Abstract
Description
MULTIPLE GLAZING OF OVEN DOOR WITH POINT LIGHT SOURCES, OVEN DOOR AND OVEN
[0001] The invention relates to a multiple oven glazing, said glazing comprising a first substrate, called "external substrate", and at least one second substrate, the external substrate and the second substrate being positioned opposite each other, with the external face of the second substrate being located opposite the internal face of the external substrate while being held together by a frame structure, with at least one intermediate space located between the two substrates, and said glazing providing a separation between an external space and an internal space.
[0002] Patent or utility model applications EP1995522, DE202015103887, DE102016108740, WO201612589 and EP2868980 describe ovens with lighting systems.
[0003] The invention is particularly concerned with means for illuminating the interior of the oven, this interior being observed from the outside.
[0004] It has long been known to provide lighting, such as a light bulb, that can be controlled from the outside and accessible from inside the oven so that it can be changed, while being protected from heat and possible cooking splashes behind a window. This configuration is very restrictive because it is then necessary to provide an area of the oven cavity (the area where the light bulb is located), which is less well insulated, thermally, than the rest of the cavity. Furthermore, localized lighting is not pleasant and is not very effective, for an observer outside. In addition, the lighting inside is not uniform.
[0005] For example, from French patent application No. FR 3073929, an oven door is known comprising a first sheet of glass and a second sheet of glass, connected at their edge by a frame delimiting an intermediate space between them, said door comprising an interactive light device further comprising at least one light-generating element arranged opposite an edge of the interactive light device to generate a light beam towards a marking and to diffuse information represented by said marking.
[0006] Providing a lighting system that illuminates the edge of a glass substrate in a furnace door is restrictive: the frame structure must hold both the lighting system and the substrate in the edge from which this system emits light.
[0007] One aim of the invention is thus to develop a new type of simple interior lighting, which is effective in the direction of the interior space, while providing a pleasant aesthetic appearance in the direction of the exterior.
[0008] The invention thus relates, in its broadest sense, to a multiple oven glazing according to claim 1. This glazing comprises:- a first substrate, called the "external substrate", a glass substrate, having an external face, an internal face and an edge, and- at least one second glass substrate having an external face, an internal face and an edge, said external substrate and said second substrate being positioned opposite each other, with the external face of said second substrate opposite the internal face of said external substrate, being held together by a frame structure, with at least one interposed space located between the two substrates, and said glazing providing a separation between an external space and an internal space,- the internal face of said external substrate comprises a lighting system comprising several point light sources of the LED type, said lighting system being located on the periphery of at least one edge of said outer substrate and preferably on the periphery of all the edges of said outer substrate, andsaid glazing being remarkable in that the outer face of said second substrate comprises a diffusion zone located opposite said lighting system, on the periphery of at least one edge of said second substrate and preferably on the periphery of all the edges of said second substrate.,
[0009] Said diffusion zone located opposite said lighting system is thus opposite said lighting system, a portion of said intermediate space being located between the diffusion zone and said lighting system.
[0010] Thus, the light emitted by said lighting system is diffused towards said interior space in order to illuminate this interior space and a small quantity of light is re-emitted towards said exterior space, providing a pleasant aesthetic effect.
[0011] Preferably, said diffusion zone is located directly opposite said lighting system: there is only said intermediate space between said diffusion zone and said lighting system. Thus, the majority (of the order of 80 to 95%) of the light emitted by said lighting system is well diffused towards said interior space and a single small quantity of light is re-emitted towards said exterior space.
[0012] By preferably arranging the lighting system on the periphery of all the edges of the inner face of said outer substrate and by arranging said diffusion zone on the periphery of all the edges of said second substrate, the lighting produced in the direction of the inner space is then homogeneous: the entire inner space is well lit.
[0013] Said multiple glazing may be a double glazing comprising only two substrates, the outer substrate and the second substrate; Said glazing is preferably a triple glazing comprising only three substrates, thus furthermore with a third substrate; Said glazing is still preferably a quadruple glazing, thus furthermore with a fourth substrate. In a multiple glazing, all the glass substrates are separated two by two by a single interlayer space.
