AI Technical Summary
The existing communication technologies face challenges in enhancing the transmission of feedback information, particularly in the context of subband non-overlapping full duplex (SBFD) schemes, where the simultaneous transmission and reception of channel signals in different link directions complicate the efficient transmission of HARQ-ACK codebooks.
A mechanism is proposed where a terminal device receives parameters from a network device to determine candidate downlink shared channel transmission occasions. The terminal device then transmits a HARQ-ACK codebook message within an uplink subband of an SBFD symbol, allowing for enhanced feedback information transmission.
This solution enables improved feedback information transmission by utilizing the SBFD symbol's uplink subband for HARQ-ACK codebook messages, thereby enhancing communication efficiency and success rates in SBFD schemes.

Abstract
Description
DEVICE, METHOD AND COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM FOR COMMUNICATIONSFIELD
[0001] Embodiments of the present disclosure generally relate to the field of communication, and in particular, to devices, methods and computer readable medium for feedback information transmission enhancement.BACKGROUND
[0002] With the development of communication technology, a time unit (for example, a symbol, slot, sub-frame, frame, and so on) can be divided into a plurality of frequency subbands in the frequency domain. The plurality of frequency subbands may be respectively used for different link directions, for example, uplink (UL) or downlink (DL) . This time unit may be also referred to as subband non-overlapping full duplex (SBFD) time unit. In turn, a device for communication (for example, a network device or a terminal device) may perform the simultaneous transmission and reception of channel in different link directions on these time units, in order to improve communication efficiency.
[0003] In addition, to improve the success rate of data transmission, the hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) technology has been introduced to transmit the data channel for more than one time. Moreover, at the device that receives the data channel, feedback information on whether the data channel is received and decoded successfully may be transmitted to the transmitting device. In some cases, the feedback information is carried in a HARQ acknowledge (ACK) codebook. One HARQ-ACK codebook may contain information that indicates whether one or more transport blocks (TB) for data channel are received and decoded successfully. In turn, in the case of the SBFD scheme, the transmission of the feedback information can be enhanced.SUMMARY

[0048] As mentioned above, in the case of the SBFD scheme, the transmission of the feedback information (for example, the type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook) can be enhanced. Only for discussion clarity purposes, one solution of determining and transmitting the type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook is presented as below.
[0049] In this solution, the device which receives the data channel (for example, UE receiving physical downlink shared channel, PDSCH) may be indicated one or more slot offset values (for example, “K1” ) , uplink (UL) downlink (DL) configuration for a slot, and time domain resource allocation (TDRA) list for the PDSCH transmission. In addition, the one or more slot values may be indicated by receiving a dl-DataToUL-ACK field in PUCCH-config. Then, UE may select one of the slot offset values, and determine the slot index of the candidate occasions for candidate PDSCH receptions based on the selected slot offset value and the slot in which the type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook is to be transmitted. Specifically, the slot offset value indicates a number of slots between a slot that is scheduled with PDSCH transmission / reception and a further slot for type-1 HARQ ACK codebook transmission. Generally, the slot for PDSCH transmission / reception is before the further slot. After selecting the slot index of the candidate occasions for candidate PDSCH receptions, the UE determines the symbols that are allocated to the PDSCH in the slot having the selected slot index based on the TDRA list. UE may determine the number of the candidate occasions for candidate PDSCH receptions in this slot. For example, candidate occasions overlapped in time domain is counted as one candidate PDSCH reception. Furthermore, the UL-DL configuration may indicate which symbols in the slot is used for uplink direction and which symbols in the slot is used for downlink direction. Then, UE further determines whether the above determined candidate occasions are valid. Specifically, if at least one symbol of the PDSCH time resource derived from the TDRA list is configured as UL direction by the UL-DL configuration, then this candidate occasion is not valid. For the one or more slot offset values configured in dl-DataToUL-ACK, UE determines a set of M_ (A, c) occasions for candidate PDSCH receptions or semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) PDSCH releases or TCI state update. The size of type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook is based on the determined valid candidate occasions. For example, for one TB for the PDSCH that is transmitted in the candidate PDSCH transmission occasions, there is corresponding one bit in the Type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook, and this one bit may indicates whether the TB is received and decoded successfully.
[0050] Alternatively, the determination of the Type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook is further described as below. UE may receive dl-DataToUL-ACK in PUCCH-config, PDSCH-TimeDomainResourceAllocationlist in PDSCH-Config IE or PDSCH-ConfigCommon IE, and dd-UL-DL-ConfigurationCommon and tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationDedicated.
[0051] The procedure for construction a type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook is possibly as following. Firstly, UE chooses the first value from the configured dl-DataToUL-ACK, and determine the slot index of the candidate occasions for candidate PDSCH receptions. Secondly, according to the PDSCH-TimeDomainResourceAllocationlist, UE determines the row index union, and the candidate occasions number for candidate PDSCH receptions in this slot. And candidate occasions overlapped in time domain is counted as one candidate PDSCH receptions. Thirdly, UE determines whether all those candidate occasions are valid. If at least one symbol of the PDSCH time resource derived by row r of set R is configured as UL by tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationCommon or tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationDedicated, then this candidate PDSCH occasions is not valid. For the set of slot timing values K1 configured in dl-DataToUL-ACK, UE determines a set of M_ (A, c) occasions for candidate PDSCH receptions or SPS PDSCH releases or TCI state update. The size of type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook is based on the above semi-static parameter configuration.
