[0233] The embodiments of the present disclosure can be applied to Long Term Evolution (LTE), LTE-Advanced (LTE-A), LTE-Beyond (LTE-B), SUPER 3G, IMT-Advanced, 4th generation mobile communication system (4G), 5th generation mobile communication system (5G), 5G new radio (NR), future radio access (FRA), new radio access technology (RAT), new radio (NR), new radio access (NX), future generation radio access (FX), Global System for Mobile communications (GSM (registered trademark)), CDMA2000, Ultra Mobile Broadband (UMB), IEEE 802.11 (Wi-Fi (registered trademark)), IEEE 802.16 (WiMAX (registered trademark)), IEEE 802.20, Ultra-WideBand (UWB), Bluetooth (registered trademark), Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) networks, Device-to-Device (D2D) systems, Machine-to-Machine (M2M) systems, Internet of Things (IoT) systems, Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X), systems utilizing other communication methods, and next-generation systems based on and extending these methods. Furthermore, multiple systems may be combined (for example, a combination of LTE or LTE-A with 5G).

[0234] Positioning based on the Uu port (the wireless interface between the terminal and the access network equipment) is called Uu port positioning. Positioning methods include time difference of arrival (TDOA), angle of departure (AoD), angle of arrival (AoA), multi-round trip time (Multi-RTT), assisted global navigation satellite system (A-GNSS), wireless local area network (WLAN) positioning, Bluetooth positioning, sensor positioning, carrier phase positioning, enhanced cell identification (E-CID) positioning, etc.

[0235] Positioning based on the sidelink link between terminals is called sidelink positioning, which includes sidelink absolute positioning, sidelink relative positioning, and ranging. Positioning methods include sidelink round-trip time (SL-RTT), sidelink time difference of arrival (SL-TDOA), sidelink angle of arrival (SL-AOA), and SL carrier phase. Absolute positioning determines the absolute coordinates of a terminal, relative positioning determines the coordinates of a terminal relative to a reference point, and ranging determines the distance and / or angle of a terminal relative to a reference point.

[0236] Ranging usually only involves ranging between two terminals, but absolute positioning and relative positioning may involve multiple terminals to participate in positioning.

[0237] SL positioning methods include SL-RTT, SL-TDOA, and SL-AOA. Furthermore, SL positioning methods can be combined with Uu positioning methods to improve positioning accuracy. To obtain the absolute position of a terminal, Uu positioning can be used to obtain the absolute position of a reference terminal. Relative positioning can then be used to determine the relative position of the target terminal and the reference terminal. The absolute position of the target terminal can then be calculated using the absolute position of the reference UE and the relative positions of the two.

[0238] As shown in Figure 1B, based on the SL TDOA positioning method, the terminal can determine the specific position of the terminal relative to multiple (greater than or equal to 3) road side units (RSUs) by measuring the positioning signals sent by the RSU through the sidelink link. If the positioning result is not converted into absolute position coordinates based on the absolute position information of the RSU's global positioning system (GPS), then the positioning result is relative positioning. Otherwise, it is absolute positioning. The terminal being positioned is the target terminal, and other terminals that support positioning the target terminal are anchor terminals.

[0239] In some embodiments, SL-positioning reference signal (PRS) resource allocation: SL-PRS transmission can be in a dedicated resource pool or in a shared resource pool, where the shared resource pool is a resource pool shared by SL-PRS and SL data transmission.

[0240] SL-PRS resource allocation can adopt Solution 1 or Solution 2. Solution 1 is a resource allocation mode based on the scheduling of access network equipment, and Solution 2 is a resource allocation mode in which the terminal independently selects resources.

[0241] In some embodiments, within the NG-RAN coverage area, resources in the resource pool can be provided to the terminal by broadcast or dedicated signaling, and the terminal can perform automatic resource selection as needed.

[0242] In some embodiments, the terminal autonomously selects side link resources from a resource pool provided by broadcast system information or dedicated signaling within NG-RAN coverage or through pre-configuration, or selects side link resources through pre-configuration outside NG-RAN coverage.

[0243] For NR sidelink communications, a resource pool can be provided for a given validity region, where a terminal does not need to acquire a new resource pool when moving within the validity region, at least when the system information block (SIB) provides this pool. The NR SIB region scope mechanism is reused to enable the validity region for the SL resource pool configured via broadcast system information. Terminals are allowed to temporarily use terminal autonomous resource selection and select sidelink transmissions based on randomness.

