[0075] In some embodiments, the SDT procedure may be initiated with a transmission over Random Access Channel (RACH) configured via system information. The RACH configuration has critical impacts on user experience and overall network performance. The RACH optimization for the SDT could be considered for self-optimizing network. Specifically, the SDT related information may be included in the Random Access (RA) report for the RACH optimization.

[0076] A self-organizing network (SON) is an automation technology designed to make the planning, configuration, management, optimization and healing of mobile radio access networks simpler and faster. The SON functionality and behavior have been defined and specified in generally accepted mobile industry recommendations produced by organizations such as 3GPP (3rd Generation Partnership Project) and the NGMN (Next Generation Mobile Networks) . Self-organizing network functionalities are commonly divided into three major sub-functional groups (self-configuration functions, self-optimization functions, self-healing functions) , each containing a wide range of decomposed use cases. In some embodiments, the RA optimization may be used for self-optimization functions.

[0077] In some embodiments, the RACH configuration has an influence on user experience and overall network performance. The RACH collision probability, and therefore access setup delays, data resuming delays from the uplink (UL) unsynchronized state, handover delays, transition delays from RRC_INACTIVE, and beam failure recovery delays are all affected by the RACH settings.

[0078] In some embodiments, performing the RACH on the most suitable downlink beam is also important and may avoid unnecessary power ramping and failed RACH attempts. This is beneficial both for the network as well as for the attempting device; it allows to avoid unnecessary interference in the network and, also, reduce the experienced delay and UE energy consumption. In some embodiments, automatic RACH parameter settings can be enabled by collecting the RACH report from UE and by PRACH parameters exchange between gNodeBs (gNBs) . The RACH optimization is realized by UE providing RACH related information report to the NG RAN node, and by exchange of PRACH configuration of the normal UL carrier and the Supplementary Uplink (SUL)  carrier between the Next-Generation Radio Access Network (NG-RAN) node.

[0079] In the paragraphs below, some aspects of the present disclosure are provided, but the present disclosure is not limited thereto.

[0080] Aspect 1:

[0081] In SDT, at least one of a data volume threshold (e.g., sdt-DataVolumeThreshold) and / or a Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP) threshold (e.g., sdt-RSRP-Threshold, sdt-RSRP-ThresholdMT) can be configured to the UE, for the UE to determine whether to perform the SDT procedure initiated for Mobile Originated (MO) -SDT or Mobile Terminated (MT) -SDT. In some embodiments, the UE could initiate MO-SDT procedure if UL data awaiting transmission is less than or equal to the data volume threshold, the DL RSRP is above the configured SDT RSRP threshold, and / or a valid SDT resource is available. In some embodiments, UE initiates the MT-SDT if (or only if) the DL RSRP is above a configured threshold when receiving an mt-SDT indication in paging message. Otherwise, legacy Random Access procedure is initiated. The SDT procedure initiated for the MO-SDT can be performed either by Random Access procedure with 2-step RA type or 4-step RA type (e.g., RA-SDT, RACH resources configured via system information) or by configured grant Type 1 (e.g., Configured Grant (CG) -SDT, CG resources configured via dedicated signaling in RRCRelease) .

[0082] In some embodiments, the configured data volume threshold and / or RSRP threshold may impact user experiences and network performance on such as allocation of SDT resources (including RACH resources and CG resources configured for SDT) and common RACH resources. In some embodiments, if one of or both of the thresholds is set too rigorous, there may be a few UEs can initiate the SDT procedure and make use of the SDT resources. In some embodiments, a few UEs initiating the SDT procedure may lead to waste of resources reserved for SDT and bad user experiences. In some embodiments, bad user experiences indicate the expectation not satisfying the threshold to perform the SDT. On the other hand, if one of or both of the thresholds is set too loose, there may be too many UEs (some UEs with low DL RSRP) initiate the SDT procedure and thus the SDT resources may be congested / lead to resource contention, which may down-grade the SDT performance and / or the RA performance. Therefore, when the UE fails to initiate an SDT procedure and / or a legacy RA is initiated instead, it is beneficial to report SDT related information in the RA report to help the network (NW) to fine-tune the thresholds used for the UE to determine whether to initiate an SDT procedure and / or for RACH optimization.