[0052] However, with the introduction of the SBFD scheme, i.e., a DL symbol may be configured as an SBFD symbol, UE can transmit UL data in the configured SBFD symbol in addition to the UL symbol. There may be at least the following cases occurred.
[0053] Since the configured TDRA table for UL symbols may be not appropriate for SBFD symbols, the coordination between TDRA table and the SBFD symbols can be considered. Furthermore, if PUCCH / PUSCH resource is separately configured for SBFD symbols, two PUCCH / PUSCH may be transmitted in one slot, one is in SBFD symbols, and the other is in UL only symbols, then how to determine which HARQ-ACK codebook contained the HARQ-ACK information for scheduled PDSCH / SPS PDSCH should be considered. Moreover, the DL symbols may be configured with UL subband for UL transmission, then these symbols may be not considered as candidate occasions for candidate PDSCH receptions. How to handle the SBFD symbols when constructing type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook should be considered.
[0054] In view of the above, the example embodiments of the disclosure propose a mechanism for feedback information transmission enhancement with respect to the SBFD symbol. In this mechanism, a terminal device receives, from a network device, a set of parameters for determining candidate downlink shared channel transmission occasions in one or more slots. The terminal device further transmits, to the network device in at least one of an SBFD symbol or a non-SBFD symbol of a first slot, a HARQ-ACK codebook message for the candidate downlink shared channel transmission occasions. The SBFD symbol is configured with frequency subbands for different link directions, and the HARQ-ACK codebook message transmitted in the SBFD symbol is within an uplink subband of the SBFD symbol. In this way, the HARQ-ACK codebook can be also transmitted in the SBFD symbols. As such, the feedback information transmission can be enhanced in the flexibility.
[0055] Fig. 1 illustrates an example environment 100 in which example embodiments of the present disclosure can be implemented.
[0056] The environment 100, which may be a part of a communication network, comprises a terminal device 110, a network device 120. In some embodiments, the communication network may include NTN, NB-IoT and / or eMTC. In some other embodiments, the communication network may include any other possible communication network. It is to be understood that the number of network devices and terminal devices is given only for the purpose of illustration without suggesting any limitations. The communication network may include any suitable number of network devices and / or terminal devices adapted for implementing embodiments of the present disclosure. Although not shown, it would be appreciated that one or more terminal devices may be located in the environment 100. Without any limitation, the network device 120 supports the SBFD communication. For example, the network device 120 may transmit downlink (DL) channel to the terminal device 110 and receive UL channel from another terminal device 130 in the SBFD time unit, simultaneously. In this disclosure, the non-SBFD time unit may be UL only time unit or DL only time unit.
[0057] It is to be understood that the number of units and other objects in Fig. 1 is provided merely for the purpose of illustration without implying any limitations to the device environment 100. The device environment 100 may include any suitable number of functionality units configured to implement example embodiments of the subject disclosure. Although not shown, it would be appreciated that one or more terminal devices may be located in the device environment 100. In this disclosure, the transmission of the HARQ-ACK codebook, the TDRA list and / or the determination of candidate PDSCH transmission occasions can be adapted to the configured SBFD symbol.
[0058] Fig. 2 illustrates an example signaling process 200 for type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook transmission enhancement according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. For illustrative purposes, the process 200 will be described with reference to Fig. 1.
[0059] In the signaling process 200, the network device 120 transmits (210) a set of parameters 215 for determining candidate downlink shared channel transmission occasions in one or more slots to the terminal device 110. In some embodiments, the downlink shared channel is physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) . Alternatively, the downlink shared channel may be any other downlink data channel. In some embodiments, the set of parameters may include a set of slot offsets which each may indicate a slot offset value between a slot of the candidate occasions for candidate PDSCH receptions and another slot for transmitting the corresponding HARQ-ACK codebook. In addition or alternatively, the set of parameters may include one or more TDRA lists, the TDRA lists may indicate symbols for the candidate PDSCH occasions within a slot. In turn, the terminal device 110 may apply the one or more TDRA lists to the slot that are determined based on the set of slot offsets, in order to obtain the candidate PDSCH occasions. Moreover, the TDRA lists and the set of slot offsets can be further adjusted in the case that SBFD symbols are configured in the slots. For discussion clarity, the TDRA lists and the slot offsets associated with the SBFD symbols are further discussed in the following embodiments.
[0060] In some embodiments, the set of parameters may include a first TDRA list and a second TDRA list. The first TDRA list may be configured for one or more SBFD symbols and the second TDRA list may be configured for one or more non-SBFD symbols. In an example, for SBFD symbols or non-SBFD symbols, the TDRA table for PDSCH transmission is always separately configured and included in PDSCH-Config IE, for example, the above first TDRA list and the second TDRA list are configured separately. The TDRA table configuration (for example, the first TDRA list) for SBFD symbols is based on the SBFD configuration, such as the starting symbols index and the symbol number for SBFD operation. In turn, for SBFD aware terminal device, based on the symbols type (SBFD or non-SBFD) , this terminal device may determine which TDRA table (the first TDRA table or the second TDRA table) is to be applied. For example, for the SBFD symbols in at least one slot, the terminal device may apply the first TDRA list. For the non-SBFD symbols in at least one slot, the terminal device may apply the second TDRA list.
