portion 3B that runs along the inside of the right curved line 5b over the entire length.
[0044] When worn by a wearer, the left wing piece 2A and the right wing piece 2B of the wing body 2 overlap with the main body 1 (see Figs. 4 and 5), and then rotate about 180° (or rotate about 360° and turn inside out) around the left fused portion 3A and the right fused portion 3B as a virtual central axis, and are each unfolded and extended outward in the lateral direction Y. This forms a three-dimensional shape in which the left fused portion 3A and the right fused portion 3B bulge forward F. Specifically, the left fused portion 3A and the right fused portion 3B bulge forward F (see Figs. 3 and 5) from the eyeballs of the face, forming left eye bulging portions 100A and right eye bulging portions 100B (see Figs. 1 to 3).
[0045] The maximum distance w between the assumed positions A and B of the eyeball centers (i.e., the width of the eye mask 100 main body 1) can be set in multiple ways depending on whether the size is for children or adults / S, M, L, etc.
[0046] When worn, the left and right wing pieces 2A and 2B of the wing body 2 are unfolded and extended outward in the lateral direction Y by rotating approximately 180° around the left and right fused portions 3A and 3B as virtual central axes, forming an ear hook portion 4A for the left ear on the left wing piece 2A and an ear hook portion 4B for the right ear on the right wing piece 2B. On the other hand, when used reversibly, such as when the left and right wing pieces 2A and 2B of the wing body 2 are rotated approximately 360°, the main body 1 is turned inside out and the wing body 2 is turned left and right, so that the ear hook portion 4B for the right ear on the left wing piece 2A and the ear hook portion 4A for the left ear on the right wing piece 2B.
[0047] When not being worn, the left wing piece 2A and the right wing piece 2B of the wing body 2 are folded in a face-to-face contact state with the main body 1, and the entire eye mask 100 takes the form of a small, thin sheet overlapping each other, so that the entire eye mask 100 can be stored compactly within the width of the main body 1. It is also highly portable, being able to easily fit in a pocket.
[0048] The left fused portion 3A and the right fused portion 3B are formed symmetrically with respect to the center line N. The left fused portion 3A and the right fused portion 3B are also formed symmetrically with respect to the imaginary dividing line D that is perpendicular to the center line N and bisects (here, bisects equally) the height of the main body 1 in the vertical direction Z.
[0049] The left curved line 5a and the right curved line 5b are each formed by a single arc having an arbitrary point on the imaginary dividing line D as its center.
[0050] The left wing piece 2A and the right wing piece 2B are formed with ear loops 4B for the left and right ears, respectively. These ear loops 4A, 4B are string-like ear loop strings (here, elastic strings), and both ends are joined to predetermined positions on the ends of the left wing piece 2A and the right wing piece 2B. The ear loops 4A, 4B may be of any type as long as they allow the eye mask 100 to be worn on the head.
[0051] In the main body 1, the upper outline 5c is curved in a slightly upwardly convex shape at the center in the horizontal direction Y. The lower outline 5d is curved in a slightly upwardly concave shape at the center in the horizontal direction Y. However, a concave cutout that forms the nose pad 1N is formed at the center in the horizontal direction Y. Apart from the cutout at the center in the horizontal direction Y, the upper outline 5c and the lower outline 5d are shaped to coincide with each other. Note that the nose pad 1N may also be simply formed as a cutout extending upward at the center in the horizontal direction Y, for example. In this case, the upper outline 5c and the lower outline 5d are shaped to coincide with each other along their entire lengths.
[0052] The sheet body (planar member) that constitutes the main body 1 can be composed of a material in which single-layer or multi-layer sheet materials are stacked, or a material in which these are bonded together. Here, it is formed as a sheet body consisting of a fabric (main body fabric) or material (main body material) in which multiple sheet materials (nonwoven fabric in this case) are layered. Each sheet material has a specific function, such as a decorative sheet, a flexible sheet, or a light-blocking sheet, and by stacking them, the main body 1 with its individual function can be formed. Each sheet material is a heat-sealable material (heat-sealable material: in this case, mainly nonwoven fabric made of thermoplastic resin) that can be melted and welded by heat treatment, and is joined by heat-sealed portions 3A, 3B, and 6C formed by this heat treatment. Note that when composed of multi-layer sheet materials, any sheet material other than those mentioned above may be included within the multi-layer sheet material as long as it can be ultimately integrated by heat fusion.
[0053] The sheet (planar member) that constitutes the wing body 2 can be constructed from a material in which single-layer or multi-layer sheet materials are stacked, or a material in which these are bonded together. Here, it is constructed from the same material as the main body 1. That is, it is formed as a sheet consisting of a fabric (wing body fabric) or material (wing body material) in which multiple sheet materials (here, nonwoven fabric) are layered. Each sheet material has a specific function, such as a decorative sheet, a flexible sheet, or a light-blocking sheet, and by stacking them, the wing body 2 with its individual function can be formed. Each sheet material is a heat-sealable material (heat-sealable material: here, mainly nonwoven fabric made of thermoplastic resin) that can be melted and welded by heat treatment, and is joined by heat-sealed portions 3A, 3B, and 6D formed by the heat treatment. Note that when constructed from multi-layer sheet materials, any sheet material that can be ultimately integrated by heat fusion may be included among the multi-layer sheet materials, as long as it can be integrated.
[0054] However, the left wing piece 2A and the right wing piece 2B that make up the wing body 2 are each formed with ear hook portions 4B for the left ear and the right ear, but the sheet body (planar member) that makes up the wing body 2 is used here at the base of the wing body excluding the ear hook portions 4A and 4B.
[0055] A method for manufacturing the eye mask 100 will now be described.
[0056] The outlines of the marking bodies x1, x2a, and x2b and the lines c3 to c11 are all imaginary lines indicating planned outline lines, planned processing lines, etc., and do not actually exist.
[0057] First, the eye mask manufacturing device executes the main body material forming process (main body sheet material lamination process). In the main body material forming process, as shown in Fig. 7, strip-shaped sheet materials 11a, 11b, and 11c of predetermined widths are fed from multiple rolls and stacked so that their longitudinal directions are aligned. As a result, a continuous strip-shaped main body laminate sheet 11 of predetermined width is formed from the multi-layered sheet material (fabric), and is conveyed in the conveying direction C along the longitudinal direction.
