Abstract
Description
Terminal
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a terminal mounted on a small unmanned aerial vehicle.
[0002] The 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP: registered trademark) is developing specifications for the 5th generation mobile communication system (5G, also known as New Radio (NR) or Next Generation (NG)), and is also developing specifications for the next generation, known as Beyond 5G, 5G Evolution, or 6G.
[0003] For example, in order to support small unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs: Uncrewed Aerial Vehicles), such as drones equipped with a wireless communication module similar to that of a terminal (User Equipment, UE), it has been agreed to introduce measurement reports (MR) according to the altitude of the UAV (UE) (Non-Patent Document 1).
[0004] Additionally, for UAVs, conditional handover (CHO), which allows a user equipment (UE)-initiated handover to be performed when a specific execution condition is met, and functional extensions to lower layer triggered mobility (LTM), a technology related to the mobility of user equipment (UE) in layer 1 or layer 2, are also being considered (Non-Patent Document 2).

[0006] However, the current LTM does not take into account the altitude at which the UAV (UE) is located or the flight path of the UAV (UE), making it difficult to apply the current CHO regulations directly to UAVs (UE).
[0007] Therefore, the following disclosure has been made in consideration of this situation, and aims to provide a terminal that can realize appropriate LTM according to the characteristics of a UAV.

[0009] One aspect of the present disclosure is a terminal (UE200) that includes a receiving unit (control signal / reference signal processing unit 240) that receives a configuration message related to a conditional handover, and a control unit (control unit 270) that executes the conditional handover when the execution conditions for the conditional handover are met, and the control unit determines whether the execution conditions are met based on information about the flight path of the terminal and the location of a candidate cell to which the handover is to be performed.

[0017] (1) Overall Schematic Configuration of Wireless Communication System Fig. 1 is an overall schematic configuration diagram of a wireless communication system 10 according to an embodiment. The wireless communication system 10 is a wireless communication system conforming to 5G New Radio (NR) and includes a Next Generation-Radio Access Network 20 (hereinafter, NG-RAN 20) and a terminal 200 (hereinafter, UE 200).
[0018] The wireless communication system 10 may be a wireless communication system conforming to a system called Beyond 5G, 5G Evolution, or 6G.
[0019] The NG-RAN 20 includes radio base station 100A (hereinafter, gNB100A) to radio base station 100D (hereinafter, gNB100D). The gNBs 100A to 100D have cells C1 to C4, respectively. Note that the specific configuration of the wireless communication system 10, including the number of gNBs and UEs, is not limited to the example shown in FIG. 1 .
[0020] The NG-RAN 20 actually includes a plurality of NG-RAN nodes, specifically, gNBs (or ng-eNBs), and is connected to a 5G-compliant core network (5GC, not shown). The NG-RAN 20 and the 5GC may be simply referred to as a "network."
[0021] The gNB100A to gNB100D are radio base stations conforming to 5G, and perform 5G radio communication with the UE 200. The gNB100A to gNB100D and the UE 200 are capable of supporting Massive MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output), which generates a more directional beam (BM) by controlling radio signals transmitted from multiple antenna elements, Carrier Aggregation (CA), which aggregates and uses multiple component carriers (CCs), and Dual Connectivity (DC), which simultaneously communicates on two or more transport blocks between the UE and each of two NG-RAN nodes.
[0022] The UE 200 may be a UE mounted on a small unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV: Uncrewed Aerial Vehicle or Unmanned Aerial Vehicle). The UE 200 mounted on a UAV or a UAV may be referred to as an NR drone. The UE 200 may also be referred to as a normal UE, a vehicle UE, an IAB (Integrated Access and Backhaul) UE (including an airborne IAB UE), a HAPS (High Altitude Platform Station) UE, an NTN (Non Terrestrial Network) UE, etc.
[0023] gNB100A to gNB100D (hereinafter referred to as gNB100 as appropriate) can transmit multiple beams with different transmission directions (which may also be simply referred to as directions, or radiation directions, or coverage) in space and time division. Note that gNB100 may transmit multiple beams simultaneously.
[0024] The wireless communication system 10 may also support multiple frequency ranges (FR) as follows:
[0025] ・FR1: 410 MHz to 7.125 GHz ・FR2-1: 24.25 GHz to 52.6 GHz FR1 may use a sub-carrier spacing (SCS) of 15, 30, or 60 kHz and a bandwidth (BW) of 5 to 100 MHz. FR2-1 is a higher frequency than FR1 and may use a sub-carrier spacing (SCS) of 60 or 120 kHz (including 240 kHz) and a bandwidth (BW) of 50 to 400 MHz.
[0026] Note that SCS may be interpreted as numerology, which is defined in 3GPP TS38.300 and corresponds to one subcarrier spacing in the frequency domain.
[0027] Furthermore, the wireless communication system 10 also supports a frequency band higher than the FR2-1 frequency band. Specifically, the wireless communication system 10 supports a frequency band exceeding 52.6 GHz up to 71 GHz. Such a high frequency band may be referred to as FR2-2.
[0028] When using bands above 52.6 GHz, Cyclic Prefix-Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (CP-OFDM) / Discrete Fourier Transform - Spread (DFT-S-OFDM) with larger Sub-Carrier Spacing (SCS) may be applied.
[0029] Additionally, as mentioned above, in high frequency bands such as FR2-2, increased inter-carrier phase noise becomes an issue, which may necessitate the application of a larger (wider) SCS or a single-carrier waveform.
[0030] The larger the SCS, the shorter the symbol / cyclic prefix (CP) period and slot period (assuming a 14 symbol / slot configuration is maintained). Figure 2 shows an example of the configuration of radio frames, subframes, and slots used in the wireless communication system 10.
[0031] If the 14-symbol / slot configuration is maintained, the larger (wider) the SCS, the shorter the symbol period (and slot period). The symbol period may also be called the symbol length, time direction, or time domain. The frequency direction may also be called the frequency domain, resource block, subcarrier, BWP (Bandwidth part), etc.
[0032] The frequency resources may include component carriers (CCs), subcarriers, resource blocks (RBs), resource block groups (RBGs), bandwidth parts (BWPs), etc. The time resources may include symbols, slots, minislots, subframes, radio frames, discontinuous reception (DRX) periods, etc.
[0033] The number of symbols constituting one slot does not necessarily have to be 14 (for example, 28 or 56 symbols). Also, the number of slots per subframe may differ depending on the SCS.
[0034] The wireless communication system 10 may use an SSB (SS / PBCH Block) that is configured from a synchronization signal (SS) and a downlink physical broadcast channel (PBCH).
