Description

Multi-seater modular reclining sofa

[0001] The present invention relates to a multi-seater modular reclining sofa, and more particularly, to a multi-seater modular reclining sofa having a simpler structure and being easy to assemble, disassemble, and maintain, as well as reducing manufacturing costs and shortening manufacturing time.

[0002] A sofa is typically comprised of a backrest and a seat. The backrest, designed to support the user's back, consists of a backrest frame and a backrest cushion. The seat, designed to support the user's buttocks (lower body), consists of a seat frame and a seat cushion. Additionally, some sofas may also include armrests on either side, depending on the type.

[0003] These sofas are divided into single-seater sofas that can seat one person and multi-seater sofas that can seat two or more people at the same time. Most sofas have fixed backrest frames and seat frames, so there was a problem in that the user could not adjust the incline of the backrest frame to the desired angle.

[0004] To solve these problems, various types of recliners have been introduced recently that allow the seat frame to be extended forward and the angle of the backrest frame to be adjusted.

[0005] These recliners can be divided into manual recliners where the footstool is extended using a side lever, electric recliners where the footstool is adjusted with a button using an electric device, and semi-automatic recliners where the recline can be adjusted according to the user's weight.

[0006] For example, in Korean Utility Model Publication No. 20-0404083 (Sofa having a backrest angle adjustment device) (published on December 19, 2005) (hereinafter, Patent Document 1), a structure of a semi-automatic recliner is disclosed in which an air cylinder (208) provided at one end of a support frame (200) and an angle adjustment means (240) provided on the central axis of the support frame (200) are provided so that a user can adjust the backrest angle of the sofa to a desired angle by operating the air cylinder (208) using a switch.

[0007] However, the recliner disclosed in Patent Document 1 has a problem in that the structure of the angle adjustment means (240), such as the air cylinder (208) provided in the support frame (200) and the backrest frame (216), is complicated, which not only increases the manufacturing cost, but also makes it difficult for the worker to assemble and disassemble the recliner if he or she is not a skilled technician. In addition, although not disclosed in Patent Document 1, when this structure is applied to a multi-seater sofa capable of individually adjusting the incline, there is a problem in that the structure becomes even more complicated.

[0008] Meanwhile, a couch sofa is a type of sofa that can be placed in a relatively spacious living space and function as both a sofa and a bed. In other words, a couch sofa is a long chair that functions as a cross between a bed and a sofa, and is manufactured with various variations of backrest support (frame), seat support (frame), and calf support (frame). These couch sofas can be used independently as a single-seater, but are often placed on one side of a regular sofa.

[0009] However, since conventional couch sofas typically have the backrest support, seat support, and calf support fixed at a specific angle, there was a problem in that the inclination of the backrest support, seat support, or calf support could not be adjusted according to the user's body type or condition.

[0010] Accordingly, various types of couch sofas with reclining functions that allow users to adjust the incline of the backrest, seat, or calf rest are being introduced recently.

[0011] For example, Korean Patent Publication No. 10-1353031 (Electric Sofa) (announced on January 23, 2014) (hereinafter, Patent Document 2) discloses a structure of a multi-person modular reclining sofa in which a sofa mat (100), a backrest mat (300), an auxiliary mat (400), and a headrest (400) are driven by separate power devices so that the functions of a recliner sofa and a couch-type sofa can be used simultaneously.

[0012] However, the multi-seater modular reclining sofa disclosed in Patent Document 2 has a problem in that it requires a plurality of motors, a plurality of gears, a plurality of ball screw-type power transmission structures, etc. to drive the sofa mat (100), the backrest mat (300), the auxiliary mat (400), and the headrest (400), and thus the overall structure is complex and the manufacturing cost increases accordingly. In addition, there is a problem in that the entire multi-seater sofa has the same incline uniformly, making it impossible to individually adjust the incline for each user.

[0013] Therefore, there is a need for a multi-seater modular reclining sofa that has a simpler structure and is easy to assemble, disassemble, and maintain, while also reducing manufacturing costs and shortening manufacturing time.

[0080] That is, the control adapter (160) can adjust the strength of the incline adjustment by adjusting the strength of the reciprocating movement of the operating frame (140) when the user wants to adjust the incline of the backrest frame (120) and the seat frame (130), or can play a role in fixing the backrest frame (120) and the seat frame (130) to a specific position (specific angle).

