Abstract
Description
Upholstery hook clip, seat back, vehicle seat and method for manufacturing seat back
[0001] The present invention relates to an upholstery hooking clip, a seat back, a vehicle seat, and a method for manufacturing the seat back, and more particularly to an upholstery hooking clip used in a vehicle seat, a seat back, a vehicle seat, and a method for manufacturing the seat back.
[0002] Conventionally, a seat cover hooking clip provided inside a padding material of a vehicle seat (seat back) has been known. The seat cover hooking clip is disposed in a position facing a seat cover hanging groove formed on the surface of the padding material, and is a clip for hooking a hook-receiving portion provided on the seat cover of the vehicle seat (see, for example, Patent Documents 1 and 2).
[0003] For example, the upholstery fastening clips described in Patent Document 1 are embedded in the seat back padding and are arranged at intervals along the upholstery hanging grooves of the padding. The upholstery fastening clips are configured to engage with fastening portions attached to the terminal portions of the seat back upholstery. This allows the upholstery to be fixed to the seat back padding. The same applies to Patent Document 2.
[0004] International Publication No. 2021 / 177405 Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2015-3578
[0005] However, there has been a demand for an upholstery hooking clip such as that disclosed in Patent Document 1 that is stronger so as to withstand repeated tensile loads when an occupant sits in the vehicle seat. That is, there has been a demand for an upholstery hooking clip that can be firmly fixed inside the padding material. In particular, in the case of a vehicle seat equipped with a side airbag device as disclosed in Patent Document 2, an end portion of the upholstery material and an end portion of a guide member (webbing) that guides the deployment of the airbag may be hooked to the upholstery hooking clip. In such cases, there has been a demand for an upholstery hooking clip that can withstand higher tensile strength.
[0006] An object of the present invention is to provide a seat back, a vehicle seat, and a method for manufacturing a seat back, which can be firmly fixed to the inside of a padding material. Another object of the present invention is to provide a seat back, a vehicle seat, and a method for manufacturing a seat back, which can withstand high tensile strength in a vehicle seat equipped with a side airbag device.
[0007] The above-mentioned problem is solved by the upholstery hooking clip of the present invention, which is provided inside a padding material of a vehicle seat, and is arranged at a position facing an upholstery hanging groove formed on the surface of the padding material, and is for hooking a hooked portion provided on the upholstery material of the vehicle seat, and which comprises a clip base plate extending along the extending direction of the upholstery hanging groove, a hooking portion provided so as to protrude from the surface of the clip base plate, and arranged at the center in the width direction of the clip base plate, and for hooking the hooked portion of the upholstery material, and an overhanging portion provided so as to protrude from the surface of the clip base plate, and arranged at a side portion in the width direction of the clip base plate, and overhanging outward beyond the side portion in the width direction of the clip base plate, and the overhanging portion is spaced apart in the extending direction of the clip base plate. The problem is solved by the provision of a cover clip having first and second post members spaced apart from each other and protruding from a surface of the clip substrate, a plurality of reinforcing members spaced apart in an extension direction of the clip substrate and disposed between the first and second post members and protruding from a surface of the clip substrate, and an overhanging piece supported from below by the first, second and plurality of reinforcing members and overhanging outward beyond the clip substrate, wherein the latching portion and the overhanging piece each extend in the extension direction of the clip substrate, the first and second post members are disposed at the ends of the overhanging pieces in the extension direction, the number of reinforcing members exceeds the number of post members including the first and second post members, and the plurality of reinforcing members are arranged in a line along the latching portion. Specifically, the upholstery hook clip includes a clip base plate, a hook portion, and a protruding portion, the protruding portion being provided inside the padding. The protruding portion has a protruding piece that protrudes outward beyond the clip base plate, and the protruding piece is supported by a first post member, a second post member, and a plurality of reinforcing members. Here, the number of reinforcing members is greater than the number of post members, including the first and second post members, and the plurality of reinforcing members are arranged in a line along the hook portion.By providing such a configuration, the cover hooking clip can be firmly fixed inside the pad material.
[0008] In this case, the upholstery hook clip is embedded in the padding of the vehicle seat, at least a portion of the hook portion is configured to be exposed from the padding, the protruding portions are arranged on the left and right so as to sandwich the hook portion therebetween, the first pillar member and the second pillar member are arranged in positions sandwiching the hook portion therebetween in a side view of the upholstery hook clip, and the plurality of reinforcing members are arranged in positions overlapping the hook portions in a side view of the upholstery hook clip. With the above configuration, the upholstery hook clip can be more firmly fixed inside the padding.
[0009] In this case, in a front view of the upholstery hook clip, a first width of each of the first and second pillar members may be wider than a first width of the reinforcing member, and in a side view of the upholstery hook clip, a second width of each of the first and second pillar members may be wider than a second width of the reinforcing member. The reinforcing member may include a first reinforcing member and a second reinforcing member different from the first reinforcing member, the first reinforcing member having a first extending portion extending upward from the clip substrate and a second extending portion extending from an upper end of the first extending portion outward in a width direction of the clip substrate, the second reinforcing member having a curved shape and extending upward from the clip substrate and protruding outward in the width direction of the clip substrate, and in a front view of the upholstery hook clip, a gap formed between the curved portion of the second reinforcing member and the latch portion may be larger than a gap formed between a corner of the first reinforcing member and the latch portion. With the above-described configuration, the upholstery hooking clip can be more suitably fixed inside the pad material.
[0010] In this case, the first reinforcing members and the second reinforcing members are preferably arranged alternately in the extension direction of the clip base plate, and the connecting portion of the second reinforcing member that is connected to the protruding piece is preferably wider than the connecting portion of the first reinforcing member that is connected to the protruding piece in a top view of the upholstery hook clip. The latching portions are preferably arranged on the left and right sides of the clip base plate at a distance from each other in the width direction central portion, and the thickness of the clip base plate in the vertical direction is preferably greater than the distance between the latching tips of the left and right latching portions and greater than the thickness of the protruding piece in the vertical direction. This configuration allows the upholstery hook clip to be more suitably fixed inside the padding material, and also allows the latched portion of the upholstery end portion to be suitably hooked onto the latching portion.
