Abstract
Description
Communication method, device, equipment and storage medium
[0001] This application claims priority to the Chinese patent application filed with the State Intellectual Property Office of China on September 28, 2023, with application number 202311282548.5 and application name “Communication Method, Device, Equipment and Storage Medium”, the entire contents of which are incorporated by reference into this application. Technical Field
[0002] The present application belongs to the field of WIFI communication technology, and specifically relates to a communication method, apparatus, device and storage medium. Background Art
[0003] The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 802.11 Ultra High Reliability (UHR) must meet not only the requirements of ultra-high reliability but also the requirements of low latency traffic (LLT).
[0004] To meet LLT requirements, the length of each physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU) within a transmission opportunity (TXOP) can be limited, and a radio resource preemption mechanism can be added. This mechanism involves stations requiring LLT sending a preemption request signal to the access point during the interframe space (IFS) between PPDUs from other stations, thereby preempting radio resources for transmission. However, the configuration of the preemption request signal to implement this mechanism has not yet been determined.
[0005] Summary of the Invention
[0006] The present application relates to a communication method, apparatus, device and storage medium, and provides a specific preemption request signal to implement a wireless resource preemption mechanism.
[0007] In a first aspect, an embodiment of the present application provides a communication method, including:

[0075] To make the purpose, technical solutions, and advantages of the embodiments of this application more clear, the technical solutions in the embodiments of this application will be clearly and completely described below in conjunction with the drawings in the embodiments of this application. Obviously, the described embodiments are part of the embodiments of this application, not all of the embodiments. They are not in any particular order, do not represent a specific limit on the number of devices in the embodiments of this application, and do not constitute any limitation on the embodiments of this application. For example, the terms "first non-access point site" and "second non-access point site" are used solely to distinguish between different non-access point sites, and do not indicate a difference in priority or importance between the two non-access point sites.
[0078] Throughout this application, the terms "exemplary," "in some embodiments," and "in other embodiments" are used to indicate examples, illustrations, or descriptions. Any embodiment or design described in this application as "exemplary" should not be construed as preferred or advantageous over other embodiments or designs. Rather, the use of the word "exemplary" is intended to present concepts in a concrete manner.
[0079] The access point station (AP STA) in the embodiment of the present application can be referred to as AP for short; the non-access point station (non-AP STA) in the embodiment of the present application can be referred to as STA for short.
[0080] In order to explain this application more clearly, the relevant technologies involved in this application are first introduced below.
[0081] 1. Null data protocol data unit Feedback Report Poll (NFRP) process
[0082] The process by which an AP queries one or more STAs to determine whether the STA is within coverage and awake. After receiving a NERP trigger frame (TF), the STA replies with a Null Data Protocol Data Unit Feedback Report (NFR) on the resource unit (RU) allocated by the AP. The NFR can also indicate that the STA has uplink data to be sent.
[0083] 2. Buffer Status Report Poll (BSRP) Process
[0084] The process by which an AP queries one or more STAs to determine the amount of uplink data to be sent by the STA. After receiving the BSRP trigger frame, the STA replies with a data frame on the RU allocated by the AP. The Quality of Service (QoS) control field or the A control subfield of the data frame indicates the Buffer Status Report (BSR).
[0085] 3. Wireless resource preemption mechanism
[0086] In related technologies, UHR communication can meet LLT requirements through the following two methods.
[0087] Method 1: Limit the TXOP length so that stations with LLT requirements can obtain Enhanced Distributed Channel Access (EDCA) without having to wait for a long TXOP. Short TXOPs introduce significant EDCA overhead and increase the proportion of the physical layer header in the PPDU, reducing system efficiency.
[0088] Method 2: Limit the length of each PPDU within a TXOP and implement a mechanism for preempting radio resources between PPDUs. This mechanism involves stations requiring LLT sending a preemption request (PR) signal to the AP during the IFS between PPDUs within other stations' TXOPs, thereby preempting radio resources for transmission. This method only increases the proportion of the PHY header in the PPDU.
[0089] To facilitate understanding of the second method, the wireless resource preemption mechanism is described below with reference to FIG1 and FIG2 .