[0083] In some embodiments, an indication to indicate whether the DL RSRP (when the UE intends to initiate the SDT transmission over RACH) is above or below the configured SDT RSRP threshold (e.g., sdt- RSRP-Threshold or sdt-RSRP-ThresholdMT) per RACH attempt can be included in the RA report (e.g., included in UEInformationResponse message) . In some embodiments, the configured SDT RSRP threshold and the actual / current DL RSRP (when initiating the SDT procedure) are reported in the RA report. In addition, an indication indicating whether the actual / current data volume awaiting transmission satisfies the data volume threshold can be included in the RA report. In some embodiments, the configured data volume threshold and the actual / current data volume awaiting transmission are included in the RA report.

[0084] In some embodiments, the actual / current data volume awaiting transmission may indicates the data volume awaiting transmission at a certain time when the UE want to initiate the SDT procedure, when the UE check the conditions for SDT initiation, and / or when the UE fails to initiate the SDT procedure and initiate the legacy RA procedure.

[0085] Similarly, in some embodiments, the actual / current DL RSRP may indicates the data DL RSRP at a certain time when the UE want to initiate the SDT procedure, when the UE check the conditions for SDT initiation, and / or when the UE fails to initiate the SDT procedure and initiate the legacy RA procedure.

[0086] In some embodiments, if the RA-SDT or the Mobile Terminated (MT) -SDT is completed successfully, the DL RSRP may be above the threshold. However, if the SDT is failed, there may be different causes, such as the SDT RSRP threshold or the data volume threshold is not satisfied, the corresponding timer (s) (e.g., T319a) expires and so on. In some embodiments, the indication may help the gNB to determine or rule out whether the RSRP is the failure cause when the SDT fails. Then the gNB may fine-tune the SDT RSRP threshold or other SDT configuration to reduce / avoid the SDT failure or invalid SDT transmission. This may further benefit the RACH optimization for SDT.

[0087] In some embodiments, as an example shown below, the UE may include the indication (e.g., dlRSRPAboveThreshold-SDT) per RACH attempt in RA report within a message (e.g., UEInformationResponse message) to indicate whether the DL RSRP is above or below the configured SDT RSRP threshold per RACH attempt can be included in the RA report.

[0088] Aspect 2:

[0089] In some embodiments, if the conditions for the data volume and the DL RSRP are satisfied for the MO-SDT (e.g., the SDT data volume awaiting transmission is less than or equal to a configured data volume threshold and the DL RSRP is above a configured RSRP threshold) or the condition for the DL RSRP is satisfied for the MT-SDT (e.g., the DL RSRP is above a configured RSRP threshold) , the UE could initiate the SDT procedure and first check if there are valid CG resources available for the SDT. If there are valid CG resources available for the SDT, the SDT procedure is initiated using CG resources, otherwise the SDT procedure is initiated using RACH resources.

[0090] In some embodiments, the RA is initiated for the SDT transmission if the conditions for the CG-SDT are not satisfied. In some embodiments, the CG-SDT related information (also referred to as info) is included in the RA report for the RA attempt for the SDT to let the gNB know why the CG-SDT is not satisfied. In some embodiments, the gNB could tune / configure the thresholds / limitation for the SDT using CG resources properly and adjust / coordinate the CG resources and RACH resources for the SDT comprehensively.

[0091] In some embodiments, the SDT procedure over CG resources can only be initiated with the valid UL Timing Alignment (TA) and the time gap between the initiation of the SDT procedure and first available CG occasion is less than a time threshold.

[0092] In some embodiments, the TA of the initial CG-SDT transmission is considered to be valid when at least one of the following conditions are fulfilled:

[0093] 1) the current RSRP value of the downlink pathloss reference has not increased / decreased by more than a threshold (e.g., the cg-SDT-RSRP-ChangeThreshold) , compared to the stored downlink pathloss reference RSRP value for TA validation; and / or

[0094] 2) a timer (e.g., cg-SDT-TimeAlignmentTimer) is running (e.g., an SDT-specific timing alignment timer configured by the network via dedicated signaling) .