[0058] Next, assuming that the main body 1 has been repeatedly transferred to the laminated sheet 11 in the longitudinal conveyance direction C (vertical direction Z) to form multiple score-marked main bodies x1, continuous dot-like heat fusion (thermal welding) is performed inside the outline of the score-marked main body x1 along the upper and lower outlines of the score-marked main body x1 to form heat-sealed portions 6C. The heat-sealed portions 6C form a main body material 12 (main body laminated sheet body) in which multiple sheet materials 11a, 11b, and 11c are integrated, and the main body material 12 is transported in the longitudinal conveyance direction C. The conveyance direction C of the sheet materials 11a, 11b, and 11c, the laminated sheet 11, and the main body material 12 coincides with their longitudinal direction and coincides with the vertical direction Z of the main body 1 (scored main body piece x1). The sheet width direction SY is perpendicular to the conveyance direction C and coincides with the horizontal direction Y of the main body 1 (scored main body piece x1). These directions remain the same in each subsequent work section.
[0059] Specifically, the strip-shaped laminated sheet 11 is pressurized and heated (heat-sealed, thermally welded) along the dotted lines c6 of intended heat fusion bonding using a cylindrical embossing die (not shown) in a predetermined work section W1. As a result, heat is applied by friction at the pressure positions (for example, ultrasonic welding, high-frequency welding, etc.), and the multiple sheet materials 11a, 11b, and 11c are joined together. The formed main body material 12 is formed with dotted, hardened heat-sealed portions 6C (hardened portions) along the lines c6.
[0060] The heat-sealing line c6 here is set on the laminated sheet 11 so as to extend laterally beyond the outline of the marking body x1 to both left and right ends in the sheet width direction.
[0061] Here, the cutout shape of the nose pad 1N is reflected in the lower outline of the marking body x1, and the cutout shape of the nose pad 1N is reflected in the heat fusion line c6.
[0062] 7, in the work section W1, dot-like heat-sealing lines c7 extending in the conveying direction C along both ends of the sheet width direction SY are pressurized and heated (heat-sealed, thermally welded) together with the heat-sealing lines c6 on the strip-shaped laminated sheet 11, forming heat-sealed portions 7D (hardened portions) together with the heat-sealed portions 6C. This forms a main body material 12 in which a plurality of sheet materials 11a, 11b, and 11c are stably joined in the Z conveying direction C.
[0063] Although the main body material 12 here is formed from a plurality of (multi-layered) sheet materials, it may also be formed from a single (single-layered) sheet material.
[0064] Meanwhile, the eye mask manufacturing device executes the wing body material forming process (wing body sheet material lamination process). In the wing body material forming process, as shown in Figure 8, strip-shaped sheet materials 21a, 21b, and 21c of predetermined widths are fed from multiple rolls and stacked so that their longitudinal directions are aligned. As a result, a continuous strip-shaped wing body laminate sheet 21 of predetermined width is formed from the multi-layered sheet material (fabric), and is conveyed in the conveying direction C along the longitudinal direction.
[0065] Next, the left wing piece 2A and the right wing piece 2B are transferred to the laminated sheet 21 so as to be line-symmetrical on both sides of the center line N, forming the scribed wing body x2 consisting of the scribed left wing piece x2a and the scribed right wing piece x2b, and are further transferred repeatedly in the conveying direction C to form multiple scribed wing bodies x2. Then, continuous dot-like heat fusion (thermal welding) is performed along the outlines of the scribed left wing piece x2a and the scribed right wing piece x2b located at the center of the sheet width direction SY on the inside (outside of the sheet width direction SY) of the outlines to form heat-sealed portions 6D. The heat-sealed portions 6D stably integrate the multiple sheet materials 21a, 21b, and 21c to form a wing body material 22 (a wing body laminated sheet body), which is then carried out in the conveying direction C along the longitudinal direction. The conveying direction C of the sheet materials 21a, 21b, 21c, the laminated sheet 21, and the wing body material 22 coincides with their longitudinal direction and coincides with the longitudinal direction Z of the left wing piece 2A and the right wing piece 2B (the scribing wing body pieces x2a, 2xb), and the sheet width direction SY is perpendicular to the conveying direction C and coincides with the lateral direction Y of the left wing piece 2A and the right wing piece 2B (the scribing wing body pieces x2a, 2xb). These directions remain the same even when processing is performed in each subsequent work section.
[0066] Specifically, the strip-shaped laminated sheet 21 is pressurized and heated (heat-sealed or thermally welded) along dotted lines c3 of intended heat fusion bonding using a cylindrical embossing die (not shown) in a designated work area W2. As a result, heat is applied by friction at the pressure positions (for example, ultrasonic welding or high-frequency welding), and the multiple sheet materials 21a, 21b, and 21c are joined together. The formed blade body material 22 is formed with dotted, hardened heat-sealed portions 6D (hardened portions) along the lines c3.
[0067] Although the blade body material 22 here is formed from a plurality of (multi-layer) sheet materials, it may also be formed from a single (single-layer) sheet material.
[0068] Next, the eye mask manufacturing apparatus performs the ear loop forming process, in which the left and right ear loops 4A and 4B are individually formed on the left and right wing pieces x2a and x2b of the wing body material 22 as the scored wing bodies x2, as shown in Fig. 8 .
[0069] Specifically, both ends of the ear loop strings that will become the ear loop portions 4A and 4B are overlapped at predetermined ear loop joining positions c4, c4 set above and below the outer sides of the scored left wing piece x2a and the scored right wing piece x2b drawn on the strip-shaped wing body material 22. Then, in the first working section W3, pressure and heat (thermal fusion) are applied to one of the left or right ends (here, the joining position c4 on the left side of Figure 8) on a flat support table. Then, in the second working section W3, pressure and heat (thermal fusion) are applied to the remaining left or right end (here, the joining position c4 on the right side of Figure 8) on a flat support table. This forms a wing body material 23 with ear loops, in which the ear loop portions 4A and 4B are joined at the scored left wing piece x2a and the scored right wing piece x2b drawn on the wing body material 22.