[0035] SSBs are transmitted periodically from the network mainly to allow UE 200 to detect cell IDs and reception timings when starting communication. In NR, SSBs are also used to measure the reception quality of each cell. The SSB transmission periodicity may be specified as 5, 10, 20, 40, 80, 160 milliseconds, etc. Note that the initial access UE 200 may assume a transmission period of 20 milliseconds.
[0036] The UE 200 transmits a measurement report (hereinafter, referred to as a Measurement report) including reception qualities for cells including a serving cell and neighboring cells to the network. The procedure by which the UE 200 transmits the Measurement report may be referred to as Measurement reporting. The reception qualities for the cells may include reception qualities of beams from the cells, or may include reception qualities of cells based on beams from the cells.
[0037] The UE 200 may perform measurement reporting periodically. The UE 200 may perform measurement reporting for each event. An entering condition for starting measurement reporting and a leaving condition for ending measurement reporting may be defined for each event. Existing events may include the following events (see 3GPP TS38.331):
[0038] (i) Event A1 Event A1 is an event in which the reception quality of the serving cell becomes better than a threshold. For example, the entering condition is Ms - Hys > Thresh, and the leaving condition is Ms + Hys < Thresh.
[0039] Here, Ms is the reception quality of the serving cell, Hys is a hysteresis parameter, and Thresh is a threshold value.
[0040] (ii) Event A2 Event A2 is an event in which the reception quality of the serving cell becomes worse than a threshold. For example, the entering condition is Ms + Hys < Thresh, and the leaving condition is Ms - Hys > Thresh.
[0041] Here, Ms is the reception quality of the serving cell, Hys is a hysteresis parameter, and Thresh is a threshold value.
[0042] (iii) Event A3 Event A3 is an event in which the reception quality of a neighboring cell is better than the reception quality of the serving cell by an offset. For example, the entering condition is Mn + Ofn + Ocn - Hys > Mp + Ofp + Ocp + Off, and the leaving condition is Mn + Ofn + Ocn + Hys < Mp + Ofp + Ocp + Off.
[0043] where Mn is the reception quality of the neighboring cell, Ofn is the offset specific to the measurement object, and Ocn is the offset specific to the cell. Mp is the reception quality of the serving cell, Ofp is the offset specific to the measurement object, and Ocp is the offset specific to the cell. Hys is the hysteresis parameter, and Off is the parameter used in Event A3.
[0044] (iv) Event A4 Event A4 is an event in which the reception quality of a neighboring cell becomes better than a threshold. For example, the entering condition is Mn + Ofn + Ocn - Hys > Thresh, and the leaving condition is Mn + Ofn + Ocn + Hys < Thresh.
[0045] where Mn is the reception quality of the neighboring cell, Ofn is an offset specific to the measurement object, Ocn is an offset specific to the cell, Hys is a hysteresis parameter, and Thresh is a threshold value.
[0046] (v) Event A5 Event A5 is an event in which the reception quality of the serving cell becomes worse than a threshold and the reception quality of a neighboring cell becomes better than a threshold. For example, the entering condition is Mp + Hys < Thresh1 and Mn + Ofn + Ocn - Hys > Thresh2, and the leaving condition is Mp - Hys > Thresh1 and Mn + Ofn + Ocn + Hys < Thresh2.
[0047] where Ms is the receiving quality of the serving cell, Hys is a hysteresis parameter, Thresh1 is a threshold, Mn is the receiving quality of the neighboring cell, Ofn is a measurement object-specific offset, and Ocn is a cell-specific offset, Hys is a hysteresis parameter, and Thresh2 is a threshold.
[0048] (vi) Event A6 Event A6 is an event in which the reception quality of a neighboring cell is better than the reception quality of a SCell (Secondary Cell) by an offset. For example, the entering condition is Mn + Ocn - Hys > Ms + Ocs + Off, and the leaving condition is Mn + Ocn + Hys < Ms + Ocs + Off.
[0049] In addition to the events described above, events related to RATs (Radio Access technologies) (e.g., B1 (Inter RAT neighbor becomes better than threshold), B2 (Serving becomes worse than threshold1 and inter RAT neighbor becomes better than threshold2)) may be included.
[0050] Here, Mn is the reception quality of the neighboring cell, Ocn is a cell-specific offset, Ms is the reception quality of the SCell, Ocs is a cell-specific offset, Hys is a hysteresis parameter, and Off is a parameter used in Event A6.
[0051] Also, in the present embodiment, as will be described later, an event corresponding to the altitude at which the UE 200 is located (also simply referred to as the altitude of the UE 200) may be set. The event may be a conditional event (CondEvent), or a plurality of thresholds corresponding to the altitude of the UE 200 (for example, H1, H2, H1 < H2) may be applied.
[0052] Further, in the radio communication system 10, conditional handover (CHO: Conditional Handover) may be supported. In CHO, for the UE 200, a handover candidate cell and an execution condition for handover (which may also be referred to as transition) to the candidate cell are set in advance.
[0053] As a result, the UE 200 can perform handover to a target radio base station (which may also be referred to as a target cell) without waiting for a handover instruction from the network.
[0054] CHO may be interpreted as a handover executed by the UE 200 when one or more execution conditions are satisfied. When the UE 200 receives the CHO setting, it may start evaluating the execution conditions and stop evaluating the execution conditions when a handover (legacy handover or conditional handover) is executed.
[0055] A candidate gNB or a potential target gNB may provide the CHO setting to the UE 200. The source gNB may also provide execution conditions such as the timing for triggering CHO to the UE 200. The execution conditions may be constituted by one or two or more trigger conditions.
[0056] Also, for evaluating the CHO execution conditions of the candidate cell, two or more different triggers, for example, RSRP (Reference Signal Received Power), RSRQ (Reference Signal Received Quality), SINR (Signal-to-Interference plus Noise power Ratio), etc., may be set simultaneously.
[0057] It should be noted that if CHO is configured in UE200 and UE200 receives another handover (HO) command from the gNB before the CHO execution condition is met, UE200 may trigger handover based on the received HO command and may not wait for the CHO condition to be met. In other words, the legacy HO configuration may take precedence over the CHO configuration (if configured).
[0058] In addition, in the wireless communication system 10, in addition to mobility management of the UE 200 at layer 3 (which may include, for example, a radio resource control layer (RRC)) (which may be called L3 mobility), mobility management at layer 1 / layer 2 (which may include, for example, a medium access control layer (MAC)) (which may be called LTM or L1 / L2 mobility) may be applied.