[0081] Hereinafter, with reference to FIGS. 4 to 8, the structure and operation of the control adapter (160) constituting the sofa frame module (100) of the multi-person modular reclining sofa (1) according to one embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail.

[0082] FIG. 4 is a drawing showing the structure of a control adapter constituting a sofa frame module of a multi-seater modular reclining sofa according to one embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 5 is an exploded perspective view showing the structure of a control adapter constituting a sofa frame module of a multi-seater modular reclining sofa according to one embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 6 is a longitudinal sectional view showing the structure of a control adapter constituting a sofa frame module of a multi-seater modular reclining sofa according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0083] As shown in FIGS. 4 to 6, the control adapter (160) may be configured to include a first adapter body (161), a second adapter body (162), an adjustment knob (163), and a friction member (164).

[0084] The first adapter body (161) may have a first coupling portion (161a) formed at the bottom to surround one side of the outer surface of the fixed shaft (150), a penetration portion (161b) formed at the top through which the operating frame (140) passes, and a first knob coupling hole (161c) formed to communicate with the penetration portion (161b) in a direction perpendicular to the fixed shaft (150) from the lower end of the front end of the side frame (110).

[0085] As illustrated in FIGS. 5 and 6, the first adapter body (161) may be formed such that the first coupling portion (161a) and the penetration portion (161b) may be separately formed at the lower and upper portions of the first adapter body (161) so that the fixed shaft (150) and the operating frame (140), which are orthogonal to each other, can both be penetrated and coupled. Accordingly, the first adapter body (161) may rotate around the fixed shaft (150) coupled through the first coupling portion (161a) when the operating frame (140) reciprocates through the penetration portion (161b).

[0086] In particular, as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, the first coupling portion (161a) formed in the first adapter body (161) has a semi-arc shape so as to be rotatably coupled while wrapping around one side of the outer surface (in the example of FIG. 6, the upper side of the outer surface) of the fixed shaft (150) in the shape of a circular pipe, and together with the second coupling portion (162a) formed in the second adapter body (162), can be formed to wrap around the entire outer surface of the fixed shaft (150).

[0087] As illustrated in FIGS. 5 and 6, the first adapter body (161) may be formed with a first knob coupling hole (161c) formed to communicate with a penetration portion (161b) in a direction perpendicular to the fixed shaft (150) from the lower front end of the side frame (110). In addition, the first adapter body (161) may be formed with a fixing member insertion groove (161d) formed perpendicular to the first knob coupling hole (161c) along the longitudinal direction of the fixed shaft (150) coupled to the first coupling portion (161a) on one side so as to communicate with the first knob coupling hole (161c). At this time, the nut-shaped fixing member (165) inserted into the fixing member insertion groove (161d) is rotated by the fixing member insertion groove (161d) while inserted into the fixing member insertion groove (161d) and can be screwed into the male screw thread (163c) formed on the outer surface of the adjustment knob (163).

[0088] As shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, the second adapter body (162) is detachably coupled to the first adapter body (161), and when coupled to the first adapter body (161), a second coupling portion (162a) in the shape of a semi-arc is formed to surround the other side of the outer surface of the fixed shaft (150) at the top (in the example of FIG. 6, the lower side of the outer surface), and a second knob coupling hole (162b) can be formed to communicate with the first knob coupling hole (161c) in a direction perpendicular to the fixed shaft (150).

[0089] As shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, the first adapter body (161) and the second adapter body (162) can be coupled to or separated from each other along the length direction of the fixed shaft (150) that is rotatably coupled by the first coupling portion (161a) and the second coupling portion (162a).

[0090] Preferably, the first adapter body (161) and the second adapter body (162) can be coupled or separated from each other in a sliding manner by means of a guide protrusion (161e) and a guide groove (162c) formed long along the length direction of the fixed shaft (150) at the lower and upper joint portions, respectively.

[0091] In the example of FIG. 5, an example is shown in which the first adapter body (161) and the second adapter body (162) are coupled or separated from each other by a '┴'-shaped guide protrusion (161e) formed long along the longitudinal direction of the fixed shaft (150) at the lower coupling portion of the first adapter body (161) and a '┌ ┐'-shaped guide groove (162c) formed long to correspond to the guide protrusion (161e) at the upper coupling portion of the second adapter body (162) along the longitudinal direction of the fixed shaft (150), but the present invention is not limited thereto, and the shapes and formation positions of the guide protrusion (161e) and the guide groove (162c) can be changed at will by those skilled in the art.