[0070] In the wing body material 23 with ear hooks, the left and right ear hook portions 4A and 4B extend inward in the seat width direction SY from the ear hook joining position and are positioned so as to overlap the base portion of the wing body material excluding the ear hook portions 4A and 4B.
[0071] Next, the eye mask manufacturing apparatus executes a first cutting process. In the first cutting process, as shown in FIG. 8, the wing body material 23 with ear loops (the laminated sheet for wing bodies with ear loops) is moved in the conveying direction C (longitudinal direction Z) while cutting the center portion in the sheet width direction SY (lateral direction Y) into a predetermined shape, thereby dividing (e.g., bisecting) it into two: a left wing piece continuum 24A in which the scored left wing piece x2a continues only on the left side in the longitudinal direction Z, and a right wing piece continuum 24B in which the scored right wing piece x2b continues only on the right side in the longitudinal direction Z. Here, the center portion of the wing body material 22 in the sheet width direction SY (lateral direction Y) is cut into the predetermined shapes that are continuous in the conveying direction C (longitudinal direction Z) to include the left and right outlines 5e, 5f of the scored left wing piece x2a and the scored right wing piece x2b that are aligned in the conveying direction C (longitudinal direction Z), forming the left wing piece continuum 24A and the right wing piece continuum 24B.
[0072] Specifically, the wing body material 23 is cut along the intended cutting lines c5, c5 using a cutting die (not shown) in a predetermined work section W4. The intended cutting lines c5, c5 are symmetrical in the sheet width direction SY and are set to include a left outline 5e and a right outline 5f (see FIG. 2) that extend in the conveying direction C (longitudinal direction Z) at the left and right ends of the eye mask 100. The intended cutting lines c5, c5 here are set as smoothly continuous curves including the left outline 5e and right outline 5f of the eye mask 100 included in each score wing body x2 (x2a, x2b) aligned in the conveying direction C (vertical direction Z), a connecting line 5g connecting the left outline lines 5e, 5e of the eye mask 100 included in adjacent score wing bodies x2 (x2a, x2b) in the conveying direction C (vertical direction Z) in the conveying direction C (vertical direction Z), and a connecting line 5g connecting the right outline lines 5f, 5f.By cutting, the center of the sheet width direction SY of the wing body material 23 is removed, and the left wing piece continuum 24A and right wing piece continuum 24B on the left and right sides are transported to the next process.
[0073] Before cutting, the ear hooks 4A, 4B are held in a position where they do not intersect the planned cutting lines c5, c5 to prevent them from crossing the planned cutting lines c5, c5. Specifically, a plate may be placed between the ear hooks 4A, 4B and the left and right wing piece continuum 24A, 24B. When the wing pieces reach the designated work area W4, the plate may be raised to raise the ear hooks 4A, 4B above the left and right wing piece continuum 24A, 24B, thereby preventing them from being cut. Glue may be spot-sprayed on the ear hooks 4A, 4B to maintain their shape. Note that this shape maintenance provided by glue is temporary; the shape maintenance effect naturally disappears during transport after cutting, and no shape maintenance occurs again.
[0074] 9, in a predetermined work section W5, a left side 1a (see FIG. 6) of the scored main body x1 drawn on the main body material 12 and a corresponding connecting side 2a (see FIG. 6) of the scored left wing piece x2a drawn on the left wing piece continuum 24A are overlapped so as to coincide with a continuous left curved line 5a (corresponding to c11 in FIG. 9) that is convex outward, and a right side 1b (see FIG. 6) of the scored main body x1 drawn on the main body material 12 and a corresponding connecting side 2b (see FIG. 6) of the scored right wing piece x2b drawn on the right wing piece continuum 24B are overlapped so as to coincide with a continuous right curved line 5b (corresponding to c11 in FIG. 9) that is convex outward, to form a continuous eye mask body 101. In the eye mask continuum 101, the scoring wings x2 move synchronously with the scoring body x1 on the wearer's face side in the conveyance direction C (longitudinal direction Z).
[0075] In the overlapping process, the main body material 12 is overlapped after a synchronization process is performed to synchronize the conveyance flow of the left wing piece continuum 24A and the right wing piece continuum 24B. Here, the main body material 12 is continuously conveyed, but the left wing piece continuum 24A and the right wing piece continuum 24B are conveyed while stopping and moving repeatedly downstream because the joining process (thermal fusion) of the selvedge portions 4A and 4B in the selvedge portion forming process is performed in a stationary state. As a result, the conveyance flows of the main body material 12 and the left wing piece continuum 24A and the right wing piece continuum 24B are not synchronized. For this reason, a retention section is provided in which the left wing piece continuum 24A and the right wing piece continuum 24B, which are conveyed while repeatedly stopping, remain for a predetermined length or more without applying tension. From downstream of this section, the main body material 12 and the left wing piece continuum 24A and the right wing piece continuum 24B are continuously conveyed at the same speed as the main body material 12, thereby moving synchronously and then overlapping them.
[0076] In this overlapping process, the main body material 12 is placed on top of the left wing piece continuum 24A and the right wing piece continuum 24B so as not to be sandwiched between the main body material 12 and the left wing piece continuum 24A and the right wing piece continuum 24B, and is positioned so as to bridge the space between the left wing piece continuum 24A and the right wing piece continuum 24B.
[0077] Next, the eye mask manufacturing apparatus performs a heat-sealing process in which a left fused portion 3A is formed by heat-sealing the left side 1a (see FIG. 6) of the scored main body x1 and the corresponding connecting side 2a (see FIG. 6) of the scored left wing piece x2a along the inside of the left curved line 5a over the entire length of the overlapping portion, and a right fused portion 3B is formed by heat-sealing the right side 1b (see FIG. 6) of the scored main body x1 and the corresponding connecting side 2b (see FIG. 6) of the scored right wing piece x2b along the inside of the right curved line 5b over the entire length of the overlapping portion, to form an eye mask continuous body 102.