[0244] As shown in Figure 1C, in some embodiments, a split architecture of access network devices is implemented, wherein the access network device (gNB)-centralized unit (CU)-control plane (CP) is responsible for radio resource control (RRC) and packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) control plane functions, the gNB-CU-user plane (UP) is responsible for general packet radio service tunneling protocol for the user plane (GTP-U), service data adaptation protocol (SDAP), and PDCP user plane functions, and the gNB-distributed unit (DU) is responsible for radio link control (RLC), media access control (MAC), and physical layer (PHY) functions.

[0245] In some embodiments, the gNB CU-CP and gNB CU-UP are connected via the E1 interface. The gNB CU-CP is connected to the gNB DU via the control plane corresponding to the F1 interface, i.e., F1-C. The gNB CU-UP is connected to the gNB DU via the user plane corresponding to the F1 interface, i.e., F1-U.

[0246] SL-PRS resource allocation is performed by the gNB-DU. The gNB-DU and the terminal can exchange information through lower layer signaling (for example, media access control (MAC) control element (CE), downlink control information (DCI)), etc., while the gNB-CU and the terminal can exchange information through RRC signaling. The gNB-CU can also exchange information with the location management function (LMF).

[0247] In related technologies, when the resource configuration information determined by the access network device is used by the terminal to select positioning resources, the terminal may not be able to select appropriate positioning resources, resulting in the terminal's SL positioning needs not being met and SL positioning failing.

[0248] Based on this, the embodiments of the present disclosure provide a resource configuration method, an access network device, a core network device, and a terminal. The method executed by the access network device includes: obtaining first indication information, wherein the first indication information includes at least one of the first information sent by the core network device and the second information sent by the terminal: wherein the second information is used to request resource configuration or to indicate resource usage status; determining resource configuration information based on the first indication information, wherein the resource configuration information is used by the terminal to select positioning resources for SL positioning. Thus, the access network device can determine the resource configuration information based on at least one of the first information of the core network device and the second information of the terminal, and the determined resource configuration information can meet the terminal's needs for SL positioning when used for the terminal to select positioning resources for SL positioning, thereby avoiding SL positioning failure.

[0249] FIG2A is an interactive diagram of a resource configuration method according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown in FIG2A , the embodiment of the present disclosure relates to a resource configuration method, which includes:

[0250] S201A, the access network device obtains first indication information, where the first indication information includes at least one of first information sent by the core network device and second information sent by the terminal.

[0251] In some embodiments, the access network device obtains the first indication information, including: receiving first information sent by the core network device.

[0252] In an embodiment of the present disclosure, the access network device obtains the first indication information. When the first indication information includes the first information sent by the core network device, the access network device can receive the first information sent by the core network device.

[0253] In some embodiments, the core network device is a location management function (LMF), but is not limited thereto and may also be other network functions.

[0254] In some embodiments, the core network device sends the first information to the access network device, so that the access network device obtains the first information.

[0255] In some embodiments, the first information includes at least one of the following:

[0256] Instructions for requesting resource configuration information;

[0257] The first sending cycle of resource configuration information;

[0258] The first sending start time of resource configuration information;

[0259] The first sending end time of the resource configuration information;

[0260] A first sending cell range of resource configuration information;

[0261] The first system information used to send resource configuration information.

[0262] In an embodiment of the present disclosure, an access network device receives first information sent by a core network device, and the first information includes an indication for requesting resource configuration information. Thus, the access network device can determine the resource configuration information based on the first information, and further send the determined resource configuration information to the core network device or terminal.

[0263] In some embodiments, the indication for requesting to obtain resource configuration information is used to request to obtain the configuration of shared resources, wherein the first information can be transmitted by non-terminal related signaling, for example, NRPPaTRP information request message.

[0264] In an embodiment of the present disclosure, an access network device receives first information sent by a core network device, where the first information includes a first sending period of resource configuration information. Thus, the access network device can determine the sending period of the resource configuration information based on the first sending period, and further determine the resource configuration information that meets the sending period requirements.

[0265] In an embodiment of the present disclosure, an access network device receives first information sent by a core network device, and the first information includes a first sending start time of resource configuration information. Thus, the access network device can determine the sending start time of the resource configuration information based on the first sending start time, and then determine the resource configuration information that meets the sending start time requirements.

[0266] In an embodiment of the present disclosure, an access network device receives first information sent by a core network device, and the first information includes a first sending end time of resource configuration information. Thus, the access network device can determine the sending end time of the resource configuration information based on the first sending end time, and further determine the resource configuration information that meets the sending end time requirements.

