Claims
1. A method for determining the salinity of the ocean surface layer using remote sensing data from space based on statistical data processing methods, which consists of applying statistical data processing methods to spatially and temporally combined measurement data from several sources.
2. The method according to paragraph 1, characterized by measurements from several sources consisting of the brightness temperature of a satellite-based radiometer, salinity assessment using standard satellite algorithms, as well as additional meteorological variables characterizing the surface layer of the ocean and the near-surface layer of the atmosphere, including, but not limited to, the ocean surface temperature, the temperature and humidity of the near-surface air layer, the speed and direction of the near-surface wind.
3. The method according to paragraph 1, characterized in that the statistical model of the machine learning class is intended for solving the general problem of regression restoration and is adapted for processing data in the composition according to paragraph 2.
4. The method according to paragraph 1, characterized in that the statistical model of the machine learning class according to paragraph 3 is configured on the basis of a pre-collected data set in the composition according to paragraph 2 with reference values of the salinity of the surface layer of the ocean corresponding in time and space, measured in a contact manner using an independent high-precision salinometer.
5. The method according to paragraph 1, characterized in that the determination of the salinity of the surface layer of the ocean is carried out by applying a configured statistical model of the machine learning class according to paragraph 3, configured according to paragraph 4, to the data of new measurements in the composition according to paragraph 2, the result of which is a statistical assessment of the salinity of the surface layer of the ocean.