[0061] Without any limitation, the above embodiments may be also expressed as below.
[0062] Only for discussion clarity, an example of TDRA list for the SBFD symbols is presented as below. Assuming that the configured SBFD symbols is from symbol 0 to symbol 9, then the configured TDRA table for SBFD symbols can be as in the below table 1.
[0063] Table 1
[0064] In table 1, the term “dmrs-TypeA-Position” refers to a starting symbol position for mapping demodulation reference signal (DMRS) mapping type A. The term “PDSCH mapping type” comprises two types: type A and type B. For PDSCH mapping type A, a parameter “l” is defined relative to the start of the slot, and l0=0 if the higher-layer parameter dmrs-Type A position is equal to ‘pos3’ and l0=2 otherwise. For PDSCH mapping type B, a parameter “l” is defined relative to the start of the scheduled PDSCH resources, and l0=0.
[0065] Furthermore, if the SBFD symbols is dynamically indicated, then UE (or the terminal device) expects that the allocated symbols for PDSCH in the indicated row index of the TDRA table is not exceed the SBFD symbol boundary.
[0066] Alternatively, the set of parameters 215 may only include one common TDRA list / table. In this case, no matter whether the slots are configured with SBFD symbols or not, the terminal device 110 may determine the candidate downlink shared channel transmission occasions using this one common TDRA list / table.
[0067] Still referring to Fig. 2, accordingly, the terminal device 110 receives (220) the set of parameters 215 for determining candidate downlink shared channel transmission occasions from the network device 120. As mentioned above, the set of parameters 215 may include the first TDRA list and the second TDRA list. In this case, the terminal device 110 may apply the first TDRA list or the second TDRA list in a slot based on the symbol type in the slot. For example, if the terminal device 110 is configured with a TDRA table for SBFD symbols / slot in PDSCH-Config, then the terminal device 110 may apply the TDRA using table configured for SBFD symbols / slot in the case that the symbols are SBFD symbols. Alternatively, as mentioned above, the set of parameters may only include one common TDRA list. In this case, the terminal device 110 may apply this common TDRA list without considering the SBFD symbol / slot configuration. In an example, if the terminal device 110 is not configured with the TDRA table for SBFD symbols, then the terminal device 110 may determine the TDRA based on the configured table for non-SBFD slot / symbols. In addition or alternatively, the terminal device 110 may use a default PDSCH time domain allocation A, B or C according to tables 5.1.2.1.1-2, 5.1.2.1.1-3, 5.1.2.1.1-4 and table 5.1.2.1.1-5 in TS 38.213. Without any limitation, a table for determining which TDRA table is to be used (for example, the table 5.1.2.1.1-1 in TS 38.213) can be adjusted as shown in table 2.
[0068] In table 2, SS refers to synchronization signal, PBCH refers to physical broadcast channel, and CORESET refers to control resource set, C-RNTI refers to cell radio network temporary identity, MCS refers to modulation and coding scheme, and CS-RNTI refers to configured scheduling RNTI. In addition, the PDSCH-config common indicates common parameters for configuration cell level-bandwidth part (BWP) .
[0069] In addition or alternatively, a new table for determining which TDRA table is to be used can be introduced for SBFD. For example, the below table 3 can be defined for SBFD aware UE to determine which TDRA table can be used. This new table can be intruded as the Table 5.1.2.1.1-1B: Applicable PDSCH time domain resource allocation for DCI format 1_1 / 1_2. The terms in the Table 2 have the similar meanings of the same terms in table 2.
[0070] Then, by applying the first TDRA list, the second TDRA list or the common TDRA list to the one or more slots that are indicated by the set of slot offset values in the set of parameters 215, the terminal device 110 may determine (223) candidate downlink shared channel transmission occasions. In addition, based on the candidate downlink shared channel transmission occasions, the terminal device 110 may determine (225) a size of HARQ-ACK codebook. As mentioned above, the HARQ-ACK codebook may be based on the candidate downlink shared channel transmission occasions. For example, one bit in the HARQ-ACK codebook size may correspond to one TB transmitted on the candidate downlink shared channel transmission occasions. However, the SBFD time unit is configured on symbols which are initially downlink (DL) symbols. Therefore, downlink traffic from the network device 120 may be scheduled on the SBFD time unit. In this case, the candidate downlink shared channel transmission occasions on the SBFD symbols may be not valid, for example, the DL traffic may be more important. In turn, whether reserving feedback information for the candidate downlink shared channel transmission occasions on the SBFD symbols should be further considered. For discussion clarity, the determination of HARQ-ACK codebook size is discussed in detail with respect to Figs. 4a and 4b, and it not discussed here.