[0090] Figure 1 illustrates the downlink transmission process in related technologies. As shown in Figure 1, the AP sends a Request to Send (RTS) to STA1. After the RTS, STA1 sends a Clear to Send (CTS) to the AP after a short interframe space (SIFS). After the CTS, the AP sends a Downlink (DL) PPDU to STA1 after a SIFS interval, with each DL PPDU separated by an IFS.
[0091] Figure 2 illustrates a process flow for preempting uplink low-latency services during downlink transmission, as provided by related technologies. As shown in Figure 2, the AP sends an RTS to STA1, indicating that the STA is permitted to transmit a PR signal within xIFS within this TXOP. xIFS is a pending interframe space (IFS) to be defined. After the RTS, STA1 sends a CTS frame to the AP one SIFS later. After the CTS, the AP sends a DL PPDU to STA1 one SIFS later. The header of each DL PPDU indicates whether a PR signal is permitted at time Tp after the end of the frame. Tp is pending definition. During the transmission of the first DL PPDU, if STA2 and STA3 require low-latency data transmission, they can send a PR signal to the AP after the end of the first DL PPDU, after a duration of Tp. If the AP receives a PR signal within xIFS, it can, after the PR signal and SIFS later, send an NFRP trigger frame or NFR response to collect information about STAs that need to transmit uplink data. The AP then schedules uplink resources to the corresponding STA for transmission of a low-latency (LL) PPDU.
[0092] The above-mentioned wireless resource preemption mechanism does not specify the format of the PR signal, and if multiple STAs send PR signals to the AP at the same time, the AP must determine the STA that needs LLT through the NERP process.
[0093] In order to solve the above technical problems, the present application provides a communication method, which determines the specific format of the PR signal.
[0094] The technical solutions shown in this application are described in detail below through specific embodiments. It should be noted that the following embodiments can exist independently or in combination with each other, and the same or displayed content will not be repeated in different embodiments.
[0095] FIG3 is a flow chart of a communication method provided in an embodiment of the present application. As shown in FIG3 , the method includes:
[0096] S301: A second STA and an AP are transmitting a first PPDU.
[0097] The first PPDU may be a downlink PPDU sent by the AP to the second STA, or may be an uplink PPDU sent by the second STA to the AP.
[0098] When the second STA and the AP transmit the first PPDU, the first STA may receive part or all of the first PPDU and may determine the end time of the first PPDU based on the part or all of the first PPDU.
[0099] The portion of the first PPDU may refer to a header of the first PPDU.
[0100] In one possible implementation, the first STA may receive part or all of the first PPDU within the first transmission opportunity.
[0101] The first transmission opportunity can be a transmission opportunity of the AP or a transmission opportunity of the second STA; wherein the AP is connected to the first STA, and the second STA is another STA connected to the AP connected to the first STA, that is, the AP is connected to the first STA and the second STA, and the first STA is a sending device of the PR signal.
[0102] In a possible implementation, the first PPDU may be used to indicate that the PR signal is allowed to be sent within the first transmission opportunity.
[0103] The first PPDU can display a directional indication, that is, the first PPDU can be used to indicate that some first STAs are allowed to send PR signals within the first transmission opportunity; the first PPDU can also display a non-directional indication, that is, the first PPDU can be used to indicate that all first STAs that can receive the first PPDU are allowed to send PR signals within the first transmission opportunity; the first PPDU can also have an implicit indication, that is, the first PPDU can indicate that some first STAs are not allowed to send PR signals within the first transmission opportunity, which is equivalent to the first PPDU indicating that other first STAs except some first STAs are allowed to send PR signals within the first transmission opportunity.
[0104] Exemplarily, it may be indicated in the PHY SIG of the PPDU that the PR signal is allowed to be sent in the first transmission opportunity.
[0105] In a possible implementation, the first PPDU may also be used to indicate that the PR signal is not allowed to be sent in the first transmission opportunity.
[0106] The first PPDU may display a directional indication, that is, the first PPDU may directly indicate that some first STAs are not allowed to send PR signals within the first transmission opportunity; the first PPDU may also display a non-directional indication, that is, the first PPDU directly indicates that all first STAs that can receive the first PPDU are not allowed to send PR signals within the first transmission opportunity; the first PPDU may also have an implicit indication, that is, the first PPDU may indicate that some first STAs are allowed to send PR signals within the first transmission opportunity, which is equivalent to the first PPDU indicating that other first STAs except some first STAs are not allowed to send PR signals within the first transmission opportunity.