[0095] In some embodiments, at least one of the pieces of following CG-SDT related information could be included in the RA report:

[0096] 1) the stored CG-SDT configuration (configured by the network) , including at least one of the following:

[0097] cg-SDT-RSRP-ThresholdSSB;

[0098] cg-SDT-MaxDurationToNextCG-Occasion;

[0099] cg-MT-SDT-MaxDurationToNextCG-Occasion;

[0100] cg-SDT-RSRP-ChangeThreshold; and / or

[0101] CG-SDT-Configuration.

[0102] 2)the information used to check / determine the TA validation, including at least one of the following:

[0103] - the stored DL RSRP for TA validation;

[0104] - the current DL RSRP when checking the TA validation for CG-SDT / when initiating (CG-) SDT procedure;

[0105] - the TA validation failed indication indicates the TA validation is failed; and / or

[0106] - an indication to indicate whether the SDT-specific timing alignment timer (e.g., cg-SDT-TimeAlignmentTimer) is running or not (e.g., when checking the TA validation for the CG-SDT) .

[0107] 3) timing related information, including at least one of the following:

[0108] - an indication (e.g., timeSinceCG-SDTConfig) indicates the time elapsed since reception of CG-SDT configuration (to the time when checking the TA validation for CG-SDT or when initiation of SDT procedure) ;

[0109] - an indication (e.g., timeGapTowardsFirstCGOccasion) indicates the time gap between the initiation of the SDT procedure and the first available CG occasion for initial CG-SDT transmission; and / or

[0110] - an indication (e.g., timeGap-Failed) indicates the time gap failed (e.g., the time gap between the initiation of the SDT procedure and the first available CG occasion is not less than the configured maximum time gap (e.g., cg-SDT-MaxDurationToNextCG-Occasion or cg-MT-SDT-MaxDurationToNextCG-Occasion) ) .

[0111] Aspect 3:

[0112] In the RA report, either RA success related information or RA failure related information for each RA attempt may be reported to the network for the RACH optimization.

[0113] In some embodiments, RACH resources for the MO-SDT (RA-SDT) are indicated by the feature combination (e.g., the featureCombination (e.g., at least one of smallData, redCap, nsag, msg3-Repetitions, msg1-Repetitions, eRedCap, etc. ) ) in feature combination preambles (e.g., FeatureCombinationPreambles)  within the RACH configuration (e.g., RACH-ConfigCommon / RACH-ConfigCommonTwoStepRA) .

[0114] In some embodiments, the network associates all possible preambles of an additional RACH configuration to one or more feature (s) or feature combination (s) . In some embodiments, if the SDT and / or other features are applicable for the RA procedure, the UE may set the feature combination (e.g., triggeredFeatureCombination) to indicate all the features triggering this random access procedure in the RA report entry. In some embodiments, the UE may set the feature combination (e.g., usedFeatureCombination) to indicate one or more features of the feature combination (e.g., FeatureCombination) associated to the random-access resource (RACH resources) used in the random-access procedure.

[0115] Furthermore, if the random-access procedure is initiated for the SDT and the SDT transmission was failed, the UE may include the sdt-Failed indication in the RA report.

[0116] In some embodiments, if only feature combination (e.g., triggeredFeatureCombination) including SDT feature (without sdt-Failed indication) is reported in the RA report, the gNB could determine that the RA is initiated for MO-SDT and the SDT transmission is successful.

[0117] In some embodiments, if both feature combination (e.g., triggeredFeatureCombination) including SDT feature and the sdt-Failed indication are reported in the RA report, the gNB could determine the RA is initiated for the MO-SDT and the SDT transmission is failed.

