[0135] Figure 9 is a diagram illustrating an example of an operating method in an electronic device according to one embodiment. In the following embodiments, the operations may be performed sequentially, but are not necessarily performed sequentially. For example, the order of the operations may be changed, and at least two operations may be performed in parallel.

[0136] Referring to FIG. 9, an electronic device according to an embodiment (e.g., the electronic device (101) of FIG. 1 and the electronic device (200) of FIGS. 2A, 2B, 2C, and 2D) may, in operation 901, determine whether a first user input is received when at least one housing (the second housing and / or the third housing) configured on both sides of a first housing (e.g., the first housing (210) of FIGS. 2A, 2B, 2C, and 2D) is in a folded state. The electronic device according to an embodiment may detect an angular change between the first housing and the second housing when a first application execution screen is displayed on a second display so that the state of the electronic device changes from a folded state to an unfolded state, and, when a change is detected, determine whether a first user input is received. If the first user input is received as a result of the determination in operation 901, the electronic device may perform operation 903, and if no user input is received, the electronic device may perform operation 905. Here, the first user input may be a first type of first user input, which may be named as a 1-1 user input, and may be, for example, a power button disposed on the side of the second housing (e.g., the second housing (220) of FIGS. 2A, 2B, 2C, and 2D).

[0137] In operation 903, the electronic device identifies that at least one housing (the second housing and / or the third housing) is changed to an unfolded state based on identifying that the first user input has been received, and can display the screen displayed on the second display or in the unfolded area (e.g., the second display area) of the first display while maintaining the screen as it is on the second display. Thereafter, the electronic device can perform operation 907. In operation 903, according to one embodiment, if both the second housing and the third housing (e.g., the third housing (230) of FIGS. 2A, 2B, and 2C) are in an unfolded state, the electronic device can display the screen displayed on the second display or in the unfolded area (e.g., the second display area) of the first display while maintaining the screen as it is on the second display area of the first display, and can display at least one other screen on the remaining unfolded areas (e.g., the first display area and the third display area) of the first display.

[0138] In operation 905, the electronic device may turn off the expanded area of the first display (e.g., the second display area or the first to third display areas) based on whether the first user input has been received, or display the screen displayed on the second display by resizing it to fit the expanded area of the first display. Thereafter, the electronic device may perform operation 907.

[0139] In operation 907, the electronic device can determine whether a second user input is received while at least one housing (the second housing and / or the third housing) configured on both sides with respect to the first housing is in an unfolded state. If the second user input is received, the electronic device can perform operation 909, and if the second user input is not received, the electronic device can perform operation 911. Here, the second user input is a first type of second user input, which can be named a second-1 user input, and can be, for example, a single-touch input.

[0140] In operation 909, the electronic device may display the screen displayed in an area of the first display corresponding to the location where the second user input was received, based on the second user input being received, in an expanded area of the first display (e.g., the second display area) or in the second display.

[0141] In a 911 operation, the electronic device may turn off the unfolded area of the first display (e.g., the second display area) and / or the second display based on the second user input not being received.

[0142] According to one embodiment, when the electronic device receives a first user input (e.g., a volume button input) different from the first user input (e.g., a power button input) received in the above-described operation 903, the electronic device may display a designated screen (e.g., a home screen) on an unfolded area (e.g., a second display area) of the first display. Here, the other first user input is a second type of first user input, which may be referred to as a first-second user input, and may be, for example, a volume button disposed on a side of the second housing. According to one embodiment, when the electronic device receives another first user input (e.g., a volume button input), the electronic device may display a designated screen instead of displaying a screen (e.g., an execution screen of a first application that is being executed) displayed on the second display on the unfolded area (e.g., a second display area) of the first display.

[0143] According to one embodiment, when the electronic device receives a third user input (e.g., simultaneous input of two or more buttons) in a folded state, the electronic device may determine that the electronic device is being folded and change to an unfolded state, turn off the first display, display a designated screen (e.g., a home screen) on the second display, or maintain the displayed screen (e.g., the first screen) as is.

[0144] According to one embodiment, when the electronic device receives a second user input (e.g., a double touch input) that is different from the second user input (e.g., a single touch input) received in the above-described operation 907 and identifies that the second housing is folded (e.g., a second folded state) when the third housing is in a folded state (e.g., a first folded state), the electronic device may display a designated screen on the second display. For example, in the first folded state, the electronic device may display a designated screen on the second display instead of displaying the first screen displayed on the unfolded area (e.g., a second display area) of the first display on the second display. For example, when the designated screen is displayed on the unfolded area (e.g., a second display area) of the first display in the first folded state, the designated screen may be maintained as is and displayed on the second display.

[0145] According to one embodiment, an operating method in an electronic device (e.g., the electronic device (101) of FIG. 1 and the electronic device (200) of FIGS. 2A, 2B, 2C, and 2D) including a first housing (e.g., the first housing (210) of FIGS. 2A, 2B, 2C, and 2D) having a first side and a second side and a second housing (e.g., the second housing (220) of FIGS. 2A, 2B, 2C, and 2D) rotatably connected to the first housing and having a third side and a fourth side) may include an operation of detecting an angular change between the first housing and the second housing when an execution screen of a first application is displayed on a second display of the electronic device (e.g., the display module (160) of FIG. 1 and the second display (203) of FIGS. 2A, 2B, 2C, and 2D).

[0146] According to one embodiment, the method may include an action of determining whether a first user input is received when the change is detected.

[0147] According to one embodiment, the method may include an operation of displaying a first screen on a first display of the electronic device, for example, the display module (160) of FIG. 1, the first display (202) of FIGS. 2A, 2B, 2C, and 2D, when the first user input is received.

[0148] According to one embodiment, the method may include an action of displaying a second screen on the first display when the first user input is not received.

[0149] According to one embodiment, the first display may be disposed on the first surface of the first housing and the third surface of the second housing, and the second display (203) may be disposed on the fourth surface of the second housing (220).

[0150] According to one embodiment, the first user input may be specified to determine a screen of the first display to be displayed when the state of the electronic device changes from a folded state to an unfolded state.

[0151] According to one embodiment, the first user input may include a touch input to the second display or an input to at least one button positioned on a side portion of the electronic device.