[0059] L3 Mobility may be interpreted as mobility control at the Radio Resource Control layer (RRC), while LTM may be interpreted as mobility control at the Physical layer (PHY), Medium Access Control layer (MAC), Radio Link Control layer (RLC), and Packet Data Convergence Protocol layer (PDCP).
[0060] (2) Functional Block Configuration of Wireless Communication System Next, a functional block configuration of the wireless communication system 10 will be described. Specifically, a functional block configuration of the UE 200 will be described. Fig. 3 is a functional block configuration diagram of the gNB 100 and the UE 200.
[0061] As shown in FIG. 3 , the UE 200 includes a radio signal transmitting / receiving unit 210, an amplifier unit 220, a modulation / demodulation unit 230, a control signal / reference signal processing unit 240, an encoding / decoding unit 250, a data transmitting / receiving unit 260, and a control unit 270.
[0062] It should be noted that Fig. 3 shows only the main functional blocks relevant to the description of the embodiment, and that the UE 200 (gNB 100) has other functional blocks (e.g., a power supply unit, etc.). Fig. 3 shows the functional block configuration of the UE 200, and for the hardware configuration, please refer to Fig. 12.
[0063] The radio signal transmitting and receiving unit 210 transmits and receives radio signals conforming to NR. The radio signal transmitting and receiving unit 210 can support Massive MIMO, which generates a more directional beam by controlling radio (RF) signals transmitted from multiple antenna elements, Carrier Aggregation (CA), which aggregates and uses multiple component carriers (CCs), and Dual Connectivity (DC), which simultaneously communicates between a UE and two NG-RAN nodes.
[0064] The amplifier unit 220 is configured by a PA (Power Amplifier) / LNA (Low Noise Amplifier), etc. The amplifier unit 220 amplifies the signal output from the modulation / demodulation unit 230 to a predetermined power level. The amplifier unit 220 also amplifies the RF signal output from the radio signal transmission / reception unit 210.
[0065] The modem unit 230 performs data modulation / demodulation, transmission power setting, resource block allocation, etc. for each predetermined communication destination (e.g., gNB 100). The modem unit 230 may apply Cyclic Prefix-Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (CP-OFDM) / Discrete Fourier Transform - Spread (DFT-S-OFDM). Furthermore, DFT-S-OFDM may be used not only for the uplink (UL) but also for the downlink (DL).
[0066] The control signal and reference signal processor 240 executes processing related to various control signals transmitted and received by the UE 200 and processing related to various reference signals transmitted and received by the UE 200 .
[0067] Specifically, the control signal / reference signal processing unit 240 receives various control signals, for example, control signals of a radio resource control layer (RRC), transmitted via a predetermined control channel from the gNB 100. In addition, the control signal / reference signal processing unit 240 transmits various control signals to the gNB 100 via a predetermined control channel.
[0068] The control signal and reference signal processor 240 performs processing using reference signals (RS) such as a Demodulation Reference Signal (DMRS) and a Tracking Reference Signal (TRS).
[0069] DMRS is a terminal-specific reference signal (pilot signal) known between the base station and the terminal to estimate the fading channel used for data demodulation, while PTRS is a terminal-specific reference signal intended to estimate phase noise, which is an issue in high frequency bands.
[0070] In addition to DMRS and TRS, the reference signals may also include a Channel State Information-Reference Signal (CSI-RS), a Sounding Reference Signal (SRS), and a Positioning Reference Signal (PRS) for position information.
[0071] The channels include a control channel and a data channel. The control channels may include a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH), a Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH), a Random Access Channel (RACH, Downlink Control Information (DCI) including a Random Access Radio Network Temporary Identifier (RA-RNTI)), a Physical Broadcast Channel (PBCH), etc.
[0072] Furthermore, the data channel includes a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) and a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH), etc. Data may refer to data transmitted via a data channel.
[0073] The control signal and reference signal processor 240 may receive a configuration message related to conditional handover (CHO). In this embodiment, the control signal and reference signal processor 240 may configure a receiver that receives the configuration message related to CHO. Specifically, the control signal and reference signal processor 240 may receive an RRC layer reconfiguration message (RRCReconfiguration) related to CHO.
[0074] The control signal and reference signal processor 240 may transmit a measurement report including reception qualities of cells including the serving cell and neighboring cells to the network. Specifically, the control signal and reference signal processor 240 may transmit a measurement report including reception qualities (RSRP, RSRQ, SINR, etc.) of cells and / or beams to the gNB 100.
[0075] Furthermore, when CHO fails or a radio link failure (RLF) occurs, the control signal and reference signal processor 240 may transmit information including the altitude at which the UE 200 is located and the quality of the cell or beam to the network. In this embodiment, the control signal and reference signal processor 240 may constitute a transmitter that transmits information including the altitude at which the UE 200 is located and the quality of the cell or beam to the network.
[0076] Specifically, the control signal / reference signal processing unit 240 may send a UEInformationResponse to the gNB 100, which includes the UE's altitude and the cell (or beam) quality (RSRP, RSRQ, SINR, etc.).
[0077] The control signal and reference signal processing unit 240 may transmit a measurement report in a lower layer (L1 / L2) to the network (gNB 100. In this embodiment, the control signal and reference signal processing unit 240 may constitute a transmission unit that transmits the measurement report.
[0078] Specifically, the control signal and reference signal processor 240 may transmit a Measurement report including the altitude of the UE 200. The altitude may be an absolute value of the height from a reference plane to the position of the UE 200 (UAV), or may be indicated by an index associated with an altitude range. The altitude may also be an average altitude within a predetermined time period, or may be the highest (or lowest) altitude. The control signal and reference signal processor 240 may transmit a Measurement report including an altitude index associated with the altitude of the UE 200 to the gNB 100.
[0079] Furthermore, control signal / reference signal processor 240 may transmit a measurement report based on the altitude at which UE 200 is located. As described above, the altitude may be an absolute value of the height from the reference plane to the position of UE 200 (UAV) or a range. Furthermore, multiple altitude thresholds (H1, H2, etc.) may be set, and measurement reports may be transmitted according to the relationship with the multiple altitude thresholds (specific examples will be described later).
[0080] If cell transition by LTM or CHO fails or a radio link failure (RLF) occurs, the control signal / reference signal processing unit 240 may transmit information including the altitude at which the UE 200 is located and the quality of the cell or beam (RSRP, RSRQ, SINR, etc.) to the network.
[0081] The network can configure measurement reporting to cause the UE to report measurement results for each SS / PBCH block. The network may configure measurement reporting to cause the UE to report measurement results for each SS / PBCH block(s), or may configure measurement reporting to cause the UE to report measurement results for each cell based on the SS / PBCH block(s). The network may configure measurement reporting to cause the UE to report measurement results for each CSI-RS resource, or may configure measurement reporting to cause the UE to report measurement results for each cell based on the CSI-RS resource.