[0118] In some embodiments, if the MT-SDT procedure is initiated over the RACH, only the RACH resources not configured for the SDT can be used by the UE. In some embodiments, common RACH resources are used for the MT-SDT over the RACH. In some embodiments, the sdt-Failed indication could be reused to indicate the MT-SDT failure.

[0119] In some embodiments, if only the sdt-Failed indication is reported in the RA report while the feature combination (e.g., triggeredFeatureCombination) (including SDT feature) and / or the feature combination (e.g., usedFeatureCombination) are not included, it means that the common RACH resource is used (e.g., the feature combination indicated RACH resources for the SDT is not used) and the RA initiated for MT-SDT is failed.

[0120] In some embodiments, if the RA is initiated for the MT-SDT (e.g., common RACH resource is used / no feature combination with the SDT) and the RA is successful, the gNB may not know the purpose of the RA is for the MT-SDT transmission. To let gNB know a RA is initiated / triggered for the MT-SDT transmission, an indication (e.g., mt-SDT) indicating the MT-SDT can be included in raPurpose in RA report. An example is  shown below.

[0121] In some embodiments, if said indication (e.g., mt-SDT) is introduced to indicate the RA purpose for MT-SDT transmission in raPurpose:

[0122] - if said indication (e.g., mt-SDT) is included in the RA report while the sdt-Failed indication is not included, the gNB determines that the RA initiated for MT-SDT is successfully completed.

[0123] - if both said indication (e.g., mt-SDT) and the sdt-Failed indication are included in the RA report, the gNB determines that the RA initiated for MT-SDT is failed.

[0124] Aspect 4:

[0125] In some embodiments, the Layer 2 (L2) UE to UE (U2U) relay is expected to be supported in the gNB Centralized Unit (CU) –Distributed Unit (DU) split architecture. The signaling exchange between CU and DU to establish / modify / release PC5 Radio Link Control (RLC) channels for U2U relay UE / remote UE may be considered.

[0126] In some embodiments, for each PC5 RLC channel in the PC5 RLC channel to be setup / modified list in F1 UE context setup / modification request message, it may include the peer UE ID, which indicates the peer UE that a specific PC5 RLC channel towards to (i.e., the PC5 RLC channel is to be established between the UE and the peer UE) . In some embodiments, for the configuration of a U2U remote UE, the peer UE is the U2U relay UE.

[0127] In some embodiments, for the configuration of a U2U relay UE, the peer UE is the source remote UE or destination remote UE. The peer UE ID could be UE L2 ID or UE F1AP ID of the peer UE, or a destination index identifying a destination / peer UE.

[0128] In some embodiments, the length of the destination index is 5 bits. In some embodiments, the value is set to one index corresponding to SL (sidelink) destination identity associated to same destination reported in a message (e.g., the SidelinkUEInformationNR message (e.g., sl-TxResourceReqList, sl-TxResourceReqListDisc, sl-TxResourceReqListCommRelay and sl-TxResourceReqListL2-U2U, if present) ) .

[0129] In some embodiments, the value is indexed sequentially from 0 in the same ascending order of SL destination identity in a resource request list in Sidelink UE Information (e.g., the SidelinkUEInformationNR message (e.g., sl-TxResourceReqList, sl-TxResourceReqListDisc, sl-TxResourceReqListCommRelay and sl-TxResourceReqListL2-U2U) ) .

[0130] In some embodiments, when multiple lists are reported, the value is indexed sequentially across all the lists in the same order as presented in the Sidelink UE Information (e.g., the SidelinkUEInformaitonNR message) . In some embodiments, when multiple lists are reported, the value of the destination index is indexed sequentially across multiple resource request lists in a same order of the multiple resource request lists as presented in the Sidelink UE Information.

[0131] In some embodiments, in the response message (e.g., the F1 UE context setup / modification response) , the DU may confirm the PC5 RLC channels to be setup / modified / release or failed to be setup / modified, for each of the PC5 RLC channel in the response message, the peer UE ID may also be included.

[0132] In some embodiments, the DU may initiate PC5 RLC channels required to be modified / released in the F1 UE context modification required procedure, for each of the PC5 RLC channel in the UE context modification required / confirm message, the peer UE ID may also be included.