[0107] When a first STA finds that the first PPDU indicates that it is not allowed to send a PR signal in the first transmission opportunity, the first STA may enter a sleep state in the first transmission opportunity.
[0108] In one possible implementation, the AP may also send indication information (the first STA receives the indication information), which may indicate that the PR signal is allowed to be sent within the transmission opportunity of any station in the AP's basic service set (BSS), including the AP or the second STA.
[0109] The indication information may be carried by a beacon frame.
[0110] For example, the indication information may be carried by a UHR operation element in a beacon frame.
[0111] In a possible implementation, the first PPDU may also be used to indicate that a PR signal is allowed to be sent within a first IFS after the end of the first PPDU.
[0112] The first IFS is a Point Coordination Function Interframe Space (PIFS) or SIFS.
[0113] Exemplarily, it may be indicated in the PHY SIG of the PPDU that the PR signal is allowed to be sent within the first IFS after the end of the first PPDU.
[0114] In one possible implementation, if the first PPDU is used to indicate that a PR signal is allowed to be sent within the first transmission opportunity (referred to as the first indication information), and is also used to indicate that a PR signal is allowed to be sent within the first IFS after the end of the first PPDU (referred to as the second indication information), and the AP also sends indication information indicating that a PR signal is allowed to be sent within the transmission opportunity of any station within the AP's BSS (referred to as the third indication information), then the priority of the three types of indication information is the second indication information > the first indication information > the third indication information.
[0115] In a possible implementation, when a Medium Access Control Protocol Data Unit (MPDU) in a first PPDU requires confirmation or block confirmation, the first IFS is SIFS.
[0116] S302. At least one first STA sends a PR signal at a first moment after the first PPDU ends. The PR signal includes: a legacy short training field (Legacy Short Training Field, L-STF), a first sequence or a second sequence, where the second sequence is obtained by combining the L-STF and the first sequence.
[0117] In other words, the AP receives at least one PR signal after the first PPDU ends.
[0118] If at least one first STA sends a PR signal to the AP, and the PR signal is an L-STF, the AP may receive at least one identical PR signal, or only receive one PR signal.
[0119] For example, if three first STAs send PR signals to the AP, and the PR signals are L-STFs, the AP may receive three identical PR signals or one PR signal.
[0120] The first STA may refer to a STA with low-latency transmission requirements.
[0121] The number of the first STA may be one or more.
[0122] L-STF is a traditional short training field defined in IEEE802.11.
[0123] The L-STF occupies 8μs in the time domain, and its structure is shown in Figure 4.
[0124] In a possible implementation, the first sequence occupies X symbols in the time domain, where X is a positive integer and is predefined by a protocol or indicated by a first PPDU or a management frame.
[0125] For example, X may be indicated by the PHY SIG of the first PPDU.
[0126] The management frame may be a beacon frame or an association response frame, etc.
[0127] Each symbol may occupy 4 μs in the time domain, 4 μs=3.2 μs symbol+0.8 μs guard interval.
[0128] In a possible implementation, X may be 1 or 2. That is, the first sequence may occupy 4 μs or 8 μs in the time domain.
[0129] When the first sequence occupies 4 μs in the time domain, the second sequence occupies 12 μs in the time domain; when the first sequence occupies 8 μs in the time domain, the second sequence occupies 16 μs in the time domain.
[0130] If the length of the PR signal in the time domain is less than or equal to 8μs, there is no need for the first PPDU indication to allow the preemption request signal to be sent within the first IFS after the end of the first PPDU. If the length of the PR signal in the time domain is greater than 8μs, the first PPDU indication is required to allow the preemption request signal to be sent within the first IFS after the end of the first PPDU.
[0131] If the length of the PR signal in the time domain is less than or equal to 8 μs, the first STA may send the PR signal in the first transmission opportunity regardless of whether the MPDU in the first PPDU requires immediate ACK or block ACK.
[0132] In a possible implementation, the first sequence may occupy 20 MHz in the frequency domain, that is, 52 subcarriers. When the bandwidth exceeds 20 MHz, the signal on the main 20 MHz is repeated on the non-main 20 MHz.
[0133] In a possible implementation, the first sequence may be modulated onto a carrier using Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM).
