Description

[0001] The utility model relates to portable devices for non-destructive testing of pipelines using radiation methods using X-rays.

[0002] A carriage is known for an ultrasonic flaw detector for testing longitudinally welded pipes (author's certificate SU 198777, published 04 / 28 / 1967), containing a carriage base, a frame with emitting and receiving probes located on it, pressed by a pneumatic cylinder to the surface being tested, while the base of the carriage is made in the form of two flaps connected by a hinge that allows changing the angle between the flaps, to which two pairs of links are attached, mounted on an axis and fixing the angle between the flaps.

[0003] Portable system for digital radiography of circumferential welds on main pipelines (patent RU 142341, published 06.27.2014), comprising a positioning and movement system installed coaxially with a pipeline and encompassing the pipeline, an X-ray radiation source and a radiation detector installed on diametrically opposite sides of the positioning and movement system, wherein the positioning and movement system includes a guide belt made from a metal strip and resting on the surface of the pipe through supports, a leading carriage with at least one radiation detector installed on it, secured to the guide belt using rollers, an intermediate carriage transmitting force from the leading carriage to a slave carriage on which at least one X-ray radiation source is installed, a rigid coupling consisting of two or more parts and sequentially connecting the leading, intermediate and slave carriages.

[0004] The base of the leading carriage is divided into two halves connected by a hinge, each of which has one pair of converging rollers installed, the slave carriage is divided into two halves, which are connected by a hinge.

[0005] The technical problem is that in the process of non-destructive testing of pipeline welds, it is necessary to reinstall the carriage of the radiographic testing device for welded joints from one weld to the next, and the hinged connection of the two parts of the carriage base reduces the rigidity of the carriage structure.

[0006] The technical result consists in increasing the rigidity of the carriage structure while maintaining the possibility of quick installation / dismantling and reliable fixation of the control unit, detector unit and battery module on the carriage when it moves along the guide belt on the pipeline.

[0007] The technical result is provided by a carriage for a device for radiographic testing of welded joints, containing two plates connected by a hinge, on one of which a movement drive is installed, consisting of an electric motor with a gearbox, on which a support plate with mounting holes is fixed, and on the second plate a cantilever beam is rigidly fixed, on which guides with a self-locking mechanism are fixed, wherein the free end of the cantilever beam and the support plate are connected by a handle with a rigid base.

[0008] The cantilever beam can be made as a single piece or consisting of two planks fixed together.

[0009] In addition, on the reverse side of the two plates, connected by a hinge, there are moving rollers and pressure levers connected by union springs.

[0010] The proposed carriage is explained by the drawings:

[0011] Fig. 1 - detector carriage (general view);

[0012] Fig. 2 - detector carriage (top view and side view);

[0013] Fig. 3 - example of carriage implementation.

[0014] The carriage for the device for radiographic testing of welded joints (Fig. 1-3) contains two plates 1a and 1b connected by a hinge 2. The connection of plates 1a and 1b by a hinge 2 allows the angle between them to be adjusted in the range from 0° to 90°, which leads to a change in the distance between the pairs of moving rollers 9, and this in turn allows the carriage to be installed on different diameters of the guide belt (not shown in Fig. 1-3) depending on the diameter of the pipeline (not shown in Fig. 1-3).

[0015] A movement drive 3 is mounted on the outer side of the plate 1a via a threaded connection, consisting of an electric motor with a gearbox, on which a support plate 4 is fixed, which forms different levels (tiers) and provides additional space for fastening, for example, the control unit 13 of the radiographic inspection device on the carriage (Fig. 3), the possibility of its quick installation / dismantling and reliable fixation on the carriage when it moves along the guide belt on the pipeline. The support plate 4 has a figured X-shape and mounting holes 5, which provide at least four support points for fastening the control unit via a threaded connection and lower material consumption compared to traditional rectangular supports. The support plate 4 can have any geometric shape.

[0016] A cantilever beam 6 is mounted on the outer side of the plate 1b, wherein one end of the cantilever beam 6 is rigidly fixed, and the other end is made free and is intended for fastening the detector unit 14 (Fig. 3). Guides 7 with self-locking mechanisms 8 are fixed to the cantilever beam 6 by a threaded connection for accommodating, for example, the battery module 15 (Fig. 3). The cantilever beam 6 can be made as a single piece or consisting of two strips connected to each other at a right angle and fixed by a threaded connection on the plate 1b. The use of guides 7 with self-locking mechanisms 8 ensures the possibility of quick installation / dismantling and reliable fixation of the battery module 15 on the carriage when it moves along the guide belt on the pipeline (not shown in Figs. 1-3).

[0017] The free end of the cantilever beam 6 and the support plate 4 are connected by a handle 12 to a rigid base (Fig. 2, 3), which ensures the structural rigidity of the carriage for the device for radiographic testing of welded joints when removed from the guide belt (not shown in Fig. 1-3) and moved to the next weld on the same pipeline or to another pipeline (not shown in Fig. 1-3).