[0133] Aspect 5:

[0134] In some embodiments, the Rx (receiver) UE reports the sl-RLC-ModeIndication to indicate the RLC mode of the bi-directional SL-DRB associated with the RLC bearer configured by Tx (transmitter) UE, so that the serving gNB can avoid configuration collision for the bi-directional SL-DRB (Data Radio Bearer) , e.g., to avoid the case that RLC AM (acknowledged mode) mode for the bi-directional SL-DRB is configured by Tx UE while RLC UM (unacknowledged mode) for the bi-directional SL-DRB is configured by the Rx UE’s serving gNB. For the sl-RLC-ModeIndication reporting, QFI (QoS (Quality of Service) flow identity) is included to indicate the association of the RLC mode with a bi-directional SL-DRB.

[0135] In some embodiments, for L2 (layer 2) U2U (UE-to-UE) relay, there is no bi-directional SL-DRB between the relay UE and the remote UE. When SUI (sidelinkUEInformation) reporting, the relay UE needs to report the RLC mode (RLC AM mode or RLC UM mode) of the established PC5 Relay RLC channel configured by the source remote UE to its serving gNB, for the serving gNB to configure the same RLC mode for the PC5 Relay RLC channel (to avoid configuration collision) . In some embodiments, address the issue about how to indicate the association of the RLC mode with the PC5 Relay RLC channel.

[0136] In some embodiments, by the data packet including SRAP (Sidelink Relay Adaptation Protocol) header (including source UE ID, target UE ID, E2E (end-to-end) SL bearer ID) received from the PC5 Relay RLC channel from the source remote UE, the relay UE could identify the mapping of the E2E SLRBs (Sidelink Radio bearers) to PC5 Relay RLC channel. Accordingly, in some embodiments, the relay UE can report the RLC mode of the PC5 Relay RLC channel associated with the E2E SLRB. In some embodiments, the E2E SLRB may be indicated by at least one of the source UE ID, the target / destination UE ID and / or the E2E SLRB ID. In some embodiments, the E2E SLRB may be indicated by an E2E SLRB index which identifying an E2E SLRB ID. The E2E SLRB index is indexed sequentially from 0 in a same ascending order of an E2E SLRB identity in a source-destination UE pair and indexed sequentially across multiple UE pairs in a same order of the presence of the UE pairs. There may be multiple E2E SLRBs mapped to one PC5 Relay RLC channel on the first hop (in the direction from the source remote UE to the relay UE) , the relay UE may to report the RLC mode of the PC5 Relay RLC channel associated with only one of the mapped E2E SLRBs.

[0137] In some embodiments, to request for second hop configuration for L2 U2U relay from the gNB, the relay UE may report the per SLRB level QoS information of the second hop of an E2E SLRB in SUI (e.g., report the destination / target UE ID, the source UE ID and the per SLRB QoS profile of an E2E SLRB (SL-PerSLRB-QoS-Info) ) . In an example of an RLC mode indication of PC5 Relay RLC channel (on the first hop) , the RLC mode indication can be included in the per SLRB level QoS information of the second hop of an E2E SLRB (e.g., SL-PerSLRB-QoS-Info) to associate with the E2E SLRB (sl-RemoteUE-SLRB-Identity) .

[0138] In some embodiments, when receiving a PC5 RLC channel configuration from a relay UE, the remote UE may transmit to the NW the RLC mode indication of the PC5 RLC channel configured by the relay UE. In some embodiments, the remote UE can report the RLC mode of the PC5 Relay RLC channel associated with the E2E SLRB.

[0139] An example of the RLC mode indication is provided below.

[0140] In some embodiments of the present disclosure, for the SDT over the RACH (e.g., the MO RA-SDT or the MT-SDT) , an indication to indicate whether the DL RSRP (when UE intends to initiate SDT transmission over RACH) is above or below the configured SDT RSRP threshold can be included in the RA report.