[0014] In a particular variant, a third glass substrate having an outer face, an inner face and an edge is positioned more towards the interior space than said second substrate and the outer face of said third substrate comprises a diffusion zone. This diffusion zone prevents the reflection of the lighting on the outer face of said third substrate towards the exterior space.
[0015] Preferably, there is no diffusion zone on the inner face of said third substrate.
[0016] It is further possible for a fourth glass substrate having an outer face, an inner face and an edge to be positioned further towards the inner space than said third substrate and the outer face of said fourth substrate has a diffusion zone. This diffusion zone prevents the reflection of the lighting on the outer face of the fourth substrate towards the outer space.
[0017] Preferably, there is no diffusion zone on the inner face of said fourth substrate.
[0018] Preferably, said lighting system comprises point light sources of several colors.
[0019] The outer face of said first substrate may comprise a covering element located opposite said lighting system, i.e. on the other side of said first substrate, seen in cross-section of the substrate. This covering element may be peripheral. This covering element may be a layer of enamel, a trim, a seal or even an ornamental element attached or glued to the outer face of said first substrate.
[0020] Thus, the lighting system is not visible in the clear view of the first substrate, in the area more central than the covering element.
[0021] Preferably, the outer face of said first substrate comprises a covering element located opposite said lighting system and said lighting system is at a distance, considered by projection through said first substrate, from said covering element which is non-zero, preferably between 5 and 45 mm. Thus, said lighting system is correctly hidden behind said covering element, seen from the outside space.
[0022] The present invention further relates to a door comprising multiple glazing according to the invention.
[0023] The present invention further relates to an oven comprising multiple glazing according to the invention.
[0024] Preferably, in this oven, said lighting system comprises point light sources of several colors, each color being correlated with a temperature range in said interior space, with in addition, preferably at least one point light source of white color not correlated with a temperature range in said interior space.
[0025] Advantageously, the glazing and the door according to the invention make it possible to provide interior lighting, to illuminate the interior space of the oven, which is simple and inexpensive, while providing an original aesthetic appearance, because the diffusion of light by the diffusion zone(s) is visible (while being of low intensity) from the exterior space.
[0026] Furthermore, this diffusion can be used to correlate all or part of the color of the light emitted by the lighting system to a temperature range in the interior space: for example blue from room temperature to 100°C, violet from 100°C to 200°C and red for a temperature above 200°C, while also providing white light for all these ranges.
[0027] Advantageously, the lighting is reliable because LED point light sources are reliable. There is no need for any special method or means to easily change them.
[0028] The details and advantageous characteristics of the invention emerge from the following non-limiting examples, illustrated with the aid of the attached figures: - illustrates a schematic perspective view of an oven according to the invention comprising a door which is open; - illustrates a schematic horizontal sectional view of the glazing of the door from the middle of the height; - illustrates a schematic horizontal sectional view of the glazing from the top; - illustrates a schematic horizontal sectional view of the glazing of the door from the middle of the height according to a particular variant; and - illustrates a schematic horizontal sectional view of the glazing from the top.
[0029] In them, the proportions between the different elements are not respected in order to facilitate their reading.
[0030] The present invention is described by way of example in the context of an application as glazing 1, of a movable oven door. This glazing 1 closes a bay, of a door 110 of an oven enclosure 100, illustrated in. The door 110, and consequently the glazing 1, creates a separation between an exterior space E, which is outside the oven, and an interior space I, which is inside the oven (inside the oven enclosure). The notions of "exterior" and "interior" are therefore considered in the present document respectively in relation to this exterior space E (or oriented towards this exterior space) and this interior space I (or oriented towards this interior space).
[0031] Illustrates a door 110 which is normally vertical when it closes the enclosure and which is here half-opened by rotation around a low horizontal axis.
[0032] In the closed state, the glazing 1 extends vertically along the axis generally called the “Z axis” of the oven and longitudinally along the X axis. The glazing 1 further extends along the Y axis in depth. The glazing 1 has a first longitudinal edge 1s intended to be arranged in the upper part of the opening of the oven door, and a second longitudinal edge 1i intended to be arranged in the lower part of the opening of the oven door. The glazing 1 further has a first lateral edge 1a and a second lateral edge 1b located on either side of the first and second longitudinal edges 1s, 1i.
