Abstract
Description
OUTDOOR WALL LIGHT WITH INTEGRATED DRIVER FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The present invention relates to an outdoor wall luminaire with an integrated driver. More specifically, it comprises a surface-mounted LED bollard, applicable for outdoor or indoor areas, which provides a well-defined light effect through a compact design that allows the driver to be incorporated, so that the bollard has a super-thin structure with a unique design that enhances the consumer's visual perception.
[0002] This new design allows for greater practicality and ease of installation due to its compact format with integrated driver, in addition to offering a high level of protection against dust and water penetration, increasing the product's lifespan and ensuring greater versatility in its outdoor application.
[0003] The LED bollard light is developed in three models: LED bollard light with fluxes of 50lm and 80lm, LED bollard light with fluxes of 40lm, and LED bollard light with fluxes of 75lm and 120lm. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0004] An LED bollard light for outdoor areas is a lighting device specifically designed for installation in outdoor areas such as gardens, backyards, sidewalks, and patios. Its function is to provide soft, directional lighting, typically along paths, steps, or highlighted areas.
[0005] The concept behind LED bollard lights is to provide decorative, functional, and low-intensity lighting, creating a pleasant and safe environment at night. They can be used to delineate and highlight outdoor areas, as well as serve as a visual guide for pedestrian traffic.
[0006] Currently, the market offers a variety of LED bollard light models for outdoor areas, available in a range of styles, sizes, and light colors.
[0007] However, these current market models feature a robust construction to allow for the application of all internal components, resulting in a crude design that has low visual appeal to the consumer.
[0008] Furthermore, the vast majority of bollard lights on the market have the driver located externally to the structure, which makes installation difficult because in outdoor environments the light points are usually available in 4x2 boxes, making it impossible to place the driver together with the wiring in a way that requires the installer to break the installation location to hide the driver, generating several inconveniences for users.
[0009] Therefore, the present inventor, seeking to improve and resolve these market drawbacks, developed an LED marker light for outdoor use featuring a compact design that allows the driver and all electronic components to be integrated into its structure, thus improving its application in the market.
[0010] In a search of the state of the art, we identified several documents that describe guidelines for external use, among which we can highlight the following document:
[0011] Document BR202014031479-8 (João Everaldo, 2014) describes an outdoor luminaire consisting of a semi-cylindrical body; a movable handle; glass; a transverse column with one or more LED boards; driver(s); and a round cover with an inner ring which has three tabs.
[0012] Document CN212746119 (Shenzhen, 2021) describes an LED light source module for garden lighting, having a main module body whose inner part is formed by two grooves, where the intermediate part of the lower end of each groove is fixedly provided with a small radiant fan and the side of each groove is formed by radiating holes.
[0013] Document CN204201628 (Li, Lin-Gang. 2015) describes a landscape LED lamp for garden decoration, where the main body of the landscape lamp is located between the circuit board and the support plate, with the hollow prism column connected to the support plate and the circuit board fixed parallel to the main body of the glass surface.
[0014] These documents cited in the prior art present luminaires for outdoor use with a robust construction that does not allow the driver and all the electronic components to be integrated into a compact structure.
[0015] Thus, the present invention relates to a surface-mounted LED bollard light, applicable for outdoor or indoor areas, which provides a well-defined light effect through a compact design that allows the driver to be incorporated. The bollard light features a super-thin structure with a unique design that enhances the consumer's visual perception. This new design allows for greater practicality and ease of installation due to its compact format with integrated driver, in addition to offering a high level of protection against dust and water penetration, increasing the product's lifespan and ensuring greater versatility in its outdoor application. [0044] The external wall luminaire with integrated driver, object of the present invention, comprises a luminaire (100) equipped with a base structure (10) that allows the arrangement of the electronic components and a closing cover (20) for finishing and projecting the light beam.
[0045] The structure (10) is equipped with a set of oblong holes (11) for fixing with screws (111) to the wall in order to allow greater variability of application and proper leveling of the luminaire.
[0046] The structure (10) also has some projections and grooves (12) that allow fitting with the cover (20), so that this fastening system allows fitting or removing the cover by clicking, ensuring greater ease in assembly and disassembly. The structure (10) is equipped with projections (13) that allow positioning of the support (30) and driver (31).
[0047] The electronic components are arranged in the inner portion of the structure (10), so that in the medial portion is arranged the support (30) of the driver (31) together with the heat dissipation plate (32) which rests against the face of the structure (10). The support (30) that allows the positioning of the driver (31) is equipped with a cover (30A) that allows the driver to be sealed, in addition after closing, resin is applied to the inner portion of the support (30) with driver (31) to ensure perfect sealing against water and dust.
[0048] The support (30) has a protrusion (30B) that is fitted together with the opening (11A) of the structure (10), so as to allow the luminaire to maintain a compact characteristic with a super-thin edge with thicknesses between 9mm and 12mm.
[0049] The driver (31) is integrated with the LED assembly (40) in order to allow positioning next to the lid opening (20).
[0050] The cover (20) has a curved face (21) on the front portion with horizontal grooves (21 1) that allows for comfortable light propagation. The face (21) extends from the bottom to the middle portion, where the opening (22) and projection of the LEDs (40) are located.
[0051] The opening (22) is positioned in the lower portion and is internally equipped with tabs (221) that allow restricting the light beam emitted by the LEDs (40), so as to direct the light beam onto the structure with horizontal grooves (21 1).
[0052] The closing cover (20) is equipped with a super-thin edge (23) which has grooves (231) that allow it to be fixed and fitted together with the grooves (12) of the structure (10), ensuring ease of assembly and disassembly.
[0053] The luminaire (100) when mounted and switched on in the environment presents a beam of light that is projected onto the structure with horizontal grooves (21 1), as shown in figure 10.
[0054] In a second constructive modality, the luminaire (100A) has a reduction in its dimensions in order to be equipped by a base structure (10A) provided with oblong holes (11A) for screws (11A) and grooves and projections (12A), cover (20A) which has a quick-fit system and allows the internal arrangement of the support (30) with cover (30A) for the positioning of the driver (31) and LEDs (40) positioned next to the opening (21A) of the cover (20A). The support (30) has a projection (30B) that is positioned next to the opening (11B) of the base (10A).
[0055] The luminaire (100A), when mounted and switched on in the environment, presents a beam of light that is projected onto the structure with horizontal grooves (21 1), as shown in figure 17.
[0056] In a third constructive modality, the luminaire (100B) with a larger dimension and equipped with the same constructive characteristics as the main model.
[0057] The luminaire (100B) when mounted and switched on in the environment presents a beam of light that is projected onto the structure with horizontal grooves (21 1), as shown in figure 21.
[0058] The luminaires (100)(100A)(100B) when manufactured in white have a black adhesive applied internally to the cover (20) in order to prevent the passage of light generated by the LEDs (40).
[0059] The (100)(100A)(100B) luminaires are compatible with the 4x2 installation box, in order to generate greater practicality and ease of installation.
