Description

Terminal and Communication Method

[0001] The present invention relates to a terminal and a communication method in a wireless communication system.

[0002] Technologies for further increasing the capacity of 3GPP (Registered Trademark) (3rd Generation Partnership Project) systems, further increasing the data transmission speed, and further reducing latency in the wireless section are being studied (for example, Non-Patent Document 1 and Non-Patent Document 2). Furthermore, in 3GPP Rel-19, technologies for low-power wake-up signals (LP (Low Power)-WUS (Wake Up Signal) / LP-WUR (Wake Up Receiver)) and low-power synchronization signals (LP-SS (Synchronization Signal)) in wireless communication systems are being discussed.

[0003] Here, in the 3GPP standard, a radio link failure recovery (RLFR) procedure and a beam failure recovery (BFR) procedure are defined.

[0004] 3GPP TS 38.300 V18.0.0(2023-12)3GPP TS 38.401 V18.0.0(2023-12)

[0005] When the terminal is monitoring LP-WUS after the completion of the RLFR and BFR procedures or during the execution of the RLFR and BFR procedures, it is not clear how to set the beam and TCI (Transmission Configuration Indicator). Therefore, there is a possibility that the terminal may not be able to appropriately execute the reception process of LP-WUS after the completion of the RLFR and BFR procedures or during the execution of the RLFR and BFR procedures.

[0006] The terminal in this embodiment includes a receiving unit that receives a low-power wake-up signal, and a control unit that executes a recovery procedure including at least one of a wireless link failure recovery procedure or a beam failure recovery procedure, wherein the control unit makes assumptions regarding the beam or TCI (Transmission Configuration Indicator) of the low-power wake-up signal after completion or during execution of the recovery procedure.

[0007] This embodiment enables the proper reception of low-power signals by terminals after or during wireless link fault recovery and beam fault recovery procedures.

[0009] This embodiment will be described below with reference to the drawings. Note that the embodiments described below are examples, and the embodiments to which the present invention applies are not limited to those described below.

[0010] The wireless communication system of this embodiment operates using existing technology. Existing technology is, for example, wireless communication technology based on communication standards such as the 3GPP standard. Existing technology is, for example, NR (New Radio), but is not limited to existing NR. As used herein, the term "NR" has a broad meaning that includes NR (5G) and later systems (e.g., 6G), unless otherwise specified.

[0011] In the embodiments described below, terms such as SS (Synchronization signal), PSS (Primary SS), SSS (Secondary SS), PBCH (Physical broadcast channel), PRACH (Physical random access channel), PDCCH (Physical Downlink Control Channel), PDSCH (Physical Downlink Shared Channel), PUCCH (Physical Uplink Control Channel), and PUSCH (Physical Uplink Shared Channel), which are used in existing LTE systems, will be used. This is for convenience of description, and similar signals, functions, etc., may be called by other names. In NR, the above terms will be referred to as SS, PSS, SSS, PBCH, PRACH, etc., without any particular distinction from LTE.

[0012] Furthermore, in this embodiment, the duplex method may be a TDD (Time Division Duplex) method, an FDD (Frequency Division Duplex) method, or any other method (for example, a Flexible Duplex).

[0013] Furthermore, in this embodiment, "configuring" wireless parameters means that predetermined values are pre-configured, or that wireless parameters notified from the base station 10 or terminal 20 are configured.

[0014] Figure 1 shows an example of the configuration of a wireless communication system in this embodiment. The wireless communication system in this embodiment includes a base station 10 and a terminal 20, as shown in Figure 1. Figure 1 shows one base station 10 and one terminal 20, but this is an example, and there may be multiple base stations 10 and terminals 20.

[0015] Base station 10 is a communication device that provides one or more cells and communicates wirelessly with terminal 20. The physical resources of the wireless signal are defined in the time domain and the frequency domain. The time domain may be defined by the number of OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) symbols, and the frequency domain may be defined by the number of subcarriers or resource blocks. Base station 10 transmits synchronization signals and system information to terminal 20. Synchronization signals are, for example, PSS and SSS. System information is transmitted, for example, via PBCH and is also called broadcast information. Synchronization signals and system information may be called SSB (SS / PBCH block). As shown in Figure 1, base station 10 transmits control signals or data to terminal 20 via DL (Downlink) and receives control signals or data from terminal 20 via UL (Uplink). Both base station 10 and terminal 20 are capable of transmitting and receiving signals using beamforming. Furthermore, both base station 10 and terminal 20 are capable of applying MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) communication to DL or UL. Furthermore, both the base station 10 and the terminal 20 may communicate via secondary cells (SCell) and primary cells (PCell) using Carrier Aggregation (CA). In addition, the terminal 20 may communicate via the primary cell of base station 10 and the primary secondary cell group cell (PSCell) of another base station 10 using Dual Connectivity (DC).