[0092] In addition, in FIG. 5, an example is shown in which a guide protrusion (161e) is formed in the lower coupling portion of the first adapter body (161) and a guide groove (162c) is formed in the upper coupling portion of the second adapter body (162). Conversely, a guide groove (not shown) may be formed in the lower coupling portion of the first adapter body (161) and a guide protrusion (not shown) may be formed in the upper coupling portion of the second adapter body (162).

[0093] Accordingly, the first adapter body (161) and the second adapter body (162) can have the advantage of being able to be assembled and disassembled without disassembling the fixed shaft (150) fixedly connected between a pair of side frames (110) in a state where the operating frame (140) and the fixed shaft (150) are installed at the lower end of the seat frame (130).

[0094] Meanwhile, the control knob (163) is inserted into the first knob coupling hole (161c) through the second knob coupling hole (162b) from the lower end of the front end of the side frame (110) while the first adapter body (161) and the second adapter body (162) are coupled, and can reciprocate along the first knob coupling hole (161c) by rotation.

[0095] As illustrated in FIG. 5, the adjustment knob (163) may be configured with a cylindrical shaft member (163a) that is inserted into the first knob engaging hole (161c) and to which a friction member (164) is detachably coupled at one end, and a handle (163b) that is provided at the other end of the shaft member (163a) and rotates the shaft member (163a). At this time, the shaft member (163a) of the adjustment knob (163) may have a male screw thread (163c) formed on a portion of the outer circumference so that it can be screw-coupled with a nut-shaped fixing member (165) that is inserted into the fixing member insertion groove (161d).

[0096] The friction member (164) is detachably connected to one end of the adjustment knob (163), and has an inclined surface (164a) formed at the top so as to contact the lower surface of the operating frame (140), and when the adjustment knob (163) rotates and contacts the operating frame (140), the frictional force at the contact surface with the operating frame (140) can be adjusted, or when the contact is released from the operating frame (140), the operating frame (140) can be adjusted to reciprocate the penetration portion (161b).

[0097] Accordingly, the friction member (164) can easily control the frictional force at the contact surface by increasing the contact area with the operating frame (140) through the inclined surface (164a) parallel to the lower surface of the operating frame (140), and can also have the advantage of reducing the hassle of having to replace the entire controlling knob (163) since it can be easily replaced from one end of the controlling knob (163) even when wear occurs due to continuous contact with the operating frame (140).

[0098] Preferably, the friction member (164) may be made of polyoxymethylene (POM). The friction member (164) made of polyoxymethylene (POM) not only has excellent processability, fatigue strength, and dimensional stability, but also has the advantages of high strength and rigidity, low moisture absorption, and excellent sliding and wear resistance.

[0099] As described above, the control adapter (160) can adjust the degree of pressure due to friction of the friction member (164) that contacts the lower surface of the operating frame (140) by rotating the adjustment knob (163), thereby adjusting the inclination intensity when the user wants to adjust the inclination of the backrest frame (120) and the seat frame (130), or can play a role in fixing the backrest frame (120) and the seat frame (130) to a specific position (specific angle).

[0100] FIG. 7 is a drawing showing the appearance of a sofa frame module constituting a multi-seater modular reclining sofa according to one embodiment of the present invention when it is in a basic position, and FIG. 8 is a drawing showing the appearance of a sofa frame module constituting a multi-seater modular reclining sofa according to one embodiment of the present invention when it is in a folded position.

[0101] First, as illustrated in FIG. 7, when the sofa frame module (100) of the multi-person modular reclining sofa (1) according to one embodiment of the present invention is in the basic position, the backrest frame (120) is maintained in a substantially vertical state, and the seat frame (130) rotatably connected thereto is maintained in a substantially horizontal state, so that the entire structure can be maintained in an 'L' shape.

[0102] At this time, the seat frame (130) is in a state of being retracted in the direction toward the backrest frame (120), i.e., toward the rear end of the side frame (110), in order to maintain a roughly horizontal state, and accordingly, the control adapter (160) can be positioned in a portion of the gentle slope (164a) of the operating frame (140) toward the front end of the side frame (110).