[0141] In some embodiments of the present disclosure, the CG-SDT related information could be considered to include in the RA report for the gNB to tune / configure the thresholds / limitation for the SDT using CG resources properly and adjust / coordinate the CG resources and RACH resources for the SDT comprehensively.

[0142] In some embodiments of the present disclosure, an indication indicating mt-SDT can be included in the raPurpose in the RA report to let gNB know a RA is initiated / triggered for MT-SDT transmission.

[0143] FIG. 1 relates to a diagram of a wireless communication terminal 30 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. The wireless communication terminal 30 may be a tag, a mobile phone, a laptop, a tablet computer, an electronic book or a portable computer system and is not limited herein. The wireless communication terminal 30 may be used to implement the UE described in this disclosure. The wireless communication terminal 30 may include a processor 300 such as a microprocessor or Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) , a storage unit 310 and a communication unit 320. The storage unit 310 may be any data storage device that stores a program code 312, which is accessed and executed by the processor 300. Embodiments of the storage unit 310 include but are not limited to a subscriber identity module (SIM) , read-only memory (ROM) , flash memory, random-access memory (RAM) , hard-disk, and optical data storage device. The communication unit 320 may a transceiver and is used to transmit and receive signals (e.g., messages or packets) according to processing results of the processor 300. In an embodiment, the communication unit 320 transmits and receives the signals via at least one antenna 322 or via wiring.

[0144] In an embodiment, the storage unit 310 and the program code 312 may be omitted and the processor 300 may include a storage unit with stored program code.

[0145] The processor 300 may implement any one of the steps or operations in exemplified embodiments on the wireless communication terminal 30, e.g., by executing the program code 312.

[0182] Details in this regard can be ascertained with reference to the paragraphs above, and will not be repeated herein.

[0183] Another wireless communication method is also provided according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. In an embodiment, the wireless communication method may be performed by using a wireless communication node (e.g., a gNB or NW) . In an embodiment, the second wireless communication node may be implemented by using the wireless communication node 40 described in this disclosure, but is not limited thereto.

[0187] In some embodiments, the second wireless communication terminal used in the present disclosure may indicate the remote UE described in Aspect 5 above.

[0188] Details in this regard can be ascertained with reference to the paragraphs above, and will not be repeated herein.

[0189] In some embodiments, the Sidelink UE Information used in the present disclosure may indicate the SidelinkUEInformaitonNR described in Aspect 5 above.

[0190] While various embodiments of the present disclosure have been described above, it should be understood that they have been presented by way of example only, and not by way of limitation. Likewise, the various diagrams may depict an example architectural or configuration, which are provided to enable persons of ordinary skill in the art to understand exemplary features and functions of the present disclosure. Such persons would understand, however, that the present disclosure is not restricted to the illustrated example architectures or configurations, but can be implemented using a variety of alternative architectures and configurations. Additionally, as would be understood by persons of ordinary skill in the art, one or more features of one embodiment can be combined with one or more features of another embodiment described herein. Thus, the breadth and scope of the present disclosure should not be limited by any one of the above-described exemplary embodiments.

[0191] It is understood that, in the present disclosure, the term “and / or” or symbol “ / ” may include any and all combinations of one or more of the associated listed items. For example, A and / or B and / or C includes any and all combinations of one or more of A, B, and C, including A, B, C, A and B, A and C, B and C, and a combination of A and B and C. Likewise, A / B / C includes any and all combinations of one or more of A, B, and C, including A, B, C, A and B, A and C, B and C, and a combination of A and B and C.

[0192] It is also understood that any reference to an element herein using a designation such as "first, " "second, " and so forth does not generally limit the quantity or order of those elements. Rather, these designations can be used herein as a convenient means of distinguishing between two or more elements or instances of an element. Thus, a reference to first and second elements does not mean that only two elements can be employed, or that the first element must precede the second element in some manner.

[0193] Additionally, a person having ordinary skill in the art would understand that information and signals can be represented using any one of a variety of different technologies and techniques. For example, data, instructions, commands, information, signals, bits and symbols, for example, which may be referenced in the above description can be represented by voltages, currents, electromagnetic waves, magnetic fields or particles, optical fields or particles, or any combination thereof.