[0011] In this case, the upholstery hooking clip is a clip for hooking the hooked portion attached to both an end portion of the upholstery material of the vehicle seat and an end portion of a guide member that guides the deployment of an airbag of the vehicle seat, and is preferably positioned at a position facing the end portion of the upholstery material and the end portion of the guide member. With the above configuration, it is possible to realize an upholstery hooking clip that can withstand high tensile strength in a vehicle seat equipped with a side airbag device.
[0012] The above-mentioned object is also achieved by the seat back of the present invention, which is a seat back equipped with the above-mentioned skin hooking clip, the seat back including the pad material, the skin material covering the pad material, the skin hooking clip, and a skin attaching clip arranged in a position in the skin hanging groove different from the skin hooking clip for attaching a mounting portion provided on the skin material, the skin hooking clip being a clip for hooking the mounting portion attached to both an end portion of the skin material and an end portion of a guide member arranged on the seat back for guiding deployment of an airbag, the skin attaching clip being a clip attached to the end portion of the skin material and not to the end portion of the guide member, the skin hooking clip being arranged in a position corresponding to the end portion of the guide member when viewed from the front of the seat back, and the skin attaching clip being arranged in a position different from the end portion of the guide member. With the above-mentioned configuration, a seat back equipped with a skin hooking clip that can be firmly fixed inside the pad material can be realized. Furthermore, with the above-mentioned configuration, the cover hook clips can be placed at positions corresponding to the terminals of the guide members, and simple cover attachment clips that do not require a relatively high tensile strength can be placed at positions where there are no terminals of the guide members, thereby reducing costs such as material costs.
[0013] The above-mentioned object is also achieved by the vehicle seat of the present invention, which includes the above-mentioned seat back. The above-mentioned object is also achieved by the vehicle seat of the present invention, which includes the above-mentioned seat back, and which further includes a side airbag device for absorbing an impact applied from the side of the vehicle, the side airbag device being provided in one of left and right side portions of the seat back, the side airbag device having the guide member for guiding the deployment of the airbag, the upholstery hooking clip being arranged in the upholstery hanging groove located on the one side portion side in the width direction of the seat back, and the upholstery attaching clip being arranged in the upholstery hanging groove located on the other side portion side in the width direction of the seat back.
[0014] The above-mentioned object can be achieved by a method for manufacturing a seat back of the present invention, wherein the seat back has a pad material, an upholstery material, and upholstery hooking clips, and the method includes preparing the pad material and covering the pad material with the upholstery material, wherein in preparing the pad material, the upholstery hooking clips are embedded in positions facing upholstery hanging grooves formed in the surface of the pad material, and in covering the pad material with the upholstery material, hooked portions provided on the upholstery material are hooked onto the upholstery hooking clips embedded in the pad material, and the upholstery hooking clips include a clip substrate extending along the extension direction of the upholstery hanging grooves, a hooking portion that protrudes from the surface of the clip substrate and is located at the center in the width direction of the clip substrate, and a hooking portion that hooks the hooked portion of the upholstery material, and a hooking portion that protrudes from the surface of the clip substrate and is located at the side in the width direction of the clip substrate, and a protruding portion that protrudes outward beyond the side portion in the width direction of the clip substrate, the protruding portion comprising: first and second pillar members that are spaced apart in the extension direction of the clip substrate and protrude from the surface of the clip substrate; a plurality of reinforcing members that are spaced apart in the extension direction of the clip substrate and are arranged between the first and second pillar members and protrude from the surface of the clip substrate; and a protruding piece that is supported from below by the first pillar member, the second pillar member and the plurality of reinforcing members and protrudes outward beyond the clip substrate, the hanging portion and the protruding piece each extend in the extension direction of the clip substrate, the first pillar member and the second pillar member are each arranged at the end of the protruding piece in the extension direction, and the number of reinforcing members exceeds the number of pillar members including the first pillar member and the second pillar member, and a plurality of reinforcing members are arranged side by side along the hanging portion.
[0015] According to the present invention, a skin hooking clip that can be firmly fixed inside the padding material can be realized. Furthermore, according to the present invention, the skin hooking clip can be more suitably fixed inside the padding material, and the hooked portion of the skin edge portion can be suitably hooked onto the hooking portion. Furthermore, according to the present invention, a skin hooking clip that can withstand high tensile strength can be realized in a vehicle seat equipped with a side airbag device. Furthermore, according to the present invention, the skin hooking clip can be arranged in a position corresponding to the edge portion of the guide member, and a simple skin attachment clip that does not require relatively high tensile strength can be arranged in a position where there is no edge portion of the guide member. This reduces costs, such as material costs.

[0017] Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 18C. This embodiment relates to a "seat back" and a "vehicle seat" equipped with a seat back clip. This embodiment also relates to a "seat back manufacturing method." The side of the seat back of a vehicle seat on which an occupant sits is the front side (seat front side). The side of the seat cushion on which an occupant sits is the upper side (seat upper side).
[0018] <Vehicle Seat> First, the vehicle seat S will be described with reference to Figures 1 to 4. As shown in Figure 1, the vehicle seat S is a vehicle seat that is a front seat or a middle seat that is disposed in a front position of the vehicle. Note that the vehicle seat S may also be a rear seat.
[0019] As shown in FIGS. 1 to 4 , the vehicle seat S includes an upholstery hooking clip 30 and an upholstery attachment clip 60. The upholstery hooking clip 30 is embedded within the padding 10 of the seat back 2 and is arranged along upholstery hanging grooves 11, 12 formed on the surface of the padding 10. The upholstery hooking clip 30 hooks a hooking member 25 attached to both the upholstery 20 and a webbing 92 that guides the deployment of an airbag module 91. On the other hand, the upholstery attachment clip 60 attaches a mounting member 26 attached only to the upholstery 20, and is not connected to the webbing 92. As shown in FIGS. 5 and 11 , the upholstery hooking clip 30 has a shape that is more resistant to tensile loads than the upholstery attachment clip 60. On the other hand, the upholstery attachment clip 60 has a relatively simple shape.