[0071] Still referring to Fig. 2, the terminal device 110 transmits (230) the HARQ ACK codebook message 235 in a first slot to the network device 120. Moreover, the first slot includes at least one subband non-overlapping full duplex (SBFD) symbol. The HARQ-ACK codebook may include the semi-persistent Type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook. In some embodiments, depending on whether the physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resources are configured separately for the SBFD symbols or the non-SBFD symbols, and whether the slot offset values are configured separately for the SBFD symbols or the non-SBFD symbols, the terminal device 110 may transmit the HARQ-ACK codebook message 235 in multiple alternatives.
[0072] In some embodiments, the first set of resources for the PUCCH in the SBFD symbols and the second set of resources for the PUCCH in the SBFD symbols are separately configured. Moreover, the set of parameters 215 may include a first set of slot offset values associated with the SBFD symbols and a second set of slot offset values associated with the non-SBFD symbols. At least one slot offset value of the first set of slot offset values may indicate at least one slot offset between at least one slot of the one or more slots (which carry the candidate PDSCH transmission occasions) and the first slot for the HARQ-ACK codebook. In addition, at least one further slot offset value of the second set of slot offset values may indicate at least one further slot offset between at least one further slot of the one or more slots and the first slot. It is to be understood that “the at least one slot” and “the at least one further slot” used herein are only used for distinguishing them. Since the first or second set of slot offset values is configured independently, the at least one slot and the at least one further slot may be the same or different without any limitation. In a specific example, the first set of slot offset values is carried in a first dl-DataToUL-ACK for SBFD symbols, and the second set of slot offset values is carried in a second dl-DataToUL-ACK for non-SBFD symbols.
[0073] In this case, the terminal device 110 may transmit (230) more than one HARQ-ACK codebook message in the SBFD symbols and the non-SBFD symbols of the first slot, separately. For example, the terminal device 110 may transmit, in the SBFD symbol of the first slot, a first HARQ-ACK codebook message for the candidate downlink shared channel transmission occasions in the at least one slot. In addition, the terminal device 110 may transmit, in the non-SBFD symbol of the first slot, a second HARQ-ACK codebook message for the candidate downlink shared channel transmission occasions in the at least one further slot. Only for discussion purposes, the above embodiments are further discussed with reference to Fig. 3a.
[0074] Fig. 3a illustrates an example of type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook transmission in the case that the uplink control channel resources and slot offset values are separately configured for SBFD symbol or non-SBFD symbol according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. In this disclosure, the “DL subband” in Figs refer to the subband which is configured for the DL direction traffic in a SBFD symbol. In turn, the “UL subband” in Figs refer to the subband which is configured for the UL direction traffic in a SBFD symbol. Only for discussion clarity, the UL subband or DL subband in the SBFD symbol may be also shown as “DL” or “UL” in Figs.
[0075] In an example of Fig. 3a, for SBFD aware UE (for example, the terminal device 110) , separate PUCCH resource and dl-DataToUL-ACK in PUCCH-config is configured for SBFD symbols and non-SBFD symbols. The HARQ-ACK feedback in the first slot (for example, slot n+k1) includes SBFD symbols and UL only symbols, then two separate type-1 HARQ-ACK codebooks can be constructed. As shown in Fig. 3a, the first HARQ-ACK codebook message (for example, HARQ-ACK codebook1 301) that is transmitted on the first set of PUCCH resources in SBFD symbols may be generated based on the values in the first dl-DataToUL-ACK (for example, the dl-DataToUL-ACK in PUCCH-config and the TDRA table configured for SBFD symbols) . In addition, the second HARQ-ACK codebook (for example, HARQ-ACK codebook2 305) that is transmitted on the second PUCCH resource in UL only symbols may be generated based on the values in second dl-DataToUL-ACK (for example, the dl-DataToUL-ACK in PUCCH-config and the TDRA table configured for UL-only symbols. In addition, the union of row indexes of time domain resource allocation (TDRA) tables may be separately constructed for SBFD symbols and non-SBFD symbols.
[0076] Referring back to Fig. 2, the terminal device 110 may also transmit (230) the HARQ-ACK codebook message 235 repeatedly or transmit one HARQ-ACK codebook message 235. Moreover, the repeated HARQ-ACK codebook or the one HARQ-ACK codebook may include sub HARQ-ACK codebooks which are correspond to different sets of slot offset values. In an example, the HARQ-ACK codebook message 235 may include a first sub-HARQ-ACK codebook message and a second sub-HARQ-ACK codebook message. The first sub-HARQ-ACK codebook message is for the candidate downlink shared channel occasions in the at least one slot, and the second sub-HARQ-ACK codebook message is for the candidate downlink shared channel occasions in the at least one further slot.
[0077] In some embodiments, if the first set of resources for the PUCCH in the SBFD symbols and the second set of resources for the PUCCH in the SBFD symbols are still separately configured, the terminal device 110 may transmit a first repetition of the HARQ-ACK codebook message in the SBFD symbol of the first slot. Furthermore, the terminal device 110 may transmit a second repetition of the HARQ-ACK codebook message in the non-SBFD symbol of the first slot. Only for discussion purposes, the above embodiments are further discussed with reference to Fig. 3b.
[0078] Fig. 3b illustrates another example of type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook transmission in the case that the uplink control channel resources and slot offset values are separately configured for SBFD symbol and non-SBFD symbol according to some embodiments of the present disclosure.
