Description

[0001] Virtual reality and artificial intelligence supported treadmill suitable for use in the healthcare field

[0002] Field of the Invention

[0003] The invention is generally related to treadmills.

[0004] The invention is particularly related to a virtual reality and artificial intelligence supported treadmill, which has two different treadmills that work independently for each foot, to be used in the walking studies of patients in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation.

[0005] State of the Art

[0006] Today, there are treadmills that are generally used for sports purposes. The treadmills mentioned are also used in the treatment of physiotherapy and rehabilitation patients. However, there are some problems in the use of these treadmills in the treatment of patients.

[0007] The treadmills used in the current technique consist of a single band where both feet step on the same band. Although these bands are also used in the treatment of patients, they are mainly used as walking and treadmills. Patients with a certain level of walking performance can use these treadmills for therapeutic purposes. However, it is not possible to use a single-band treadmill for children or patients with low walking performance or who have just started walking.

[0008] In the researches conducted on the known state of the art, some documents related to treadmills have been found. One of them is the double treadmill numbered CN209437961 U. This document describes a treadmill with double treadmills. The bands in this document can move independently of each other with their own motors. It is also stated that the bands can work alone and in the opposite direction. However, in the structure mentioned in this document, although the treadmills are designed as two separate bands, they are insufficient in applying modern treatment techniques and showing the changes that occur in the patient's body.

[0009] There are only two different bands and speed settings in this device, and there is no program system suitable for virtual reality applications and rehabilitation studies. In addition, there is no indicator showing the patient's pulse change during the workout, the amount of energy spent, and the amount of exercise done with walking exercises.

[0010] Document numbered KR101327178B1 is related to a two-belt treadmill and also a walking training device. This document describes a two-belt treadmill and a walking rehabilitation training device equipped with it. The belts in this document can also move independently of each other with their own motors, and it is stated that the belts can work alone and in two directions. However, although the treadmills are designed as two separate bands in this device, there is no system that shows virtual reality applications from new rehabilitation techniques and changes that occur in the patient's body. This device has only two different bands and speed settings. In addition, there is no indicator showing the patient's pulse change during the exercise, the amount of energy spent, and the amount of exercise done with walking exercises.

[0011] As a result, developments are being made regarding treadmills, therefore new structures are needed that will eliminate the disadvantages mentioned above and provide solutions to existing systems.

[0012] Aim of the Invention

[0013] The present invention relates to a dual-band treadmill that meets the above- mentioned requirements, eliminates all disadvantages and provides some additional advantages. The main purpose of the invention is to present a treadmill that works independently for both feet to be used in walking studies of patients in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation.

[0014] A purpose of the invention is to present a treadmill that can be used for children or patients with low walking performance or who have just started walking.

[0015] In order to realize all the advantages mentioned above and understood from the detailed explanation below, the present invention;

[0016] - a treadmill that is used in walking studies of patients in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation,

[0017] - a belt body with at least one belt that enables walking to be performed on it,

[0018] - a treadmill that includes a front unit with handles, carrier feet and a control panel;

[0019] - a virtual reality goggles and a virtual reality application that works connected to the control panel and creates the feeling of walking in a different environment for the patient,

[0020] - an artificial intelligence application that works connected to the control panel and controls and evaluates the training performed by the patient, provides information, directs and intervenes, a structure has been obtained.

[0021] The structural and characteristic features of the invention and all its advantages will be understood more clearly thanks to the figures given below and the detailed explanation written by making references to these figures. Therefore, the evaluation should be made by taking these figures and detailed explanation into consideration. Figures Clarifying the Invention

[0041] Detailed Description of the Invention

[0042] In this detailed description, the preferred embodiments of the treadmill which is the subject of the invention are explained only for a better understanding of the subject and in a way that does not create any limiting effect.

[0043] The invention is a treadmill used in walking studies of patients in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation,

[0044] - a belt body (1 ) with at least one belt (1.1 ) that enables the walking process to be performed,

[0045] - a front unit (3) with holding arms (3.4), carrier feet (3.1) and control panel (3.5);

[0046] - a virtual reality glasses (3.7) and virtual reality application that work connected to the control panel (3.5) and create the feeling of walking in a different environment for the patient,

[0047] - An artificial intelligence application that works with the control panel (3.5), controls and evaluates the patient's training, provides information, guides and intervenes contains.

[0048] Figure 1 shows a general view of the treadmill which is the subject of the invention. The treadmill in question consists of a belt body (1 ), a carrier body (2) and a front unit (3) in its most general form. The belt body (1 ) preferably contains two separate belts (1.1 ) which operate separately and independently from each other. The said belts (1.1 ) are connected to two separate drive elements and can operate in different directions and speeds. In this way, the patient is provided with training in accordance with his / her needs.

[0049] The carrier body (2) provides support for patients who cannot stand or have balance problems. In order to provide this, there are carrier columns (2.1 ) on both sides of the belt body (1) in the carrier body (2). The said carrier columns

[0050] (2.1 ) are connected to each other with connection profiles (2.2) which are connected to the belt body (1 ). In this way, a carrier structure is created. A support garment (2.3) that the patient can wear and that keeps the patient standing is hung on the connection profiles (2.2). In this way, the patient's balance is prevented from being disturbed and falling while walking on the treadmill.

[0051] The front unit (3) allows the patient walking on the treadmill to hold on and control the training. For this purpose, the front unit (3); consists of carrier legs

[0052] (3.1 ), handle bars (3.4), control panel (3.5) and legs located between the carrier legs (3.1 ) and handle bars (3.4) and control panel (3.5). The handle bars (3.4) allow the patient to hold on and get support during the training. There are pulse measurement sensors (3.8) on the handle bars (3.4) in order to control the patient's pulse information during the training. For patients with poor grip strength, pulse measurement sensors (3.8) in the form of a bracelet that can be attached to the handle bars (3.4) and worn on the wrist can also be used. In our invention, there is a lower leg (3.2) and an upper leg (3.3) 30 on each leg section in order to provide a use suitable for the patient's height. The mentioned lower leg (3.2) and upper leg (3.3) are interlocked to provide height adjustment. In order to perform height adjustment, there are adjustment elements (3.6) on the upper leg (3.3), which is preferably wider. The adjustment elements (3.6) preferably have a screw structure and the adjusted height is fixed by tightening the adjustment element.

[0053] Figure 2 shows a representative view of the control panel (3.5) used in the treadmill which is the subject of the invention. The control panel (3.5) provides control and monitoring of the walking training. The control panel (3.5) includes a virtual reality application and an artificial intelligence application to provide the patient with a different training experience and to provide a more detailed evaluation of the patient's training values. There is a virtual reality headset (3.7) on the control panel (3.5) for the application of the virtual reality application to the patient. Thanks to the virtual reality application and the virtual reality headset (3.7), the patient can move away from the hospital environment during the walking training. The artificial intelligence application connected to the control panel (3.5) monitors and evaluates the patient's walking on the belts (1.1 ) and the pulse information received from the pulse measurement sensors (3.8) on the handles (3.4). Based on this evaluation, the control panel (3.5) provides information, provides guidance and can intervene when necessary. On the control panel (3.5), there is a monitoring screen (3.9) to control the training performed and to display the information received from the artificial intelligence application.