[0134] For example, when X is 1, the first sequence occupies 4 μs in the time domain, the length of the first sequence is 48, the first sequence can be modulated onto 48 subcarriers, and the remaining 4 subcarriers can be used for pilots; when X is 2, the first sequence occupies 8 μs in the time domain, the length of the first sequence is 96, the first sequence can be modulated onto 96 subcarriers, and the remaining 8 subcarriers can be used for pilots.
[0135] In a possible implementation, the first sequence may be one of the following sequences: a ZC sequence, a gold sequence, an M sequence, or a Walsh sequence.
[0136] It should be noted that the present application does not limit the specific form of the first sequence, as long as the first sequence meets the following characteristics: when multiple first sequences are sent together by different STAs in the air, the AP can receive multiple first sequences at the same time.
[0137] In a possible implementation, when the PR signal is a first sequence, the first STA may obtain the first sequence in the following manner:
[0138] The first STA sends an association request to the AP, where the association request includes a low-latency service requirement indication. The AP configures a first sequence for the first STA based on the service requirement of the first STA, and sends configuration information to the first STA, where the configuration information includes the first sequence.
[0139] The AP may configure different first sequences for different STAs, so that the AP can determine the STA that sends the PR signal based on the sequence of the PR signal, without having to determine the STA that sends the PR signal through the NERP process or the BSRP process.
[0140] After the AP configures the first sequence for the STA, the preemption request signal sent by the STA to the AP may be in the first sequence or the second sequence.
[0141] If the AP configures the same first sequence to multiple STAs, these multiple STAs send preemption request signals to the AP, and the preemption request signals include the first sequence (that is, the preemption request signal is the first sequence or the second sequence). The AP can receive multiple identical preemption request signals, or the AP only receives one preemption request signal.
[0142] For example, the first sequence configured by the AP for STA1 is sequence 1, and the first sequence configured for STA2 and STA3 is sequence 2. When STA1, STA2, and STA3 send PR signals to the AP, the PR signals include the first sequence. The AP can receive three PR signals, which consist of one PR signal whose first sequence is sequence 1 and two PR signals whose first sequence is sequence 2. Alternatively, the AP can also receive two PR signals, and the first sequences of the two PR signals are sequence 1 and sequence 2, respectively.
[0143] In a possible implementation, if the first IFS is SIFS, the PR signal may include L-STF or the first sequence.
[0144] In a possible implementation, the first time may be within a first transmission opportunity, that is, at least one first STA sends a PR signal within the first transmission opportunity, and the AP receives the PR signal within the first transmission opportunity.
[0145] In a possible implementation, the first time may be located within the first IFS after the end of the first PPDU.
[0146] In a possible implementation, the time interval between the first moment and the end moment of the first PPDU is 4 μs.
[0147] In one possible implementation, for any preemption request signal received by the AP, if the PR signal is L-STF, the AP needs to perform an NFRP process or a BSRP process with all STAs in the AP's BSS or all STAs whose association requests include a low-latency service requirement indication to determine the STA that sends the PR signal.
[0148] For example, the BSS of the AP includes 5 first STAs and 5 other STAs, and the 5 first STAs are respectively the first STA1, the first STA2, the first STA3, the first STA4 and the first STA5; if two first STAs send PR signals to the AP, the PR signals are L-STF; after the AP receives the PR signal, it does not know which STAs sent the PR signal, and it needs to perform the NFRP process or the BSRP process with the 5 first STAs and the 5 other STAs, or perform the NFRP process or the BSRP process with the 5 first STAs to determine the STA that sends the PR signal.
[0149] If the AP receives multiple identical PR signals, and the PR signals are L-STF, for these multiple identical PR signals, the AP only needs to perform one NFRP process or BSRP process with all STAs in the AP's BSS or all STAs whose association requests include a low-latency service requirement indication to determine the STA that sends the PR signal.
[0150] In one possible implementation, if the PR signal is a first sequence or a second sequence, and the first sequence or the second sequence used by each first STA is different, then if p first STAs send PR signals and the AP receives p different PR signals, where p is a positive integer, the AP can determine the first STA that sends the PR signal based on the sequence of each PR signal.
