AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

The existing column switching structure in reinforced concrete structures requires labor-intensive rebar placement and concrete pouring due to different reinforcement arrangements and high density at corners, leading to inefficiencies in constructability.

Method used

A reinforced concrete column switching structure where main reinforcement bars are arranged continuously across both rectangular and small-section columns, with auxiliary reinforcement at corners to stabilize stirrups, eliminating the need for individual bar arrangements and reducing density, thereby simplifying the reinforcement and concrete pouring process.

Benefits of technology

This configuration reduces the effort required for reinforcement and concrete placement, ensuring efficient and smooth switching between rectangular and small-section columns by maintaining consistent reinforcement arrangements and avoiding inefficiencies at corners and joints.

Abstract

To improve workability when switching a reinforced concrete column into a square column and a small cross-section column on an upper side and a lower side with a predetermined upper and lower intermediate portion as a boundary.SOLUTION: Provided is a reinforced concrete column switching structure in which a reinforced concrete column 20 is switched to a rectangular column 20B with a square cross section and a small cross-section column 20C with a small cross section in which four corners of the square cross section are retired toward the center of the column on an upper side and a lower side with a predetermined upper and lower intermediate portion 20A as a boundary. In the column 20, as a main reinforcement 21 of the rectangular column 20B and the small cross-section column 20C, a through main reinforcement 21 is arranged across the rectangular column 20B and the small cross-section column 20C after making the main reinforcement arrangement in the rectangular column 20B and the main reinforcement arrangement in the small cross-section column 20C the same in plan view. Auxiliary reinforcements 24 are arranged at four corners of the rectangular column 20B to hold each corner of a tie bar 22, which is bent into a rectangular shape in plan view according to the cross-sectional shape of the rectangular column 20B while surrounding the through main reinforcement 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
