Abstract

[0004] The invention relates to pipes used in city network lines and to a repair clamp fixed on the sleeves used at the joints of these pipes.

[0005] The present invention relates to a repair clamp used in the joint areas of pipes in city transmission lines, which is adapted directly on the sleeve in case of water leakage in the sleeved area, without the need to close the city network line.

[0006] Prior Art

[0007] As it is known, pipes are used to transport water in city network transmission lines. Pipes laid in city network lines are joined with spacers called sleeves from certain regions.

[0008] In this area where these sleeves are fixed, there are sealing problems due to the high pressure in the system and the reasons arising from the service life. In particular, leaks occur from the edge areas of the sleeve. In case of such leakages; the city network line is cut in the first place. The sleeve is then cut in both right and left sides. All the water is drained. The water draining process sometimes takes days. During this time, there is a high water consumption and waiting for hours. Meanwhile, vacuum trucks and transport vehicles are in operation. High labor and energy costs are incurred.

[0009] In the current state of the art, the fact that repair and maintenance operations involve such long processes and costs leads to high costs, especially in municipalities and private enterprises.

[0010] In order to eliminate the technical problems experienced in the existing technique, a new product has been developed by INOXSU ONARIM company, which has been engaged in production and engineering studies in the domestic and international sector for many years, and the technical details and objectives of this product will be explained below.

[0011] Description of Invention The purpose of the invention is to introduce a different technique that brings a new opening in this field, different from the structures used in the existing technique.

[0012] The most important purpose of the invention is to position the apparatus that surrounds the sleeve directly on the sleeve in case of leakage of the sleeve used in the junction areas of the pipes used in the city network lines. Thus, a fast and permanent solution is provided without the need to shut down the network line.

[0013] Another purpose of the invention is to prevent water consumption by providing a quick solution without the need to shut down the water supply line.

[0037] Detailed Description of the Invention

[0038] Figures 1 and 2 illustrate the repair clamp on sleeve (30) adapted on the sleeves (20) used in the joint areas of the pipes (10) used in city network lines.

[0039] The said invention is characterized by novelty; it comprises main body (31 ) in two or more parts having a positioning area (32) fixed directly on the sleeve (20) in the case where the water flow continues without the need to close the city mains line, pipe (10) enclosed in the said main body (31 ) in multi-part structure and fasteners (33) fixing the sleeve (20), a reinforcing flange (35) and a body flange (36) gripping the water-leaking joint edge (21 ) of said pipe (10) and sleeve (20) from two different regions, and feathers (37) and a strength reinforcing connection (39) forming resistance against the high pressure to be formed in said reinforcing flange (35) and body flange (36). The sleeve (20) also provides a high level of sealing with water pressure channels (22). Against the high pressure that will occur; strength reinforcing connection (39) element with fasteners structured on the reinforcing flange (35) and body flange (36), connecting the opposite flanges with each other, is included in the system. On the other hand, a valve cavity (41 ) is formed on the sleeve (20) and the main body (31 ) for the discharge of water leakage on the said pipe (10), and a valve (40) is installed in this cavity. Thanks to this valve (40), the water, which creates high pressure and is in constant flow, is both discharged and the repair clamp (30) is provided to be fixed easily and stably on the sleeve (20) in a high pressure environment. Otherwise, that is, if there is no valve (40), the desired tightening (fixing) process cannot be done properly with the pressure of the water inside the pipe.

[0040] It comprises screw holes (38) in which said fasteners (33) are housed and fixing ears (34) with vertical shafts that generate a high compressive force on four sides on the vertical axis.

[0041] Installation of the repair clamp on the sleeve (30) is as follows. The apparatus, which has a two-piece structure to grasp the joint edge (21 ) of the pipe (10) and the sleeve (20) where water leakage occurs, is directly attached to the sleeve (20). By positioning the reinforcing flange (35) so as to grasp the joint edge (21 ), the fasteners (33) are tightened by means of the personnel and the pipe (10) and the sleeve (20) are confined in the apparatus. During this installation, there is no need to shut off the city network line or to drain the water in the line. By mounting directly on the sleeve (20), the repair and maintenance process is completed quickly and easily and at low cost.

Claims

CLAIMS1 - A repair clamp (30) on the sleeve (20) directly mounted on the sleeves (30) used in the junction areas of the pipes (10) used in the water leaks occurring in the pipes (10) in the city network lines, characterized in that it comprises the following;- the main body (31 ) of multi-part construction with a positioning area (32) fixed directly on the sleeve (20) in the presence of water flow, without the need to shut off the city mains water flow line,- fasteners (33) securing the tube (10) and sleeve (20) enclosed in the main body (31 ), which is said to be of a multi-part structure,- the reinforcing flange (35) and the body flange (36) gripping the water-leaking joint edge (21 ) of the said pipe (10) and sleeve (20) at two different locations,- the strength reinforcing connection (39) having fasteners configured on said reinforcing flange (35) and the body flange (36), connecting the opposing flanges with each other.2- The repair clamp on sleeve (30) according to claim 1 , characterized in that it comprises fixing ears (34) with vertical shafts in which said fasteners (33) are housed and which generate a high compressive force on four sides in the vertical axis.3- The repair clamp on sleeve (30) according to claim 1 , characterized in that it comprises a plurality of feathers (37) forming a resistance against the high pressure to be generated in said reinforcing flange (35) and body flange (36).4- The repair clamp on sleeve (30) according to claim 1 , characterized in that it comprises a reinforcing flange (35) and a body flange (36) configured to form an angle of 90 degrees to each other.5- The repair clamp on sleeve (30) according to claim 1 , characterized in that it comprises a valve cavity (41 ) configured on the sleeve (20) and the main body (31 ) for draining water leakage from said pipe (10).6- The repair clamp on sleeve (30) according to claim 1 , characterized in that it comprises a valve (40) for draining water leakage from said pipe (10) through said valve cavity (41 ).