[0151] In one possible implementation, for any PR signal received by the AP, the PR signal is the first sequence or the second sequence. If the AP configures the first sequence included in the PR signal to N STAs, the AP needs to perform an NFRP process or a BSRP process with the N STAs to determine the STA that sends the PR signal, where N is a positive integer greater than or equal to 2.
[0152] For example, the AP is connected to 5 first STAs, which are the first STA1, the first STA2, the first STA3, the first STA4 and the first STA5; according to the low-latency service requirements of the 5 first STAs, the AP configures the first sequence of the first STA1 as sequence 1, the first sequence of the first STA2 as sequence 2, and the first sequence of the first STA3, the first STA4 and the first STA5 as sequence 3; if the first STA1, the first STA2, the first STA3 and the first STA4 all send PR signals to the AP, the AP can determine that the first STA1 and the first STA2 sent the PR signals based on the received PR signals, but for the PR signals with the first sequence of sequence 3, the AP does not know which STAs sent them. At this time, the AP needs to perform an NFRP process or a BSRP process with the first STA3, the first STA4 and the first STA5 to determine the STA that sent the PR signal with the first sequence of sequence 3.
[0153] If the AP receives multiple identical PR signals, the PR signals include a first sequence, and the first sequence is configured for N STAs, the AP only needs to perform one NFRP process or BSRP process with the N STAs for these multiple identical PR signals to determine the STA that sent the PR signal.
[0154] Based on the embodiment shown in FIG3 , the process of this application is described in detail below with reference to specific examples.
[0155] FIG5 is a second flow chart of a communication method provided by an embodiment of the present application. As shown in FIG5 , taking the PR signal as the first sequence as an example, the method includes:
[0156] The AP sends a DL PPDU to STA1 (the second STA) within its own transmission opportunity. The PHY SIG of the DL PPDU indicates that the PR signal is allowed to be sent within the AP's transmission opportunity. It also indicates that the PR signal is allowed to be sent within the first IFS after the end of the DL PPDU. The first IFS is PIFS or SIFS.
[0157] During the DL PPDU transmission process, STA2 and STA3 (first STA) have low-latency service data to transmit to the AP; STA2 and STA3 receive part or all of the DL PPDU within the AP's transmission opportunity, and determine the end time of the DL PPDU based on part or all of the DL PPDU; STA2 and STA3 send PR signals to the AP at the first moment after the end time of the DL PPDU. The first sequences of the two PR signals occupy 4*Xμs in the time domain, where X is 1 or 2. The first sequences of the two PR signals are different, and the time interval between the first moment and the end time of the DL PPDU is 4μs.
[0158] After receiving two different PR signals within its own transmission opportunity, the AP determines that STA2 and STA3 are sending the PR signals based on the sequence of the PR signals, and sends a trigger frame to STA2 and / or STA3. The time interval between the time of sending the trigger frame and the end time of the PR signal is less than or equal to 16 μs.
[0159] After receiving the trigger frame, STA2 and / or STA3 send uplink low-latency data to the AP; after receiving the low-latency data, the AP sends a block acknowledgment (BA) to STA2 and / or STA3, and continues to send a DL PPDU to STA1 after an interval of SIFS. The PHY SIG of the DL PPDU indicates that the PR signal is allowed to be sent within the AP's transmission opportunity, and also indicates that the PR signal is not allowed to be sent within the first IFS after the end of the DL PPDU.
[0160] In the embodiment shown in Figure 5, the PR signal uses a first sequence, and the AP can determine the STA that sent the PR signal based on the first sequence of the PR signal. If the AP configures the same first sequence for multiple STAs, when the AP receives a PR signal with the first sequence, it can perform an NFRP or BSRP process with the multiple STAs to determine the STA that sent the PR signal.
[0161] FIG6 is a flow chart of a communication method according to an embodiment of the present application. As shown in FIG6 , taking the PR signal as L-STF as an example, the method includes:
[0162] The AP sends a DL PPDU to STA1 (the second STA) within its own transmission opportunity. The PHY SIG of the DL PPDU indicates that the PR signal is allowed to be sent within the AP's transmission opportunity. It also indicates that the PR signal is allowed to be sent within the first IFS after the end of the DL PPDU. The first IFS is PIFS or SIFS.