[0020] By providing the above-described upholstery hooking clip 30, the vehicle seat S can be provided with the upholstery material 20 (upholstery edge portions 21a, 22a) firmly suspended in the upholstery suspension groove 11 of the pad material 10. Furthermore, in the vehicle seat S equipped with the side airbag device 90, the upholstery material 20 and the webbing 92 can be firmly fixed to the pad material 10. This allows the airbag 91b to be more appropriately guided by the webbing 92 when the airbag 91b inflates and deploys.
[0021] The vehicle seat S comprises a seat body Sa having a seat cushion 1, a seat back 2, and a headrest 3, a plurality of upholstery hooking clips 30 and upholstery attachment clips 60 embedded inside the seat back 2, and a side airbag device 90 attached to a side portion of the seat back 2. The side airbag device 90 is a device for mitigating impacts applied to an occupant from the side of the vehicle, and is mounted inside the right portion of the seat back 2. The vehicle seat S further comprises a reclining device that rotatably connects the seat back 2 to the seat cushion 1, a height link device that connects the seat body Sa to the vehicle floor so that it can be raised and lowered, and a rail device that supports the seat body Sa so that it can move back and forth relative to the vehicle floor.
[0022] As shown in Fig. 1, the seat cushion 1 is a seating portion that supports an occupant (seat occupant) from below and includes a cushion frame 1a as a framework, a padding 1b placed on the cushion frame 1a, and a skin 1c that covers the cushion frame 1a and the padding 1b. The headrest 3 is a head portion that supports the seat occupant's head from behind and includes a head pillar 3a as a framework, a padding 3b, and a skin 3c. The seat back 2 will be described in detail below.
[0023] 1 to 4, the seat back 2 has a back central portion 2A and back side portions 2B located outboard of the back central portion 2A in the seat width direction. Specifically, the back central portion 2A and the back side portions 2B are partitioned by a first skin hanging groove 11 and a second skin hanging groove 12. The back central portion 2A is further partitioned into upper and lower portions by a third skin hanging groove 13.
[0024] As shown in Fig. 4, the back frame 2a is a rectangular frame-like body and has back side frames 2aa arranged on the left and right sides. A side airbag device 90 (airbag module 91) is attached to the outer surface of the right back side frame 2aa. The back frame 2a further has an upper frame connecting the upper ends of the back side frames 2aa, a lower frame connecting the lower ends of the back side frames 2aa, multiple elastic wires hooked to the back side frames 2aa and extending in the left-right direction, and a support plate held by the multiple elastic wires and supporting a seated occupant.
[0025] 2 to 4, the pad material 10 is a cushion material made of urethane foam or the like, and has a pad center portion 10A and left and right pad side portions 10B (side bolster portions). Up-down skin hanging grooves 11 and 12 are formed on the surface of the pad material 10 to separate the pad center portion 10A from the left and right pad side portions 10B. A third skin hanging groove 13 is also formed on the surface of the pad material 10, extending left and right to connect the first skin hanging groove 11 and the second skin hanging groove 12. Additionally, a pad opening 14 is formed in a side portion of the pad material 10 at a position corresponding to the tip of the airbag module 91.
[0026] In the first skin hanging groove 11, skin hooking clips 30 are arranged at intervals in positions corresponding to the side airbag device 90 (webbing 92). In addition, in the first skin hanging groove 11, skin attaching clips 60 are arranged at intervals in positions not corresponding to the side airbag device 90 (webbing 92) and in the second skin hanging groove 12. Specifically, in the front view of the seat back shown in FIG. 2 , the skin hooking clips 30 are provided in positions corresponding to the portions of the surface of the pad material 10 covered by the webbing 92 (positions overlapping the webbing terminal portions 92a). Although not shown, skin attaching clips 60 may be provided in the upper portions of the first skin hanging groove 11 and the second skin hanging groove 12, and in the third skin hanging groove 13.
[0027] As shown in Figures 3 and 4, the cover material 20 is a covering material that covers the padding 10 and includes a first cover material 21 that covers the pad center portion 10A and a second cover material 22 and a third cover material 23 that cover the pad side portion 10B. The second cover material 22 is also referred to as an inner cover material, and the third cover material 23 is also referred to as an outer cover material. The cover edge portion 21a of the first cover material 21, the cover edge portion 22a of the second cover material 22, and the webbing edge portion 92a of the webbing 92 are sewn together and suspended in the first cover suspension groove 11. Specifically, a latching member 25 is fixed to the cover edge portions 21a, 22a and the webbing edge portion 92a. The latching member 25 is then latched to a cover suspension clip 30 embedded in the padding 10. The latched member 25 is also called a resin trim or a trim cord, and is a long member (plate member) that is fixed to an end of the skin material 20 and extends along the end of the skin material 20 .
[0028] 3, the skin terminal portion 22b of the second skin 22, the skin terminal portion 23a of the third skin 23, the webbing terminal portion 92b of the webbing 92, and the webbing terminal portion 93a of the second webbing are sewn together, and this sewn portion forms a skin tearing portion 24. The skin tearing portion 24 is a portion that tears when the side airbag device 90 is deployed, and is located at the tip portion (front end portion) of the pad side portion 10B. In addition, the webbing terminal portion 93a of the second webbing 93 is sewn to the rear end portion of the third skin 23.
[0029] 2 and 12, in the left side portion of the seat back 2 (the side portion where the side airbag device 90 is not disposed), a mounting member 26 is fixed to the skin terminal portions 21a, 22a. The mounting member 26 is then attached to a skin mounting clip 60 embedded in the pad material 10. The mounting member 26 is a member (a long plate member) similar to the hooking member 25.
[0030] The cover hook clip 30 and the cover attachment clip 60 will be described later, and first the side airbag device 90 will be described. Note that the side airbag device 90 is attached to the right side of the seat back 2, but is not particularly limited thereto, and may be attached to the left side of the seat back 2.
[0031] <<Side Airbag Device>> As shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, the side airbag device 90 includes an inflatable airbag module 91, and webbing 92, 93 that guides the inflation and deployment of the airbag module 91 (airbag 91b).
[0032] The airbag module 91 includes a box-shaped module main body 91a, an inflatable airbag 91b, an inflator 91c that supplies gas to the inside of the airbag 91b, and a harness that is connected to the inflator 91c and supplies ignition power to the inflator 91c. The airbag module 91 is attached to the outer surface of the backside frame 2aa. Specifically, an assembly shaft 91d (assembly bolt) protruding from the outer surface of the inflator 91c passes through the module main body 91a and the backside frame 2aa and is fastened with an assembly nut 91e.
