Abstract

A novel immunotherapeutic agent useful for treating obesity is provided. [Solution] A pharmaceutical composition containing a peptide having a specific amino acid sequence containing a B-cell epitope. The composition preferably contains an aluminum salt (Alhydrogel (Al(OH)3) and monophosphoryl lipid A as adjuvants. By intramuscularly administering the composition to a subject, antibodies capable of binding to ApoB-100 are produced in the body, and the antibodies exert a therapeutic effect against obesity.