[0082] The control signal and reference signal processor 240 may transmit capability information of the UE 200 to the network. For example, the control signal and reference signal processor 240 may transmit UE capability information relating to the trigger condition for a measurement report and the above-mentioned altitude to the gNB 100. In particular, in this embodiment, the UE capability information may include a range of altitudes at which the UE 200 can fly (or may potentially fly) (which may be a combination of the lowest and highest altitudes, or may be an average altitude).
[0083] The encoding / decoding unit 250 performs data division / concatenation and channel coding / decoding for each predetermined communication destination (gNB 100 or another gNB).
[0084] Specifically, the encoding / decoding unit 250 divides the data output from the data transmitting / receiving unit 260 into pieces of a predetermined size, performs channel coding on the divided data, decodes the data output from the modem unit 230, and concatenates the decoded data.
[0085] The data transmitter / receiver 260 transmits and receives Protocol Data Units (PDUs) and Service Data Units (SDUs). Specifically, the data transmitter / receiver 260 assembles and disassembles PDUs / SDUs in multiple layers (such as a Medium Access Control layer (MAC), a Radio Link Control layer (RLC), and a Packet Data Convergence Protocol layer (PDCP)). The data transmitter / receiver 260 also performs data error correction and retransmission control based on Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (Hybrid ARQ).
[0086] The control unit 270 controls each functional block constituting the UE 200. In particular, in this embodiment, the control unit 270 can perform various controls regarding the CHO and LTM in consideration of the altitude of the UE 200.
[0087] The control unit 270 can execute a conditional handover (CHO) when an execution condition for the CHO is satisfied.
[0088] Furthermore, the control unit 270 may control cell transition (handover) of the UE 200 in accordance with mobility control (LTM) by the lower layer (L1 / L2).
[0089] In particular, the control unit 270 may determine whether the Execute condition is satisfied for the CHO based on a threshold value of the altitude at which the UE 200 is located and a quality threshold value of a candidate cell as a handover destination.
[0090] In addition, the control unit 270 may execute a cell transition (handover) by LTM when an execution condition based on an altitude threshold at which the UE 200 is located and a quality threshold of a candidate cell to be the destination of handover by LTM is met.
[0091] The altitude threshold of UE 200 may be a single threshold or two or more thresholds. The quality threshold of the candidate cell may be interpreted as corresponding to any of the above-mentioned Events. As described above, the quality of the candidate cell may be based on RSRP, RSRQ, SINR, or the like. The control unit 270 may determine whether the Execute condition is satisfied by taking into account the altitude of UE 200, the altitude threshold, the quality threshold (Event), and a hysteresis parameter (Hys). A specific example of determining whether the Execute condition is satisfied will be described later.
[0092] The control unit 270 may determine whether the Execute condition is satisfied based on flight path information of the UE 200 and the location of a candidate cell as a handover destination by the CHO. The flight path information of the UE 200 may include a plurality of waypoints and may further include time information (timestamps) at the waypoints.
[0093] Furthermore, the control unit 270 may execute cell transition (handover) based on flight path information of the UE 200 and the location of a candidate cell as a handover destination by LTM.
[0094] The position of a candidate cell as a handover destination by CHO or LTM may be based on, for example, the physical distance between the waypoint (waypoint) of UE 200 (UAV) and the candidate cell. The candidate cell may be based on the cell center or the cell edge closest to the waypoint. Alternatively, instead of based on the waypoint, any position on the flight path (which may be based on latitude and longitude information, or the cell center, etc.) may be based on the candidate cell.
[0095] (3) Operation of the Wireless Communication System Next, a description will be given of the operation of the wireless communication system 10. Specifically, a description will be given of the operation related to CHO and LTM taking into account the altitude of the UE 200 (UAV).
[0096] (3.1) Operation Example 1 In this operation example, CHO is triggered according to the altitude of the UE 200 (UAV). Specifically, a new Execute condition may be introduced for CHO.
[0097] Fig. 4 shows an example of a basic communication sequence for CHO. Specifically, the sequence shown in Fig. 4 is described in 3GPP TS38.300, Chapter 9.2.3.4. As shown in Fig. 4, UE 200 may evaluate the execution conditions for CHO and determine whether to execute CHO.
[0098] Fig. 5 shows an example of a CHO Execute condition according to Operation Example 1. If a new Execute condition as shown in Fig. 5 is satisfied within the timeToTrigger period, the UE 200 may execute the CHO.
[0099] Specifically, the following Execute conditions may be defined:
[0100] ・condEventA3H1 (Neighbor becomes offset better than SpCell and UE Height - hysteresis > specified altitude threshold 1) ・condEventA4H1 (Neighbor becomes better than threshold 1 and UE Height - hysteresis > specified altitude threshold 1) ・condEventA5H1 (SpCell becomes worse than threshold 1 and neighbor becomes better than threshold 2 and UE Height - hysteresis > specified altitude threshold 1) ・condEventA3H2 (Neighbor becomes offset better than SpCell and UE Height + hysteresis < specified altitude threshold 2) ・condEventA4H2 (Neighbor becomes better than threshold 1 and UE Height + hysteresis < specified altitude threshold 2) ・condEventA5H2 (SpCell becomes worse than threshold 1 and neighbor becomes better than threshold 2 and UE Height + hysteresis < specified altitude threshold 2) ・condEventB1H1 (Inter RAT neighbor becomes better than threshold and UE Height - hysteresis > predetermined altitude threshold 1) condEventB2H1 (PCell becomes worse than threshold 1 and inter RAT neighbor becomes better than threshold 2 and UE Height - hysteresis > predetermined altitude threshold 1) condEventB1H2 (Inter RAT neighbor becomes better than threshold and UE Height +hysteresis < predetermined altitude threshold 2) condEventB2H2 (PCell becomes worse than threshold 1 and inter RAT neighbor becomes better than threshold 2 and UE Height + hysteresis < predetermined altitude threshold 2) Note that predetermined altitude threshold 1 (H1) may be < predetermined altitude threshold 2 (H2). Alternatively, predetermined altitude threshold 1 (H1) may be > predetermined altitude threshold 2 (H2). Furthermore, SpCell may mean a primary cell (PCell) and a primary / secondary cell (PSCell). A PSCell may be interpreted as a component carrier that ensures connectivity among component carriers supported by a secondary base station in DC or MR-DC, or a special SCell that has functions equivalent to a PCell.