[0079] In the example of Fig. 3b, dl-DataToUL-ACK in PUCCH-config and PUCCH resource are separately configured for SBFD symbols and non-SBFD symbols. In this case, one type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook is constructed. This one type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook includes two sub-codebooks 317 and 319. The first sub-HARQ-ACK codebook 317 is constructed based on dl-DataToUL-ACK in PUCCH configuration for SBFD symbols, and the second sub-HARQ-ACK codebook 319 is constructed based on dl-DataToUL-ACK in PUCCH configuration for non-SBFD symbols. Without any limitation, the order of the first sub-HARQ-ACK codebook 317 and the second sub-HARQ-ACK codebook 319 may be different from the order as shown in Fig. 3b. In addition, the second sub-HARQ-ACK codebook may be appended to the first sub-HARQ-ACK codebook. Moreover, this type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook may be transmitted repeatedly on PUCCH resource configured for SBFD symbols and non-SBFD symbols. In addition, the row indices in the two TDRA tables may be separately used for constitute the row indexes union R when construction the two sub-codebooks.
[0080] Referring back to Fig. 2, alternatively, in the case that the PUCCH resources for the SBFD symbols and the PUCCH resources for the non-SBFD symbols are commonly configured, the terminal device 110 may transmit, crossing the SBFD symbols and the non-SBFD symbols, the one HARQ-ACK codebook message 235 including the two sub-ARQ-ACK codebook messages. For example, the first set of resources for PUCCH in the SBFD symbols and the second set of resources for PUCCH in the non-SBFD symbols are determined based on a set of common parameters. Furthermore, the two sub HARQ-ACK codebook messages are correspond to different sets of slot offset values, separately. Only for discussion purposes, the above embodiments are further discussed with reference to Fig. 3d.
[0081] Fig. 3d illustrates an example of type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook transmission in the case that only the uplink control channel resources are commonly configured for SBFD symbol or non-SBFD symbol according to some embodiments of the present disclosure.
[0082] In the example of Fig. 3d, PUCCH resource is unified for SBFD and non-SBFD symbols, and dl-DataToUL-ACK in PUCCH-config is separately configured for SBFD symbols and non-SBFD symbols. In this case, one type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook 330 is constructed, and this codebook includes two sub-HARQ-ACK codebooks 333 and 335. One sub-HARQ-ACK codebook is 333 constructed based on dl-DataToUL-ACK for SBFD symbols in PUCCH configuration, and the other sub-HARQ-ACK codebook 335 is constructed based on dl-DataToUL-ACK for non-SBFD symbols in PUCCH configuration. In addition, the row indexes in the two TDRA table (for SBFD symbols and non-SBFD symbols) are separately used for constitute the row indexes union R when constructing the two sub-codebooks.
[0083] In the above embodiments, the slot offset values are separately configured for the SBFD symbols and non-SBFD symbols in the first slot, i.e., the first set of slot offset values and the second set of slot offset values. Referring back to Fig. 2, alternatively, there may be only one set of slot offset values which are not further divided for SBFD or non-SBFD symbols. In this disclosure, this one set of slot offset values may be also referred to the third set of slot offset values. In this case, how to transmit the HARQ-ACK codebook message 235 is further based on the PUCCH resource configuration for the SBFD symbols and the non-SBFD symbols.
[0084] In some embodiments, the first set of resources for PUCCH in the SBFD symbols and the second set of resources for PUCCH in the non-SBFD symbols are determined based on a set of common parameters. In this case, the terminal device 110 may transmit one HARQ-ACK codebook message during the first slot. The one HARQ-ACK codebook message may be within the SBFD symbols of the first slot, within the non-SBFD symbols of the first slot, or may cross the boundary between the SBFD symbols and the non-SBFD symbols. Only for discussion purposes, the above embodiments are further discussed with reference to Fig. 3c.
[0085] Fig. 3c illustrates an example of type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook transmission in the case that the uplink control channel resources and slot offset values are commonly configured for SBFD symbol or non-SBFD symbol according to some embodiments of the present disclosure.
[0086] In the example of Fig. 3c, PUCCH-config is common for SBFD and non-SBFD symbols. That is, dl-DataToUL-ACK and PUCCH resource in PUCCH-config are common for SBFD symbols and non-SBFD symbols. In this case, one type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook 320 is constructed. In addition, the row index configured in TDRA table for SBFD symbols are included in the row index union of non-SBFD symbols. In addition, the terminal device 110 (for example, UE) may expect that the allocated PUCCH resource is within the UL subband if the PUCCH across SBFD symbols and non-SBFD symbols. Alternatively, the HARQ-ACK codebook will not cross SBFD symbols and non-SBFD symbols, any frequency domain resource allocation for the SBFD or non-SBFD symbols can be configured. In addition, since the SBFD symbols and non-SBFD symbols are TDMed, then there will be no overlapping in time domain for the PDSCH transmitted on SBFD symbols and non-SBFD symbols. Without any limitation, the above embodiments may be also expressed as below.
