[0001] SOUND-AB SORBING HEADBOARD WITH VARIABLE CONFIGURATION DESCRIPTION
[0002] The present patent concerns headboards for beds, and more specifically it concerns a new bed headboard with variable configuration.
[0003] Bed frames are known, which include a structure provided with feet or support parts suited to be rested on the ground. The known bed frames may also include a headboard, that is, a part that extends from the head end of the bed and normally serves as a backrest, allowing the user to rest their back and head thereon when seated or reclining on the bed.
[0004] Headboards are known which are made in various shapes and materials, more or less rigid, padded or not. Adjustable headboards are also known, whose inclination with respect to the vertical can be adjusted. Articulated headboards are also known, which consist of one or more variously reclining parts providing differentiated support for the user's back, head and neck.
[0005] In the case of double beds, the headboard can be one for both places, or the bed can be provided with a headboard for each place. The latter solution is adopted, in particular, in the case of headboards with adjustable inclination, so that each user can adjust the inclination of the headboard according to their needs.
[0006] The subject of the present patent is a new sound-absorbing headboard with variable configuration, the main object of which is to allow the configuration to be changed for functional as well as aesthetic reasons, and also to provide a partial soundabsorbing barrier for the head area of a bed, being completely or partially made up of sound-absorbing panels.
[0007] More specifically, an important object of the invention is to provide a new headboard that can be configured in such a way that it also delimits the area on which the user / s' head is positioned at the sides and / or at the top as well as at the back, thus at least partially protecting the user / s from noise and light.
[0008] According to the invention, in the case of double beds, the new headboard can also be configured to serve as a partition between the two head areas of the bed, so as to limit the diffusion of the sounds generated by each user.
[0009] These and other direct and complementary objects are achieved by the new headboard comprising, in its main parts, at least one main panel intended to be directly or indirectly constrained to a bed frame in such a way as to delimit the back of the head area of the bed, and at least one movable panel directly or indirectly hinged to said main panel and designed to be rotated with respect to the latter so that it can be arranged towards the area in front of said main panel to delimit at least part of the head area of the bed at the sides and / or at the top.
[0010] For example, said at least one movable panel can have at least two configurations with respect to said main panel, that is, a first configuration in which said movable panel is arranged coplanar with said main panel, forming a flat headboard as a whole, and at least one second configuration in which said movable panel is arranged so that it is inclined with respect to said main panel.

CLAIMS1. Headboard (100) for beds, comprising at least one main panel (210) intended to be directly or indirectly constrained to a bed frame in such a way as to delimit the back of at least one head area (Al, A2) of the bed, meaning the area in front of said headboard (100) and intended to support the head of at least one user resting thereon, characterized in that it comprises at least one movable panel (220, ..., 231, 232) directly or indirectly hinged to said main panel (210) and suited to selectively rotate with respect to said main panel (210) towards the front side (214) of the latter, that is, towards said at least one head area (Al, A2) in order to delimit at least part of said at least one head area (Al, A2) laterally and / or at the top.
2. Headboard (100) according to claim 1, characterized in that at least one of said movable panels, or movable side panel (231, 232) is directly or indirectly hinged to a side edge (212) of said main panel (210).
3. Headboard (100) according to claim 1, characterized in that at least one of said movable panels, or movable upper panel (220, ...) is directly or indirectly hinged to an upper edge (211) of said main panel (210).

Headboard (100) according to the preceding claim, characterized in that one or more of said movable panels (220, ..., 231, 232) can be rotated with respect to said main panel (210) until it can be arranged substantially orthogonal to the latter towards said front side (214) to delimit at least part of said at least one head area (Al, A2) laterally and / or at the top.

Headboard (100) according to the preceding claims, characterized in that it comprises at least one further movable upper panel (222) hinged to a side edge (213) of said at least one movable upper panel (220) and suited to be rotated with respect to the latter in order to be selectively inclined with respect to said at least one mainpanel (210) to delimit said at least one head area (Al, A2) of the bed laterally and / or at the top.

Headboard (100) according to the preceding claims, characterized in that it comprises three or more movable upper panels (220, ...), each hinged to a side edge of the adj acent movable upper panel and suited to be rotated with respect to the latter to selectively form a substantially arc-shaped wall which can be selectively rotated to be positioned in front of said main panel (210) to delimit said at least one head area (Al, A2) laterally, on one or both sides, and at the top.
8. Headboard (100) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that at least one of said panels (210, 220, ..., 231, 232) and more preferably at least one of said movable panels (220, ..., 231, 232) is a sound-absorbing panel.
9. Headboard (100) according to the preceding claim, characterized in that said at least one sound-absorbing panel (210, 220, ..., 231, 232) comprises at least one layer made of polyester fibre, with a density included between 30 and 100 Kg / m3.
10. Headboard (100) according to the preceding claim, characterized in that said at least one sound-absorbing panel (210, 220, ..., 231, 232) comprises at least one structural layer or structure (240, 241) made of multilayer wood.