[0101] In the above-described Execute condition, a hysteresis parameter (Hys) is applied, but the hysteresis parameter does not necessarily have to be applied. Furthermore, a neighboring cell (neighbor) may be read as a candidate cell. Furthermore, only some of the above-described Execute conditions may be applied, or an additional Execute condition that combines multiple Execute conditions may be applied (the same applies to the following operation examples).
[0102] According to this operation example, the Execute condition of the CHO can be defined using multiple altitude thresholds, so that an appropriate CHO can be realized according to the state (altitude) of the UE 200 (UAV), i.e., the characteristics of the UAV.
[0103] (3.2) Operation Example 2 In this operation example, in the LTM, L1 measurement reporting based on the altitude of the UE is triggered. In the legacy specifications, L1 measurement reporting cannot report altitude information of the UE 200 and cannot trigger L1 measurement reporting according to the altitude of the UE.
[0104] Fig. 6 shows an example (part only) of a communication sequence related to L1 measurement reporting. As shown in Fig. 6, UE 200 performs configuration related to measurements of a serving cell and neighboring cells (candidate cells) based on RRCReconfiguration, and may trigger L1 measurement reporting when a specific condition is met.
[0105] In this operation example, altitude information may be introduced into L1 measurement reporting in LTM. That is, the report content included in L1 measurement reporting may include the state (altitude) of UE 200 (UAV).
[0106] In addition, UE200 may trigger L1 measurement reporting based on the current altitude of UE200 (UAV) (which may be called height-based L1 measurement reporting) may be introduced.
[0107] For example, the UE 200 may trigger L1 measurement reporting when the following conditions are satisfied: UE Height - hysteresis > predetermined altitude threshold 1 UE Height + hysteresis < predetermined altitude threshold 2 A combination of a UE altitude condition and a quality condition Fig. 7 shows examples of trigger conditions for L1 measurement reporting according to the operation example 2. When new trigger conditions as shown in Fig. 7 are satisfied, the UE 200 may execute L1 measurement reporting.
[0108] In Fig. 7, the order of Nos. 1 to 6 may be reversed. Furthermore, the L1 reception quality may be the RSRP / RSRQ / SINR of SSB or CSI-RS. CSI-RS based L1 measurement reporting may simply be called CSI reporting.
[0109] Specifically, the following trigger conditions may be defined:
[0110] ・UE Height - hysteresis > specified altitude threshold 1 and the neighbor cell / beam's L1 quality (RSRP / RSRQ / SINR) is better than the serving cell / beam's L1 quality (RSRP / RSRQ / SINR). ・UE Height - hysteresis > specified altitude threshold 1 and the neighbor cell / beam's L1 quality (RSRP / RSRQ / SINR) is better than the specified quality threshold (RSRP / RSRQ / SINR). ・UE Height - hysteresis > specified altitude threshold 1 and the serving cell / beam's L1 quality (RSRP / RSRQ / SINR) is worse than the specified quality threshold (RSRP / RSRQ / SINR), and the neighbor cell / beam's L1 quality (RSRP / RSRQ / SINR) is better than the specified quality threshold (RSRP / RSRQ / SINR). ・UE Height + hysteresis < specified altitude threshold 2 and neighbor The L1 quality (RSRP / RSRQ / SINR) of the cell / beam is better than the L1 quality (RSRP / RSRQ / SINR) of the serving cell / beam. ・UE Height + hysteresis < predetermined altitude threshold 2 and the L1 quality (RSRP / RSRQ / SINR) of the neighbor cell / beam is better than the predetermined quality threshold (RSRP / RSRQ / SINR). ・UE Height + hysteresis < predetermined altitude threshold 2 and the L1 quality (RSRP / RSRQ / SINR) of the serving cell / beam is worse than the predetermined quality threshold (RSRP / RSRQ / SINR) and the L1 quality (RSRP / RSRQ / SINR) of the neighbor cell / beam is better than the predetermined quality threshold (RSRP / RSRQ / SINR). According to this operation example, the trigger conditions for L1 measurement reporting can be specified using multiple altitude thresholds, making it possible to achieve appropriate LTM according to the state (altitude) of UE200 (UAV), i.e., the characteristics of the UAV.
[0111] (3.3) Operation Example 3 In this operation example, the altitude of the UE 200 (UAV) may be reported to the network in the L1 measurement reporting. Specifically, the L1 measurement reporting may be performed using an index (referred to as a Temporary Altitude Index) associated with the altitude of the UE 200.
[0112] Fig. 8 shows an example of setting the UE altitude and the temporary altitude index according to operation example 3. As shown in Fig. 8, the altitude of the UE 200 (assumed to be 0 m to 300 m here) may be divided into 10 m intervals, and the altitude may be sequentially associated with indexes 1 to 30, starting from the lowest altitude interval.
[0113] The L1 measurement reporting may be repeatedly transmitted at an appropriate timing, and each time the L1 measurement reporting is transmitted, an index associated with the current altitude of the UE 200 may be included in the L1 measurement reporting. In other words, the index may be dynamically changed depending on the current altitude of the UE 200.
[0114] The correspondence (mapping) between the UE altitude and the Temporary Altitude Index may be preset by a higher layer (e.g., RRC) from the gNB 100 to the UE 200. Furthermore, the correspondence may be changed autonomously or dynamically in response to an instruction from the network based on the current altitude and / or flight path information of the UE 200.
[0115] According to this operation example, the altitude of UE 200 (UAV) can be reported to the network in L1 measurement reporting, and the network can apply appropriate resource settings to UE 200 according to the altitude of UE 200. Furthermore, since L1 measurement reporting is executed by PUCCH or MAC CE, it cannot be said that sufficient security such as integrity is ensured even though it is encrypted. However, since the contents of L1 measurement reporting are dynamically changed by the Temporary Altitude Index, this can also contribute to improving the security level.
[0116] (3.4) Operation Example 4 In this operation example, LTM is triggered according to the altitude of the UE 200. Such LTM triggering may be called height-based LTM triggering.
[0117] Specifically, similar to the second operation example, when a new trigger condition as shown in FIG. 7 is satisfied, the UE 200 may execute the LTM.
[0118] As mentioned above, the order of Nos. 1 to 6 in Fig. 7 may be reversed. Furthermore, the L1 reception quality may be the RSRP / RSRQ / SINR of SSB or CSI-RS. CSI-RS based L1 measurement reporting may simply be called CSI reporting.