[0078] Specifically, the continuous strip of eye mask material 101 is pressurized and heated (heat-sealed or thermally welded) using a cylindrical embossing die (not shown) in a designated work area W6 along dotted heat-sealing lines c8 set at the overlapping portions of the left side 1a (see FIG. 6) of the marking body x1 and the corresponding side 2a (see FIG. 6) of the marking left wing piece x2a, and the overlapping portions of the right side 1b (see FIG. 6) of the marking body x1 and the corresponding side 2b (see FIG. 6) of the marking right wing piece x2b. As a result, frictional heat is applied at the pressurized positions (e.g., ultrasonic welding, high-frequency welding, etc.), joining the materials 12, 24A, and 24B. The resulting continuous eye mask material 102 is formed with dotted heat-sealed portions 6C (hardened portions) along the lines c8.
[0079] Finally, the eye mask manufacturing apparatus performs a second cutting process in which the eye mask continuum 102 is cut along the left curved line 5a at the outside of the left fused portion 3A to separate the main body material 12 from the left wing piece continuum 24A, and along the right curved line 5b at the outside of the right fused portion 3B to separate the main body material 12 from the right wing piece continuum 24B. The adjacent scored main body x1 and scored wing body x2 of the eye mask 100 continuum are cut along the upper outline line 5c and the lower outline line 5d to separate the eye masks 100 into individual eye masks 100.
[0080] Specifically, the eye mask continuum 102 is cut along intended cutting lines c9, c10, and c11 using a cutting die (not shown) in a predetermined work section W7. The intended cutting lines c9 and c10 are set as upper and lower outlines 5c and 5d (see FIG. 2) extending in the sheet width direction SY (lateral direction Y) at the top and bottom ends of the eye mask 100. The intended cutting line c11 is set as left and right curved lines 5a and 5b (see FIG. 2) extending in the sheet width direction SY (lateral direction Y) at the top and bottom ends of the eye mask 100. By cutting, the center of the eye mask continuum 102 in the sheet width direction SY remains intermittently to form the eye mask 100, while the remaining portion is removed.
[0081] According to the manufacturing method of the first embodiment, there is a process of overlapping two materials that will become the main body 1 and the wing body 2 (overlapping process), but this is basically processing of flat materials, and there is no need for complex processes such as adding three-dimensional changes to the materials and then processing them, and both processes can be carried out easily.
[0082] The eye mask 100 of the first embodiment has a basic shape in which the main body 1 and the left and right wing pieces 2A and 2B overlap in a storage configuration. In this basic configuration, the main body 1 and the left and right wing pieces 2A and 2B are simply overlapping and flat, with no three-dimensional shape. This eye mask 100 can be easily manufactured by arranging the main body 1 and the left and right wing pieces 2A and 2B flat to form the flat basic shape and then heat-sealing the overlapping curved edges (1a, 2a and 1b, 2b). The manufactured eye mask 100 easily reproduces its three-dimensional shape in use, thanks to the heat-sealed portions 3A and 3B forming folds. In contrast, the eye mask of Patent Document 1 has a three-dimensional basic shape. If the eye mask is folded flat to store the mask, for example, by folding the left and right sides, the folds create creases that prevent it from reproducing its original three-dimensional shape when unfolded for the next use. Manufacturing the eye mask requires advanced techniques to sew the necessary parts in a way that maintains the three-dimensional shape, making it highly difficult to manufacture.
[0083] The first embodiment of the present invention has been described above, but this is merely an example, and the present invention is not limited to this. Various modifications, such as additions and omissions, can be made based on the knowledge of those skilled in the art, as long as they do not deviate from the spirit of the claims.
[0084] Below, we will explain an embodiment different from the first embodiment. The first embodiment and the following embodiments can be combined as appropriate within the scope of not causing technical contradictions. Note that parts with the same structure or function as those in the first embodiment will be given the same reference numerals and their description may be omitted.
[0085] A second embodiment will now be described. In the second embodiment, the same eye mask 100 as in the first embodiment is manufactured by a method different from that used in the first embodiment. The manufacturing method will be described below.
[0086] The outlines of the marking bodies x1, x2a, and x2b and the lines c3 to c11 and c5c are all imaginary lines indicating the planned outline lines, planned processing lines, etc., and do not actually exist.
[0087] First, the eye mask manufacturing device executes a main body material forming process (main body sheet material laminating process) to form a main body material 12 (main body laminated sheet body) from strip-shaped sheet materials 11a, 11b, and 11c of a predetermined width. The main body material forming process is the same as that in the first embodiment, so a description thereof will be omitted (see FIG. 7).
[0088] Meanwhile, the eye mask manufacturing device executes the wing body material forming process (wing body sheet material laminating process). In the wing body material forming process, as shown in Fig. 10, strip-shaped sheet materials 21a, 21b, and 21c of predetermined widths are fed from multiple rolls, and these are stacked so that their longitudinal directions are aligned to form wing body laminated sheet 21, which is then conveyed in the conveying direction C along the longitudinal direction.
[0089] The main differences from the first embodiment in Figure 10 are that the cutting lines c5, c5 described below, which become the left outline 5e and right outline 5f of the eye mask 100, are assumed to be drawn as continuous curved lines that convex outward in the sheet width direction SY, and that the positions of the left scribing piece x2a and the right scribing piece x2b in the sheet width direction SY are located on the center side of the sheet width direction SY, opposite to those in the first embodiment.
[0090] Next, the left wing piece 2A and the right wing piece 2B are transferred to the laminated sheet 21 so as to be line-symmetrical on both sides of the center line N, forming the scribed wing body x2 consisting of the scribed left wing piece x2a and the scribed right wing piece x2b, and are then repeatedly transferred in the conveying direction C (longitudinal direction Z) to form multiple scribed wing bodies x2. Then, continuous dot-like heat fusion (thermal welding) is performed along the outline of each of the scribed left wing piece x2a and the scribed right wing piece x2b on the inside (inside the sheet width direction SY) of the outline to form the heat-sealed portion 6D. The heat-sealed portion 6D forms the wing body material 22 (wing body laminated sheet body) in which the multiple sheet materials 21a, 21b, and 21c are integrated, and the wing body material 22 is transported in the conveying direction C along the longitudinal direction.
