Abstract
Description
Slide fastener and opening device for slide fastener
[0001] The present invention relates to a slide fastener having an opening device, and an opening device for a slide fastener.
[0002] For example, in a slide fastener used for front-opening garments such as jackets and overcoats, an opening device is provided at one end of each of the left and right fastener stringers. The opening device generally has a box body and a box pin attached to one end of one fastener stringer, and an insert pin attached to one end of the other fastener stringer.
[0003] A known conventional slide fastener equipped with an opening device has a sloped portion formed on the top surface of the box body that slopes downward from the side wall of the box pin insertion hole to the side wall of the insert pin insertion hole, and when the box body and the slider come into contact, the slider is formed so that it can tilt toward the insert pin insertion hole of the box body, allowing the insert pin to be inserted smoothly and easily from diagonally above into the insert pin insertion hole via the slider (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
[0004] Japanese Patent No. 3621006
[0005] However, depending on the configuration of the slide fastener, such as a waterproof slide fastener with a waterproof film attached to a woven zipper, force is required to pull up the slider when closing the slide fastener, and when trying to pull up the slider, the slider is likely to be twisted toward the box pin.
[0006] Specifically, as shown in FIG. 13A, when the slider 40 is brought into contact with the front surface of the box body 62 and the insert pin 70 is inserted into the insert pin insertion hole of the box body 62 via the element guide path 48 of the slider 40 and accommodated therein, if an attempt is made to lift up the slider 40, the slider 40 will be twisted toward the pin box 61 as shown in FIG. 13B.
[0007] In particular, a knitted fastener is obtained by knitting a fastener tape and simultaneously knitting a coil-shaped fastener element into the tape-side edge of the fastener tape, and the fastener stringer is easily formed flexibly. Therefore, as the slider 40 is twisted, the fastener element row 30A having the box pin 61 and the box body 62 is pushed by the guide post 45, and the interlocking head 32 of the rearmost element 31a closest to the box pin 61 moves forward (away from the box pin 61), which may collide with the interlocking head of the rearmost element 31b closest to the insert pin 70 in the fastener element row 30B having the insert pin 70, resulting in incorrect engagement. Therefore, the rearmost elements 31a, 31b closest to the box pin 61 and the insert pin 70 collide with each other and incorrectly engage with each other, which may prevent the slider 40 from being pulled up smoothly.
[0008] The present invention has been made in consideration of the above-mentioned circumstances, and its object is to provide a slide fastener and an opening device for a slide fastener that can improve operability when pulling up the slider.

[0012] An embodiment of the slide fastener according to the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the drawings. In the following description, the upper side refers to the near side of the page in Fig. 1, the lower side refers to the far side of the page in Fig. 1, the front side refers to the upper side of the page in Fig. 1, the rear side refers to the lower side of the page in Fig. 1, the left side refers to the left side of the page in Fig. 1, and the right side refers to the right side of the page in Fig. 1. Therefore, the left-right direction of the slide fastener is the width direction of a pair of fastener element rows, which will be described later, and is also the width direction of the box body, which will be described later. The front-rear direction of the slide fastener is also the longitudinal direction of the box pin, and the direction in which the element rows close as the slider moves is the front side, and the direction in which the element rows open is the rear side.
[0013] As shown in FIG. 1, the slide fastener 10 of this embodiment comprises a pair of left and right fastener tapes 20A, 20B, a pair of fastener stringers 22A, 22B having a pair of fastener element rows 30A, 30B provided on the opposing tape side edge portions 21 of the pair of fastener tapes 20A, 20B, a slider 40 for engaging and separating the pair of fastener element rows 30A, 30B, upper stop portions 11 provided on the front end sides of the pair of fastener element rows 30A, 30B, and an opening device 60 provided on the rear end side of the pair of fastener element rows 30A.
