Description

LOUDSPEAKER AND LOUDSPEAKER ARRANGEMENTTECHNICAL FIELD

[0001] The present disclosure relates to a loudspeaker and a loudspeaker arrangement.BACKGROUND

[0002] The frequency of the sound from a tweeter is generally between 5KHz-10KHz, and the upper limit frequency can even reach 50KHz. Therefore, the sound of tweeters has strong directionality and is easily obscured (due to the short wavelength) .

[0003] A car loudspeaker usually has two tweeters, which are arranged on the A-pillars or B-pillars and usually have a fixed tweeter direction. For example, two tweeters arranged on the A-pillars jointly point to the position between the driver and the copilot, producing the best acoustic effect at that position, but neither the driver nor the copilot gets the best acoustic effect. However, if the driver and copilot want to get the same acoustic effect, it is necessary to improve the performance of the tweeters, which in turn leads to a significant increase in price.SUMMARY

[0027] The disclosure can be better understood with reference to the flowing drawings and description. The components in the drawings are not necessarily to scale, emphasis instead being placed upon illustrating the principles of the disclosure. Moreover, in the figures, like  reference numerals designate corresponding parts throughout the different views.

[0028] As used herein, the singular forms “a” , “an” and “the” are intended to include the plural forms as well, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise. The terms “comprises” , “comprising” , “includes” , and / or “including” , as used herein, specify the presence of stated features, integers, steps, operations, elements, and / or components, but do not preclude the presence or addition of one or more other features, integers, steps, operations, elements, components, and / or groups thereof. As used herein, the term “and / or” and the symbol “ / ” are meant to include any and all combinations of one or more of the associated listed items. Additionally, while the terms first, second, etc. may be used herein to describe various elements, components, steps or calculations, these elements, components, steps or calculations should not be limited by these terms, rather these terms are only used to distinguish one element, component, step or calculation from another. For example, a first component could be termed a second component, similarly a first calculation could be termed a second calculation; similarly, afirst step could be termed a second step; all without departing from the scope of this disclosure.

[0029] An aspect of the present disclosure relates to a loudspeaker comprising at least one tweeter having a base and a tweeter module, wherein the tweeter module is rotatably received in the base.

[0030] As compared to the prior art, the loudspeaker, especially the tweeter according to the present disclosure provides a rotatable tweeter module, which could be adjusted after the assembly. Therefore, the best acoustic effect could be achieved in variable positions after the tweeter has been mounted in a vehicle. Normally, the tweeters are arranged in the A-pillars and / or B-pillars of the vehicle, which especially refers to a personal car. For example, two tweeters arranged on the A-pillars jointly point to the position between the driver and the copilot. So, if there is only the driver in the vehicle, the best acoustic effect would not achieved in the driver’s position. The tweeter according to the present disclosure could be adjusted, so that the tweeter directions of the two tweeters arranged on the A-pillars point to the driver’s position jointly, and the best acoustic performance could be achieved there. The acoustic performance of the tweeters according to the present disclosure could be comparable to more expensive tweeters. This means that users could save a lot of expenses.

[0031] According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, the tweeter module has at least one pivot by which the tweeter module is rotatably supported in the base. This design has the advantages of a simple structure and easy implementation. Preferably, the base has a driving unit capable of driving the pivot, so that the tweeter module can be rotated by the driving unit. The driving unit could be designed as a motor, which is easy to be controlled via a controller, whichcan be integrated with the twitter's controller, and even share a cable with the twitter. Then users could set the best acoustic position by a user interface when they drive. Alternatively, there is no driving unit for the tweeter module, but the tweeter module can be manually adjusted after installation in the vehicle. In this regard, there are several preset directions for the tweeter module, which indicate the users how to adjust. This can further reduce costs while achieving optimal acoustic performance.

[0032] According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, the base has a reduction mechanism by which a driving unit drives the pivot. Preferably, the reduction mechanism is designed as a worm and worm wheel mechanism and / or a gear mechanism. Those mechanisms have the advantages of simple structure and easy implementation. Furthermore, those mechanisms have their advantages too. For example, the worm and worm wheel mechanismachieves a large speed ratio with a smaller external size and can achieve a self-locking function. The gear mechanism has the advantages of compact structure and easy design.

[0033] According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, the base comprises a first housing accommodating a tweeter module, the first housing having an opening adapted to a rotational range of the tweeter module. When there is a driving unit and a reduction mechanism, the base comprises a second housing accommodating the driving unit and the reduction mechanism, wherein the second housing comprises a first half housing and a second half housing, wherein the first half housing and the first housing are integrated. This design has the advantage of being easy to implement and having fewer parts.

[0034] According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, the base comprises at least one mounting foot, preferably two mounting feet for installation in the A-pillar and B-pillar of the vehicle. Preferably, mounting feet are integrated with the base.

[0035] Another aspect of the present disclosure relates to a loudspeaker arrangement in  a vehicle, wherein the loudspeaker arrangement comprises the loudspeaker, especially the tweeter according to the present disclosure. According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, the loudspeaker arrangement comprises two tweeters arranged on two A-pillars of the vehicle respectively, and / or two tweeters arranged on two B-pillars of the vehicle respectively. According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, the loudspeaker arrangement comprises at least one tweeter arranged in the middle of a dashboard. Due to the rotatability or adjustability of the tweeter modules, multiple optimal acoustic effect positions are generated inside the vehicle to meet the personalized needs of users. The following will provide a further detailed description of the loudspeaker arrangement in conjunction with the figures.

[0036] Overall, the following features can be seen in Figures 1-8: first tweeter 100, second tweeter 200, third tweeter 300, fourth tweeter 400, fifth tweeter 500, base 12, tweeter module 14, pivot 16, driving unit 18, reduction mechanism 20, mounting foot 24, first housing 26, opening 28, second housing 22, first half housing 36, second half housing 38, A-pillar 30, recess 32, cavity 34, vehicle 50, B-pillar 40, front left position FL, front right position FR, front middle position FM, rear left position RL, rear right position RR and rear middle position RM.

[0037] Fig. 1 schematically illustrates a loudspeaker according to one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, which includes at least one tweeter having a base 12 and a tweeter module 14, wherein the tweeter module 14 is rotatably received in the base 12. The tweeter in Fig. 1 can also be referred to as the first tweeter 100. The tweeter module 14 has at least one pivot 16 (refer to Figure 3) by which the tweeter module 14 is rotatably supported in the base 12. The base 12 has a driving unit 18 capable of driving the pivot 16 via a reduction mechanism 20. In Fig. 1 the driving unit 18 and reduction mechanism 20 are schematically shown. Another arrangement of the driving unit 18 and reduction mechanism 20 can also be conceived, such as a coaxial arrangement with the pivot 16. The driving unit 18 illustrated schematically can be designed as an electric motor. The reduction mechanism 20 illustrated schematically can be designed as a worm and worm wheel mechanism and / or a gear mechanism.