[0091] Specifically, as in the first embodiment, a strip-shaped laminated sheet 21 is pressurized and heated (heat-sealed, thermally welded) along the dotted heat-sealing lines c3 using a cylindrical embossing mold (not shown) in a designated work section W12 to form a wing body material 22 (laminated sheet body) having a heat-sealed portion 6D.
[0092] Next, the eye mask manufacturing apparatus performs the ear loop forming process, in which the left and right ear loops 4A and 4B are individually formed on the left and right wing pieces x2a and x2b of the wing body material 22 as the scribing wing bodies x2, as shown in FIG.
[0093] Specifically, as in the first embodiment, both ends of the ear loop strings that will become the ear loops 4A, 4B are overlapped with the predetermined joining positions c4, c4 of the scribed left wing piece x2a and the scribed right wing piece x2b drawn on the strip-shaped wing body material 22, and pressure and heat (thermal fusion, heat welding) are applied to both ends (c4, c4) in the predetermined work section W13. This forms the wing body material 23 with the ear loops, to which the ear loops 4A, 4B are joined.
[0094] In addition, in the wing body material 23, the left and right ear hook portions 4A and 4B extend outward in the seat width direction SY from the ear hook joining position and are positioned so that they extend outside the seat width direction SY from the base of the wing body material excluding the ear hook portions 4A and 4B.
[0095] Next, the eye mask manufacturing apparatus performs a first cutting process. 10, the wing body material 23 is moved in the conveying direction C (longitudinal direction Z) and divided at the center of the sheet width direction SY (lateral direction Y) along a linear dividing line c5c (here, a single dividing line) to divide (e.g., bisect) into two halves: a left wing piece continuum 24A in which the scored left wing piece x2a continues only on the right side (right side in the longitudinal direction Z) along the conveying direction C, and a right wing piece continuum 24B in which the scored right wing piece x2b continues only on the left side (left side in the longitudinal direction Z) along the conveying direction C. Here, the left wing piece continuum 24A and the right wing piece continuum 24B are formed by cutting both outer sides of the wing body material 22 in the sheet width direction SY (lateral direction Y) into predetermined shapes that continue in the conveying direction C (longitudinal direction Z) so as to include left and right outlines 5e, 5f of the scored left wing piece x2a and the scored right wing piece x2b that are aligned in the conveying direction C (longitudinal direction Z).
[0096] Specifically, the wing body blank 23 is cut along the intended cutting lines c5, c5, c5c using a cutting die (not shown) in a predetermined work section W14. The intended cutting lines c5, c5 are symmetrical about the intended cutting line c5c in the sheet width direction SY and are set along left and right outlines 5e and 5f (see FIG. 2) extending in the conveying direction C at the left and right ends of the wing body 2 (each scoring wing body x2). The intended cutting lines c5, c5 here are set as smoothly continuous curves including the left outlines 5e and right outlines 5f of each scoring wing body x2 (x2a, x2b) aligned in the conveying direction C, a connecting line 5g connecting the left outlines 5e, 5e of adjacent scoring wing bodies x2 (x2a, x2b) in the conveying direction C, and a connecting line 5g connecting the right outlines 5f, 5f. By cutting, both ends of the wing body material 23 in the sheet width direction SY are removed, and the central left wing piece continuum 24A and right wing piece continuum 24B are transported to the next process in a state where they are divided into two along the planned cutting line c5c.
[0097] Before cutting, the ear hooking portions 4A, 4B must be held in a position where they do not cross the intended cutting lines c5, c5 so that they do not cross the intended cutting lines c5, c5. Specifically, this can be done in the same way as in the first embodiment.
[0098] Then, the eye mask manufacturing apparatus executes a continuum replacement process. In the continuum replacement process, in a process (work section W15) in which the right wing piece continuum 24B, which is continuous on the left side (left side of the vertical direction Z) along the conveying direction C, and the left wing piece continuum 24A, which is continuous on the right side (right side of the vertical direction Z) along the conveying direction C, move synchronously in the conveying direction C (vertical direction Z), the right wing piece continuum 24B is shifted to the right and the left wing piece continuum 24A is shifted to the left by mutual reversal around the dividing line c5c or cross movement across the dividing line c5c, thereby mutually replacing the left and right.
[0099] After the continuum replacement process, the eye mask manufacturing apparatus performs a layering process, synchronously moving the main body material 12 and the left wing piece continuum 24A and right wing piece continuum 24B in the conveying direction C (longitudinal direction Z) to layer them together to form the eye mask continuum 101. Next, a heat fusion process is performed to form the eye mask continuum 102 in which the main body material 12, 24A, and 24B are joined together. Finally, a second cutting process is performed to separate and form individual eye masks 100 from the eye mask continuum 102. These processes are the same as those in the first embodiment, so a description thereof will be omitted (see FIG. 9).
[0100] A third embodiment will now be described. In the third embodiment, the same eye mask 100 as in the first embodiment is manufactured by a method different from that of the first and second embodiments. The manufacturing method will be described below. Note that line c18 is an imaginary line and does not actually exist.
[0101] First, prepare the main body 1 and the wing body 2. As shown in Figure 11, the left side 1a of the main body 1 and the corresponding connecting side 2a of the left wing piece 2A have the same outer shape, with a left-side curved line 5a that is convex outward, and the right side 1b of the main body 1 and the corresponding connecting side 2b of the right wing piece 2B have the same outer shape, with a right-side curved line 5b that is convex outward. Reference numerals 6C and 6D denote heat-sealed portions that join the multi-layer main body 1 and the multi-layer wing body 2, and are already formed at this stage.
[0102] Next, the overlapping step is carried out. In the overlapping step, the left wing piece 2A and the right wing piece 2B of the wing body 2 are individually arranged to overlap with each other on the wearer's face side along the left curved line 5a and the right curved line 5b with respect to the main body 1, as shown in Fig. 12 .