[0016] Terminal 20 is a communication device equipped with wireless communication capabilities, such as a smartphone, mobile phone, tablet, wearable device, or M2M (Machine-to-Machine) communication module. As shown in Figure 1, Terminal 20 receives control signals or data from the base station 10 via DL and transmits control signals or data to the base station 10 via UL, thereby utilizing various communication services provided by the wireless communication system. Terminal 20 also receives various reference signals transmitted from the base station 10 and performs propagation path quality measurement based on the reception results of said reference signals.

[0017] In the following explanation, " / " means "and / or" unless otherwise specified, or unless the context makes it clear that it has a different meaning.

[0018] In 3GPP (registered trademark), a power consumption reduction technology called "Low-Power Wake Up Signal and Receiver" is being discussed. The Low-Power Wake Up Signal is called LP-WUS or WUS, and the Low-Power Wake Up Receiver is called LP-WUR, WUR, or LR. As an alternative to the Main Radio (MR), which is the circuit used for normal data communication, a simplified circuit called LR that operates with lower power consumption than the MR is activated, introducing a state called Ultra-Deep Sleep. The LR may have a function that triggers the power off of the MR when the LR receives an LP-WUS signal, or it may have a function that triggers the power on of the MR.

[0019] The following is the agreement regarding the scope of application of LP-WUS / WUR in 3GPP Rel-19.

[0020] To specify an LP-WUS design that is common to both RRC IDLE / INACTIVE mode and RRC CONNECTED mode, an OFDM sequence is specified in which an OOK (OOK-1 and / or OOK-4) based LP-WUS is overlaid on OOK symbols, and at least LP-WUS duty cycle monitoring is supported. In the LP-WUS design, the same information must be delivered regardless of the LP-WUS type in IDLE / INACTIVE operation. The OFDM sequence may transmit the information.

[0021] In RRC IDLE / INACTIVE mode, this specifies the LP-WUS procedure and configuration for paging monitoring triggered by LP-WUS. This procedure and configuration includes at least the settings, subgrouping, and entry / exit conditions for LP-WUS monitoring.

[0022] - For synchronization and / or serving cell RRM, specify an LP-SS with a periodicity of Y[ms] for the LP-WUR. The LP-SS is based on OOK-1 and / or OOK-4 waveforms, with or without an OFDM sequence overlay. For LP-WURs that can receive existing PSS / SSS, the existing PSS / SSS can be used instead of the LP-SS for synchronization and RRM.

[0023] - Specify, including any necessary conditions, that the RRM of the UE MR be further relaxed in measurements of both the serving cell and the neighbor cell, and that the RRM measurement of the UE serving cell be offloaded from the MR to the LP-WUR.

[0024] In RRC CONNECTED mode, the procedure for enabling and disabling LP-WUS monitoring, as well as the procedure for enabling UE MR PDCCH monitoring triggered by LP-WUS, is specified. In CONNECTED mode, UE MR ultra-deep sleep is not considered, and UE RRM / RLM / BFD / CSI measurements are performed by MR.

[0025] The target coverage for LP-WUS and LP-SS will be the same as the coverage of PUSCH in message3. Optimization of the LP-WUS signal design for idle / inactive mode takes precedence over optimization for connected mode.

[0026] Figure 2 shows an example of the RRC reconnection procedure.

[0027] The terminal declares a radio link failure (RLF) if it detects the expiration of the radio problem timer that was started after the radio problem signal from the physical layer (if the radio problem is resolved before the timer expires, the UE stops the timer) if the following criteria are met:

[0028] After an RLF is declared, the terminal maintains the RRC_CONNECTED state. Otherwise, in the case of an RLF on a serving cell, or a DAPS handover, or an RLF on a target cell before the source cell is released, it selects an appropriate cell and begins RRC re-establishment. If no appropriate cell is found within a certain time after the RLF is declared, it transitions to the RRC_IDLE state.

[0029] Figure 3 shows an example of the BFR procedure. For beam fault recovery, in the case of a PCell, the terminal triggers BFR by initiating a random access procedure on the PCell. Once the random access procedure is complete, the PCell's beam fault recovery is considered complete. In the case of an SCell, the terminal triggers BFR by initiating the transmission of a BFR MAC CE to that SCell. The SCell's beam fault recovery is considered complete when it receives a PDCCH indicating an uplink grant for a new transmission to the HARQ process used to transmit the BFR MAC CE.