[0033] The airbag 91b is a bag-shaped member that inflates and deploys forward from a folded state when a side impact is applied to the vehicle. More specifically, the airbag 91b inflates when gas is supplied to the interior of the airbag 91b from an inflator 91c that is connected to the airbag 91b and serves as a gas generating source. The inflator 91c is a long, approximately cylindrical gas generating device that is arranged so that it is elongated in the vertical direction.
[0034] As shown in Figures 2 and 3, the webbing 92, 93 are guide members (cloth members) that guide the inflation direction of the airbag 91b toward the front of the vehicle body. The webbing 92 (first webbing) is arranged along the back surface of the second upholstery material 22 (inner upholstery material) and covers the pad side portion 10B and the airbag module 91 from the front. A webbing terminal portion 92a of the webbing 92 is sewn together with the upholstery terminal portions 21a, 22a and is hung in the first upholstery hanging groove 11. The other webbing terminal portion 92b is sewn together with the upholstery terminal portion 22b of the second upholstery material 22. The webbing terminal portion 92b is located in the upholstery tear portion 24.
[0035] The second webbing 93 is disposed along the back surface of the third upholstery 23 (outer upholstery) and covers the pad side portion 10B and the airbag module 91 from the sides. A webbing terminal portion 93a of the second webbing 93 is sewn together with the skin terminal portion 23a of the third upholstery 23. The other webbing terminal portion 93b is sewn to the rear end portion of the third upholstery 23. The webbing terminal portion 93a is located in the skin tear portion 24. Specifically, the webbing terminal portions 92b, 93a are sewn together with the skin terminal portions 22b, 23a and are disposed at the front end portion of the pad side portion 10B. The skin terminal portions 22b, 23a and the webbing terminal portions 92b, 93a are housed in a pad recess 15 formed in the front end portion of the pad side portion 10B.
[0036] <<Coverage Hook Clips>> As shown in FIGS. 2 to 10 , the coverage hook clips 30 are arranged in the first coverage hanging groove 11 of the padding material 10 and are used to hook the hooked member 25 of the coverage material 20. The coverage hook clips 30 are, for example, made of resin, and a plurality of coverage hook clips 30 are arranged along the extension direction of the first coverage hanging groove 11. The coverage hook clips 30 are embedded in the padding material 10 by, for example, insert molding, and are integrated with the padding material 10. At this time, as shown in FIG. 4 , the coverage hook clips 30 are fixed inside the padding material 10 with at least a portion of them (the hooking portion 40) exposed. The coverage hook clips 30 are arranged in positions facing the end portion of the coverage material 20 and the end portion of the webbing 92, and can detachably hook the hooked member 25.
[0037] The skin hook clip 30 comprises a clip substrate 31 extending along the extension direction of the first skin hanging groove 11, a hook portion 40 protruding from the surface of the clip substrate 31 and hooking the hooked member 25 of the skin material 20, and an overhanging portion 50 protruding from the surface of the clip substrate 31 and overhanging outward in the width direction of the clip substrate 31. The clip substrate 31 and the overhanging portion 50 are embedded inside the padding material 10 and function as anchors for the skin hook clip 30. In other words, the tensile strength of the skin hook clip 30 can be increased by devising the shape (overhanging shape) of the overhanging portion 50.
[0038] As shown in Figures 5 to 10, the clip substrate 31 is a long, rectangular substrate that serves as the base of the skin-hooking clip. The clip substrate 31 integrally comprises a long substrate center portion 32 and left and right substrate side portions 33 located on either side of the substrate center portion 32. A step is formed at the boundary between the substrate center portion 32 and the substrate side portions 33, and the height of the substrate center portion 32 is slightly lower than the height of the left and right substrate side portions 33. This allows the clip substrate 31 to be suitably held by the padding material 10 when embedded inside the padding material 10.
[0039] A plurality of through holes 34 are formed at left and right side portions of the clip substrate 31 at intervals in the length direction of the skin hook-retaining clip 30. The through holes 34 are arranged in a line in the length direction of the clip substrate 31 and in pairs in the width direction of the clip substrate 31. By forming a plurality of through holes 34, it is possible to fit a portion of the pad material 10 into the through holes 34 of the skin hook-retaining clip 30 when the pad material 10 is insert-molded. This increases the tensile strength of the skin hook-retaining clip 30.
[0040] 5 to 10, the hooking portions 40 are portions that hook the hooked member 25 of the skin material 20, and protrude upward from the substrate center portion 32 of the clip substrate 31. The hooking portions 40 are arranged in pairs with a gap in the width direction of the clip substrate 31. The left and right hooking portions 40 are provided in the center portion of the clip substrate 31. The hooking portions 40 extend along the length direction of the clip substrate 31.
[0041] The left and right latching portions 40 each have a latching body 41 that protrudes upward from the center of the clip base plate 31, a latching claw 42 that protrudes inward from the upper end of the latching body 41, and a reinforcing flange 43 that protrudes outward from the upper end of the latching body 41. The latched member 25 is housed in the space surrounded by the left and right latching portions 40.
[0042] As shown in Figure 6, the hook body 41 protrudes upward and curves slightly outward from the clip base plate 31. The hook claws 42 are hooks that hook the hooked member 25 and extend at a downward angle toward the center of the clip base plate 31. The reinforcing flange 43 is a reinforcing portion that reinforces the hook portion 40 and extends from the upper end of the hook body 41 toward the opposite side from the hook claws 42. The upper surfaces of the hook claws 42 and the reinforcing flange 43 form a continuous surface (curved surface). This makes it easy to hook the hooked member 25 from above onto the upholstery hook clip 30. In other words, the curved surface can guide the hooked member 25.
[0043] 5 to 10, the protruding portions 50 are portions that are embedded inside the pad material 10, protrude upward from the substrate side portions 33 of the clip substrate 31, and protrude outward in the width direction of the clip substrate 31. The protruding portions 50 are arranged in pairs with a gap between them in the width direction of the clip substrate 31. The left and right protruding portions 50 extend along the length direction of the clip substrate 31.