[0103] Next, the heat-sealing process is carried out. In the heat-sealing process, as shown in FIG. 13, a left-side fused portion 3A is formed and connected by heat-sealing along the inside of the left curved line 5a along the entire length of the overlapping portion between the left side 1a of the main body 1 and the corresponding side 2a of the left wing piece 2A, while a right-side fused portion 3B is formed and connected by heat-sealing along the inside of the right curved line 5b along the entire length of the overlapping portion between the right side 1b of the main body 1 and the corresponding side of the right wing piece 2B. Here, pressure and heat are applied (heat-sealing, thermal welding) along the dotted heat-sealing lines c18 set in the overlapping portions, forming dotted, hardened heat-sealed portions 3A and 3B (hardened portions). This completes the eye mask 100.
[0104] The ear loop forming process is performed before the overlapping process. Here, the left and right ear loops 4A, 4B are already formed individually on the left wing piece 2A and the right wing piece 2B at the stage of preparing the main body 1 and wing body 2 (see Figure 11). Specifically, both ends of the ear loop strings that will become the ear loops 4A, 4B are overlapped at the predetermined ear loop joining positions c4, c4 on the left wing piece 2A and the right wing piece 2B, and the ends are joined by applying pressure and heat (thermal fusion, thermal welding).
[0105] A fourth embodiment will now be described. In the fourth embodiment, the same eye mask 100 as in the first embodiment is manufactured in a similar manner to that in the third embodiment.
[0106] The outline lines of the marking bodies x1, x2a, x2b and the lines c19, c20, c21 are all imaginary lines indicating the planned outline lines, planned processing lines, etc., and do not actually exist.
[0107] In the fourth embodiment, instead of the overlapping step (Fig. 11 → Fig. 12) of the third embodiment, an overlapping and cutting step is carried out. In the overlapping and cutting step, main body fabric 10 that can become main body 1 and left wing piece fabric 20A and right wing piece fabric 20B that can become wing bodies 2 are overlapped on the wearer's face side and cut into the same shape, thereby forming left curved line 5a and right curved line 5b that are continuously convex outward, as shown in Fig. 14.
[0108] Specifically, the overlapping main body fabric 10 and left and right wing piece fabrics 20A and 20B are cut along the intended cutting lines c19, c20, and c21. The intended cutting lines c21 are symmetrical in the sheet width direction SY and are set along the left and right outlines 5a and 5b (see FIG. 2) which are the left and right ends of the main body 1 (scored main body x1). The intended cutting lines c19 and c20 are set along the upper outline 5c and lower outline 5d (see FIG. 2) which are the top and bottom ends of the main body 1 (scored main body x1). By cutting, the portions outside the intended cutting lines c19, c20, and c21 are removed, and the eye mask 100 shown in FIG. 13 is formed.
[0109] The ear hook forming process may be performed after the overlapping and cutting process, but it may also be performed before the overlapping and cutting process, and the left and right ear hook portions 4A, 4B (e.g., circular or loop-shaped) may be formed separately in the left wing piece fabric 20A and the right wing piece fabric 20B, as in the third embodiment.
[0110] The fifth embodiment will now be described. The eye mask 110 of the fifth embodiment is different from the eye mask 100 of the first embodiment. The manufacturing method is also different.
[0111] The eye mask 110 of the fifth embodiment is similar to the eye mask 100 of the first embodiment (see FIGS. 1 to 6). The same functional parts are denoted by the same reference numerals and the description thereof will be omitted.
[0112] As shown in Figures 15 to 17, the eye mask 110 of the fifth embodiment differs from the eye mask 100 of the first embodiment (see Figure 1) in terms of the ear loops 4A and 4B. The ear loops 4A and 4B of the eye mask 110 of the fifth embodiment are made of a stretchable sheet material, here a single-layer (or multiple-layer) fabric, and are formed from a stretchable material (such as a stretchable nonwoven fabric) that is more flexible than the main body 1. Furthermore, this stretchable material is also a heat-sealable material that can be melted and welded by heat treatment. Each of the left and right ear loops 4A and 4B has an ear loop hole 4H (see Figure 15) formed in the center for ear looping.
[0113] Before wearing, when the two wing pieces 2A, 2B are overlapped, these ear hook portions 4A, 4B are each closed by the intended tear line 4h (here, perforations) (see Figure 17), and when the two wing pieces 2A, 2B are unfolded and stretched outward in the lateral direction Y during wearing, the intended tear line 4h is torn and the left and right ear hook holes 4H (spaces for inserting ears) are each opened (see Figure 15).
[0114] When wearing the goggles, the left and right wing pieces 2A, 2B are unfolded and stretched outward in the horizontal direction Y, forming the eye bulges 100A, 100B and the left and right ear hooks 4A, 4B by breaking the planned breaking lines 4h. Specifically, by pinching the ear hooks 4A, 4B (before the planned breaking lines 4h are broken) at the portions 4a, 4b (see FIG. 17) and pulling them outward in the horizontal direction Y, the planned breaking lines 4h are broken and ear hook holes 4H (see FIG. 15) are formed.
[0115] The intended tear line 4h here is linear, and when in use, the ear holes 4H are formed by cutting and unfolding the intended tear line 4h in the horizontal direction. The intended tear line 4h may be formed in a circular shape, and the ear holes 4H may be formed by cutting it. The intended tear line 4h may be omitted, and the ear holes 4H may already be present.
[0116] A method for manufacturing the eye mask 110 of the fifth embodiment will now be described.
[0117] The outlines of the marking bodies x1, x2a, and x2b and the lines c3, c5 to c12, c5c, and c5h are all imaginary lines indicating the intended processing positions, etc., and do not actually exist.
[0118] First, the eye mask manufacturing device executes a main body material forming process (main body sheet material laminating process) to form a main body material 12 (main body laminated sheet body) from strip-shaped sheet materials 11a, 11b, and 11c of a predetermined width. The main body material forming process is the same as that in the first embodiment, so a description thereof will be omitted (see FIG. 7).
[0119] Meanwhile, the eye mask manufacturing apparatus executes a wing body material forming process (wing body sheet material laminating process). In the wing body material forming process, as shown in Fig. 18, strip-shaped sheet materials 21a, 21e, and 21b of predetermined widths are fed from multiple rolls, and these are stacked so that their longitudinal directions coincide to form wing body laminate sheet 21, which is then conveyed in the longitudinal conveying direction C. Note that wing body laminate sheet 21 may be a single layer.