[0014] The slide fastener 10 is a reverse-use slide fastener in which a pair of fastener element rows 30A, 30B are arranged on the underside of a pair of fastener tapes 20A, 20B. The slide fastener 10 is also a water-stopping slide fastener, and a water-stopping film is attached to the upper surfaces of the fastener tapes 20A, 20B.
[0015] The fastener element rows 30A and 30B are coil-shaped fastener element rows formed by winding a synthetic resin monofilament in a certain direction, and constitute a plurality of fastener elements 31. Examples of the synthetic resin material of the monofilament include polyester and nylon.
[0016] The fastener element rows 30A, 30B are sewn to the underside (backside) of the tape side edge portions 21 of the fastener tapes 20A, 20B by sewing threads (not shown). The slide fastener 10 is a woven fastener as described in the prior art, and the woven fastener is obtained by knitting the fastener tapes 20A, 20B and simultaneously weaving a coil-shaped fastener element row into the tape side edge portions 21 of the fastener tapes 20A, 20B.
[0017] The slider 40 includes a slider body 41 and a pull tab 42 attached to the upper surface of the slider body 41. When the slider 40 is moved toward the top stop portion 11, the left and right fastener element rows 30A, 30B mesh together, and when the slider 40 is moved toward the opening tool 60, the left and right fastener element rows 30A, 30B separate. In this embodiment, the slider 40 is a slider with an automatic stop function, but it may be a slider without an automatic stop function.
[0018] As shown in FIG. 2 , the fuselage 41 includes upper and lower blades 43 and 44 arranged parallel to each other and spaced apart in the vertical direction, a guide post 45 connecting the upper and lower blades 43 and 44 at their front ends, flanges 46a projecting downward along both left and right edges of the upper blade 43, flanges 46b projecting upward along both left and right edges of the lower blade 44, and raised portions 47 formed on the underside of the upper blade 43 to guide the left and right fastener element rows 30A and 30B. A substantially Y-shaped element guide path 48 is formed between the upper blade 43 and the lower blade 44, through which the left and right fastener element rows 30A and 30B are inserted. A tape groove 49 through which the fastener tapes 20A and 20B are inserted is formed between the upper and lower flanges 46a and 46b. The flange may be formed on at least one of the upper blade 43 and the lower blade 44. For example, in a reverse slide fastener as shown in FIG. 1 in which the fastener element rows 30A, 30B are arranged on the underside of the fastener tapes 20A, 20B, a flange may be provided only on the lower wing 44 of the slider.
[0019] The left and right flanges 46a, 46b are formed to guide the inverted portions 33 of the fastener elements 31 in a separated state on the shoulder side of the element guide path 48, and to guide the inverted portions 33 of the fastener elements 31 in a meshed state on the rear opening side of the element guide path 48 (see FIG. 7A). As shown in FIG. 7A, the inner surfaces of the left and right flanges 46a, 46b have parallel portions 46b1 extending from the rear opening, curved portions 46b2 curved so as to move away from each other from the parallel portions 46b1 toward the shoulder side, and straight portions 46b3 extending so as to move away from each other from the curved portions 46b2 toward the shoulder side. Note that, although FIG. 7A shows only the flange 46b of the lower blade 44, the flange 46a of the upper blade 43 also has the same shape in a top view and has a parallel portion, a curved portion, and a straight portion. In addition, in FIG. 7A, the two-dot chain lines indicate the boundary positions of the parallel portion 46b1, the curved portion 46b2, and the straight portion 46b3.
[0020] Returning to Figure 1, the opening device 60 comprises a box pin 61 and a box body 62 arranged on one of the left and right fastener element rows 30A, 30B, i.e., the rear end side of the fastener element 30A, and a slide pin 70 that can be inserted into the box body 62, arranged on the other of the left and right fastener element rows 30A, 30B, i.e., the rear end side of the fastener element 30B.
