Abstract

The subject of the application is a measuring cell for testing liquids using positron lifetime spectroscopy, characterized in that it consists of two modules: a mounting module and a measuring cell body module. The mounting module for a radioactive source (18) — preferably in the shape of a cuboid with a through hole or a ring, most preferably in the shape of a toroid with a rectangular cross-section — consists of: a mounting base (2) with a keyway and socket, and a (thinner) mounting cover (9) with a tongue and flange. The mounting base (2) has at least one filling opening in the outer surface of the base, which communicates with at least one through filling channel, which has an outlet in the inner surface of the base or in the inner surface of the cover (9).The inner surface of the fixture module—that is, the fixture base and the fixture cover—constitutes the boundary of the through-hole, with the base filling channel or the cover filling channel forming an extension of the filling hole. Furthermore, the base (2) and the cover (9) form a detachable keyway connection, while the keyway is a recess, preferably annular, that fits the projection of the cover (9), forming a socket for the projection. The fixture cover (9) consists of the projection and the flange. The projection has an outer diameter smaller than the outer diameter of the flange, preferably forming a collar sleeve shape, which fits the projection socket and covers the fixture base (2). The measuring cell body module, preferably has a cuboid shape—it consists of a measuring cell body base (20) with a keyway and a socket for the fixture module, and a body cover (30) with a projection and a socket for the fixture module, forming a keyway connection.The base of the body (20) of the measuring cell preferably has the shape of a cuboid, with a rectangular cross-section, and a recess in the center, shaped to fit the housing module, preferably in a cuboid or cylindrical shape, which forms a socket for the housing module. Additionally, the base of the body (20) in the socket recess also has a key, preferably in the shape of a ring, which surrounds the housing module socket, creating an annular recess that fits the projection of the cover (30).The body base (20) has at least three through holes for the pressure screw, located in at least three vertices of the body base (20). Furthermore, a threaded through hole for the sealing screw is located in the outer surface of the base. Preferably, the axis of the sealing screw hole is perpendicular to the design axis (X) of the measuring cell and passes through a point defining half the height and width of the outer surface of the body module, wherein the axis of the sealing screw hole is extended in a U-shaped threaded recess for the sealing screw located across the groove. The design axis (X) is identical to the axis of symmetry of the socket for the housing module. The (thinner) cover of the body (30) preferably has the shape of a cuboid, with a rectangular cross-section, and has a projection that matches the shape of both the groove in the body base (20) and is adapted to accommodate the housing module inside, creating a centering socket.Furthermore, a U-shaped recess for a sealing screw is located across the projection, preferably with the axis of the recess perpendicular to the design axis (X) of the measuring cell. The housing cover (30) has at least three through holes for the pressure screw, located in at least three vertices of the cover (30). The pressure screw holes in the cover (30) are matched in location and diameter to the location of the pressure screw holes in the housing base (20).