[0030] Here, it is unclear how the beam and TCI (Transmission Configuration Indicator) should be configured when the terminal is monitoring LP-WUS after or during the completion of RLFR and BFR procedures. Therefore, the terminal may not be able to properly process LP-WUS reception after or during the completion of RLFR and BFR procedures.

[0031] In this embodiment, LP-WUS (low-power wake-up signal) and LP-SS (low-power synchronization signal) are examples of low-power signals. For example, legacy (conventional) NR signals / channels are an example of signals that do not include low-power signals or signals that are different from low-power signals.

[0032] The terminal in this embodiment may be a terminal in RRC_CONNECTED mode. However, the terminal in this embodiment is not limited to a terminal in RRC_CONNECTED mode.

[0033] The beam in this embodiment may be referred to as a TCI state or a QCL association, or it may include both a TCI state and a QCL association.

[0034] In the following explanation, the notation [A / B / C / D] means at least one of A, B, C, or D, and any combination such as A and B or A, B, and C is possible.

[0035] Each embodiment in this embodiment may be performed independently, or any combination of multiple embodiments may be performed.

[0036] (Example 1) According to Example 1, the terminal's assumption (UE assumption) regarding the LP-WUS beam / TCI may be made after the completion of the RLFR and BFR procedures. As shown in Figure 4, in step S101, the RLFR and BFR procedures are performed. In step S102, after the completion of the RLFR and BFR procedures, terminal 20 makes an assumption about the LP-WUS beam / TCI. Terminal 20 uses the beam / TCI assumed in step S102 to perform reception processing of the LP-WUS.

[0037] (Example 1-1) After the RLFR and / or BFR procedure is completed, terminal 20 may assume that the LP-WUS beam / TCI corresponds to a candidate beam identified immediately before initiating the beam recovery procedure, a beam identified during the beam recovery procedure, or a beam associated with DL reception / UL transmission during the beam recovery procedure.

[0038] For example, after the RLFR and / or BFR procedures are completed, terminal 20 may assume that the LP-WUS beam / TCI corresponds to the candidate beam identified for the recovery procedure.

[0039] For example, after the RLFR and / or BFR procedure is completed, terminal 20 may assume that the LP-WUS beam / TCI corresponds to the response to the BFR by the [CBRA / CFRA / BFR MAC CE].

[0040] For example, after the RLFR and / or BFR procedure is completed, terminal 20 may assume that the LP-WUS beam / TCI corresponds to at least one of the following: a CORESET associated with a PDCCH scheduling Msg1 and Msg2; a CORESET associated with a PDCCH scheduling Msg2, Msg3 and Msg4; a CORESET associated with a PDCCH scheduling Msg4, MsgA and MsgB; a CORESET associated with a PDCCH with MsgB and C-RNTI; or a CORESET associated with a PDDCH indicating an uplink grant.

[0041] For example, after the RLFR and / or BFR procedure is completed, the terminal 20 may assume that the beam / TCI of LP-WUS corresponds to the beam with the best quality among the measured / reported beams or one of the measured / reported beams with a quality higher than a predetermined threshold. The predetermined threshold may be defined in advance according to the specification. The predetermined threshold may be set by SIB or RRC, or may be specified by MAC CE or DCI. The quality may be, for example, RSRP (Reference Signal Received Power), RSRQ (Reference Signal Received Quality), or SINR (Signal to Interference plus Noise Ratio).

[0042] (Embodiment 1-2) After the RLFR and / or BFR procedure is completed, the terminal 20 may assume that the beam / TCI of LP-WUS corresponds to the association between LP-WUS and CORESET.

[0043] After the RLFR and / or BFR procedure is completed, the terminal 20 may assume that the beam / TCI of LP-WUS follows the TCI of a predefined CORESET (for example, the CORESET with the smallest CORESET ID).

[0044] For example, after the RLFR and / or BFR procedure is completed, if there is only one CORESET, the terminal 20 may assume that the beam / TCI of LP-WUS follows the TCI of the CORESET of the PDCCH triggered by LP-WUS.

[0045] For example, after the RLFR and / or BFR procedure is completed, if there are multiple monitored CORESETs, the terminal 20 may assume that the beam / TCI of LP-WUS follows the TCI of the CORESET with the smallest CORESET ID of the PDCCH triggered by LP-WUS.

