A foldable chair is disclosed. The foldable chair includes: a foldable chair frame switchable between a folded state and an unfolded state; an armrest telescopically mounted to the chair frame and movable relative to the chair frame between a retracted position and an extended position; and a locking mechanism mounted to the chair frame and configured to lock the armrest; wherein the locking mechanism is configured to lock the armrest in the extended position when the chair frame is in the unfolded state, and to unlock the armrest in response to the chair frame switched to the folded state to allow the armrest to be moved from the extended position toward the retracted position.