[0103] On the other hand, as illustrated in FIG. 9, when the sofa frame module (100) of the multi-seater modular reclining sofa (1) according to one embodiment of the present invention is in a reclined position (inclined position), the backrest frame (120) is rotated at a certain angle toward the rear end of the side frame (110) based on the side frame (110), and the seat frame (130) rotatably connected thereto moves toward the front end of the side frame (110), so that the front end of the seat frame (130) can be slightly raised. At this time, the control adapter (160) can be positioned at a portion of the gentle slope (164a) of the operating frame (140) toward the rear end of the side frame (110).

[0104] In this way, a multi-person modular reclining sofa (1) according to one embodiment of the present invention is configured to rotatably connect a backrest frame (120) and a seat frame (130) to a pair of side frames (110), and adjust the angles of the backrest frame (120) and the seat frame (130) using a pair of control adapters (160) connected to a fixed shaft (150) provided at the front end of the side frame (110) and a pair of operating frames (140) provided at the lower end of the seat frame (130), thereby providing a multi-person modular reclining sofa (1) that is easy to assemble, disassemble, and maintain while allowing individual angle adjustment for each user with a simpler structure.

[0105] In addition, since the control adapter (160) according to one embodiment of the present invention is arranged at the lower front end of the side frame (110), the multi-seater modular reclining sofa (1) can be easily applied to a multi-seater modular reclining sofa (1) in which a plurality of sofa frame modules (100) are arranged side by side, and since the control adapter (160) installed in each sofa frame module (100) can be individually operated to individually adjust the inclination of each sofa frame module (100), the user's operating convenience can be improved.

[0106] In addition, according to one embodiment of the present invention, a multi-seater modular reclining sofa (1) is configured such that the control adapter (160) coupled to the fixed shaft (150) can be coupled and detached around the fixed shaft (150) so that the control adapter (160) can be directly attached and detached to the side of the fixed shaft (150) while the operating frame (140) and the control adapter (160) are installed at the lower end of the seat frame (130), thereby facilitating the assembly and disassembly of the control adapter (160) to the fixed shaft (150). In addition, since the fixed shaft (150) does not need to be separately disassembled from the sofa frame module (100) for replacement of the control adapter (160) during the maintenance stage, the convenience of work can be improved during the assembly, disassembly, and replacement of the multi-seater modular reclining sofa (1).

[0107] In addition, the multi-person modular reclining sofa (1) according to one embodiment of the present invention has a friction member (164) having an inclined surface (164a) formed so that the control adapter (160) contacts the lower surface of the operating frame (140) at one end of the adjustment knob (163), so that the frictional force at the contact surface with the operating frame (140) can be easily adjusted, and thus the inclination strength of the seat frame (130) and the backrest frame (120) can be more easily adjusted by the control adapter (160).

[0108] Hereinafter, with reference to FIGS. 9 and 10, the structure of the intermediate leg module (200) and the coupling structure of the sofa frame module (100) constituting the multi-person modular reclining sofa (1) according to one embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail.

[0109] FIG. 9 is a perspective view showing the structure of an intermediate leg module and the coupling structure of a sofa frame module constituting a multi-seater modular reclining sofa according to one embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 10 is an exploded perspective view showing the structure of an intermediate leg module and the coupling structure of a sofa frame module constituting a multi-seater modular reclining sofa according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0110] As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the intermediate bridge module (200) can be coupled to connect the lower portions of the side frames (110) provided on each of two adjacent sofa frame modules (100A, 100B) among a plurality of sofa frame modules (100).

[0111] As shown in FIGS. 9 and 10, the intermediate bridge module (200) may be configured to include an intermediate bridge fixing body (210), at least one intermediate bridge (220), and a pair of intermediate bridge connecting members (230).

[0112] The intermediate bridge fixing body (210) has a thin plate shape and can be closely attached to the lower surface of the first side frame (110A) provided in the first sofa frame module (100A) among a plurality of adjacent sofa frame modules (100) and the lower surface of the second side frame (110B) provided in the second sofa frame module (100B) adjacent to the first side frame (110A). In addition, the intermediate bridge (220) is provided on the lower surface of the intermediate bridge fixing body (210) and can be formed as an integral part with the intermediate bridge fixing body (210) by welding or the like, or can be assembled and connected to each other by a separate fastening means (not shown).

[0113] A pair of intermediate bridge joint members (230) can fix and connect the intermediate bridge fixing body (210) to the lower surface of the first side frame (110A) and the lower surface of the second side frame (110B) while the intermediate bridge fixing body (210) is in close contact with the lower surface of the first side frame (110A) and the lower surface of the second side frame (110B).