[0044] The left and right protrusions 50 have a first pillar member 51 and a second pillar member 52 that protrude from the surface of the clip substrate 31, a plurality of reinforcing members 53 that are arranged between the first pillar member 51 and the second pillar member 52 and protrude from the surface of the clip substrate 31, and protrusion pieces 54 and connecting pieces 55 that are supported from below by the first pillar member 51, the second pillar member 52 and the plurality of reinforcing members 53.
[0045] The first pillar member 51 and the second pillar member 52 are arranged in pairs at intervals in the length direction of the clip substrate 31 and are also arranged in pairs at intervals in the width direction of the clip substrate 31. The first pillar member 51 supports one end of the extension direction of the protruding piece 54 from below, and the second pillar member 52 supports the other end of the protruding piece 54 from below. Specifically, the first pillar member 51 and the second pillar member 52 are each arranged at the corners of the clip substrate 31 so as to surround the latch portion 40.
[0046] As shown in FIG. 9A, the first pillar member 51 and the second pillar member 52 each have an L-shaped longitudinal section and have first extending portions 51a, 52a extending upward from the clip substrate 31, and second extending portions 51b, 52b extending outward in the width direction of the clip substrate 31 from the upper ends of the first extending portions 51a, 52a.
[0047] 5 to 8, the number of reinforcing members 53 provided is greater than the number of pillar members including the first pillar member 51 and the second pillar member 52, and they are arranged so as to line up along the latch portion 40. The reinforcing members 53 have a first reinforcing member 53A and a second reinforcing member 53B that is different from the first reinforcing member 53A. The first reinforcing members 53A and the second reinforcing members 53B are arranged so as to line up alternately in the extension direction of the clip substrate 31.
[0048] 8 and 9C, the first reinforcing member 53A has an L-shaped longitudinal section and includes a first extending portion 53a extending upward from the clip substrate 31 and a second extending portion 53b extending from the upper end of the first extending portion 53a outward in the width direction of the clip substrate 31. A corner is formed at the inner portion where the first extending portion 53a and the second extending portion are connected. Also, a curved portion is formed at the outer portion where the first extending portion 53a and the second extending portion are connected.
[0049] 8 and 9B, the second reinforcing members 53B have a curved shape in vertical cross section, and extend upward from the clip base plate 31 while protruding outward in the width direction of the clip base plate 31. By alternately arranging the first reinforcing members 53A and the second reinforcing members 53B, the skin hooking clips 30 can be suitably fixed inside the padding material 10. In addition, the hooked members 25 of the skin material 20 can be suitably hooked to the hooking portions 40.
[0050] 9B and 9C , in a front view of the upholstery hook clip 30, a gap G1 formed between the curved portion of the second reinforcing member 53B and the hook portion 40 is larger than a gap G2 formed between the corner of the first reinforcing member 53A and the hook portion 40. This allows the upholstery hook clip 30 to be suitably inserted and fixed inside the padding 10.
[0051] As shown in Figures 5 to 8 (particularly Figure 8), the protruding pieces 54 are arranged in positions that protrude outward from the clip substrate 31 and extend linearly along the length of the clip substrate 31. The protruding pieces 54 are provided on the left and right sides of the clip substrate 31 with a gap in between in the width direction. The protruding pieces 54 are connected to the tip ends (upper ends) of the first pillar member 51, the second pillar member 52, and the multiple reinforcing members 53.
[0052] The connecting pieces 55 are provided at both ends of the left and right overhanging pieces 54, respectively, and extend continuously from the overhanging pieces 54. The connecting pieces 55 are arranged at the four corners of the upholstery hook clip 30. As shown in Figure 8, the connecting pieces 55 have a first extending portion 55a extending inward from the end of the overhanging piece 54, and a second extending portion 55b bending from the extending end of the first extending portion 55a and extending toward the first pillar member 51 (second pillar member 52).
[0053] The connecting piece 55 connects the end of the overhanging piece 54 to the middle part of the first pillar member 51 (second pillar member 52). An internal space R is formed between the connecting piece 55, the end of the overhanging piece 54, and the second extending part 51b (52b) of the first pillar member 51 (second pillar member 52). The padding material 10 bites into this internal space R, thereby firmly fixing the upholstery hooking clip 30 to the inside of the padding material 10.
[0054] 7 , in a side view of the upholstery hook clip 30, the first and second pillar members 51 and 52 are positioned so as to sandwich the hook portion 40 therebetween. The multiple reinforcing members 53 are positioned so as to overlap the hook portion 40. By arranging the first and second pillar members 51, 52, and multiple reinforcing members 53 in this manner, the protruding piece 54 and connecting piece 55 can be suitably supported. As a result, the upholstery hook clip 30 can be firmly fixed inside the padding material 10.
[0055] 9A to 9C , in a front view of the upholstery hook clip 30, the first width W1 of the first pillar member 51 and the second pillar member 52 is wider than the first width W2 of the reinforcing member 53. This allows the first pillar member 51 and the second pillar member 52 to suitably support the protruding piece 54 and the connecting piece 55. As a result, the upholstery hook clip 30 can be suitably fixed inside the padding material 10.
[0056] 8, in a top view of the upholstery hook clip 30, the connecting portion of the second reinforcing member 53B that is connected to the protruding piece 54 is formed to be wider than the connecting portion of the first reinforcing member 53A that is connected to the protruding piece 54. This allows the second reinforcing member 53B, which is located closer to the end of the protruding piece 54 in the extension direction, to favorably support the protruding piece 54. As a result, the upholstery hook clip 30 can be favorably fixed inside the padding material 10. Furthermore, the hooked member 25 of the upholstery material 20 can be favorably hooked to the hook portion 40.
[0057] In the above configuration, as shown in Fig. 6, the thickness T1 of the clip substrate 31 in the vertical direction is greater than the thickness T2 of the protruding piece 54 and the connecting piece 55 in the vertical direction. Furthermore, the thickness T1 of the clip substrate 31 in the vertical direction is greater than the distance between the hook tips of the left and right hook portions 40. This increases the rigidity of the clip substrate 31 and increases the tensile strength of the skin hook clip 30, which uses the clip substrate 31 as a base. As a result, the hooked member 25 of the skin material 20 can be appropriately hooked to the skin hook clip 30.