[0087] Referring back to Fig. 2, alternatively, the first set of resources for PUCCH in the SBFD symbols and the second set of resources for PUCCH in the non-SBFD symbols are separately configured. In this case, the terminal device 110 may transmit a first repetition of the HARQ-ACK codebook message in the SBFD symbol of the first slot. Moreover, the terminal device 110 may transmit a second repetition of the HARQ-ACK codebook message in the non-SBFD symbol of the first slot. Only for discussion purposes, the above embodiments are further discussed with reference to Fig. 3e.
[0088] Fig. 3e illustrates an example of type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook transmission in the case that only slot offset values are commonly configured for SBFD symbol or non-SBFD symbol according to some embodiments of the present disclosure.
[0089] In the example of Fig. 3e, PUCCH FDRA may be separately configured for the SBFD symbols or non-SBFD symbols. Furthermore, dl-DataToUL-ACK in PUCCH-config is common to the SBFD symbols or non-SBFD symbols. In this case, one type-1 HARQ-ACK is constructed, and this type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook may be repeatedly transmitted on PUCCH resource configured for SBFD symbols and configured for non-SBFD symbols of the first slot. In addition, the row indexes union R for generate the type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook are provided by the union of row indexes of time domain resource allocation table for the SBFD symbols and the TDRA table for non-SBFD symbols.
[0090] Referring back to Fig. 2, in addition or alternatively, the HARQ-ACK codebook message 235 transmitted in the SBFD or non-SBFD symbols of the first slot may be associated with traffic priority. Assuming that a first downlink shared channel transmitted in the candidate downlink shared channel transmission occasions of the one or more slots is configured with first traffic priority level. A second downlink shared channel transmitted in the candidate downlink shared channel transmission occasions of the one or more slots is configured with a second traffic priority level. Moreover, the first traffic priority level is higher than the second traffic priority level. In this case, the terminal device 110 may transmit a HARQ-ACK codebook message (which may be also referred to as a third HARQ-ACK codebook message) for the first downlink shared channel, and transmit a further HARQ-ACK codebook message (which may be also referred to as a fourth HARQ-ACK codebook message) for the second downlink shared channel. The third HARQ-ACK codebook message is transmitted in an earlier one of the SBFD symbols or the non-SBFD symbols of the first slot. Only for discussion purposes, the above embodiments are further discussed with reference to Fig. 3f.
[0091] Fig. 3f illustrates an example of priority based type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook transmission with respect to SBFD symbol or non-SBFD symbol according to some embodiments of the present disclosure.
[0092] In the example of Fig. 3f, the PUCCH resources, such as FDRA, may be separately configured / indicated for SBFD symbols and non-SBFD symbols. In this case, two type-1 HARQ-ACK codebooks may constructed, one type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook 350 is for PDSCH priority 1 (which is higher than the priority 0) . This type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook 350 is transmitted on the PUCCH resource on the earlier one of the SBFD symbols and non-SBFD symbols (which is SBFD symbol as shown in Fig. 3f) . In addition, the other type-1 HARQ-ACK 355 is for PDSCH priority 0 and is transmitted on the PUCCH resource on the other one of the SBFD symbols and non-SBFD symbols (which is non-SBFD symbol as shown in Fig. 3f) . In addition, the total size of these two HARQ-ACK codebook is semi-static and based on the value number in dl-DataToUL-ACK and TDRA table for SBFD symbols and non-SBFD symbols.
[0093] Referring back to Fig. 2, alternatively, the above two priority based type-1 HARQ-ACK codebooks may act as two sub-HARQ-ACK codebooks in one HARQ-ACK codebooks. Moreover, this one HARQ-ACK codebooks may be repeatedly transmitted in the SBFD symbols and non-SBFD symbols of the first slot.
[0094] In an example, the HARQ-ACK codebook message 235 may include a third sub-HARQ-ACK codebook message for a third set of downlink shared channel transmitted in the candidate downlink shared channel transmission occasions, and the third downlink shared channel set is configured with first traffic priority level. The HARQ-ACK codebook message 235 may further include a fourth sub-HARQ-ACK codebook for a fourth set of downlink shared channel transmitted in the candidate downlink shared channel transmission occasions, and the fourth downlink shared channel set is configured with a second traffic priority level. In turn, the terminal device 110 may transmit a first repetition of the HARQ-ACK codebook message in the SBFD symbol of the first slot, and transmit a second repetition of the HARQ-ACK codebook message in the non-SBFD symbol of the first slot. Only for discussion purposes, the above embodiments are further discussed with reference to Fig. 3g.
[0095] Fig. 3g illustrates another example of priority based type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook transmission with respect to SBFD symbol or non-SBFD symbol according to some embodiments of the present disclosure.
[0096] In the example of Fig. 3g, PUCCH FDRA may be separately configured / indicated. In turn, one type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook 360 is constructed. In addition, this one type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook may two HARQ-ACK sub-codebooks, one sub-codebook 368 is for higher priority PDSCHs, the other sub-codebook 369 is for lower priority PDSCHs. In some embodiments, the sub-codebook for lower priority PDSCHs may be appended to the sub-codebook for higher priority PDSCHs. In addition, this one type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook may be repeatedly transmitted on PUCCH resource configured for SBFD symbols and non-SBFD symbols of the first slot, separately.
