The washing machine 1 illustrated in Figure 1 is a so-called vertical-axis type washing machine in which the rotational axis of the rotating drum extends in the vertical direction. The washing machine 1 is an example of a garment processing device capable of performing predetermined processes on clothes, in this case, a washing process to wash clothes, a rinsing process to rinse clothes, and a dewatering process to dewater clothes, and is equipped with a water tank 3 inside an outer casing 2 that constitutes the outer shell of the device body.
