Abstract

A universal onboard expansion port, comprising: a base (1), a socket mount (3), an adapter (4), bosses (5), and a locking device. The base (1) is used for connecting to a dashboard, the top of the base (1) being provided with a countersink hole (2). The bottom wall of the countersink hole (2) is provided with metal contacts (20), the metal contacts (20) being used for connecting to a vehicle wiring harness. One end of the socket mount (3) is connected in the countersink hole (2), while the adapter (4) is mounted at the other end of the socket mount (3), a transmission wire harness (40) of the adapter (4) being located in the socket mount (3). The bosses (5) are connected to an end surface of the socket mount (3), located in the countersink hole (2), and provided with metal striker pins (50), one end of each metal striker pin (50) being in contact with a metal contact (20), and the other end thereof being connected to the transmission wire harness (40). The locking device is connected to the socket mount (3) and is used for locking the socket mount (3) in the countersink hole (2).

[0001] The present disclosure claims priority to Chinese patent application No. 202410838876.7, filed on June 26, 2024, the entire contents of which are incorporated herein by reference. TECHNICAL FIELD

[0002] The present disclosure relates to the technical field of vehicle expansion interface, in particular to a universal vehicle expansion interface. BACKGROUND

[0003] The vehicle expansion interface plays an important role in connecting external devices in the car, providing more convenience and entertainment functions for passengers.

[0004] The vehicle expansion interface is generally formed at the instrument panel of the car and consists of an expansion dock. At least one connection port is formed on the expansion dock, which is used to power and / or data transfer for the first external device. The connection port on the expansion dock is connected with the electrical appliance through a USB harness, which is exposed outside the expansion dock structure. When the user moves in the car, there is a possibility of accidental pulling, which may cause the electrical appliance to be powered off unexpectedly, causing inconvenience to the user. Moreover, when the USB harness is exposed outside the expansion dock structure, the USB harness is prone to aging and denaturation when the vehicle is exposed to the sun for a long time, thereby affecting the durability of the electrical appliance system and causing user complaints. SUMMARY

[0005] The present disclosure provides a universal vehicle expansion interface to solve the problem of USB harness exposed outside the expansion dock structure, which is inconvenient to use and prone to cause harness aging in the related art.

[0006] The present disclosure provides a universal vehicle expansion interface, which includes a base, a sleeve support, an adapter, a boss, and a locking device. The base is used to connect with the instrument panel. The top of the base is provided with a sunken groove. A metal contact is arranged on the bottom wall of the sunken groove. The metal contact penetrates through the base and is used to connect with the vehicle harness. One end of the sleeve support is connected in the sunken groove. The adapter is installed at the other end of the sleeve support, and the transmission harness connected with the adapter is located in the sleeve support.
