To provide an injection device which can be safely and reliably activated for self-administering a drug.SOLUTION: An injection device 410 may include: a housing 412 having an opening 414; a drug storage container 420 including a delivery member 416 with an insertion end 428 configured to extend at least partially through the opening; and a plunger 426. A drive mechanism 430 may be included for expelling a drug from the drug storage container through the delivery member.