[0021] The insert pin 70 is attached to the rear end of the tape-side edge portion 21 of the fastener tape 20A by injection molding. As shown in Fig. 3, the insert pin 70 has a rectangular insert pin main body 71, a lateral protrusion 72 that protrudes further toward the box pin 61 from a box pin-side side surface 71a of the insert pin main body 71 that faces the box pin 61 on the front side of the insert pin main body 71, and a front protrusion 73 that protrudes forward from a front surface 71b of the insert pin main body 71.
[0022] Further, a meshing portion 74 capable of meshing with the meshing head 32 of the rearmost element 31a of one fastener element row 30A that is closest to the box pin 61 is formed in front of the lateral protrusion 72. Furthermore, an accommodating portion 75 that accommodates the rear half of the meshing head 32 of the rearmost element 31a of one fastener element row 30A is provided between the meshing portion 74 and the forward protrusion 73. Furthermore, a fitting recess 76 with a cutout on the upper surface side is formed behind the lateral protrusion 72. Furthermore, a stepped surface 77 may be formed along the front-to-rear direction in the middle portion in the width direction of the lateral protrusion 72 and the meshing portion 74. When the insert pin 70 is pulled out from the slider 40, if the lock pin of the slider 40 falls between the meshing portion 74 and the meshing head 32 of the rearmost element 31a, it becomes difficult to pull out the insert pin 70. The step surface 77 makes it difficult for the lock pin to fall between the interlocking portion 74 and the interlocking head portion 32, and the insert pin 70 can be easily pulled out from the slider 40.
[0023] The forward protrusion 73 has a bulging portion 73a that bulges out toward the opposite side of the box pin 61 from the side surface 71b on the anti-box pin side of the insert pin main body portion 71, and is connected to the anti-box pin side side 71b from the bulging portion 73a via a concave curved surface 73b. This bulging portion 73a can come into contact with the flange 46b when the slider 40, which will be described later, is pulled up (see FIG. 7B), and acts to prevent the insert pin 70 from moving in a direction away from the box pin 61 and to properly engage the engaging head 32 of the rearmost element 31a of one fastener element row 30A with the meshing portion 74.
[0024] In this embodiment, the box pin 61 and the box body 62 are integrally formed by injection molding and attached to the rear end of the tape side edge 21 of the fastener tape 20A. However, the box pin 61 and the box body 62 may be molded separately, and the box pin 61 may be attached to the box body 62.
[0025] 4 to 6, the side surface of the box pin 61 on the insert pin side has an engagement portion 63 that protrudes upward and is inserted into the fitting recess 76 of the insert pin 70, and a step 64 into which the lateral protrusion 72 fits is formed in front of the engagement portion 63. Furthermore, the side surface of the box pin 61 on the side opposite the insert pin has an upright surface 61a that is aligned along the front-to-rear direction of the slide fastener 10 and can face the inner surfaces of the flanges 46a, 46b of the slider 40. The upright surface 61a may be a flat surface that extends substantially perpendicularly forward from the front surface 65a of the box body main body 65. A curved surface that curves and forms the tip of the box pin 61 is connected to the front side of the upright surface 61a.
[0026] The box 62 is formed in a substantially rectangular parallelepiped shape and has a box body main body 65 having parallel sides on both sides in the width direction and along the front-to-rear direction of the slide fastener 10, and an extension part 66 provided in front of the box body main body 65 and extending forward from inside the outer side surface of the box body main body 65. Therefore, as shown in Figure 5, the width W1 of the extension part 66 is smaller than the width of the box body main body 65.
[0027] A box pin 61 is integrally formed on one widthwise side of the box body 62, while an insert pin insertion hole 67 that penetrates the box body 62 in the front-to-rear direction and also opens to the side is formed on the other widthwise side of the box body 62. This allows an insert pin 70 to be inserted into the insert pin insertion hole 67 on the other widthwise side of the box body 62.
