Abstract

To solve a problem of damaging, in a case where a liquid that is ejected from a nozzle of a liquid ejection unit contains an inorganic pigment, the nozzle surface due to wiping of the nozzle surface.SOLUTION: A liquid ejection device 11 includes: a liquid ejection unit 20 having on a nozzle surface 40 a nozzle N4 capable of ejecting black ink containing carbon black and a nozzle N3 capable of ejecting cyan ink not containing a material having hardness equal to or higher than that of the carbon black; and a control unit 29.