[0033] Glazing 1 is not monolithic glazing (comprising a single glass substrate) but is multiple glazing, comprising several glass substrates.
[0034] The figures illustrate a horizontal sectional view of the oven glazing 1, according to a first embodiment of the present invention.
[0035] Said glazing is here a quadruple glazing and comprises:- a first substrate 10, called “external substrate”, glass, having an external face 11, an internal face 12 and an edge 13,- a second glass substrate 20 having an external face 21, an internal face 22 and an edge 23,- a third glass substrate 30 having an external face 31, an internal face 2 and an edge 33,- a fourth glass substrate 40, or “internal substrate”, having an external face 41, an internal face 42 and an edge 43.
[0036] The four substrates are positioned parallel to each other and facing each other, being held together by a frame structure 90, and with:- the outer face 21 of the second substrate 20 facing the inner face 12 of the outer substrate 10,- the outer face 31 of the third substrate 30 facing the inner face 22 of the second substrate 20, and- the outer face 41 of the fourth substrate 40 facing the inner face 32 of the third substrate 30.
[0037] The frame structure 90 provides separation by providing three intermediate spaces 15, 16, 17, each located between two substrates: the intermediate space 17, closest to the inner space I, is located between the fourth substrate 40 and the third substrate 30 and can be referred to as the "hot intermediate space"; the intermediate space 16, between the third substrate 30 and the second substrate 20, can be referred to as the "warm intermediate space"; and the intermediate space 15, between the second substrate 20 and the outer substrate 10, can be referred to as the "cold intermediate space".
[0038] For an oven door, usually each gap is an open space allowing air circulation; it is not a hermetically sealed space.
[0039] To enable the interior space of the oven to be illuminated: - the inner face 12 of the outer substrate 10 comprises a lighting system 60 comprising several point light sources of the LED type, the lighting system 60 being located on the periphery of at least one edge of the outer substrate 10, and - the outer face 21 of the second substrate 20 comprises a diffusion zone 25 located opposite the lighting system 60, on the periphery of at least one edge of said second substrate 20.
[0040] For the diffusion zone 25 to be located opposite the lighting system 60, the edge at the periphery of which it is located is necessarily the same edge, in the orientation of the glazing, as the edge of the external substrate 10 at the periphery of which the lighting system 60 is located.
[0041] Thus, if the lighting system 60 is located along the first longitudinal edge 1s then the diffusion zone 25 is also located along the first longitudinal edge 1s; similarly, if the lighting system 60 is located along the second longitudinal edge 1i then the diffusion zone 25 is also located along the second longitudinal edge 1i.
[0042] Preferably, for this or these edges, the lighting system 60 is located all along the edge and the diffusion zone 25 opposite is also located all along the edge: the lighting system 60 is not punctual and the diffusion zone 25 opposite is also not punctual.
[0043] Preferably, the outer face 11 of the first substrate 10 comprises a covering element 14 located opposite said lighting system 60, further out than the lighting system 60.
[0044] The lighting system 60 may be located along the two longitudinal edges 1s, 1i and then the diffusion zone 25 is also located along the two longitudinal edges 1s, 1i. The lighting system 60 may be located along the two lateral edges 1a, 1b and then the diffusion zone 25 is also located along the two lateral edges 1a, 1b.
[0045] Preferably, the lighting system 60 is a peripheral lighting system and is then located along the two lateral edges 1a, 1b and along the two lateral edges 1a, 1b. In this case, the diffusion zone 25 is a peripheral diffusion zone and is then located along the two lateral edges 1a, 1b and along the two lateral edges 1a, 1b. In this case, the covering element 14 is peripheral. The area of the first substrate which is further to the center of the substrate than the covering element 14 constitutes the clear view of the substrate.
[0046] When viewed from the exterior space, each lighting system 60 is preferably hidden behind the covering element 14.
[0047] Preferably, the lighting system 60 is not in contact with the edge which is located between the edge 13 and the inner face 12; preferably, the lighting system 60 is at a non-zero distance d, preferably between 5 and 45 mm, from the covering element 14, the distance d being considered by projection through the thickness of the first substrate 10.