[0028] An inclined surface 68 is formed in front of the extension portion 66, i.e., on the front surface of the box body 62, inclining rearward from the box pin 61 side toward the insert pin insertion hole 67 side. The inclination angle θ of the inclined surface 68 is inclined in the range of 5 to 12 degrees with respect to the width direction in which the left and right fastener element rows 30A, 30B are aligned. In this embodiment, the position where the inclined surface 68 is at the same height as the front surface 65a of the box body main body 65 is referred to as the insert pin insertion hole side end 68a. The insert pin insertion hole side end 68a is connected to the front surface 65a of the box body main body 65. As a result, the box pin 61 is provided on one width direction side of the box body 62, protruding forward from the inclined surface 68 of the extension portion 66.
[0029] As shown in Figure 6, the length L1 of the portion of the box pin 61 protruding from the box body 62 is set to 35 to 45% of the length L from the bottom surface 67a of the insert pin insertion hole 67 of the box body 62 to the tip of the box pin 61 in the longitudinal direction of the box pin 61.
[0030] In the slide fastener 10 configured in this manner, when the pair of fastener element rows 30A, 30B are interlocked to close the slide fastener 10, the slider 40 is first pulled down until it contacts the inclined surface 68, which is the front surface of the box body 62.
[0031] 7A, the rearmost element 31a of one fastener element row 30A is inserted deeper into the rear opening side of the slider 40, so the interlocking head 32 of the rearmost element 31a of one fastener element row 30A approaches the element guide path 48 on the insert pin 70 side. That is, in top view, the interlocking head 32 of the rearmost element 31a of one fastener element row 30A moves beyond the extension line X of the side surface of the engaging portion 63 of the box pin 62 in the left-right direction and approaches the element guide path 48 on the insert pin 70 side.
[0032] However, the flanges 46a, 46b on the box pin side of the slider 40 are farther from the box body main body 65 than the flanges 46a, 46b on the insert pin side, and the slider 40 is inclined with respect to the front surface of the box body main body 65, i.e., the width direction in which the left and right fastener element rows 30A, 30B are aligned. Therefore, the element guide path 48 on the insert pin 70 side is inclined in a direction away from the interlocking head 32 of the rearmost element 31a of one fastener element row 30A, so that the element guide path 48 on the insert pin 70 side can be secured wide. This minimizes collision between the interlocking portion 74 of the insert pin 70 and the interlocking head 32 of the rearmost element 31b, and the insert pin 70 is smoothly inserted into the insert pin insertion hole 67 of the box body 62 via the element guide path 48 of the slider 40.
[0033] Note that by setting the inclination angle θ of the inclined surface 68 to 5 degrees or more with respect to the width direction in which the left and right fastener element rows 30A, 30B are aligned, it is possible to ensure a wide element guide path 48 on the insert pin 70 side when inserting the insert pin 70. Furthermore, by setting the inclination angle θ to 12 degrees or less, it is possible to prevent the element guide path 48 on the insert pin 70 side and the insert pin insertion hole 67 of the box body 62 from bending significantly, making it difficult to insert the insert pin 70.
[0034] Then, as shown in FIG. 7A, when the insert pin 70 is inserted into the insert pin insertion hole 67 of the box body 62 and the slider 40 comes into contact with the inclined surface 68 of the box body 62, the slider 40 is raised to the starting position.
[0035] At this lifting start position, the interlocking head 32 of the rearmost element 31 a of one fastener element row 30A is in contact with the interlocking portion 74 provided on the insert pin 70 .
[0036] In this embodiment, at the start position of lifting up the slider 40, the interlocking head 32 of the rearmost element 31a of one fastener element row 30A is in contact with the interlocking portion 74 provided on the insert pin 70, but it is sufficient if they are close to each other even if they are not in contact. Here, the interlocking head 32 of the rearmost element 31a being close to the interlocking portion 74 provided on the insert pin 70 refers to the case where, in a top view as shown in Fig. 8, the distance D1 between the interlocking head 32 of the rearmost element 31a and the interlocking portion 74 of the insert pin 70 is shorter than the distance D2 between the interlocking head 32 of the rearmost element 31a and the guide pillar 45.