[0046] (Examples 1-3) After the RLFR and / or BFR procedure is completed, the terminal 20 may assume that the beam / TCI of LP-WUS corresponds to the configured TCI state of LP-WUS.

[0047] The configured TCI state is indicated by at least one of RRC, system information, DCI, or MAC CE by the base station 10 before or during the recovery procedure.

[0048] For example, when only one TCI state is set for LP-WUS, the terminal 20 may use this TCI state.

[0049] For example, when multiple TCI states are set for LP-WUS, the terminal 20 may use the activated TCI state or the pre-defined TCI state.

[0050] For example, when multiple TCI states are set for LP-WUS and the terminal 20 has not yet received the activation signal (e.g., DCI or MAC CE) of the TCI state, the terminal 20 may use the TCI state with the minimum TCI ID.

[0051] Regarding LP-WUS monitoring in the RRC connected mode, in the method of defining / setting / indicating the TCI state of LP-WUS for down-selection, the reuse of the TCI state framework for indicating the TCI state of LP-WUS may be applied.

[0052] In this case, for example, after the RLFR and / or BFR procedure is completed, based on the reuse of the TCI state framework for indicating the TCI state of LP-WUS, in the case of BFR, the terminal 20 may follow Example 1-1 or Example 1-3.

[0053] For example, after the RLFR and / or BFR procedure is completed, based on the reuse of the TCI state framework for indicating the TCI state of LP-WUS, in the case of RLFR, when the RRC is reconfigured, the terminal 20 may follow Example 1-3.

[0054] Regarding LP-WUS monitoring in RRC connection mode, the association of TCI states between LP-WUS and CORESET may be applied in the method of defining / setting / instructing the TCI state of LP-WUS for down selection.

[0055] In this case, for example, after the RLFR and / or BFR procedure is completed, based on the association of TCI states between LP-WUS and CORESET, in the case of BFR, terminal 20 may follow Example 1-1 or Example 1-2.

[0056] For example, after the RLFR and / or BFR procedure is completed, if the RRC is reset based on the association of TCI states between LP-WUS and CORESET, in the case of RLFR, the terminal 20 may follow Example 1-2.

[0057] Regarding LP-WUS monitoring in RRC connection mode, the default TCI state may be used in defining / setting / instructing the LP-WUS TCI state for down selection.

[0058] For example, after the RLFR and / or BFR procedure is completed, based on the default TCI state, in the case of BFR, terminal 20 may follow Example 1-1.

[0059] For example, after the RLFR and / or BFR procedure is completed, if the RRC is reset based on the default TCI state, in the case of RLFR, the terminal 20 may follow the newly set (default) TCI state as in Example 1-3.

[0060] (Modification of Example 1) If terminal 20 is configured in the TCI state of LP-WUS, after the BFR procedure, terminal 20 may assume that the LP-WUS beam / TCI corresponds to the beam identified by the recovery procedure until it receives activation of the TCI state or PUCCH-SpatialRelationInfo from the upper layer. After activation, terminal 20 may assume that the LP-WUS is in the activated TCI state.

[0061] If terminal 20 is configured in the LP-WUS TCI state, after the BFR procedure, terminal 20 may assume that the LP-WUS beam / TCI corresponds to the beam identified by the recovery procedure until it receives MAC CE activation in the TCI state. After activation, terminal 20 may assume the LP-WUS is in the activated TCI state.

[0062] According to Example 1, it is possible to enable the terminal to properly receive low-power signals after the wireless link failure recovery and beam failure recovery procedures.

[0063] (Example 2) According to Example 2, the terminal's assumption regarding the LP-WUS beam / TCI may be made during the RLFR and BFR procedures. As shown in Figure 5, in step S201, the RLFR and BFR procedures are performed. In step S202, during the RLFR and BFR procedures, terminal 20 makes an assumption about the LP-WUS beam / TCI. In step S202, terminal 20 performs the LP-WUS reception processing using the assumed beam / TCI. The period between the RLFR and BFR procedures is the period from the start to the completion of the RLFR and BFR procedures.

[0064] In Example 2, the phrase "after the RLFR and / or BFR procedure is completed" in Examples 1-1 to 1-3 described above may be replaced with "during the RLFR and / or BFR procedure."

[0065] If the LP-WUS is continuously used to trigger PDCCH monitoring during RLFR or BFR procedures, terminal 20 may assume that one or more of Examples 1-1 to 1-3 are applied to the LP-WUS beam / TCI used to monitor the response from base station 10.