[0097] The above embodiments discuss multiple alternatives in which the transmission of the HARQ-ACK codebook are adapted to the introduction of the SBFD symbols. In addition, as mentioned above, the HARQ-ACK codebook size determination may be also updated / adjusted with respect to the SBFD symbols.
[0098] In some embodiments, for each of determined candidate downlink shared channel transmission occasion, a bit field may be reserved in the HARQ-ACK codebook. Alternatively, the terminal device may further determine whether the determined candidate downlink shared channel transmission occasion is valid based on a priority, and then determine whether to reserve the bit field for a determined candidate downlink shared channel transmission occasion.
[0099] In some embodiments, the terminal device 110 may determine, based on a third priority level associated with downlink shared channel and a fourth priority level associated with uplink channel / signal, a size of the HARQ-ACK codebook message to be transmitted. The downlink shared channel and the uplink channel / signal both are pre-scheduled on one or more SBFD symbols in the one or more slots. For example, the one or more SBFD symbols are determined based on that applying a TDRA table / list.
[0100] In some embodiments, if the third priority level is above or equal to the fourth priority level, the terminal device 110 may count the candidate downlink shared channel transmission occasion on the at least one SBFD symbol, and reserve, in the HARQ-ACK codebook message, a bit field for the counted candidate downlink shared channel transmission occasion. In addition, if the third priority level is below the fourth priority level which means that the SBFD symbols for the PDSCH may be used for uplink traffic finally, the terminal device 110 may still count the candidate downlink shared channel transmission occasion on the at least one SBFD symbol. Moreover, the terminal device 110 may reserve a padding NACK bit field in the HARQ-ACK codebook message.
[0101] In a specific example, the terminal device 110 may still count the PDSCH occasions that are determined based on the TDRA as candidate occasions for candidate PDSCH receptions. Furthermore, a bit field may be reserved for each PDSCH occasions. In this case, the determination of the ACK / NACK feedback (padding NACK or feedback the ACK / NACK) is further based on the collision cases for DL reception and the UL transmission in SBFD symbols. Specifically, the ACK or NACK information in the bit field may be based on the predefined priority rule of UE’s UL transmission and DL reception in the same SBFD symbols. For example, if the third priority level is higher than or equal to the fourth priority level (which means that the candidate PDSCH occasion may be used for the PDSCH finally) , then the HARQ-ACK codebook message may comprise an actual HARQ-ACK feedback for this candidate downlink shared channel occasion.
[0102] Alternatively, if the terminal device 110 is scheduled or allocated UL transmission on the UL subband in the SBFD symbols, then, the network device 120 may not schedule PDSCH transmission or the SPS PDSCH that has lower priority than scheduled UL. In this case, there will be no DL PDSCH reception on these SBFD symbols, then, the terminal device 110 may include, in the HARQ-ACK codebook, a padding NACK for these candidate PDSCH occasions in these SBFD symbols.
[0103] In another example, if the terminal device 110 is scheduled with PDSCH reception, and the dynamic DL PDSCH scheduling is prioritized than semi-statically UL transmission on the same SBFD symbols, then the terminal device 110 may drop the UL transmission and receive the PDSCH and feedback the actual HARQ-ACK for this candidate PDSCH reception in these SBFD symbols according to the PDSCH decoding result. For example, the terminal device 110 has UL transmission on the SBFD symbols of SBFD slot n, then UE will feedback NACK for this candidate PDSCH occasion. If the terminal device 110 has PDSCH reception in SBFD slot m, then the terminal device 110 will feedback the actual HARQ-ACK for this candidate PDSCH occasion.
[0104] In addition, the network device 120 may further indicate the terminal device 110 which traffic (UL traffic or DL traffic) has a higher priority or which link direction (UL or DL) has a higher priority. For example, the terminal device 110 may receive, from the network device 120, a priority level indication that is indicative of the third priority level and the fourth priority level. The third priority level indicates a priority of a downlink direction or a priority of a downlink traffic, and the fourth priority level indicates a priority of an uplink direction or a priority of uplink traffic scheduled on the at least one SBFD symbol. Then, based on the explicit indication, the terminal device 110 may determine to transmit the actual ACK / NACK in the HARQ-ACK codebook or to transmit the padding NACK in the HARQ-ACK codebook.
[0105] In a specific example, one bit ACK / NACK in the HARQ-ACK codebook is reserved for each candidate PDSCH occasions on SBFD symbols. In addition, the ACK / NACK feedback for these candidate PDSCH occasions on SBFD symbols when construction type-1 codebook is based on the explicit indication of the link direction of the SBFD symbol. The explicit indication can be in DCI or MAC CE. If the indication signaling indicates that the SBFD symbols is a UL link, then the terminal device 110 may feedback padding NACK for these candidate PDSCH receptions in these SBFD symbols. If the indication signaling indicates that the SBFD symbols is a DL link, then the terminal device 110 may receive the SPS PDSCH and feedback the actual HARQ-ACK according to the PDSCH decoding result for this candidate PDSCH reception in the SBFD symbols.