[0119] Specifically, the following trigger conditions may be defined:
[0120] ・UE Height - hysteresis > specified altitude threshold 1 and the neighbor cell / beam's L1 quality (RSRP / RSRQ / SINR) is better than the serving cell / beam's L1 quality (RSRP / RSRQ / SINR). UE Height + hysteresis < predetermined altitude threshold 2 and the L1 quality (RSRP / RSRQ / SINR) of the neighbor cell / beam is better than the predetermined quality threshold (RSRP / RSRQ / SINR). UE Height + hysteresis < predetermined altitude threshold 2 and the L1 quality (RSRP / RSRQ / SINR) of the serving cell / beam is worse than the predetermined quality threshold (RSRP / RSRQ / SINR) and the L1 quality (RSRP / RSRQ / SINR) of the neighbor cell / beam is better than the predetermined quality threshold (RSRP / RSRQ / SINR). According to this operation example, the trigger conditions for LTM can be specified using multiple altitude thresholds, making it possible to achieve appropriate LTM according to the state (altitude) of UE200 (UAV), i.e., the characteristics of the UAV.
[0121] (3.5) Operation Example 5 In this operation example, the CHO or LTM may be triggered (executed) based on the flight path of the UE 200 (UAV). As described above, the information on the flight path may be called flight path information, or may be called route information, etc.
[0122] 9 shows an example of flight path information of UE200 according to operation example 5. As shown in FIG. 9, UE200 may determine whether to perform CHO / LTM in CHO / LTM by taking into account the position of UE200 on the flight path and a distance D from the candidate cell. As described above, distance D may be based on the cell center of the candidate cell or the cell edge closest to the waypoint. Furthermore, instead of using the waypoint as a reference, any position on the flight path (which may be based on latitude and longitude information, or may be based on the cell center, etc.) may be used as a reference.
[0123] The gNB100 may set location information of the candidate target cell when setting the candidate target cell config to the UE200. The UE200 may determine whether to execute CHO / LTM in consideration of a distance D between a waypoint in flight path information of the UE200 and the candidate target cell.
[0124] Specifically, a new Execute condition (condEventF1) may be set. Alternatively, the UE 200 may execute the CHO / LTM when a distance D between a turning point in flight path information of the UE 200 and a candidate target cell becomes smaller than a predetermined threshold.
[0125] The new Execute condition described above may be combined with the height execution condition or the quality execution condition. For example, if the distance D between the waypoint in the route information of the UE 200 and the candidate target cell is smaller than a predetermined threshold within the timeToTrigger period and event A3 is satisfied, CHO / LTM may be executed.
[0126] Alternatively, new Execute conditions (condEventA3F1, condEventA4F1, condEventA5F1, condEventB1F1, condEventB2F1) may be set. If the Execute conditions are satisfied, the UE 200 may execute CHO / LTM (see FIG. 10 for details).
[0127] Furthermore, if the distance D between the waypoint in the route information of UE200 and the candidate target cell is smaller than a predetermined threshold and a new event is satisfied (for example, the L1 quality (RSRP / RSRQ / SINR) of the neighbor cell / beam is better than the L1 quality (RSRP / RSRQ / SINR) of the serving cell / beam), UE200 may perform CHO / LTM.
[0128] Fig. 10 shows an example of a trigger condition for CHO / LTM according to operation example 5. When a new trigger condition as shown in Fig. 10 is satisfied, UE 200 may execute CHO / LTM. Note that the order of Nos. 1 to 5 in Fig. 10 may be reversed.
[0129] Specifically, the following trigger conditions may be defined:
[0130] condEventA3F1 (Neighbor becomes offset better than SpCell and the distance between the UE flightpath waypoint and the candidate target cell is less than the specified distance threshold) condEventA4F1 (Neighbor becomes better than threshold1 and the distance between the UE flightpath waypoint and the candidate target cell is less than the specified distance threshold) condEventA5F1 (SpCell becomes worse than threshold1 and the neighbor becomes better than threshold2 and the distance between the UE flightpath waypoint and the candidate target cell is less than the specified distance threshold) condEventB1F1 (Inter RAT neighbor becomes better than threshold and the distance between the UE flightpath waypoint and the candidate target cell is less than the specified distance threshold) condEventB2F1 (PCell becomes worse than threshold1 and the inter RAT neighbor becomes better than threshold2 and the distance between the UE flightpath waypoint and the candidate target cell is less than the specified distance threshold) According to this operation example, CHO or LTM is triggered based on the flight path of UE200 (UAV), so that more appropriate CHO or LTM can be realized according to the position of UE200, including its altitude.
[0131] (3.6) Operation Example 6 In this operation example, if UE200 (UAV) fails to perform handover (HO) or if a radio link failure (RLF) occurs, UE200 may transmit a report (RLF report) including the altitude of UE200 to gNB100.
[0132] 11 shows an example sequence related to the reporting of an RLF Report according to operation example 6. Specifically, when an HO failure or RLF occurs, the UE 200 may record the following information and report the information to the gNB 100 using a UEInformationResponse. Alternatively, the UE 200 may include the following information in a successful handover report.
[0133] - UE altitude and the quality (RSRP / RSRQ / SINR) of the serving or neighbor cell / beam at that altitude - In the case of CHO / LTM, the UE altitude when the height event (or condEventF1) was satisfied - In the case of CHO / LTM, for condEventA3H1, condEventA3H2, condEventA4H1, condEventA4H2, condEventA5H1, condEventA5H2, condEventB1H1, condEvent B1H2, condEventB2H1, condEventB2H2, information indicating whether the altitude (height) condition and the quality condition (event A3 / A4 / A5 / B1 / B2) were satisfied simultaneously, information indicating that only the height condition was satisfied and the quality condition (event A3 / A4 / A5 / B1 / B2) was not satisfied, or information indicating that only the quality condition (event A3 / A4 / A5) was satisfied and the height condition was not satisfied - For CHO / LTM, the quality (RSRP / RSRQ / SINR) of the serving or neighbor cell / beam when the height condition or quality condition (event A3 / A4 / A5 / B1 / B2) is satisfied. - If the height condition is satisfied first, the time required from satisfying the height condition to satisfying the quality condition (event A3 / A4 / A5 / B1 / B2), or if the quality condition (event A3 / A4 / A5 / B1 / B2) is satisfied first, the time required from satisfying the quality condition to satisfying the height condition. - UE route information - For CHO / LTM, condEventA3F1, condEventA4F1, condEventA5F1, condEventB1F1,For condEvent B2F1, information indicating whether the flight path condition and the quality condition (event A3 / A4 / A5 / B1 / B2) were satisfied simultaneously, information indicating that only the flight path condition was satisfied and the quality condition (event A3 / A4 / A5 / B1 / B2) was not satisfied, or information indicating that only the quality condition (event A3 / A4 / A5 / B1 / B2) was satisfied and the flight path condition was not satisfied. - For CHO / LTM, the quality (RSRP / RSRQ / SINR) of the serving or neighbor cell / beam when the flight path condition or the quality condition (event A3 / A4 / A5 / B1 / B2) was satisfied. - If the flight path condition was satisfied first, the time required from satisfying the flight path condition to satisfying the quality condition (event A3 / A4 / A5 / B1 / B2), or the time required from satisfying the flight path condition to satisfying the quality condition (event A3 / A4 / A5 / B1 / B2). A3 / A4 / A5 / B1 / B2) are satisfied first, the time required from satisfying the quality conditions to satisfying the flight path conditions. The distance D between the waypoint and the candidate target cell at the time of RLF / HO failure. According to this operation example, if the UE200 (UAV) fails to handover (HO) or if a radio link failure (RLF) occurs, the UE200 sends a report (RLF report) including the altitude of the UE200 to the gNB100, which allows the network to improve communication quality taking the altitude of the UE200 into consideration.