[0066] For example, during the BFR procedure, terminal 20 may assume that the LP-WUS beam / TCI is based on Example 1-1.

[0067] For example, during the BFR procedure, terminal 20 may assume that the LP-WUS beam is the LP-WUS beam corresponding to the candidate beam identified before initiating the recovery procedure.

[0068] For example, during the RLFR procedure, terminal 20 may assume that the LP-WUS beam / TCI is based on Example 1-1.

[0069] For example, during the RLFR procedure, terminal 20 may assume that the LP-WUS beam corresponds to the best quality beam reported.

[0070] This embodiment enables the terminal to properly receive low-power signals during the execution of wireless link fault recovery and beam fault recovery procedures.

[0071] (Device Configuration) Next, an example of the functional configuration of the base station 10 and terminal 20 that perform the processes and operations described above will be explained. [0079] (Hardware Configuration) The block diagrams (Figures 6 and 7) used in the description of the above embodiments show functional units. These functional blocks (components) are realized by any combination of at least one of hardware and software. Furthermore, the method of realizing each functional block is not particularly limited. That is, each functional block may be realized using one device that is physically or logically coupled, or it may be realized using two or more physically or logically separated devices that are directly or indirectly connected (for example, using wired or wireless connections). A functional block may be realized by combining the one device or the multiple devices with software.

For example, a functional block (configuration part) that enables transmission is called a transmitting unit or transmitter. In all cases, as mentioned above, the method of implementation is not particularly limited.

[0081] For example, the base station 10, terminal 20, etc. in one embodiment of the present disclosure may function as a computer that processes the wireless communication method of the present disclosure. Figure 8 is a diagram showing an example of the hardware configuration of the base station 10 and terminal 20 according to one embodiment of the present disclosure. The above-mentioned base station 10 and terminal 20 may be physically configured as a computer device including a processor 1001, a storage device 1002, an auxiliary storage device 1003, a communication device 1004, an input device 1005, an output device 1006, a bus 1007, etc.

[0082] In the following explanation, the term "device" can be read as "circuit," "device," "unit," etc. The hardware configuration of the base station 10 and terminal 20 may include one or more of the devices shown in the figure, or it may be configured without some of the devices.

[0083] Each function in the base station 10 and terminal 20 is realized by loading predetermined software (programs) onto hardware such as the processor 1001 and storage device 1002, which allows the processor 1001 to perform calculations, control communication by the communication device 1004, and control at least one of data reading and writing in the storage device 1002 and auxiliary storage device 1003.

[0106] The processing procedures, sequences, flowcharts, etc., of each aspect / embodiment described herein may be reordered, provided they are consistent with each other. For example, the methods described herein present various step elements in an exemplary order and are not limited to that specific order.

[0107] In this specification, specific operations performed by the base station 10 may, in some cases, be performed by its upper node. In a network consisting of one or more network nodes having a base station 10, it is clear that various operations performed for communication with the terminal 20 can be performed by the base station 10 and at least one of the other network nodes (for example, an MME or S-GW, but not limited to these). Although the above example illustrates the case where there is one other network node besides the base station 10, the other network node may be a combination of multiple other network nodes (for example, an MME and an S-GW).

[0108] The information or signals described in this disclosure may be output from a higher layer (or lower layer) to a lower layer (or higher layer). They may also be input and output via multiple network nodes.

[0109] Input and output information may be stored in a specific location (e.g., memory) or managed using a management table. Input and output information may be overwritten, updated, or appended to. Output information may be deleted. Input information may be transmitted to other devices.

[0110] The determination in this disclosure may be made by a value represented by one bit (0 or 1), by a Boolean value (true or false), or by a numerical comparison (for example, a comparison with a predetermined value).

[0111] Software should be broadly interpreted to mean instructions, instruction sets, code, code segments, program code, programs, subprograms, software modules, applications, software applications, software packages, routines, subroutines, objects, executable files, execution threads, procedures, functions, and so on, whether they are called software, firmware, middleware, microcode, hardware description languages, or by any other name.

[0112] Furthermore, software, instructions, information, etc., may be transmitted and received via a transmission medium. For example, if software is transmitted from a website, server, or other remote source using at least one of wired technology (such as coaxial cable, fiber optic cable, twisted pair, or digital subscriber line (DSL)) and wireless technology (such as infrared or microwave), then at least one of these wired and wireless technologies is included in the definition of a transmission medium.