[0120] On the assumption that the left wing piece 2A and the right wing piece 2B are transferred to the laminated sheet 21 so as to be line-symmetrical on both sides of the center line N, forming the scribed wing body x2 consisting of the scribed left wing piece x2a and the scribed right wing piece x2b, and that multiple scribed wing bodies x2 are formed by repeatedly transferring them in the conveying direction C (longitudinal direction Z), the scribed left wing piece x2a and the scribed right wing piece x2b are thermally fused in continuous dots along their outlines (inside the sheet width direction SY) to form heat-sealed sections 6D and 7D. The heat-sealed sections 6D and 7D form the wing body material 22 (a wing body laminated sheet body) in which the multiple sheet materials 21a, 21e, and 21b are integrated, and the wing body material 22 is then conveyed in the conveying direction C along the longitudinal direction.
[0121] Specifically, as in the first embodiment, a strip-shaped laminated sheet 21 is pressurized and heated (heat-sealed, thermally welded) along the dotted heat-sealing lines c3 and c12 using a cylindrical embossing mold (not shown) in a designated work section W22 to form a wing body material 22 (laminated sheet body) having a heat-sealed portion 6D.
[0122] In the work section W22, the strip-shaped laminated sheet 21 is pressurized and heated (heat-sealed, thermally welded) along both ends in the sheet width direction SY (more precisely, both ends of the plurality of sheet materials 21a, 21b) at dotted lines c12 to be heat-sealed, along with the lines c6 to be heat-sealed, to form heat-sealed portions 7D (hardened portions) together with the heat-sealed portions 6C. This forms the wing body material 22 in which the plurality of sheet materials 21a, 21e, 21b are stably joined in the conveying direction C.
[0123] The width of the sheet material 21e in the sheet width direction SY is wider than the remaining sheet materials 21a and 21b, which have the same width as the main body material 12, and the sheet material 21e overlaps with the remaining sheet materials 21a and 21b, which have the same width, at the center in the sheet width direction SY and is joined with both ends extending outward.
[0124] The material of sheet material 21e is a stretchable material (e.g., stretchable nonwoven fabric) that is more flexible than sheet materials 21a and 21b. The areas of sheet material 21e that do not overlap with sheet materials 21a and 21b are ear hook forming areas 40, 40 where ear hook portions 4A and 4B will be formed later. The absence of overlapping sheet material provides a high degree of flexibility (stretchability) suitable for ear hooks. Heat-sealed areas 6D and 7D are not formed in ear hook forming areas 40, 40.
[0125] Next, the eye mask manufacturing apparatus performs a first cutting process, in which the wing body material 22 on which the scribed left wing piece x2a and the scribed right wing piece x2b forming the scribed wing body x2 are formed is moved in the conveying direction C (longitudinal direction Z) so as to be wider than the main body material 12 on which the scribed main body x1 is formed and to extend beyond both ends of the sheet material 21e in the sheet width direction SY, as shown in FIG.
[0126] Then, while moving the wing body material 22 in the conveying direction C (longitudinal direction Z), it is divided at the center in the sheet width direction SY (lateral direction Y) along a linear dividing line c5c (here, a single dividing line) to divide (e.g., bisect) into two halves: a left wing piece continuum 23A in which the scored left wing piece x2a continues only on the right side in the conveying direction C (right side in the longitudinal direction Z), and a right wing piece continuum 23B in which the scored right wing piece x2b continues only on the left side in the conveying direction C (left side in the longitudinal direction Z). Here, the left wing piece continuum 23A and the right wing piece continuum 23B are formed by cutting both outer sides of the wing body material 22 in the sheet width direction SY (lateral direction Y) into predetermined shapes that continue in the conveying direction C (longitudinal direction Z) so as to include the left and right outlines 5e, 5f of the scored left wing piece x2a and the scored right wing piece x2b that are aligned in the conveying direction C (longitudinal direction Z).
[0127] Specifically, the wing body blank 22 is cut along the intended cutting lines c5, c5, c5c in a predetermined work section W23 using a cutting die (not shown). The intended cutting line c5c is set so as to extend linearly in the sheet width direction SY toward the conveying direction C. The intended cutting lines c5, c5 are set symmetrically in the sheet width direction SY around the intended cutting line c5c. The intended cutting lines c5, c5 are set on both outer sides of the sheet width direction SY (lateral direction Y) of the wing body blank 22 as left and right outlines 5e, 5f of the scored left wing piece x2a and the scored right wing piece x2b, a connecting line 5g connecting the left outlines 5e of the scored left wing piece x2a and the scored right wing piece x2b that are aligned in the conveying direction C, and a connecting line 5g connecting the right outlines 5f. By cutting, both ends of the wing body material 22 in the sheet width direction SY are removed, and the left wing piece continuum 23A and the right wing piece continuum 23B remaining in the center are divided into two at the planned cutting line c5c, and the left wing piece continuum 23A and the right wing piece continuum 23B are transported to the next process.
[0128] In this first cutting process, an ear loop forming process is performed in the work section W23. The ear loop forming process individually forms left and right ear loops 4A, 4B (e.g., annular or loop-shaped) in the left and right wing pieces x2a and x2b drawn on the wing body blank 23 as the scored wing body x2. The left and right wing pieces x2a and x2b are set in the ear loop forming regions 40, 40, including the corresponding ear loops 4A, 4B. The cutting lines c5, c5 are set to include the left and right outlines 5e, 5f of the left and right wing pieces x2a and x2b (including the ear loops 4A, 4B). By cutting, a left wing piece continuum 23A and a right wing piece continuum 23B are formed, each having a sheet-like ear loop 4A, 4B. Because the ear loops 4A, 4B are formed by cutting, there is no need to stop the conveyance of the wing body blank 22; cutting can be performed continuously as the wing body blank 22 is conveyed. When joining the string-like ear hook portions 4A, 4B as in the first embodiment, it is necessary to temporarily stop the transport flow of the left wing piece continuum 23A and the right wing piece continuum 23B at the timing of the joining process, but this is not necessary here.
