Systems and methods for creating and collaborating on lyric and music elements and songs are provided. A SYSTEM FOR CREATION OF COLLABORATIVE MUSIC AND METHOD THEREOFCROSS REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS

[0001] This application claims priority to Canadian patent application no. 3,241 ,855 which was filed June 17, 2024, and which is incorporated herein by reference for all purposes.FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0002] The present invention relates to a platform for creation of songs and music. More specifically, the invention describes a system and method for creating and collaborating on music elements and songs.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0003] Currently there are no existing computer / phone or software applications in which a user can write lyrics, create tunes and record vocals in the same place, while also having the ability to listen to songs.

[0004] Applications that provide for the creation of musical elements and songs are very complex and not user friendly. Any non-professional musicians / lyricists / singers are not able to use these applications and instead are collaborating offline or are creating song covers of other people’s songs. This prevents these non-professional artists from utilizing their unique artistic talents.

[0005] These applications are extremely technical which is quite difficult for an amateur artist to understand. Amateur artists can attempt to figure out these complex applications after a bit of research and practise, however these existing applications do not have in-app distribution functionalities. These applications also do not connect with social networks and allow for easy collaboration with other artists.

[0007] In accordance with one aspect of the disclosure, a system for creating a music collaboration is provided. The system comprising a lyrics module configured to generate lyrics based on at least one word input on a first device; a tune module configured to generate a tune based on at least one musical input on a second device; a vocal module configured to generate vocals based on at least one vocal recorded on a third device, wherein the lyrics and the tune are combined to generate a music collaboration, or the lyrics and the vocals are combined to generate the music collaboration; and storage means for storing at least one of the lyrics, the tune, the vocals, and the music collaboration. The lyrics, the tune, the vocals, and the collaboration are retrievable from the database for selection by the user to create a song by combining the collaboration of the lyrics and the tune with the vocals, or by combining the collaboration of the lyrics and the vocals with the tune.

The user can select the Al feature (106) on the user interface, and input at least one word to base the Al search on. It will be appreciated that in an embodiment, the module may automatically check if the lyrics already exist in the database or on the internet using Al. If the module does not receive an indication by the user that the lyrics are unique, the module does not allow the user to post or save their generated lyrics (110). If the module receives a confirmation from the user that the lyrics are unique, the module displays an option for the user to post and save their generated lyrics (112). The module validates and verifies the submitted lyric details (114). If all of the information for identifying the generated lyrics has been received by the module, the generated lyrics along with the details for identifying the lyrics are sent and stored to a database 116. The generated lyrics with at least some of the information for identifying the lyrics, such as the title, description, and / or emotion, are then posted on the lyrics module screen (118).

As described above, the Al 200 can be used to suggest or recommend a list of words based on at least one word input by the user and at least one indication on what the search is to identify (for example, synonyms, rhyming words, or other). The user inputs at least one word 202 and identifies what they would like the Al suggestions or recommendations to be based on (202). The at least one word and the indication are sent to, for example, an Al API endpoint 206 through a node server 205. A set or list of suggested or recommended words are returned (208) and displayed to the user (210). It will be appreciated that the set may include up to 10 words, or another set number of words. The returned words will be in the language input by the user to identify the lyrics.

Similar to the lyric module 200, the tune module 300 may display on the user interface, a request for the user to confirm that the created tune is unique and is not a copy of another person’s tune. It will be appreciated that in an embodiment, the tool may automatically check if the generated tune already exists in the database or on the internet through Al. If the module does not receive an indication by the user that the tune is unique, the tool does not allow the user to post or save their generated tune. If the module receives a confirmation from the user that the tune is unique, the module displays an option for the user to post and save their generated tune (330). If all of the information for identifying the generated tune has been received by the module, the generated tune along with the details for identifying the tune are sent and stored in the database 116. The generated tune with at least some of the information for identifying the tune, such as the title and / or description, are then posted on the tune module screen (332).

The Al returns a list of words that are synonyms or that rhyme with the at least one input word. The user can update the lyrics or poem based on the Al suggestions. Once the lyric set has been generated, based on the user’s input and any optional Al suggestions, the system may display on the user interface, a request for the user to confirm that the lyrics are unique and are not a copy of another person’s lyrics (108). It will be appreciated that in an embodiment, the module may automatically check if the lyrics already exist in the database or on the internet through Al. If the module does not receive an indication by the user that the lyrics are unique, the module does not allow the user to post or save their generated lyrics with the selected tune (506). If the module receives a confirmation from the user that the lyrics are unique, the module displays an option for the user to post and save their generated lyrics with the selected tune (508). The module validates and verifies the submitted lyric details and the details of the selected tune (510). If all of the information for identifying the generated lyrics and the selected existing tune has been received, the generated lyrics with the selected tune along with the details for identifying the lyrics and the tune are sent and stored in the database 116. The collaborated lyrics and tune with at least some of the information for identifying the lyrics and tune, are then posted on the tune module screen (512) under collaborations.