[0113] The information, signals, etc. described in this disclosure may be represented using any of the various different techniques. For example, the data, instructions, commands, information, signals, bits, symbols, chips, etc. that may be referred to throughout the above description may be represented by voltage, current, electromagnetic waves, magnetic fields or magnetic particles, optical fields or photons, or any combination thereof.

[0114] In addition, terms used in this disclosure and terms necessary for understanding this disclosure may be replaced with terms having the same or similar meanings. For example, at least one of the channel and symbol may be a signal (signaling). Also, a signal may be a message. Furthermore, a component carrier (CC) may be called a carrier frequency, cell, frequency carrier, etc.

[0115] The terms “system” and “network” as used in this disclosure are interchangeable.

[0116] Furthermore, the information, parameters, etc., described in this disclosure may be expressed using absolute values, relative values from a given value, or other corresponding information. For example, wireless resources may be indicated by an index.

[0117] The names used for the parameters described above are not restrictive in any way. Furthermore, the formulas and other expressions using these parameters may differ from those expressly disclosed in this disclosure. Various channels (e.g., PUCCH, PDCCH, etc.) and information elements can be identified by any suitable name, and therefore, the various names assigned to these various channels and information elements are not restrictive in any way.

[0118] In this disclosure, terms such as "Base Station (BS)", "wireless base station", "base station equipment", "fixed station", "NodeB", "eNodeB (eNB)", "gNodeB (gNB)", "access point", "transmission point", "reception point", "transmission / reception point", "cell", "sector", "cell group", "carrier", and "component carrier" may be used interchangeably. Base stations may also be referred to by terms such as macrocell, small cell, femtocell, and picocell.

[0119] A base station can accommodate one or more (e.g., three) cells. If a base station accommodates multiple cells, the entire coverage area of the base station can be divided into multiple smaller areas, each of which may also be provided with communication services by a base station subsystem (e.g., a Remote Radio Head (RRH)). The terms “cell” or “sector” refer to part or all of the coverage area of at least one of the base station and / or base station subsystems that provide communication services in that coverage.

[0120] In this disclosure, the transmission of information by a base station to a terminal may be interpreted as the base station instructing the terminal to perform control or operation based on the information.

[0121] In this disclosure, terms such as "Mobile Station (MS)," "user terminal," "User Equipment (UE)," and "terminal" may be used interchangeably.

[0122] A mobile station may also be referred to by those skilled in the art as a subscriber station, mobile unit, subscriber unit, wireless unit, remote unit, mobile device, wireless device, wireless communication device, remote device, mobile subscriber station, access terminal, mobile terminal, wireless terminal, remote terminal, handset, user agent, mobile client, client, or several other appropriate terms.

[0123] At least one of the base station and the mobile station may be called a transmitting device, a receiving device, a communication device, etc. At least one of the base station and the mobile station may also be a device mounted on a mobile body, the mobile body itself, etc. The mobile body refers to a movable object, and its speed of movement is arbitrary. This also includes the case when the mobile body is stationary. The mobile body includes, but is not limited to, vehicles, transport vehicles, automobiles, motorcycles, bicycles, connected cars, excavators, bulldozers, wheel loaders, dump trucks, forklifts, trains, buses, handcarts, rickshaws, ships and other watercraft, airplanes, rockets, satellites, drones (registered trademark), multicopters, quadcopters, balloons, and items mounted on them. The mobile body may also be a mobile body that moves autonomously based on operation commands. It may be a vehicle (e.g., a car, an airplane, etc.), an unmanned mobile body (e.g., a drone, an autonomous vehicle, etc.), or a robot (manned or unmanned). Furthermore, at least one of the base station and the mobile station may include devices that do not necessarily move during communication operations. For example, at least one of the base station and the mobile station may be an IoT (Internet of Things) device such as a sensor.

[0124] Furthermore, the term "base station" in this disclosure may be interpreted as "user terminal." For example, the various aspects / embodiments of this disclosure may be applied to a configuration in which communication between a base station and a user terminal is replaced with communication between multiple terminals 20 (which may be called, for example, D2D (Device-to-Device), V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything), etc.). In this case, the terminals 20 may have the functions that the base station 10 has. Also, terms such as "uplink" and "downlink" may be interpreted as terms corresponding to terminal-to-terminal communication (for example, "side"). For example, uplink channel, downlink channel, etc., may be interpreted as side channel.

[0125] Similarly, the term "user terminal" in this disclosure may be replaced with "base station." In this case, the base station may be configured to have the same functions as the user terminal described above.