[0058] In the above configuration, as shown in Figure 8, the length L1 from the end of the clip substrate 31 to the base of the hook portion 40 is approximately the same as the length L2 from the inner end of the first pillar member 51 (second pillar member 52) to the outer end of the protruding piece 54. Alternatively, the length L1 is longer than the length L2. This ensures the length of the clip substrate 31, increasing the rigidity of the clip substrate 31. In other words, the tensile strength of the skin hook clip 30, which uses the clip substrate 31 as a base, is increased.
[0059] 8, a chamfered portion 42a is formed on each end of the hook claw 42 in the length direction of the hook portion 40. This makes it easier to insert the hooked member 25 of the upholstery material 20 between the left and right hook claws 42.
[0060] The upholstery hook clip 30 may be modified as shown in Modification 1 in Fig. 10 . Fig. 10 is a cross-sectional view of the upholstery hook clip 30 taken along the line A-A. As shown in Fig. 10 , the surface of the clip substrate 31 may be hollowed out (cut out) around the base of the hook portion 40. By forming a hollowed-out portion 35 around the base of the hook portion 40 in this manner, the hook portion 40 can be made flexible (flexible). As a result, the hooked member 25 of the upholstery material 20 can be inserted easily.
[0061] 2 , 11 and 12 , the skin attachment clips 60 are arranged in the second skin hanging groove 12 of the padding material 10 and are used to hang the attached member 26 of the skin material 20. The skin attachment clips 60 are, for example, clips made of resin, and a plurality of the skin attachment clips 60 are arranged along the extension direction of the second skin hanging groove 12. The skin attachment clips 60 are embedded in the padding material 10 during molding, for example, by insert molding, and are integrated with the padding material 10. The skin attachment clips 60 have a simpler shape than the skin hanging clips 30.
[0062] The upholstery attachment clip 60 comprises a clip base plate 61, a hook portion 70 that protrudes from the surface of the clip base plate 61 and hooks the attached member 26 of the upholstery material 20, and a protruding portion 80 that protrudes from the surface of the clip base plate 61 and protrudes outward in the width direction of the clip base plate 61. The upholstery attachment clip 60 has a similar shape to the upholstery hook clip 30. Therefore, a description of the same shape and configuration as the upholstery hook clip 30 will be omitted.
[0063] The four corners of the clip substrate 61 are chamfered. Furthermore, through holes 64 are formed in the surface of the clip substrate 61. The left and right hook portions 70 are arranged at slightly different positions in the length direction of the clip substrate 61. As shown in Figures 5 and 11, the left and right hook portions 70 are shorter than the left and right hook portions 40. This makes it possible to slim the skin-attaching clip 60 and reduce material costs.
[0064] The hook claws 72 and the reinforcing flanges 73 of the hook portion 70 are formed in parts, respectively, so that the upholstery attachment clip 60 can be made slim while still ensuring a certain degree of tensile strength.
[0065] The protruding portion 80 has a first pillar member 81, a second pillar member 82, a reinforcing member 83, a protruding piece 84, and a connecting piece 85. One reinforcing member 83 is disposed between the first pillar member 81 and the second pillar member 82. This allows the overall length of the upholstery attachment clip 60 to be shortened, making it slimmer.
[0066] In the above configuration, as shown in Figures 11 and 12, the hook claws 72 are partially provided on the hook body 71. This makes it easier to insert the attached member 26 of the upholstery material 20 between the left and right hook claws 72. Comparing Figures 6 and 12, the distance between the left and right hook claws 72 is slightly smaller than the distance between the left and right hook claws 42. This is to increase the flexibility of the hook portion 70 of the upholstery attachment clip 60 so that it does not affect the insertion of the attached member 26.
[0067] In the above configuration, it is preferable to use different colors for the upholstery hook clips 30 and the upholstery attachment clips 60 in order to easily distinguish them from each other. This makes it easier to prevent these clips from being assembled incorrectly. For example, it is preferable to color the upholstery hook clips 30 yellow and the upholstery attachment clips 60 blue. This allows the colors to be different from the colors of the pad material 10, the upholstery material 20, and the webbing 92.
[0068] As described above, it is preferable to arrange the upholstery hook clip 30 at a position corresponding to the terminal portion of the webbing 92, and to arrange a simple upholstery attachment clip 60 that does not require high tensile strength at a position where there is no terminal portion of the webbing 92. This makes it possible to realize the upholstery hook clip 30, seat back 2, and vehicle seat S that can withstand the tensile load applied when an occupant is seated and the tensile load applied when the airbag is deployed, while keeping costs such as material costs down.
[0069] <<Coverage Hook Clip of Second Embodiment>> Next, a coverage hook clip 130 of a second embodiment will be described with reference to Fig. 13A and Fig. 13B. Note that a description of the same content as that of the coverage hook clip 30 described above will be omitted.
[0070] The upholstery hook clip 130 includes a clip base plate 131, left and right hook portions 140, and left and right protruding portions 150. The protruding portions 150 include a first pillar member 151, a second pillar member 152, a plurality of reinforcing members 153 arranged between the first pillar member 151 and the second pillar member 152, protruding pieces 154, and connecting pieces 155. The reinforcing members 153 include a first reinforcing member 153A and a second reinforcing member 153B.
[0071] In the above configuration, as shown in FIG. 13A , the protruding portion 150 further includes a second connecting piece 156 connecting the first reinforcing member 153A and the second reinforcing member 153B. The second connecting piece 156 extends in the longitudinal direction of the clip board 131 and connects a corner of the first reinforcing member 153A to a corner of the second reinforcing member 153B. In other words, an internal space is formed by the first reinforcing member 153A, the second reinforcing member 153B, the protruding piece 154, and the second connecting piece 156. This increases the rigidity of the protruding portion 150. Furthermore, the padding can be suitably inserted into the protruding portion 150.
[0072] In the above configuration, as shown in Fig. 13B, the outer portion of the first pillar member 151 is curved. The second pillar member 152 also has a similar curved shape. By slimming down the first pillar member 151 and the second pillar member 152 in this way, the padding material can be inserted into the protruding portion 150. As a result, the tensile strength of the upholstery hooking clip 130 can be increased.