[0163] During the DL PPDU transmission process, STA2 and STA3 (first STA) have low-latency service data to transmit to the AP; STA2 and STA3 receive part or all of the DL PPDU within the AP's transmission opportunity, and determine the end time of the DL PPDU based on part or all of the DL PPDU; STA2 and STA3 send a PR signal to the AP at the first moment after the end time of the DL PPDU. The PR signal is L-STF, and the L-STF occupies 8μs in the time domain. The time interval between the first moment and the end time of the DL PPDU is 4μs.
[0164] After the AP receives the PR signal within its own transmission opportunity, in order to determine the STA that sent the PR signal, the AP performs a BSRP process (or NFRP process) on all STAs in the AP's BSS or all STAs whose association requests include a low-latency service requirement indication, determines that the STAs that sent the PR signal are STA2 and STA3, and sends a trigger frame to STA2 and / or STA3; wherein the time interval between the BSRP sending time and the end time of the PR signal is less than or equal to 16μs.
[0165] After receiving the trigger frame, STA2 and / or STA3 send uplink low-latency data to the AP; after receiving the low-latency data, the AP sends a BA to STA2 and / or STA3, and continues to send a DL PPDU to STA1 after an interval of SIFS. The PHY SIG of the DL PPDU indicates that the PR signal is allowed to be sent within the AP's transmission opportunity, and also indicates that the PR signal is not allowed to be sent within the first IFS after the end of the DL PPDU.
[0166] In the embodiment shown in FIG6 , the PR signal adopts L-STF, and the AP may determine the STA to send the PR signal according to the BSRP process or the NFRP process.
[0167] FIG7 is a fourth flow chart of a communication method provided by an embodiment of the present application. As shown in FIG7 , taking the PR signal as the first sequence and the BA after the first PPDU at an interval of SIFS as an example, the method includes:
[0168] The AP sends a DL PPDU (first PPDU) to STA1 (second STA) within its own transmission opportunity. The PHY SIG of the DL PPDU indicates that the PR signal is allowed to be sent within the AP's transmission opportunity. It also indicates that the PR signal is allowed to be sent within the first IFS after the end of the DL PPDU. The first IFS is SIFS.
[0169] During the DL PPDU transmission process, STA2 and STA3 (first STA) have low-latency service data to transmit to the AP; STA2 and STA3 receive part or all of the DL PPDU within the AP's transmission opportunity, and determine the end time of the DL PPDU based on part or all of the DL PPDU; STA2 and STA3 send PR signals to the AP at the first moment after the end time of the DL PPDU. The first sequences of the two PR signals occupy 4*Xμs in the time domain, where X is 1 or 2. The first sequences of the two PR signals are different, and the time interval between the first moment and the end time of the DL PPDU is 4μs.
[0170] After the DL PPDU ends, STA1 sends a BA to the AP every SIFS. If X is 1, that is, the first sequence of the two PR signals occupies 4 μs in the time domain, then the interval between the BA transmission time and the PR end time is 8 μs. If X is 2, that is, the first sequence of the two PR signals occupies 8 μs in the time domain, then the interval between the BA transmission time and the PR end time is 4 μs.
[0171] After receiving two different PR signals in its own transmission opportunity, the AP determines that the PR signals are sent by STA2 and STA3 according to the sequence of the PR signals, and sends a trigger frame to STA2 and / or STA3.
[0172] After receiving the trigger frame, STA2 and / or STA3 send uplink low-latency data to the AP; after receiving the low-latency data, the AP sends a BA to STA2 and / or STA3, and continues to send a DL PPDU to STA1 after an interval of SIFS. The PHY SIG of the DL PPDU indicates that the PR signal is allowed to be sent within the AP's transmission opportunity, and also indicates that the PR signal is not allowed to be sent within the first IFS after the end of the DL PPDU.
[0173] In the embodiment shown in FIG7 , the PR signal adopts a first sequence, and the first IFS is SIFS. As long as the length of the PR signal in the time domain is less than or equal to 8 μs, the first STA can send the PR signal within the transmission opportunity of the AP. The AP can determine the STA that sends the PR signal based on the first sequence of the PR signal.
[0174] FIG8 is a flow chart of a communication method according to an embodiment of the present application. As shown in FIG8 , taking the PR signal as the second sequence as an example, the method includes:
[0175] The AP sends a DL PPDU to STA1 (the second STA) in its own transmission opportunity. The PHY SIG of the DL PPDU indicates that the PR signal is allowed to be sent in the AP's transmission opportunity and also indicates that the PR signal is allowed to be sent in the first IFS after the end of the DL PPDU. The first IFS is PIFS.
