AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing coating agent compositions for wood plastics face a challenge in achieving a balance between texture (flexibility, elongation at break, resilience) and durability (abrasion resistance, blocking resistance), requiring one property to be sacrificed.

Method used

A resin composition comprising a thermoplastic resin composed of polyurethane resin or a composite resin with a specific weight ratio of polyurethane resin to vinyl resin, combined with lignocellulose material and solvent, applied to a substrate and dried to form a film.

Benefits of technology

The resin composition allows for the easy production of a dried film with excellent texture and durability, including flexibility, elongation at break, resilience, abrasion resistance, and blocking resistance.

Abstract

To provide a resin composition which can easily adjust a dry film (a sheet or a coated film) that is excellent in feeling (flexibility, elongation at break and rebound resilience and the like) and durability (abrasion resistance and blocking resistance and the like).SOLUTION: A resin composition is composed of a thermoplastic resin (R) composed of a polyurethane resin (U), or a composite resin (UV) constituted of a polyurethane resin (U) and a vinyl resin (V), a lignocellulose substance (L) and a solvent (S), wherein a weight ratio (U:V) of the polyurethane resin (U) to the vinyl-based resin (V) in the composite resin (UV) is 30:70 to 90:10, and on the basis of the weight of the thermoplastic resin (R), the lignocellulose substance (L) and the solvent (S), a content of the thermoplastic resin (R) is 4-40 wt.%, a content of the lignocellulose substance (L) is 4-30 wt.%, and a content of the solvent (S) is 50-90 wt.%.SELECTED DRAWING: None