[0129] In addition, during this first cutting process, a cutting die (not shown) is used in a predetermined work section W23 to cut along the intended cutting lines c5h, c5h, as part of the ear loop forming process. The intended cutting lines c5h, c5h are set in the scored left wing piece x2a and the scored right wing piece x2b to form predetermined shapes for forming the ear holes 4H, 4H. Cutting along the intended cutting lines c5h, c5h forms intended tear lines 4h (perforations) that tear during wear to transition from a closed configuration to an open configuration for ear insertion. Sheet-like ear loop portions 4A, 4B having the intended tear lines 4h are created in the scored left wing piece x2a and the scored right wing piece x2b, respectively. In this case, because the ear loop forming regions 40, 40 are located at both ends of the sheet in the width direction SY, they do not overlap any of the intended cutting lines (c5, c5, c5c, c5h, c5h), and no measures are required to eliminate the overlap.
[0130] Then, the eye mask manufacturing apparatus executes a continuum replacement process. In the continuum replacement process, in a process (work section W24) in which the right wing piece continuum 23B, which is continuous on the left side (left side of the vertical direction Z) along the conveying direction C, and the left wing piece continuum 23A, which is continuous on the right side (right side of the vertical direction Z) along the conveying direction C, move synchronously in the conveying direction C (vertical direction Z), the right wing piece continuum 23B is shifted to the right and the left wing piece continuum 23A is shifted to the left by mutual reversal around the dividing line c5c or cross movement across the dividing line c5c, thereby mutually replacing the left and right.
[0131] After the continuum replacement process, the eye mask manufacturing apparatus performs a layering process to form eye mask continuum 111 in which main body material 12, left wing piece continuum 23A, and right wing piece continuum 23B are layered together. Next, a heat fusion process is performed to form eye mask continuum 112 in which 12, 23A, and 23B are joined together. Finally, a second cutting process is performed to separate individual eye masks 110 from eye mask continuum 112. These processes are the same as those in the first embodiment, so a description thereof will be omitted (see FIG. 9).
[0132] A sixth embodiment will now be described. In the sixth embodiment, the same eye mask 110 as in the fifth embodiment is manufactured using a method similar to that of the third embodiment. The manufacturing method will be described below. Note that line c28 is an imaginary line and does not actually exist.
[0133] First, prepare the main body 1 and the wing body 2. As shown in Figure 20, the left side 1a of the main body 1 and the corresponding connecting side 2a of the left wing piece 2A have the same outer shape, with a left-curved line 5a that is convex outward, and the right side 1b of the main body 1 and the corresponding connecting side 2b of the right wing piece 2B have the same outer shape, with a right-curved line 5b that is convex outward. Reference numerals 6C, 6D, and 7D denote heat-sealed portions that join the multi-layer main body 1 and the multi-layer wing body 2, and are already formed at this stage.
[0134] Next, the overlapping step is carried out. In the overlapping step, the left wing piece 2A and the right wing piece 2B of the wing body 2 are individually arranged to overlap with each other on the wearer's face side along the left curved line 5a and the right curved line 5b with respect to the main body 1, as shown in Fig. 21 .
[0135] Next, the heat-sealing process is carried out. In the heat-sealing process, as shown in Fig. 22, a heat-sealing line c28 (see Fig. 21) is set along the inside of the left curved line 5a along the entire length of the overlapping portion between the left side 1a of the main body 1 and the corresponding side of the left wing piece 2A, and a left-side fused portion 3A is formed by heat-sealing along the line c28 to connect the overlapping portions. Meanwhile, a heat-sealing line c28 (see Fig. 21) is set along the inside of the right curved line 5b along the entire length of the overlapping portion between the right side 1b of the main body 1 and the corresponding side of the right wing piece 2B, and a right-side fused portion 3B is formed by heat-sealing along the line c28 to connect the overlapping portions. This completes the eye mask 110.
[0136] The ear hook forming process is performed before the overlapping process. Here, the left and right ear hooks 4A, 4B are already formed individually on the left wing piece 2A and the right wing piece 2B at the stage of preparing the main body 1 and the wing body 2 (see Figure 20).
[0137] The seventh embodiment will be described. In the seventh embodiment, the same eye mask 110 as in the fifth embodiment is manufactured by a method similar to that of the fourth embodiment. Note that lines c29, c30, and c31 are imaginary lines and do not actually exist.
[0138] In the seventh embodiment, instead of the overlapping step (Fig. 20 → Fig. 21) of the sixth embodiment, an overlapping and cutting step is carried out. 23.
[0139] Specifically, the overlapping main body fabric 10 and left and right wing piece fabrics 20A and 20B are cut along the intended cutting lines c29, c30, and c31. The intended cutting lines c31 and c31 are symmetrical in the sheet width direction SY and are set along the left and right outlines 5a and 5b (see FIG. 15) which are the left and right ends of the main body 1 (scored main body x1). The intended cutting lines c29 and c30 are set along the upper outline 5c and lower outline 5d (see FIG. 15) which are the top and bottom ends of the main body 1 (scored main body x1). By cutting, the portions outside the intended cutting lines c29, c30, and c31 are removed, and the eye mask 110 shown in FIG. 15 is formed.
[0140] The ear hook forming process may be performed after the overlapping and cutting process, but it may also be performed before the overlapping and cutting process, and the left and right ear hook portions 4A, 4B (e.g., circular or loop-shaped) may be formed separately in the left wing piece fabric 20A and the right wing piece fabric 20B, as in the sixth embodiment.
[0141] As a modified example, when continuously producing sheet-like ear hook portions 4A, 4B as in the fifth embodiment, the method of forming the left wing piece continuum and the right wing piece continuum can be used, as shown in Fig. 8. Specifically, in the first cutting step of Fig. 8, the central cut-out region sandwiched between the left wing piece continuum 24A and the right wing piece continuum 24B formed by cutting in the center is cut or perforated so that it connects to the left wing piece continuum and the right wing piece continuum and forms a ring or loop when unfolded, thereby forming the cut-out region into the ear hook portions 4A, 4B.
[0142] Furthermore, as a modification of the first and second embodiments, when ear loop strings such as elastic cords are used as the ear loop portions 4A and 4B, the ear loop portion forming process may be performed immediately after the second cutting process in Figure 9 or immediately after the first cutting process in Figure 8.