[0165] Note that terms described in this disclosure and terms necessary for understanding this disclosure may be replaced with terms having the same or similar meanings. For example, at least one of a channel and a symbol may be a signal (signaling). Furthermore, a signal may be a message. Furthermore, a component carrier (CC) may be called a carrier frequency, a cell, a frequency carrier, etc.
[0166] As used in this disclosure, the terms "system" and "network" are used interchangeably.
[0167] Furthermore, the information, parameters, etc. described in the present disclosure may be expressed using absolute values, relative values from a predetermined value, or other corresponding information. For example, a radio resource may be indicated by an index.
[0168] The names used for the above-described parameters are not intended to be limiting in any way. Furthermore, the mathematical expressions using these parameters may differ from those explicitly disclosed in this disclosure. The various channels (e.g., PUCCH, PDCCH, etc.) and information elements may be identified by any suitable names, and therefore the various names assigned to these various channels and information elements are not intended to be limiting in any way.
[0169] In this disclosure, terms such as "base station (BS)," "radio base station," "fixed station," "NodeB," "eNodeB (eNB)," "gNodeB (gNB)," "access point," "transmission point," "reception point," "transmission / reception point," "cell," "sector," "cell group," "carrier," and "component carrier" may be used interchangeably. Base stations may also be referred to by terms such as macrocell, small cell, femtocell, and picocell.
[0170] A base station can accommodate one or more (e.g., three) cells (also called sectors). When a base station accommodates multiple cells, the overall coverage area of the base station can be divided into multiple smaller areas, and each smaller area can be provided with communication services by a base station subsystem (e.g., a small indoor base station (Remote Radio Head: RRH)).
[0171] The terms "cell" or "sector" refer to part or all of the coverage area of a base station and / or base station subsystem that provides communication services within that coverage area.
[0172] In the present disclosure, the base station transmitting information to a terminal may be interpreted as the base station instructing the terminal to control or operate based on the information.
[0173] In this disclosure, the terms "Mobile Station (MS)," "user terminal," "User Equipment (UE)," "terminal," etc. may be used interchangeably.
[0174] A mobile station may also be referred to by those skilled in the art as a subscriber station, mobile unit, subscriber unit, wireless unit, remote unit, mobile device, wireless device, wireless communication device, remote device, mobile subscriber station, access terminal, mobile terminal, wireless terminal, remote terminal, handset, user agent, mobile client, client, or some other suitable terminology.
[0175] At least one of the base station and the mobile station may be referred to as a transmitting device, a receiving device, a communication device, etc. At least one of the base station and the mobile station may be a device mounted on a mobile object, the mobile object itself, etc. The mobile object refers to a movable object, and may move at any speed. Naturally, this also includes cases where the mobile object is stationary. Examples of the mobile object include, but are not limited to, vehicles, transport vehicles, automobiles, motorcycles, bicycles, connected cars, excavators, bulldozers, wheel loaders, dump trucks, forklifts, trains, buses, handcars, rickshaws, ships and other watercraft, airplanes, rockets, satellites, drones (registered trademark), multicopters, quadcopters, balloons, and objects mounted thereon. The mobile object may also be a mobile object that moves autonomously based on an operational command. It may be a vehicle (e.g., a car, an airplane, etc.), an unmanned mobile object (e.g., a drone, an autonomous vehicle, etc.), or a robot (manned or unmanned). At least one of the base station and the mobile station may be a device that does not necessarily move during communication operations. For example, at least one of the base station and the mobile station may be an IoT (Internet of Things) device such as a sensor.
[0176] Furthermore, a base station in the present disclosure may be read as a mobile station (user terminal, the same applies hereinafter). For example, the aspects / embodiments of the present disclosure may be applied to a configuration in which communication between a base station and a mobile station is replaced with communication between multiple mobile stations (which may be called, for example, Device-to-Device (D2D) or Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X)). In this case, the mobile station may be configured to have the functions of a base station. Furthermore, terms such as "uplink" and "downlink" may be read as terms corresponding to terminal-to-terminal communication (for example, "side"). For example, terms such as an uplink channel and a downlink channel may be read as a side channel (or sidelink).
[0177] Similarly, a mobile station in the present disclosure may be interpreted as a base station, in which case the base station may have the functions of a mobile station.
[0178] A radio frame may be composed of one or more frames in the time domain. Each of the one or more frames in the time domain may be called a subframe. A subframe may further be composed of one or more slots in the time domain. A subframe may have a fixed time length (e.g., 1 ms) that is independent of numerology.
[0179] Numerology may be communication parameters that apply to the transmission and / or reception of a signal or channel, such as subcarrier spacing (SCS), bandwidth, symbol length, cyclic prefix length, transmission time interval (TTI), number of symbols per TTI, radio frame structure, specific filtering operations performed by the transceiver in the frequency domain, and specific windowing operations performed by the transceiver in the time domain.
[0180] A slot may consist of one or more symbols in the time domain (such as an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) symbol, a Single Carrier Frequency Division Multiple Access (SC-FDMA) symbol, etc.) A slot may be a numerology-based time unit.
[0181] A slot may include multiple minislots. Each minislot may consist of one or more symbols in the time domain. A minislot may also be called a subslot. A minislot may consist of fewer symbols than a slot. A PDSCH (or PUSCH) transmitted in a time unit larger than a minislot may be called PDSCH (or PUSCH) mapping type A. A PDSCH (or PUSCH) transmitted using a minislot may be called PDSCH (or PUSCH) mapping type B.