[0194] A skilled person would further appreciate that any one of the various illustrative logical blocks, units, processors, means, circuits, methods and functions described in connection with the aspects disclosed herein can  be implemented by electronic hardware (e.g., a digital implementation, an analog implementation, or a combination of the two) , firmware, various forms of program or design code incorporating instructions (which can be referred to herein, for convenience, as "software" or a "software unit” ) , or any combination of these techniques.

[0195] To clearly illustrate this interchangeability of hardware, firmware and software, various illustrative components, blocks, units, circuits, operations, and steps have been described above generally in terms of their functionality. Whether such functionality is implemented as hardware, firmware or software, or a combination of these techniques, depends upon the particular application and design constraints imposed on the overall system. Skilled artisans can implement the described functionality in various ways for each particular application, but such implementation decisions do not cause a departure from the scope of the present disclosure. In accordance with various embodiments, a processor, device, component, circuit, structure, machine, unit, etc. can be configured to perform one or more of the functions described herein. The term “configured to” or “configured for” as used herein with respect to a specified operation or function refers to a processor, device, component, circuit, structure, machine, unit, etc. that is physically constructed, programmed and / or arranged to perform the specified operation or function.

[0196] Furthermore, a skilled person would understand that various illustrative logical blocks, units, devices, components and circuits described herein can be implemented within or performed by an integrated circuit (IC) that can include a general-purpose processor, a digital signal processor (DSP) , an application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) , a field programmable gate array (FPGA) or other programmable logic device, or any combination thereof. The logical blocks, units, and circuits can further include antennas and / or transceivers to communicate with various components within the network or within the device. A general-purpose processor can be a microprocessor, but in the alternative, the processor can be any conventional processor, controller, or state machine. A processor can also be implemented as a combination of computing devices, e.g., a combination of a DSP and a microprocessor, a plurality of microprocessors, one or more microprocessors in conjunction with a DSP core, or any other suitable configuration to perform the functions described herein. If implemented in software, the functions can be stored as one or more instructions or code on a computer-readable medium. Thus, the steps or operations of a method or algorithm disclosed herein can be implemented as software stored on a computer-readable medium.

[0197] Computer-readable media includes both computer storage media and communication media including any medium that can be enabled to transfer a computer program or code from one place to another. A  storage media can be any available media that can be accessed by a computer. By way of example, and not limitation, such computer-readable media can include RAM, ROM, EEPROM, CD-ROM or other optical disk storage, magnetic disk storage or other magnetic storage devices, or any other medium that can be used to store desired program code in the form of instructions or data structures and that can be accessed by a computer.

[0198] In this document, the term "unit" as used herein, refers to software, firmware, hardware, and any combination of these elements for performing the associated functions described herein. Additionally, for purpose of discussion, the various units are described as discrete units; however, as would be apparent to one of ordinary skill in the art, two or more units may be combined to form a single unit that performs the associated functions according to embodiments of the present disclosure.

[0199] Additionally, memory or other storage, as well as communication components, may be employed in embodiments of the present disclosure. It will be appreciated that, for clarity purposes, the above description has described embodiments of the present disclosure with reference to different functional units and processors. However, it will be apparent that any suitable distribution of functionality between different functional units, processing logic elements or domains may be used without detracting from the present disclosure. For example, functionality illustrated to be performed by separate processing logic elements, or controllers, may be performed by the same processing logic element, or controller. Hence, references to specific functional units are only references to a suitable means for providing the described functionality, rather than indicative of a strict logical or physical structure or organization.

[0200] Various modifications to the implementations described in this disclosure will be readily apparent to those skilled in the art, and the general principles defined herein can be applied to other implementations without departing from the scope of the claims. Thus, the disclosure is not intended to be limited to the implementations shown herein, but is to be accorded the widest scope consistent with the novel features and principles disclosed herein, as recited in the claims below.