[0018] On the inner side of the plates 1a and 1b facing the guide belt on the pipeline (not shown in Fig. 1-3), the movement rollers 9 are installed, which are secured by the pressure levers 10. In addition, the pressure levers 10 and the movement rollers 9 are connected by the union springs 11 to prevent the accidental opening of the pressure levers 10 and the movement rollers 9 from coming off the guide belt 5 during the movement of the carriage along the guide belt on the pipeline.

[0019] The proposed carriage is used as follows.

[0020] At the site of radiographic testing of welded joints, before installation on the guide belt on the pipeline (not shown in Fig. 1-3), a drive 3, a control unit 13, a detector unit 14 and a battery module 15 are installed on the carriage for the device for radiographic testing of welded joints (Fig. 3).

[0021] To achieve this, first, drive 3, consisting of an electric motor with a gearbox, is secured to plate 1a using mounting screws. Then, support plate 4, which has an X-shaped form, is secured to the gearbox of drive 3 using mounting screws. Control unit 13 is secured to mounting holes 5 of support plate 4 using mounting screws.

[0022] A cantilever beam 6 is secured to plate 1b using fastening screws. The cantilever beam 6 can be solid or consists of two strips connected to each other at a right angle by fastening screws. Guides 7 with self-locking mechanisms 8 are fastened to the cantilever beam 6 using fastening screws. Battery module 15 is installed on guides 7. Under the action of gravity of battery module 15, self-locking mechanisms 8 are pressed, forming a straight line with guides 7, and battery module 15 moves evenly forward to the mounting seat. As soon as battery module 15 is in the mounting seat, self-locking mechanism 8 deflects upward and stops the reverse movement of battery module 15. To remove (dismantle) battery module 15, it is necessary to press on self-locking mechanisms 8 so that they are on the same straight line with guides 7, push battery module in the opposite direction and remove it from cantilever beam 6.

[0023] Then, the detector unit 14 is secured under the cantilever beam 6 with fastening screws, which ensures the possibility of quick installation / dismantling and reliable fixation of the detector unit 14 on the carriage when it moves along the guide belt on the pipeline (not shown in Figs. 1-3).

[0024] The installed movement drive 3, detector unit 14 and battery module 15 on the carriage for the radiographic testing device for welds are connected to the control unit 13 by electrical wire connections (not shown in Figs. 1-3).

[0025] The carriage for the device for radiographic testing of welded joints is taken by the handle 12 and installed on the guide belt on the pipeline so that the grooves of the moving rollers 9 are on the guide belt, after which the clamping levers 10 are snapped into place. Additionally, the clamping levers 10 are connected by union springs 11 to the moving rollers 9 to prevent accidental opening of the clamping levers 10 and the moving rollers 9 from coming off the guide belt. The presence of a rigid base of the handle 12 ensures the structural rigidity of the carriage for the device for radiographic testing of welded joints when removing it from the guide belt (not shown in Figs. 1-3) and moving it to the next weld on the same pipeline or to another pipeline (not shown in Figs. 1-3).

[0026] Implementation example.

[0027] At the site of radiographic testing of welded joints, before installation on the guide belt on a pipeline with a diameter of 1020 mm (not shown in Figs. 1-3), a travel drive 3, a control unit 13, a detector unit 14 and a battery module 15 (not shown in Figs. 1, 2) are installed on the carriage for the device for radiographic testing of welded joints.

[0028] A drive 3 (480 W, 24 V supply voltage) consisting of an electric motor and gearbox is secured to plate 1a using fastening screws. A support plate 4, which has an X-shaped shape, is then secured to the gearbox of drive 3 using fastening screws. Control unit 13 (12 V supply voltage) is secured to mounting holes 5 of support plate 4 using fastening screws.

[0029] A cantilever beam 6 consisting of two strips connected to each other at a right angle by means of fastening screws was fixed to the plate 1b by means of fastening screws, on which guides 7 with self-locking mechanisms 8 were fixed by means of fastening screws. The battery module 15 (battery type Li-FePO4, rated voltage 16 V, rated capacity of battery 18 Ah) was installed on the guides 7, the self-locking mechanisms 8 were pressed, and the battery module 15 moved forward to the seat, after which the self-locking mechanism 8 deflected upward and stopped the reverse movement.

[0030] Then, the detector unit 14 (size 245×245×60 mm) was fixed under the cantilever beam with 6 mounting screws.

[0031] The installed travel drive 3, detector unit 14 and battery module 15 on the carriage for the device for radiographic testing of welded joints were connected to the control unit 13 by electrical wire connections (not shown in Figs. 1-3).

[0032] The carriage for the device for radiographic testing of welded joints, taking the handle 12, was installed on the guide belt on the pipeline (with a diameter of 1020 mm) so that the grooves of the moving rollers 9 were on the guide belt, after which the clamping levers 10 were snapped into place, which were connected by the union springs 11 to the moving rollers 9 to prevent the accidental opening of the clamping levers 10 and the sliding of the moving rollers 9 from the guide belt.
