Cu-Mg mortar and method of producing Cu-Mg mortar

Abstract

The subject of the application is a Cu-Mg mortar in the form of a briquette containing compressed copper and magnesium with a structure consisting of a magnesium core (1) in solid, lumpy, or chip form with a purity exceeding 90% surrounded by a copper jacket (2) in the form of scrap granules or copper chips with a purity exceeding 90%, wherein the magnesium content is from 1% to 20% of the briquette weight. The application also discloses a method for producing the Cu-Mg mortar.
