Abstract
Description
[0001] S b kl id i N hl G ikd Klimareaulierunabereiche
[0002] Technical area
[0003] The present invention describes a piece of sportswear comprising one or more seamless knitted sections which together form a textile layer knitted from at least two different yarns.
[0004] State of the art
[0005] Seamless knits are knitted fabrics, preferably for use in sportswear or underwear, that are manufactured without seams or visible joins. Seamless sportswear made from these fabrics is characterized by the absence of visible seams, which not only ensures an aesthetically pleasing appearance but also increases comfort. The material is constructed to fit snugly against the body. Seamless knits comprise at least one knitted textile layer, which can also be multi-layered.
[0006] The goal is to create a knitted piece of sportswear that gives the wearer the feeling of a dry skin surface during physical activity. To date, 3D structures such as channels, ribs, or the integration of padding or inserts have been tried. Essentially, suitable knitting patterns were sought and additional 3D structures were incorporated into the knit with the padding or inserts. In practice, however, sweat does not dry quickly enough, and the knit, including the 3D structures, quickly absorbs moisture. The mere use of knitted fabrics made from a combination of a hydrophilic (water-attracting) and a hydrophobic (water-repellent) yarn, or the finishing of knitted fabrics, has so far not produced convincing results.
[0007] One example is the use of pure cotton yarn, where the inner layer is treated hydrophobically while the outer layer is hydrophilic. This process results in knitted textile layers with different properties regarding water absorption and repellency. While such textiles can utilize the advantages of both water-repellent and water-attracting fibers, they have not yet achieved the above-mentioned goal.
[0008] A hydrophilic yarn is a multi-filament yarn with the ability to absorb or attract water. This property is achieved by incorporating hydrophilic fibers or coatings. One example of the use of hydrophilic yarns is the production of medical gauze. Here, the hydrophilic yarn ensures that the gauze can absorb water, which is especially important when used in medical applications. However, this does not achieve the feeling of dry skin during exercise.
[0009] To date, it has not been possible to create a seamless knit fabric that directly eliminates the feeling of moisture on an athlete's skin during the knitting process. Additional sweat wicking agents, either incorporated into or attached to the knit, should be avoided for production-technical and cost reasons. The production of a seamless knit fabric from a hydrophobic and a hydrophilic yarn has not yet achieved the desired sweat wicking effect. Description of the invention
[0010] The disadvantages described above, which are known from the prior art, are to be eliminated in the present sportswear and seamless knitwear.
[0011] The object of the present invention is to create a piece of sports clothing comprising one or more seamless knitted sections, which gives a user a dry skin feeling during sporting activity, thus improving climate control, for which the features according to the characterizing part of the first patent claim are required.
[0012] Variations of feature combinations or minor adaptations of the invention can be found in the detailed description, illustrated in the figures and included in the dependent patent claims.

[0025] Description
[0026] A sportswear item 0 is described, comprising one or more seamless knitted sections, which together form a textile layer 1 made of at least two different yarns. The textile layer 1 has been industrially knitted using circular knitting machines or flat knitting machines. The figures show exemplary sportswear items 0 as underwear or outerwear, in the form of T-shirts and pants.
[0027] The entire textile layer 1 has a textile outer surface 10, which has various outer surface knitting patterns, wherein a preferably hydrophilic outer surface yarn 101 is arranged facing outwards over the entire surface of the textile layer 1 and thus the sportswear item 0. The outer surface yarn 101 is inserted during the knitting process on the knitting machine and processed using an outer surface knitting pattern such that the outer textile layer 1 forms an outer surface with the hydrophilic outer surface yarn 101 facing outwards over its entire surface.
[0028] A polyamide yarn is preferably used as the hydrophilic outer surface yarn 101, which is knitted facing outwards and draws liquid away to the outside.
[0029] To increase sustainability, a recycled polyamide 6,6 fiber is preferably used as a component of the hydrophilic outer surface yarn 101, which is obtained from 100% recycled raw materials. The hydrophilic outer surface yarn 101 is always more hydrophilic than the skin contact surface yarn 111. For example, discarded car tires are regenerated into high-quality hydrophilic outer surface yarns 101 in an environmentally friendly production process. This production method significantly reduces carbon emissions and does not rely on fossil resources. Furthermore, the hydrophilic outer surface yarn 101 in the form of polyamide 6,6 fibers also preferably contains silver ions, which make the yarn bacteriostatic. The addition of silver ions inhibits the growth and proliferation of bacteria.
[0030] The preferred hydrophilic outer surface yarn 101 has a count between 44 and 78 dtex, with 34 to 68 filaments per yarn thread. The unit of measurement dtex stands for decitex and indicates how many grams the yarn weighs when it has a length of 10,000 meters. The structure specification indicates the number of filaments in the yarn per thread. This information is relevant for the strength and texture of the fabric or product made from this yarn.
[0031] Along a skin contact surface 11, facing the body of a user when worn and lying directly on the skin 3 of the user, various skin contact surface knitting patterns are arranged, wherein a hydrophobic skin contact surface yarn 111, which is more hydrophobic than the outer surface yarn 101, is arranged over the entire surface along the skin contact surface 11 facing inwards.
[0032] Polyester is preferred as the hydrophobic skin contact yarn, as its molecular structure tends to repel water. Various polyester-based yarns are known and can be used for this purpose.