[0106] In some embodiments, the DCI may be a common DCI, and the signalling is used to indicate SBFD slots / symbols which can override the fixed DL slots / symbols in cell-specific TDD UL / DL configuration in tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationCommon. Alternatively, the DCI may be a UE-specific DCI, and the signalling is used to indicate SBFD slots / symbols which can override the fixed DL slots / symbols in UE-specific TDD UL / DL configuration in tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationDedicated. In this way, the collision issues between higher layer configured UL channel / signals and DL channel / signals can be solved.
[0107] In the above embodiments, for each candidate PDSCH transmission occasions, the corresponding bit field should be reserved in the HARQ-ACK codebook. Alternatively, if a candidate PDSCH transmission occasion on the SBFD symbols is determined as invalid (for example, the SBFD symbols is finally used for UL traffic) , there may be no corresponding bit field in the HARQ-ACK codebook.
[0108] In some embodiments, if the above third priority level is below the fourth priority level, the terminal device 110 may refrain from counting the candidate downlink shared channel transmission occasion on the at least one SBFD symbol. In this case, there is no corresponding bit field in the HARQ-ACK codebook.
[0109] In a specific example, based on the predefined priority rule of the SPS PDSCH and the configured UL transmission, when constructing type-1 codebook, the terminal device 110 may determine whether these SBFD symbols are counted as candidate PDSCH occasions for candidate PDSCH receptions. Then, the terminal device 110 determines the type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook size. In some embodiments, if SPS PDSCH collides with configured UL transmission in the SBFD symbols and the priority of the UL transmission is higher than the SPS PDSCH, then the terminal device 110 may drop the PDSCH reception on these SBFD symbols, and the candidate PDSCH occasions are not counted for candidate PDSCH receptions. In turn, there is no ACK / NACK or padding NACK for the SBFD symbols in the HARQ-ACK codebook.
[0110] If the priority of the UL transmission is lower than the SPS PDSCH, then when constructing type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook, the candidate PDSCH occasions on these SBFD symbols are counted as candidate occasions for candidate PDSCH receptions. The terminal device 110 may transmit actual ACK / NACK according to the decoding result of the PDSCH. Only as an example, the predefined priority of SPS PDSCH and the configured UL transmission may be as below.
[0111] In some embodiments, the priority rule of the SPS PDSCH and the configured UL transmission is semi-static configured through RRC or SIB. In this case, whether candidate PDSCH occasion on these SBFD symbols can be counted as candidate occasions for candidate PDSCH receptions is based on the configured priority rule. Only for discussion purposes, the above embodiments are further discussed with reference to Fig. 4a.
[0112] Fig. 4a illustrates an example of determining a HARQ-ACK codebook size according to some embodiments of the present disclosure.
[0113] In the example of Fig. 4a, if SPS PDSCH 410 collides with configured UL transmission 420 in the SBFD symbols and the priority of the UL transmission is higher than the SPS PDSCH, then candidate PDSCH occasions on these SBFD symbols may be not counted as candidate occasions for candidate PDSCH receptions when constructing type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook. In this case, the terminal device 110 may not transmit ACK / NACK for candidate PDSCH occasions on the SBFD symbols.
[0114] If the priority of the UL transmission is lower than the SPS PDSCH, then candidate PDSCH occasions on these SBFD symbols may be counted as candidate occasions for candidate PDSCH receptions when constructing type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook. In this case, the terminal device 110 may transmit ACK / NACK according to the decoding result of the PDSCH. That is, type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook size is based on the UL signal / channel priority and the SPS PDSCH priority configuration. In another example, the UL subband in the SBFD symbols may be configured for a priority UL channel transmission lower than the priority of PDSCH reception, such as configured grant PUSCH, P-CSI report or semi-static CSI report, or P-SRS / semi-static SRS. In this case, these DL symbols configured as SBFD symbols are still counted as the candidate occasions for candidate PDSCH receptions. The terminal device 110 may drop the UL transmission in the UL subband, and receive the PDSCH in the DL subband and generate HARQ-ACK accordingly.
[0115] In addition or alternatively, the priority of the downlink traffic or the priority of the uplink traffic may be based on the priorities of the UL subband and the DL subband of the SBFD symbols. Only for discussion purposes, this embodiment is further discussed with reference to Fig. 4b.
[0116] Fig. 4b illustrates another example of determining a HARQ-ACK codebook size according to some embodiments of the present disclosure.
[0117] In the example of Fig. 4b, a UE-specific RRC signaling is used to configure the UL subband / UL transmission priority and the DL subband / DL reception priority directly. If the configured UL subband priority is higher than the DL subband priority, then these candidate PDSCH occasions on these SBFD symbols (which may be DL symbols initially) is not considered (i.e., no ACK / NACK bit) when generating the type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook. In this case, the terminal device 110 may transmit a physical random access channel or message A 420 and refrain from receiving the SPS PDSCH 410 on the candidate PDSCH occasions in the SBFD symbols. If the configured UL subband priority is higher than the DL subband priority, then these candidate PDSCH occasions on these SBFD symbols are counted when generating the type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook. Then, the terminal device 110 may transmit the actual ACK / NACK for these candidate PDSCH occasions on these SBFD symbols. Similarly, type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook size may be based on the configured UL subband priority and the DL subband priority configuration.