[0048] The intermediate spaces 15, 16, 17 may not have the same depth, along the Y axis. The intermediate space 15, between the second substrate 20 and the external substrate 10 may be deeper to allow the lighting system 60 to be housed and to better insulate it, thermally, from the second substrate.
[0049] The emission of light by the lighting system 60 is carried out in the direction of the interior space I; it is illustrated by the arrows oriented from right to left, in the intermediate space 15.
[0050] The diffusion of this light emitted by the diffusion zone 25, in the direction of the interior space I is illustrated by the chevron arrows oriented from right to left, in the intercalary space 16.
[0051] A backscattering of intensity lower than the diffusion occurs in the direction of the external space E. It is illustrated by the small chevron arrows oriented from left to right, in the intercalary space 15.
[0052] The final lighting, in interior space I, is more coherent when the lighting system 60 and the diffusion zone 25 are peripheral.
[0053] The diffusion zone can be:- a layer applied to a surface, such as for example the application of enamel, and in particular a white enamel, which diffuses well, and / or- a treatment of a portion of the surface of the substrate, such as for example a chemical (acid) or mechanical (sandblasting) attack, and / or- a differential texturing of a portion of the surface, such as for example laser engraving.
[0054] The diffusion zone is preferably in contact with the edge which is located between the edge 23 and the outer face 21: so that the light emitted by the lighting system 60 is well diffused at this location, in the direction of the interior space I.
[0055] The diffusion zone has a width l, considered along the X axis for the lateral uprights (first lateral edge 1a and / or second lateral edge 1b) or along the Z axis for the longitudinal edges (first longitudinal edge 1s and a second longitudinal edge 1i) which is greater than the width (considered along the same axis) of the lighting system 60 which is exactly opposite so that a maximum of light emitted by the lighting system 60 is diffused in the direction of the interior space I.
[0056] However, this width should not be too large, so as not to influence the clear view towards the interior space I. The suitable width l is preferably between 5 and 100 mm. The width l can be between 1.2 and 10 times the width of the lighting system 60. A value of 3 is suitable, for example. The width l can be, for example, 45 mm for a lighting system 60 width of 15 mm.
[0057] A lighting system 60 is for example in the form of an opaque strip comprising several point light sources of Light-Emitting Diodes, LEDs (or "LEDs" in English). The strip can be provided on one side with an adhesive material in order to adhere to the inner face 12 and on the other side of the point light sources, connected in parallel, so that they emit light towards the inner space I.
[0058] The point light sources may be monochrome or multi-chrome sources. It may be particularly convenient for users to provide that the lighting system 60 produces light whose color is correlated with the temperature in the interior space I.
[0059] The electrical power supply of the lighting system 60 is operated by passing cables or conductive braids through the chassis structure 90; it is not detailed here.
[0060] Preferably, the lighting system 60 does not include thermal insulation means: these means are not necessary because the lighting system 60 is positioned sufficiently far from the interior space I, while being protected from the exterior; this contributes to the low cost.
[0061] The glazing 1 is intended to be installed in a bay (not shown in this set) of the door 110. It is possible that the glazing 1 constitutes the main part of the oven door and that the frame structure 90 constitutes the main part of the bay, by integrating means necessary for the movement (here rotation along a horizontal axis) of the door.
[0062] The set illustrates a horizontal sectional view of the oven glazing 1, according to a particular variant embodiment of the present invention, similar to that of set, except in that the outer face 31 of the third substrate 30 also comprises a diffusion zone 35. This diffusion zone 35 is here peripheral, like the diffusion zone 25 and has substantially the same dimensions and the same positioning relative to the edge; it is also peripheral.
[0063] When glazing 1 is triple glazing, there are two interspaces, one closer to the interior space I and the other closer to the exterior space E. The lighting system is then in the interspace closest to the exterior space E.
[0064] When glazing 1 is double glazing, there is only one interlayer space and it is necessary to ensure that the lighting system is compatible with the heat which can prevail there.
[0065] The present invention is described in the foregoing by way of example. It is understood that a person skilled in the art is able to carry out different variants of the invention without departing from the scope of the patent as defined by the claims.