[0126] As used in this disclosure, the terms “determining” and “determining” may encompass a wide variety of actions. “Determining” may include, for example, judging, calculating, computing, processing, deriving, investigating, looking up, searching, or inquiring (e.g., searching in a table, database, or other data structure), or ascertaining. “Determining” may also include receiving (e.g., receiving information), transmitting (e.g., sending information), inputting, outputting, or accessing (e.g., accessing data in memory). Furthermore, "judgment" and "decision" can include considering something as having been "judged" or "decided" after resolving, selecting, choosing, establishing, comparing, etc. In other words, "judgment" and "decision" can include considering something as having been "judged" or "decided" after some action. Also, "judgment (decision)" can be reinterpreted as "assuming," "expecting," or "considering."

[0127] The terms “connected,” “coupled,” and any variations thereof mean any direct or indirect connection or coupling between two or more elements, and may include the presence of one or more intermediate elements between two elements that are “connected” or “coupled” with each other. The coupling or connection between elements may be physical, logical, or a combination thereof. For example, “connection” may be reinterpreted as “access.” As used in this disclosure, two elements may be considered to be “connected” or “coupled” with each other using at least one of one or more wires, cables, and printed electrical connections, and, in some non-limiting and non-exclusive examples, electromagnetic energy having wavelengths in the radio frequency domain, microwave domain, and optical (both visible and invisible) domain.

[0128] The reference signal can also be abbreviated as RS (Reference Signal), and may be called a pilot depending on the applicable standard.

[0129] In this disclosure, the phrase "based on" does not mean "based solely on" unless otherwise specified. In other words, the phrase "based on" means both "based solely on" and "based at least on."

[0130] Any reference to elements using the designations “first,” “second,” etc., as used in this disclosure does not generally limit the quantity or order of those elements. These designations may be used in this disclosure as a convenient way to distinguish between two or more elements. Accordingly, references to the first and second elements do not imply that only two elements may be employed, or that the first element must precede the second element in any way.

[0131] In the configuration of each of the above devices, "means" may be replaced with "part," "circuit," "device," etc.

[0132] Where the terms “include,” “including,” and variations thereof are used in this disclosure, these terms are intended to be inclusive, as is the term “comprising.” Furthermore, the term “or” as used in this disclosure is not intended to mean exclusive OR.

[0133] A wireless frame may consist of one or more frames in the time domain. Each of these frames in the time domain may be called a subframe. A subframe may further consist of one or more slots in the time domain. A subframe may have a fixed time length (e.g., 1 ms) that is independent of numerology.

[0134] Numerical logic may be communication parameters applied to at least one of the transmission and reception of a signal or channel. Numerical logic may include, for example, at least one of the following: subcarrier spacing (SCS), bandwidth, symbol length, cyclic prefix length, transmission time interval (TTI), number of symbols per TTI, radio frame configuration, specific filtering processes performed by the transceiver in the frequency domain, and specific windowing processes performed by the transceiver in the time domain.

[0135] A slot may consist of one or more symbols in the time domain (such as OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) symbols, SC-FDMA (Single Carrier Frequency Division Multiple Access) symbols, etc.). A slot may also be a time unit based on neurologic.

[0136] A slot may include multiple minislots. Each minislot may consist of one or more symbols in the time domain. Minislots may also be called subslots. Minislots may consist of fewer symbols than a slot. A PDSCH (or PUSCH) transmitted in a time unit larger than a minislot may be called a PDSCH (or PUSCH) mapping type A. A PDSCH (or PUSCH) transmitted using a minislot may be called a PDSCH (or PUSCH) mapping type B.

[0137] Wireless frames, subframes, slots, minislots, and symbols all represent units of time when transmitting a signal. Different names may be used for each of these terms.

[0138] For example, one subframe may be called a Transmission Time Interval (TTI), multiple consecutive subframes may be called a TTI, or one slot or one minislot may be called a TTI. In other words, at least one of a subframe and a TTI may be a subframe in existing LTE (1 ms), a period shorter than 1 ms (e.g., 1-13 symbols), or a period longer than 1 ms. Note that the unit representing the TTI may be called a slot, minislot, etc., instead of a subframe.

[0139] Here, TTI refers to, for example, the smallest time unit for scheduling in wireless communication. For example, in an LTE system, the base station schedules each terminal 20 to allocate wireless resources (such as the frequency bandwidth and transmission power available to each terminal 20) in TTI units. However, the definition of TTI is not limited to this.