[0033] During the knitting process, preferably on a circular knitting machine, the more hydrophilic outer surface yarn 101 and the more hydrophobic skin contact surface yarn 111 are fed in simultaneously and knitted in with different knitting patterns, whereby the textile outer surface 10 is made more hydrophilic than the skin contact surface 11.
[0034] The outer textile surface 11, made of more hydrophilic outer surface yarn 101, and the skin contact surface 11, made of hydrophobic skin contact surface yarn 111, draw sweat outward through the textile layer 1. This push-pull effect draws the moisture to the outside of the outer textile surface 10 and increases the evaporation rate of the sweat. This leads to greater cooling performance for the user or athlete.
[0035] In order to increase the comfort and the push-pull effect, several climate control areas 2 are additionally introduced in the course of the textile layer 1 of the various seamless knitted sections on the textile outer surface 10 and / or the skin contact surface 11.
[0036] In Figures 2a to 2d, large climate regulation areas 2 are marked in the area of the chest, the back on the T-shirt and in the area of the inner and outer thighs and the lower back on the trousers.
[0037] The more hydrophobic skin contact surface yarn 111 is arranged on the entire skin contact surface 11, which is indicated in black, resting on the user's skin 3 when worn. Moisture is thus drawn away from the skin 3 along the entire skin contact surface 11.
[0038] Two variants are possible here as climate control areas 2, which can be arranged or knitted individually or in combination.
[0039] Figures 2a to 2d show a local gathering of the skin contact surface 11 or the textile outer surface 10 in the climate control areas 2. This additional local gathering can be carried out in different ways, whereby different tube sections 20 are produced.
[0040] The detailed views of the climate control areas 2 shown in Figures 3a to 3c show different tube sections 20 due to the local gathering. The tube sections 20 in Figure 3a are V-shaped, but can also be arranged linearly (Figure 3b) in different rows or in an X-shape in different adjacent rows.
[0041] Preferably, the local gathering is created directly during the knitting process on the knitting machine, requiring a plurality of tensioning means 21 that are knitted in. However, it is also possible to carry out a sewing, knitting, or embroidery step following the knitting to introduce the tensioning means 21 into the textile layer 1 of the seamless knitted sections in such a way that protrusions 200 are formed toward the skin 3, which form the tubular sections 20. The tensioning means 21 are formed accordingly from yarn and suitably positioned to achieve the local gathering.
[0042] Figure 3a shows exemplary tension members 21 of different lengths. The tension members 21 must be shaped such that they form the protrusions 200 between tension zones. The tension members 21 bridge the tube sections 20 at least partially.
[0043] A linear configuration of the tube sections 20 according to Figure 3b in different rows along the knitted fabric is the simplest embodiment, although the traction means 21 are not shown in detail here. The arrangement of x-shaped tube sections 20 in different rows along the climate control area 2 involves more effort, since different traction means 21 and more of them must be used accordingly. The creation of protrusions 200 towards the skin contact surface 11 or the skin 3 may be significantly more effective.
[0044] Regardless of the shape of the tube sections 20 in each climate control area 2, the protrusions 200 of the tube sections 20 are arranged in mutually parallel rows. The textile layer 1 has several climate control areas 2 with a plurality of tube sections 20 achieved by local gatherings, wherein the hydrophilic outer surface yarn 101 points away from the textile outer surface 10 and the skin contact surface 11 made of hydrophobic skin contact surface yarn 111 points inward toward the skin 3 of a user and partially rests thereon. The tube sections 20 form protrusions 200 that protrude toward the inside, i.e., toward the skin 3.
[0045] The local gathering creates inner air channels 22 between the skin contact surface 11 and the skin 3, or oriented toward the skin 3. These channels are formed by the hydrophobic skin contact surface yarn 111, in particular comprising polyester fibers. In the sectional plane according to Figure 4, inner air channels 22 and outer air channels 23 alternate. The formed tube sections 20 form the inner air channels 22 between the inner surface 11 and the skin 3 and at least one outer air channel 23 pointing away from the outer textile surface 10 and the hydrophilic outer surface yarn 101. The outer air channel 23 is partially delimited by traction means 21, which, however, does not impede the removal of moisture.
[0046] The skin contact surfaces 11 of the tube section 20 repel moisture to a high degree. The outer textile surface 10 is also more hydrophilic in the area of the tube sections 20 than the skin contact surface 11.
[0047] In a further embodiment of the climate control areas 2, several hydrophobic islands 24 are continuously knitted along the textile layer 1 between the outer textile surface 10 made of hydrophilic outer surface yarn 101 and the skin contact surface 11 made of more hydrophobic skin contact surface yarn 111. The hydrophobic islands 24 are knitted from the more hydrophobic skin contact surface yarn 111, preferably comprising polyester fibers. In the area of the hydrophobic islands 24 on the outer textile surface 10, the outer textile surface 10 is partially formed by the hydrophobic islands 24.
[0048] Preferably, the textile layer 1 with the climate-regulating areas 2 is jacquard-knitted, so that parts of the hydrophobic islands 24 on the outer textile surface 10 and / or the skin contact surface 11 are recognizable as square or rectangular shapes, which of course also applies to the skin contact surface 11. Such jacquard knits are produced on two rows of needles, allowing for almost unlimited patterns. Moisture, i.e., the wearer's perspiration, is thus distributed particularly well across the surface of the textile layer 1.
