Abstract

The present disclosure provides a dental aspirator (1) for removing fluid from an oral cavity of a patient. The aspirator (1) comprises a compact body (2) for being placed in the oral cavity. The body (2) comprises a membrane (3) enclosing a foam material core (4), and the membrane (3) comprises one or more openings (5) allowing fluid to enter the foam material core (4). The compact body (2) has first and second sides (2a, 2b) that are oppositely arranged and connected to one another at a boundary (6) between the first and second sides (2a, 2b). The aspirator (1) further comprises an outlet section (7) configured to be connected to a suction device (10) and to convey fluid from the foam material core (4) to the suction device (10) when suction is applied to the aspirator (1) by the suction device (10).