[0140] TTI may be a transmission time unit for channel-encoded data packets (transport blocks), code blocks, code words, etc., or it may be a processing unit for scheduling, link adaptation, etc. When a TTI is given, the actual time interval (e.g., number of symbols) in which the transport block, code block, code word, etc. are mapped may be shorter than the TTI.

[0141] Furthermore, if one slot or one mini-slot is referred to as a TTI, then one or more TTIs (i.e., one or more slots or one or more mini-slots) may constitute the minimum time unit for scheduling. In addition, the number of slots (number of mini-slots) that constitute this minimum time unit for scheduling may be controlled.

[0142] A TTI with a time length of 1 ms may be called a normal TTI, a long TTI, a normal subframe, a long subframe, a slot, etc. A TTI shorter than a normal TTI may be called a shortened TTI, a short TTI, a partial or fractional TTI, a shortened subframe, a short subframe, a mini slot, a sub slot, a slot, etc.

[0143] Furthermore, long TTIs (e.g., normal TTIs, subframes, etc.) may be interpreted as TTIs with a time length exceeding 1 ms, and short TTIs (e.g., shortened TTIs, etc.) may be interpreted as TTIs with a TTI length less than that of a long TTI but 1 ms or more.

[0144] A resource block (RB) is a resource allocation unit in the time domain and frequency domain, and in the frequency domain, it may contain one or more consecutive subcarriers. The number of subcarriers in an RB may be the same regardless of the neurology, for example, 12. The number of subcarriers in an RB may be determined based on the neurology.

[0145] Furthermore, the time domain of the RB may contain one or more symbols and may be the length of one slot, one minislot, one subframe, or one TTI. One TTI, one subframe, etc., may each consist of one or more resource blocks.

[0146] One or more RBs may also be called a Physical RB (PRB), Sub-Carrier Group (SCG), Resource Element Group (REG), PRB pair, RB pair, etc.

[0147] Furthermore, a resource block may consist of one or more resource elements (REs). For example, one RE may be a radio resource area comprising one subcarrier and one symbol.

[0148] A Bandwidth Part (BWP), also known as a partial bandwidth, may represent a subset of consecutive common resource blocks (RBs) for a particular neurology in a given carrier. These common RBs may be identified by an index of the RBs relative to a common reference point of the carrier. The PRBs may be defined and numbered within a given BWP.

[0149] A BWP may include a BWP for UL (UL BWP) and a BWP for DL (DL BWP). One or more BWPs may be set within a single carrier for a UE.

[0150] At least one of the configured BWPs may be active, and the UE does not need to assume that it will transmit or receive a predetermined signal / channel outside of the active BWP. In this disclosure, terms such as "cell" and "carrier" may be read as "BWP".

[0151] The structures described above, such as wireless frames, subframes, slots, minislots, and symbols, are merely illustrative. For example, the number of subframes included in a wireless frame, the number of slots per subframe or wireless frame, the number of minislots included in a slot, the number of symbols and RBs included in a slot or minislot, the number of subcarriers included in an RB, and the number of symbols, symbol length, and cyclic prefix (CP) length within a TTI can be varied in various ways.

[0152] In this disclosure, if articles are added through translation, such as a, an, and the in English, this disclosure may include the fact that the noun following these articles is plural.

[0153] In this disclosure, the term "A and B are different" may mean "A and B are different from each other." The term may also mean "A and B are each different from C." Terms such as "separate" and "combine" may be interpreted similarly to "different."

[0154] Each aspect / embodiment described in this disclosure may be used individually, in combination, or switched between as needed during implementation. Furthermore, notification of specific information (e.g., notification that "X is") is not limited to explicit notification, but may also be implicit (e.g., by not providing such notification).

[0155] Although the present disclosure has been described in detail above, it will be clear to those skilled in the art that the present disclosure is not limited to the embodiments described herein. The present disclosure can be implemented in modified and altered forms without departing from the intent and scope of the present disclosure as defined by the claims. Therefore, the descriptions in the present disclosure are illustrative and not intended to be restrictive in any way.

3. The terminal according to claim 1, wherein the control unit assumes that the beam or TCI corresponds to a response to the recovery procedure by CBRA (Configured BFR (Beam Failure Recovery) Resource), CFRA (Configured Grant for BFR), or MAC CE.

4. A communication method performed by a terminal, comprising: a receiving step of receiving a low-power wake-up signal; and a control step of performing a recovery procedure including at least one of a radio link failure recovery procedure or a beam failure recovery procedure, wherein the control step makes assumptions regarding the beam or TCI (Transmission Configuration Indicator) of the low-power wake-up signal after completion or during the execution of the recovery procedure.