[0176] During the DL PPDU transmission process, STA2 and STA3 (first STA) have low-latency service data to transmit to the AP; STA2 and STA3 receive part or all of the DL PPDU within the AP's transmission opportunity, and determine the end time of the DL PPDU based on part or all of the DL PPDU; STA2 and STA3 send PR signals to the AP at the first moment after the end time of the DL PPDU, and the second sequences of the two PR signals occupy 8+4*Xμs in the time domain, where X is 1 or 2. The second sequences of the two PR signals are different (that is, the first sequences constituting the second sequence are different), and the time interval between the first moment and the end time of the DL PPDU is 4μs.
[0177] After receiving two different PR signals within its own transmission opportunity, the AP determines that STA2 and STA3 are sending the PR signals based on the sequence of the PR signals, and sends a trigger frame to STA2 and / or STA3. The time interval between the time of sending the trigger frame and the end time of the PR signal is less than or equal to 16 μs.
[0178] After receiving the trigger frame, STA2 and / or STA3 send uplink low-latency data to the AP; after receiving the low-latency data, the AP sends a block acknowledgment (BA) to STA2 and / or STA3, and continues to send a DL PPDU to STA1 after an interval of SIFS. The PHY SIG of the DL PPDU indicates that the PR signal is allowed to be sent within the AP's transmission opportunity, and also indicates that the PR signal is not allowed to be sent within the first IFS after the end of the DL PPDU.
[0179] In the embodiment shown in Figure 8, the PR signal uses a second sequence (combined from the L-STF and the first sequence). The AP can determine the STA that sent the PR signal based on the second sequence of the PR signal. If the AP configures the same first sequence for multiple STAs, when the AP receives a PR signal containing the first sequence, it can perform an NFRP or BSRP process with the multiple STAs to determine the STA that sent the PR signal.
[0180] FIG9 is a sixth flow chart of a communication method provided in an embodiment of the present application. As shown in FIG9 , taking the PR signal as the first sequence as an example, the method includes:
[0181] STA1 (second STA) sends UL PPDU to AP in its own transmission opportunity. The PHY SIG of UL PPDU indicates that PR signal can be sent in STA1's transmission opportunity. It also indicates that PR signal can be sent in the first IFS after the end of UL PPDU. The first IFS is SIFS.
[0182] During UL PPDU transmission, STA2 and STA3 (the first STA) have low-latency service data to transmit to the AP. STA2 and STA3 receive part or all of the UL PPDU during STA1's transmission opportunity and determine the end time of the UL PPDU based on the part or all of the UL PPDU. STA2 and STA3 send PR signals to the AP at the first moment after the end time of the UL PPDU. The first sequences of the two PR signals occupy 4*Xμs in the time domain, where X is 1 or 2. The first sequences of the two PR signals are different, and the time interval between the first moment and the end time of the UL PPDU is 4μs.
[0183] After receiving two different PR signals during STA1's transmission opportunity, the AP sends a BA to STA1 during STA1's transmission opportunity. The BA instructs STA1 to cease subsequent transmission, and its transmission opportunity is preempted by the AP. If X is 1, meaning the first sequence of the two PR signals occupies 4 μs in the time domain, the interval between the BA transmission time and the end of the PR is 8 μs. If X is 2, meaning the first sequence of the two PR signals occupies 8 μs in the time domain, the interval between the BA transmission time and the end of the PR is 4 μs. Based on the PR signal sequence, the AP determines that STA2 and STA3 are sending the PR signals and sends a trigger frame to STA2 and / or STA3 during the AP's transmission opportunity.
[0184] After receiving the trigger frame, STA2 and / or STA3 sends uplink low-latency data to the AP; after receiving the low-latency data, the AP sends a BA to STA2 and / or STA3.
[0185] In the embodiment shown in FIG9 , the PR signal adopts the first sequence, and the first transmission opportunity is the transmission opportunity of the second STA. As long as the length of the PR signal in the time domain is less than or equal to 8 μs, the first STA can send a preemption request signal within the transmission opportunity of the second STA.
