Abstract
Proposed is a head-up display comprising an image-generating device configured to generate a light beam (3) and an optical system that is distinct from the image-generating device, that is located at a distance therefrom and that is configured to receive and transmit the light beam from / to a partially transparent plate, the image-generating device comprising a light source configured to generate the light beam, an array (10) of elements of variable transmittance that is configured to selectively receive and transmit the light beam, and a hot mirror (12) and polariser (13) placed on the optical path of the light beam downstream of the array of elements of variable transmittance relative to the direction of propagation of the light beam, the hot mirror being placed upstream of the polariser on the optical path.