This allows a user to preview and select lyric and tune collaborations that have already been created by themselves and / or by at least one other user. A request to collaborate vocals on a tune and lyric collaboration is received (602). The user can record their own vocals using a vocals recording helper 604, uploading a vocal file from a device (606) (similar to uploading a tune (306)), and / or by recording the vocals on their device. The user can preview the lyrics and listen to the tune of the collaborations. Once a tune and lyric collaboration is selected, the tune is played while the lyrics are shown and the vocals tracks are recorded (610). The system allows the user to listen to the vocals and tune together after the collaboration has been selected and the vocals have been uploaded or recorded (612).

If the module does not receive an indication by the user that the vocals are their own, the tool does not allow the user to post or save their vocals with the selected existing tune and lyric collaboration. If the module receives a confirmation from the user that the vocals are their own, the system displays an option for the user to post and save their vocals with the selected existing tune and lyric collaboration (630). The user can also select or upload art to be displayed with the generated song, and preview the final song before posting and saving the vocals with the selected collaboration. The vocals with the selected existing tune and lyric collaboration along with the details for identifying the tune and lyrics are sent and stored in the database 116. The new song, generated by the collaboration of vocals, lyrics, and tune, with at least some of the information for identifying the song, such as the title and / or description, are then posted on a song screen (632).

This allows a user to preview and select lyrics that have already been created by themselves and / or by at least one other user. A request to collaborate vocals on lyrics is received (702). Before recording or uploading anyvocals, the system displays a list of lyrics (704) that have already been posted and stored in the database 116. The user can preview the lyrics. Once lyrics are selected the lyrics are shown while the vocals tracks are recorded (706). The system allows the user to listen to the vocals after the lyrics have been selected and the vocals have been uploaded or recorded (708).

CLAIMS1 . A system for creating a music collaboration, the system comprising: a lyrics module configured to generate lyrics based on at least one word input on a first device; a tune module configured to generate a tune based on at least one musical input on a second device; a vocal module configured to generate vocals based on at least one vocal recorded on a third device, wherein the lyrics and the tune are combined to generate a music collaboration, or the lyrics and the vocals are combined to generate the music collaboration; and storage means for storing at least one of the lyrics, the tune, the vocals, and the music collaboration, wherein the lyrics, the tune, the vocals, and the collaboration are retrievable from the database for selection by the user to create a song by combining the collaboration of the lyrics and the tune with the vocals, or by combining the collaboration of the lyrics and the vocals with the tune.2 The system of claim 1 , wherein at least two of the first device, the second device and the third device are the same.3 The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one musical input is modified by the tune module to generate the tune.4 The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one vocal is modified by the vocal module to generate the vocals.5 The system of claim 1 , wherein the storage means stores the lyrics, the tune, the vocals, and the music collaboration with at least one identifying parameter.6 The system of claim 5, wherein the at least one identifying parameter is a title, emotion, genre, or language.7 The system of claim 1 , wherein the system is for creating the song and for listening to the song.8 A computer implemented method of creating a music collaboration, the method comprising receiving lyrics from a first device; displaying the lyrics on a second device while recording at least one tune;combining the lyrics and the at least one tune; storing the combined lyrics and at least one tune in a database; displaying and outputting the combined lyrics and at least one tune on a third device while recording at least one vocal; combining the at least one tune and the at least one vocal to generate a song; and storing the song in the database.9 A computer implemented method of creating a music collaboration, the method comprising: receiving at least one tune from a first device; outputting the tune on a second device while receiving lyrics; combining the lyrics and the at least one tune; storing the combined lyrics and at least one tune in a database; displaying and outputting the combined lyrics and at least one tune on a third device while recording at least one vocal; combining the at least one tune and the at least one vocal to generate a song; and storing the song in the database.10 A computer implemented method of creating a music collaboration, the method comprising: receiving lyrics from a first device; displaying the lyrics on a second device while recording at least one vocal; combining the lyrics and the at least one vocal; storing the combined lyrics and at least one vocal in a database; displaying and outputting the combined lyrics and at least one vocal on a third device while recording at least one tune; combining the at least one tune and the at least one vocal to generate a song; and storing the song in the database.

11. The method of any one of claims 8-10, wherein at least two of the first device, the second device and the third device are the same.

12. The method of any one of claims 8-10, wherein the at least one tune is mixed to generate a final tune before being combined.

13. The method of any one of claims 8-10, wherein the at least one vocal is mixed to generate a final vocal before being combined.

14. The method of any one of claims 8-10, further comprising retrieving the song from the database by the first device, the second device, or the third device, and displaying and outputting by the song on the respective device.

15. The method of any one of claims 8-10, further comprising modifying and mixing the at least one tune before combining the at least one tune with the at least one vocal.

16. The method of any one of claims 8-10, further comprising modifying and mixing the at least one vocal before combining the at least one vocal with the at least one tune.