[0182] The radio frame, subframe, slot, minislot, and symbol all represent time units for transmitting signals, and may be referred to by other names corresponding to the radio frame, subframe, slot, minislot, and symbol.
[0183] For example, one subframe may be referred to as a transmission time interval (TTI), multiple consecutive subframes may be referred to as a TTI, or one slot or one minislot may be referred to as a TTI. That is, at least one of the subframe and the TTI may be a subframe (1 ms) in existing LTE, a period shorter than 1 ms (e.g., 1-13 symbols), or a period longer than 1 ms. Note that the unit representing the TTI may be called a slot, minislot, etc., instead of a subframe.
[0184] Here, TTI refers to, for example, the smallest time unit for scheduling in wireless communication. For example, in an LTE system, a base station schedules each user terminal to allocate radio resources (such as frequency bandwidth and transmission power that can be used by each user terminal) in TTI units. Note that the definition of TTI is not limited to this.
[0185] The TTI may be a transmission time unit for a channel-encoded data packet (transport block), a code block, a code word, etc., or may be a processing unit for scheduling, link adaptation, etc. When a TTI is given, the time interval (e.g., the number of symbols) to which a transport block, a code block, a code word, etc. is actually mapped may be shorter than the TTI.
[0186] In addition, when one slot or one minislot is called a TTI, one or more TTIs (i.e., one or more slots or one or more minislots) may be the minimum time unit for scheduling, and the number of slots (minislots) constituting the minimum time unit for scheduling may be controlled.
[0187] A TTI having a time length of 1 ms may be referred to as a regular TTI (TTI in LTE Rel. 8-12), normal TTI, long TTI, regular subframe, normal subframe, long subframe, slot, etc. A TTI shorter than a regular TTI may be referred to as a shortened TTI, short TTI, partial or fractional TTI, shortened subframe, short subframe, minislot, subslot, slot, etc.
[0188] In addition, a long TTI (e.g., a normal TTI, a subframe, etc.) may be interpreted as a TTI having a time length of more than 1 ms, and a short TTI (e.g., a shortened TTI, etc.) may be interpreted as a TTI having a TTI length shorter than the TTI length of a long TTI and equal to or greater than 1 ms.
[0189] A resource block (RB) is a resource allocation unit in the time domain and the frequency domain, and may include one or more consecutive subcarriers in the frequency domain. The number of subcarriers included in an RB may be the same regardless of numerology, for example, 12. The number of subcarriers included in an RB may be determined based on numerology.
[0190] The time domain of an RB may include one or more symbols and may have a length of one slot, one minislot, one subframe, or one TTI, each of which may consist of one or more resource blocks.
[0191] Note that one or more RBs may also be called a physical resource block (PRB), a sub-carrier group (SCG), a resource element group (REG), a PRB pair, an RB pair, etc.
[0192] Furthermore, a resource block may be composed of one or more resource elements (REs). For example, one RE may be a radio resource region of one subcarrier and one symbol.
[0193] A Bandwidth Part (BWP) (which may also be referred to as a fractional bandwidth) may represent a subset of contiguous common resource blocks (RBs) for a given numerology on a given carrier, where the common RBs may be identified by their index relative to a common reference point of the carrier. PRBs may be defined in a given BWP and numbered within that BWP.
[0194] The BWP may include a BWP for UL (UL BWP) and a BWP for DL (DL BWP). One or more BWPs may be configured for a UE within one carrier.
[0195] At least one of the configured BWPs may be active, and the UE may not expect to transmit or receive a given signal / channel outside the active BWP. Note that the terms "cell," "carrier," etc. in this disclosure may be read as "BWP."
[0196] The above-described structures of the radio frame, subframe, slot, minislot, and symbol are merely examples. For example, the number of subframes included in a radio frame, the number of slots per subframe or radio frame, the number of minislots included in a slot, the number of symbols and RBs included in a slot or minislot, the number of subcarriers included in an RB, the number of symbols in a TTI, the symbol length, the cyclic prefix (CP) length, and other configurations may be changed in various ways.
[0197] The terms "connected," "coupled," or any variation thereof, refer to any direct or indirect connection or coupling between two or more elements, and may include the presence of one or more intermediate elements between two elements that are "connected" or "coupled" to each other. The coupling or connection between elements may be physical, logical, or a combination thereof. For example, "connected" may be read as "access." As used in this disclosure, two elements may be considered to be "connected" or "coupled" to each other using one or more wires, cables, and / or printed electrical connections, as well as electromagnetic energy having wavelengths in the radio frequency range, microwave range, and optical (both visible and invisible) range, as some non-limiting and non-exhaustive examples.
[0198] The reference signal may also be abbreviated as Reference Signal (RS) and may be called a pilot depending on the applicable standard.
[0199] As used in this disclosure, the phrase "based on" does not mean "based only on," unless expressly stated otherwise. In other words, the phrase "based on" means both "based only on" and "based at least on."
[0200] The "means" in the configuration of each of the above devices may be replaced with "part," "circuit," "device," etc.
[0201] As used in this disclosure, any reference to an element using a designation such as "first," "second," etc. does not generally limit the quantity or order of those elements. These designations may be used in this disclosure as a convenient method of distinguishing between two or more elements. Thus, a reference to a first and a second element does not imply that only two elements may be employed therein or that the first element must precede the second element in some way.
[0202] When the terms "include," "including," and variations thereof are used in this disclosure, these terms are intended to be inclusive, similar to the term "comprising." Furthermore, when the term "or" is used in this disclosure, it is not intended to be an exclusive or.
[0203] In this disclosure, where articles are added by translation, such as a, an, and the in English, the disclosure may include that the nouns following these articles are in the plural form.
[0204] As used in this disclosure, the terms "determining" and "determining" may encompass a wide variety of actions. "Determining" and "determining" may include, for example, judging, calculating, computing, processing, deriving, investigating, looking up, searching, inquiring (e.g., searching in a table, database, or other data structure), ascertaining, and the like. "Determining" and "determining" may also include receiving (e.g., receiving information), transmitting (e.g., sending information), input, output, accessing (e.g., accessing data in memory), and the like. Furthermore, "judgment" and "decision" can include regarding resolving, selecting, choosing, establishing, comparing, etc. as having been "judged" or "decided." In other words, "judgment" and "decision" can include regarding some action as having been "judged" or "decided." Furthermore, "judgment (decision)" can be interpreted as "assuming," "expecting," "considering," etc.
[0205] In the present disclosure, the term "A and B are different" may mean "A and B are different from each other." The term may also mean "A and B are each different from C." Terms such as "separate" and "coupled" may also be interpreted in the same way as "different."