[0073] <<Third Embodiment>> Next, a cover hook clip 230 according to a third embodiment will be described with reference to Figures 14A and 14B. Note that a description of the same content as that of the cover hook clip 30 will be omitted.
[0074] The skin hook clip 230 includes a clip base plate 231, left and right hook portions 240, and left and right protruding portions 250. The protruding portion 250 includes a first pillar member 251, a second pillar member 252, a plurality of reinforcing members 253 (253A, 253B), a protruding piece 254, a connecting piece 255, and a second connecting piece 256.
[0075] 14A and 14B, in the above configuration, two first pillar members 251 are provided at one end in the longitudinal direction of the protruding portion 250, with a slight gap between them. That is, the two (plurality of) first pillar members 251 support the end of the protruding piece 254 and the connecting piece 255 from below. At this time, one of the first pillar members 251 protrudes upward from a corner of the clip board 231 and supports the connecting piece 255 (the corner of the connecting piece 255) from below.
[0076] Like the first pillar members 251, two second pillar members 252 are also provided. That is, the four first pillar members 251 and the four second pillar members 252 support the protruding pieces 254 and connecting pieces 255 from below. This allows the upholstery hook-retaining clips 230 to be suitably fixed inside the padding material.
[0077] <<Fourth Embodiment>> Next, a cover hook clip 330 according to a fourth embodiment will be described with reference to Figures 15A and 15B. Note that a description of the same content as that of the cover hook clip 30 described above will be omitted.
[0078] The skin hook clip 330 includes a clip base plate 331, left and right hook portions 340, and left and right protruding portions 350. The protruding portion 350 includes a first pillar member 351, a second pillar member 352, a plurality of reinforcing members 353 (353A, 353B), a protruding piece 354, a connecting piece 355, and a second connecting piece 356.
[0079] 15B , in a side view of the upholstery hook clip 330, the second width W3 of the first pillar member 351 and the second pillar member 352 is wider than the second width W4 of the reinforcing member 353. This allows the first pillar member 351 and the second pillar member 352 to suitably support the protruding piece 354 and the connecting piece 355. As a result, the upholstery hook clip 330 can be suitably fixed inside the padding material.
[0080] <<Fifth Embodiment>> Next, a skin hooking clip 430 according to a fifth embodiment will be described with reference to Figures 16A and 16B. Note that a description of the same content as that of the above-described skin hooking clip 30 will be omitted.
[0081] The upholstery hook clip 430 includes a clip base plate 431, left and right hook portions 440, and left and right protruding portions 450. The hook portion 440 includes a hook body 441, a hook claw 442, a reinforcing flange 443, and a hooking claw 444. The protruding portion 450 includes a first pillar member 451, a second pillar member 452, multiple reinforcing members 453, a protruding piece 454, a connecting piece 455, and a hook portion 457.
[0082] The grappling claws 444 are provided at the four corners of the hook portion 440 and extend toward the opposite side from the hook claw 442. The grappling claws 444 may be provided only at diagonal positions of the hook portion 440. Specifically, the grappling claws 444 have a first extending portion 444a extending downward from the base end of the hook claw 442, a second extending portion 444b extending outward from the lower end of the first extending portion 444a, and a claw portion 444c provided at the extending end of the second extending portion 444b. When a tensile load is applied to the hook portion 440 and the hook portion 444 (claw portion 444c) bends, the grappling claws 444 (claw portion 444c) come into contact with and are latched onto a hook portion 457 provided at the bottom of the protruding portion 450 (connecting piece 455). This increases the tensile strength of the upholstery hook clip 430. As a result, the skin hooking clip 430 can be suitably fixed inside the pad material.
[0083] <<Sixth Embodiment>> Next, a skin hooking clip 530 according to a sixth embodiment will be described with reference to Figures 17A and 17B. Note that a description of the same content as that of the above-described skin hooking clip 30 will be omitted.
[0084] The upholstery hook clip 530 includes a clip base plate 531, left and right hook portions 540, left and right protruding portions 550, and a clip clamping body 560. The clip base plate 531 has a plurality of through holes 534 that penetrate in the vertical direction. The protruding portion 550 has a first pillar member 551, a second pillar member 552, a reinforcing member 553, a protruding piece 554, and a connecting piece 555.
[0085] The clip clamping body 560 has a base portion 561 and a plurality of clamping portions 562 protruding upward from the left and right side portions of the base portion 561. The clamping portions 562 are assembled into the through holes 534 of the clip substrate 531, thereby integrating the clip substrate 531 and the clip clamping body 560. As a result, as shown in FIG. 17B , the padding material 10 (the pad portion of the padding material 10 facing the skin hanging groove 11) can be clamped between the clip substrate 531 and the clip clamping body 560. Specifically, the clip clamping body 560 is assembled from below to the skin hooking clip 530 (clip substrate 531) embedded in the padding material 10. Preferably, the bottom surface of the padding material 10 has an accommodating recess 16 capable of accommodating the clip clamping body 560. This allows the clip clamping body 560 to be compactly positioned in the depth direction of the skin hanging groove 11.
[0086] In the above-described configuration, the main body (clip base plate 531) of the skin hook clip 530 is disposed in the skin hanging groove 11 of the padding material 10. A portion of the padding material 10 is clamped between the clip base plate 531 and a clip clamping body 560 attached to the clip base plate 531. This allows the webbing 92 to be firmly supported when the airbag module 91 inflates and deploys.
[0087] In the above configuration, the clamping portion 562 of the clip clamping body 560 protrudes toward the clip substrate 531 and is assembled into the through-hole 534 of the clip substrate 531. This allows the clip 530 to be fixed inside the pad material with a simple structure.
[0088] In the above configuration, the through hole 534 is disposed between the latch portion 540 and the protruding portion 550 in the width direction of the clip 530. This allows the through hole 534 to be disposed in a relatively rigid portion of the clip substrate 531. This ensures the rigidity of the clip 530.