[0037] As described above, at the start position of lifting up the slider 40, the rearmost elements 31a, 31b of the pair of fastener element rows 30A, 30B are in a state where they are further inserted into the rear opening side of the slider. In this state, the entire upright surface 61a of the box pin 61 formed on the side opposite to the side facing the insert pin 70 faces the parallel portions 46b1 of the flange portions 46a, 46b. Furthermore, the inverted portion 33 of the rearmost element 31a of one fastener element row 30A is guided by the curved portions 46b2 of the flange portions 46a, 46b.
[0038] Here, in the slide fastener 10 of this embodiment, a waterproof film is attached to the fastener tapes 20A, 20B, so at the start position of pulling up the slider 40, force is required to pull up the slider 40, and when an attempt is made to pull up the slider 40, the slider 40 is twisted toward the box pin in the order of Figures 7B and 7C, starting from the connection point 69 between the inclined surface 68 and the upright surface 61a of the box pin 61.
[0039] At this time, at the start position of the slider lifting, the rearmost element 31a of one fastener element row 30A comes into contact with the flange portions 46a, 46b, and the interlocking head 32 of the rearmost element 31a comes close to or into contact with the interlocking portion 74 provided on the insert pin 70. Furthermore, the interlocking head 32 of the rearmost element 31a of one fastener element row 30A does not come into contact with the interlocking head 32 of the rearmost element 31b of the other fastener element row 30B, but they are closer to each other than in the case of the conventional slide fastener shown in FIG.
[0040] Therefore, when the slider 40 is twisted, the interlocking head 32 of the rearmost element 31a of one fastener element row 30A, while remaining in contact with the interlocking portion 74 provided on the insert pin 70, also comes into contact with the interlocking head 32 of the rearmost element 31b of the other fastener element row 30B pressed by the flange portions 46a, 46b, as shown in Fig. 7B. Then, when the slider 40 is further twisted, the interlocking head 32 of the rearmost element 31a of one fastener element row 30A passes between the interlocking portion 74 and the interlocking head 32 of the rearmost element 31b of the other fastener element row 30B and becomes interlocked. Therefore, the interlocking heads 32 of the rearmost elements 31a, 31b are prevented from colliding with each other and not engaging properly, and then the slider 40 is smoothly pulled up.
[0041] As described above, according to the slide fastener 10 of this embodiment, when the slider 40 starts to be pulled up, the interlocking head 32 of the rearmost element 31a of one fastener element row 30A is in proximity to or in contact with the interlocking portion 74 provided on the insert pin 70. This prevents the rearmost elements 31a, 31b of the pair of fastener element rows 30A, 30B from colliding with each other and not engaging properly, even when the slider 40 is twisted, thereby improving operability when pulling up the slider 40.
[0042] Furthermore, according to the slide fastener opening device 60 of this embodiment, the length L1 of the portion of the box pin 61 protruding from the box body 62 is set to 35 to 45% of the length L from the bottom surface 67a of the insert pin insertion hole 67 of the box body 62 to the tip of the box pin 61 in the longitudinal direction of the box pin 61. In other words, by shortening the length of the box pin 61 so that the length L1 of the box pin 61 is 45% or less of the length L, the rearmost element 31a of one fastener element row 30A is inserted deeper into the rear opening side of the slider 40 at the start position of pulling up the slider 40. As a result, even if the slider 40 is twisted when pulling up the slider 40, the rearmost elements 31a, 31b of the pair of fastener element rows 30A, 30B are prevented from colliding with each other and not engaging properly, and operability when pulling up the slider 40 can be improved. On the other hand, by setting the length L1 of the box pin 61 to 35% or more of the length L, it is possible to maintain the ease of insertion of the insert pin 70 and the appearance of the box body 62.
