Abstract

To provide a technology of suppressing deterioration of printing quality by avoiding printing to a region where application unevenness of process liquid in a base material or a wrinkle in the base material occurs.SOLUTION: A printing system includes: a coating device 20 that applies a base material with process liquid by bringing a coating roller attached with the process liquid into contact with the base material conveyed along a conveyance path; a printing device 30 that performs printing on a surface of the base material coated with the process liquid; and a control part 50 that controls the printing device 30. The control part 50 includes: a contact start position specification part 52 that specifies a contact start position at which the coating roller and the base material start contact in the base material; a printing unsuitable region setting part 53 that sets a region having a predetermined length from the contact start position in the conveyance direction as a printing unsuitable region in the base material; and a printing control part 54 that stops printing to the printing unsuitable region by the printing device 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