[0089] In the above configuration, the through-hole 534 is disposed between the first pillar member 551 and the second pillar member 552 (see FIG. 17A , or the top view of FIG. 8 ). This allows the through-hole 534 to be compactly disposed in the longitudinal direction of the clip 530. It is preferable that a portion (upper portion) of the through-hole 534 in the penetration direction is disposed within the skin hanging groove 11, and a portion (lower portion) of the through-hole 534 in the penetration direction is embedded in the padding material 10.
[0090] In the above configuration, as shown in FIG. 17B , the thickness of the clip clamping body 560 is greater than the thickness of the clip substrate 531. The material of the clip clamping body 560 is preferably more rigid than the material of the clip 530 body (clip substrate 531). This increases the rigidity of the clip clamping body 560. Furthermore, the webbing 92 can be firmly supported when the airbag module 91 is deployed. The body of the skin hooking clip 530 and the skin attaching clip 60 may be formed as a common component. In this case, the body of the skin hooking clip 530 and the clip clamping body 560 are preferably positioned relative to the portion supporting the webbing 92 (the portion requiring tensile strength).
[0091] 17A , the distance between the first clamping portion 562a and the second clamping portion 562b is different from the distance between the first clamping portion 562a and the third clamping portion 562c. This allows the clip clamping body 560 to be properly assembled to the main body (clip substrate 531) of the clip 530. In other words, incorrect assembly can be prevented.
[0092] In the above configuration, the pad material 10, the main body of the clip 530 (clip base plate 531), and the clip clamping body 560 are all different colors. Specifically, the pad material 10 is preferably light yellow, the main body of the clip 530 is preferably blue, and the clip clamping body 560 is preferably red. This allows each component to be properly identified.
[0093] <<Seventh Embodiment>> Next, a skin hooking clip 630 according to a seventh embodiment will be described with reference to Figures 18A to 18C. Note that a description of the same content as that of the skin hooking clip 30 described above will be omitted.
[0094] The seat back 2 of the vehicle seat S includes a back frame 2a serving as a skeleton, a padding material 10, a skin material 20 covering the surface of the padding material 10, a lining cloth 620 covering a portion of the back surface of the padding material 10, and a skin hooking clip 630. The lining cloth 620 may also be referred to as a back skin material. The skin hooking clip 630 includes a clip base plate 631, left and right hooking portions 640, left and right protruding portions 650, and a clip clamping body 660. The clip clamping body 660 includes a base portion 661, a plurality of clamping portions 662 protruding upward from left and right side portions of the base portion 661, and a protruding portion 663 protruding downward from a central portion of the base portion 661.
[0095] The lining cloth 620 is a sheet-like cloth member and is a strip-shaped body that is long in the vertical direction. The lining cloth 620 is provided on the side portion of the seat back 2, and is arranged between the back frame 2a and the pad material 10. Specifically, the lining cloth 620 is provided on the right side portion of the seat back 2 where the airbag module 91 is provided, and is arranged in front of the airbag module 91. The lining cloth 620 is attached to the back surface of the pad material 10. An opening 621 is formed in the lining cloth 620 in a portion corresponding to the upholstery hook clip 630.
[0096] 18A , the upper end of the first opening 621a is located higher than the upper end of the airbag module 91. The lower end of the third opening 621c is located lower than the lower end of the airbag module 91. The openings 621 are located at the same height as the airbag module 91 when viewed from the front of the seat, and are arranged side by side on the left and right. In other words, the openings 621 are located at the same height as at least a portion of the airbag module 91 in the up-down direction. By providing the lining cloth 620, the rigidity of the portion of the padding 10 where the lining cloth 620 is provided can be increased.
[0097] 18A , in the above configuration, a passage hole 622 is provided in the lining cloth 620 in a portion facing the airbag module 91. This makes it possible to suppress deformation of the padding 10 to which the lining cloth 620 is attached when the airbag module 91 inflates and deploys. Also, the deployment direction of the airbag module 91 can be guided toward the passage hole 622. In other words, the deployment direction of the airbag module 91 is not affected by the lining cloth 620.
[0098] In the above configuration, as shown in Fig. 18C, a lining cloth 620 is attached to the back surface of the pad material 10 along the back surface of the pad material 10. An opening 621 is formed in the lining cloth 620 in a portion corresponding to the clip 630. The clip clamping body 560 is assembled to the main body (clip base plate 531) of the clip 530 through the opening 621 in the lining cloth 620.
[0099] 18B and 18C , a protrusion 663 that can be gripped by an operator is formed on the back surface of the clip clamping body 560. The protrusion 663 is also referred to as a gripping portion. This allows an operator to easily assemble the clip clamping body 560 to the clip board 531 by gripping the protrusion 663.
[0100] <Method for Manufacturing Seat Back> Next, a method for manufacturing the seat back 2 (a method for manufacturing a vehicle seat S) will be described with reference to Figures 1 to 12. In the method for manufacturing the seat back 2, manufacturing steps other than those described below will not be described. The seat back 2 has a back frame 2a, a pad material 10, a cover material 20, and cover hooking clips 30.
[0101] First, the back frame 2a, which serves as the framework, is prepared. Next, the padding 10 is prepared and assembled to the back frame 2a. When preparing the padding 10, the skin hooking clips 30 are embedded in positions facing the first skin hanging grooves 11 formed on the surface of the padding 10. Preferably, the skin hooking clips 30 are embedded during molding of the padding 10 by insert molding, and are integrated with the padding 10.
[0102] The padding 10 is then covered with the skin 20. When covering the padding 10 with the skin 20, a hooked member 25 provided on the skin 20 is hooked onto a skin hooking clip 30 embedded in the padding 10. The skin hooking clip 30 in this case preferably has a clip substrate 31, a hooking portion 40, and a protruding portion 50. The protruding portion 50 preferably has a first pillar member 51, a second pillar member 52, a plurality of reinforcing members 53, and a protruding piece 54. The hooking portion 40 and the protruding piece 54 preferably extend along the extension direction of the clip substrate 31. Furthermore, the first pillar member 51 and the second pillar member 52 are preferably disposed at the end of the protruding piece 54 in the extension direction. It is preferable that the number of reinforcing members 53 is greater than the number of pillar members including the first pillar member 51 and the second pillar member 52, and that a plurality of reinforcing members 53 be arranged in a line along the latch portion 40.