[0043] 9A , the extension portion 66 of the box body 62 has side surfaces along the front-to-rear direction of the slide fastener 10 on both the box pin 61 side and the insert pin insertion hole 67 side. In this case, the length L1 of the portion of the box pin 61 protruding from the box body 62 is shorter than in the above embodiment, and the ratio of the length L1 of the box pin 61 to the length L from the bottom surface 67a of the insert pin insertion hole 67 of the box body 62 to the tip of the box pin 61 in the longitudinal direction of the box pin 61 is smaller. As a result, at the start position of lifting the slider 40, the rearmost element 31a of one fastener element row 30A is inserted deeper into the rear opening side of the slider 40, and the interlocking head 32 of the rearmost element 31a of one fastener element row 30A is more likely to approach or come into contact with the interlocking portion 74 provided on the insert pin 70.
[0044] 9B , the box 62 may be configured without the extension 66, but with the box body main body 65 being longer in the longitudinal direction of the box pin 61, so that an inclined surface 68 is formed on the front surface of the box body main body 65. In this case, as in the first modification, the length L1 of the portion of the box pin 61 that protrudes from the box 62 is shortened, and the ratio of the length L1 of the box pin 61 to the length L from the bottom surface 67 a of the insert pin insertion hole 67 of the box 62 to the tip of the box pin 61 in the longitudinal direction of the box pin 61 is reduced.
[0045] Furthermore, in the third modified example shown in Figure 10, the box body 62 does not have an extension portion 66, and the box body main body portion 65 is elongated in the longitudinal direction of the insert pin 61, and the front surface of the box body main body portion 65 is formed along the width direction of the box body 62 without having an inclined surface 68.
[0046] In this case, as in the above embodiment, the ratio of the length L1 of the box pin 61 to the length L from the bottom surface 67a of the insert pin insertion hole 67 of the box body 62 to the tip of the box pin 61 in the longitudinal direction of the box pin 61 is set to 35 to 45%. As a result, as shown in Figure 11A, at the start position of lifting up the slider 40, the rearmost element 31a of one fastener element row 30A is in a state where it is inserted deeper into the rear opening side of the slider 40, and the interlocking head 32 of the rearmost element 31a of one fastener element row 30A is in proximity to or in contact with the interlocking portion 74 provided on the insert pin 70.
[0047] 11B, even if the slider 40 is twisted, the meshing head 32 of the rearmost element 31a of one fastener element row 30A remains in contact with the meshing portion 74 provided on the insert pin 70, passes between the meshing portion 74 and the meshing head 32 of the rearmost element 31b of the other fastener element row 30B, and meshes with it. Therefore, the meshing heads 32 of the rearmost elements 31a and 31b are prevented from colliding with each other and not engaging properly, and then the slider 40 is smoothly pulled up.
[0048] In addition, when the box body 62 does not have an inclined surface, as in the third modified example, in order to ensure that the insert pin 70 can be inserted into the box body 62, the insert pin 70 may be made thinner by making the concave curved surface 73b more concave while maintaining the width of the bulging portion 73a of the forward protrusion 73.
[0049] 12 , like the third modified example, the box 62 does not have an inclined surface, but like the above embodiment, the box 62 has a box body main body 65 and an extension portion 66. Therefore, the front surface of the extension portion 66 is parallel to the front surface of the box body main body 65 and is formed along the width direction of the box 62.
[0050] In addition, in the above embodiment, an example was given of the case where the present invention is applied to a reverse-type slide fastener in which the fastener element row is arranged on the underside of the fastener tape, but this is not limited to this, and the present invention may also be applied to a front-type slide fastener in which the fastener element row is arranged on the upper side of the fastener tape.
[0051] Furthermore, in the above embodiment, the opening device of the present invention is applied to a waterproof slide fastener in which a waterproof film is attached to a woven fastener, but the present invention is not limited to this and can be suitably applied to slide fasteners in which the slider tends to twist when pulled up.