[0267] In an embodiment of the present disclosure, an access network device receives first information sent by a core network device, and the first information includes a first sending cell range of resource configuration information. Thus, the access network device can determine the sending cell range of the resource configuration information based on the first sending cell range, and further determine the resource configuration information that meets the sending cell range requirements.

[0268] In an embodiment of the present disclosure, an access network device receives first information sent by a core network device, and the first information includes first system information used to send resource configuration information. Thus, the access network device can determine the system information used to send resource configuration information based on the first system information used to send resource configuration information, and then use the determined system information to send the resource configuration information.

[0269] In some embodiments, the access network device obtains the first indication information, including: a first node of the access network device receives first information sent by the core network device.

[0270] In some embodiments, the access network device includes a separation architecture of a centralized unit (CU) and a distributed unit (DU), wherein the first node of the access network device is the CU.

[0271] It is understandable that the CU of the access network device can interact with the core network device.

[0272] In the embodiment of the present disclosure, the access network device obtains the first indication information, and the first node of the access network device, namely, the CU, receives the first information sent by the core network device.

[0273] In some embodiments, the access network device receives the first information sent by the core network device. It can receive the first information sent by the core network device using existing signaling or messages, or it can also receive the first information sent by the core network device using new signaling or messages.

[0274] In some embodiments, the access network device obtains the first indication information, including: receiving a first message sent by the core network device, wherein the first message includes first information, and the first message is a New Radio Positioning Protocol A NRPPa auxiliary information control message or an NRPPa SL-PRS auxiliary information control message.

[0275] In an embodiment of the present disclosure, an access network device receives a new radio (NR) NR positioning protocol A (NRPPa) auxiliary information control message sent by a core network device, wherein the NRPPa auxiliary information control message includes first information. Thus, the first information sent by the core network device is received.

[0276] In an embodiment of the present disclosure, an access network device receives an NRPPa SL-PRS auxiliary information control message sent by a core network device, wherein the NRPPa SL-PRS auxiliary information control message includes first information. Thus, the first information sent by the core network device is received.

[0277] It is understandable that the core network device may send the first information to the access network device by itself or when specific conditions are met.

[0278] Exemplarily, the core network device sends the first information to the access network device when determining the relevant information of the positioning resource desired by the terminal.

[0279] Exemplarily, when determining that the terminal desires positioning resources of a specific cell for SL positioning, the core network device sends first information of a first sending cell range including resource configuration information to the access network device.

[0280] Exemplarily, when determining the positioning resources required for the SL positioning requirements of one or more terminals, the core network device sends the first information to the access network device.

[0281] In some embodiments, a core network device receives a request message sent by a terminal and sends first information to an access network device, where the request message indicates that the terminal is requesting configuration information related to positioning resources for SL positioning. Thus, the core network device can determine the first information based on the request message from the terminal and send the first information to the access network device.

[0282] In some embodiments, the access network device obtains the first indication information, including: receiving second information sent by the terminal, wherein the second information is used to request resource configuration or to indicate resource usage status.

[0283] In the embodiment of the present disclosure, the access network device obtains the first indication information. When the first indication information includes the second information sent by the terminal, the access network device may receive the second information sent by the terminal.

[0284] In some embodiments, the terminal sends second information to the access network device. In a case where the second information is used to request resource configuration, the access network device may determine resource configuration information and then send the information to the terminal.

[0285] In some embodiments, the terminal sends second information to the access network device. When the second information is used to indicate the resource usage status, the access network device can determine resource configuration information based on the second information and then send it to the terminal.

[0286] In some embodiments, the terminal may report the second information to the access network device on its own, or may send the second information to the access network device based on an instruction of the access network device, or may send the second information to the access network device if specific conditions are met.

[0287] Exemplarily, when determining that the positioning resources currently used for SL positioning are occupied, the terminal sends second information to the access network device.

[0288] Exemplarily, when determining that the positioning resources currently used for SL positioning are busy, the terminal sends the second information to the access network device.

[0289] Exemplarily, when determining that there are no positioning resources currently used for SL positioning, the terminal sends second information to the access network device.

[0290] In some embodiments, the second information is used to indicate the resource usage status. Before the access network device receives the second information sent by the terminal, it also includes: the access network device sends the second indication information to the terminal, wherein the second indication information is used to instruct the terminal to report the resource usage status.

[0291] In some embodiments, the access network device sends second indication information to the terminal, instructing the terminal to report resource usage status. Thus, upon receiving the second indication information sent by the access network device, the terminal can determine the resource usage status and then send first information to the access network device, where the first information indicates the resource usage status.