[0114] Preferably, as illustrated in FIG. 10, a first coupling hole (111A) and a second coupling hole (111B) are formed in the lower surface of the first side frame (110A) provided in the first sofa frame module (100A) and the lower surface of the second side frame (110B) provided in the second sofa frame module (100B) so as to penetrate in the vertical direction, respectively, and a pair of first intermediate leg fixing holes (211) and second intermediate leg fixing holes (212) may be formed in the intermediate leg fixing body (210) so as to penetrate in the vertical direction at positions corresponding to the first coupling hole (111A) and the second coupling hole (111B), respectively.

[0115] In addition, the intermediate bridge joint member (230) may be composed of a bolt member (231) that is inserted and coupled into the first coupling hole (111A) or the second coupling hole (111B) through the first intermediate bridge fixing hole (211) or the second intermediate bridge fixing hole (212), and a nut member (232) that fixes and couples the bolt member (231) while the bolt member (231) is inserted and coupled into the first coupling hole (111A) or the second coupling hole (111B).

[0116] Meanwhile, a multi-seater modular reclining sofa (1) according to one embodiment of the present invention may include a pair of armrest frame modules (400) instead of a plurality of outer leg modules (300), unlike the multi-seater modular reclining sofa (1) illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 2.

[0117] FIG. 11 is a perspective view showing a modified example of a multi-seater modular reclining sofa according to one embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 12 is an exploded perspective view showing a modified example of a multi-seater modular reclining sofa according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0118] As shown in FIGS. 11 and 12, the armrest frame module (400) may be provided in pairs and may be coupled to the side of a side frame (110) provided on the outer side of each of a pair of sofa frame modules (100) positioned at opposite ends among a plurality of sofa frame modules (100).

[0119] As illustrated in FIGS. 11 and 12, the armrest frame module (400) may be configured to include an armrest frame (410) equipped with an armrest cushion, etc., and an armrest leg (420) coupled to the lower end of the armrest frame (410). In FIGS. 11 and 12, the armrest leg (420) is shown as having a '┌┐' shape, but is not limited thereto and may be implemented in various shapes such as a '└┘' or a '┰┭' shape.

[0120] As illustrated in FIGS. 11 and 12, in a modified example of a multi-person modular reclining sofa (1) according to one embodiment of the present invention, a sofa frame module (100) having the same structure so that the inclination can be individually adjusted is arranged in a required number, and then an appropriate number of intermediate leg modules (200) (in the example of FIG. 1, two intermediate leg modules (200) for the first sofa frame module (100A) and the second sofa frame module (100B)) are connected between each of two adjacent sofa frame modules (100) to connect a plurality of sofa frame modules (100) to each other, and then a pair of armrest frame modules (400) having the same structure are connected to each side of a pair of sofa frame modules (100) arranged at both ends, thereby enabling easy manufacturing in a shorter period of time.

[0121] In this way, the multi-seater modular reclining sofa (1) according to one embodiment of the present invention is manufactured by using a plurality of sofa frame modules (100) having the same structure and a plurality of intermediate bridge modules (200) connecting two adjacent sofa frame modules (100) between the plurality of sofa frame modules (100) arranged adjacent to each other, thereby not only making assembly, disassembly, and maintenance easier with a simpler structure, but also reducing manufacturing costs and shortening manufacturing time.

[0122] In addition, a multi-person modular reclining sofa (1) according to one embodiment of the present invention is manufactured by arranging a plurality of sofa frame modules (100) that can be individually tilt-adjusted side by side, so that assembly, disassembly, and replacement work can be performed only on a specific sofa frame module (100) as needed, thereby reducing the time required for assembly, disassembly, and replacement work and improving the convenience of work.

[0123] In addition, a multi-seater modular reclining sofa (1) according to one embodiment of the present invention has, in addition to a plurality of sofa frame modules (100) and a plurality of intermediate leg modules (200), an outer leg module (300) or an armrest frame module (400) that can be selectively connected to a pair of sofa frames disposed at both ends, thereby providing a multi-seater modular reclining sofa (1) with various structures according to the user's preference.

[0124] Meanwhile, this specification and drawings disclose preferred embodiments of the present invention. Although specific terms are used, they are used in a general sense only to easily explain the technical content of the present invention and to aid in understanding the invention, and are not intended to limit the scope of the present invention. It will be apparent to those skilled in the art that other modifications based on the technical concept of the present invention are possible in addition to the embodiments disclosed herein.
