Abstract
Description
[0001] Descriptive Report of Utility Model Patent: CONSTRUCTIONAL ARRANGEMENT IN A PET BED
[0002] Subject:
[0003]
[0001] This Utility Model Patent describes a constructive arrangement in a pet bed, preferably for dogs and cats, that performs two functions in a single product due to its constructive form: pet bed and toy for their amusement. To this end, the bed comprises two cushions that fit together, one fixed to the removable cover and the other C-shaped and fitted internally to the same removable cover. The removable cover has an opening and closing mechanism, preferably with a zipper, but can also be done with buttons, clasps, hooks, and rings (Velcro). Externally, the removable cover has at least one object integrated into it for amusement, a toy, which can be a doll, teddy bear, animals, and others.
[0004] State of the Art:
[0005]
[0002] Pet beds with removable covers have been commonly used for a long time, generally to allow for cleaning, with the best-known being completely closed or having a zipper on one side, allowing the inner cushion to be removed for cleaning.
[0003] There are also known variations that have fixed central bases and protective sides that form a protective wall higher than the base. In the best-known models, after the cushions are inserted, the cover is sealed, preventing them from being changed or removed.
[0006]
[0004] Regarding patent references related to the subject, document MU 8800483-0, filed by FERRAZ on 07 / 16 / 2008, entitled “Arrangement Introduced in a Cushion for Domestic Animals”, is known. It presents a pet bed comprising a rectangular cushion with rounded corners, consisting of an outer waterproof or plastic fabric and an inner filling. These are joined together by seams applied along the peripheral edges and further secured with two parallel longitudinal seams with a fixing point at their ends, creating a padded effect. However, it can be observed that it refers only to a conventional pet bed, without the possibility of opening it to remove the inner filling for cleaning, nor any elements of amusement.
[0007]
[0005] Document BR 202015019813-8, filed by DAMASCENO et al. on 08 / 18 / 2015, entitled “Pet Cushion Bed”, describes a cover and an over-cover with an internal space between them, filled internally by a cushion. The over-cover functions as a fixed blanket and is made attached to the cover at its side and bottom edges. However, it is only a bed for domestic animals, in the shape of a conventional pillow with an opening between the cover and over-cover, which are fixed to each other, so that the animal can take shelter in the free space between them.
[0008]
[0006] Document BR 102019010343-4, filed by BURIN on 05 / 21 / 2019, entitled “Pet Bed Cover”, describes a pet bed cover with a central base and longitudinal side panels that form a wall around the central base. The ends of the lower and upper edges of the side panels are fastened to each other by means of a joining element, and at least one side panel is attached to the base. Fastening methods include: elastic, Velcro, sewing, gluing, and welding. All panels are covered in fabric, such as cotton. However, it is understood that this is a cover for an inner base and side panels that separate from said base, with no internal compartment for cushions, pillows, etc., being merely a covering for existing beds. It is simply a cover with a base and a separate cover with removable longitudinal sides.
[0007] In the search for the state of the art, therefore, no documents and / or references were found that present or suggest a constructive form comprising a pet bed with a removable cover that includes two cushions that fit together and a fun element, such as a toy integrated into the outer face of the bed.
[0009] Inventive Concept:
[0010]
[0008] The present Constructive Arrangement for Pet Beds was developed with the objectives of: a) allowing the removal of the removable cover and consequently of one of the cushions from the closed inner compartment for cleaning; b) serving as a bed for animals and fun at the same time; c) providing a multiple experience to the consumer, especially for pets, insofar as they can play and rest in the bed.
[0011]
[0009] To achieve the above objectives, a means of integrating two cushions was developed, one fixed to the removable cover and the other independent, C-shaped, fitted internally to the removable cover, allowing removal for cleaning. The removable cover has opening and closing mechanisms, preferably with metal tooth fasteners, but it is also possible to use buttons, hooks and rings, clasps and others.
[0012]
[0010] In addition, on its outer surface, the pet bed incorporates objects that can be used for fun, such as toys, for example, animal heads, legs, paws and / or tails, fantasy animals, or even stylized dolls or other objects, such as a plush toy. The design of the fun object is fully customizable, and attractive themes can be used, such as dogs, cats, unicorns, bears, dolls, or others, catering to different audiences.
[0011] As functional improvements in use, there is the integration of the removable cover with an opening along its entire side, which allows for storage and removal of the inner cushion for cleaning and / or replacement of parts. In addition, the outer surface has a fun object integrated into the set, allowing the pet to interact with said toy.
[0013] Summary:
[0014]
[0012] The present Construction Arrangement for Pet Bed comprises a removable cover containing a fixed cushion and an internal compartment with a zipper for storing a cushion that has an open part and means of joining.
[0015]
[0013] It also includes the fact that the removable cover has fun objects that can be in the shape of animals or others.
[0016] Field of Application:
[0017]
[0014] The application of this Construction Arrangement in Pet Beds is as a bed with a removable cover, inner cushion and outer face integrated with a toy.
[0018] Advantages:
[0019]
[0015] The Constructive Arrangement in Pet Beds offers the following advantages:
[0020] • The bed has an internal compartment to accommodate the inner "C"-shaped pillow, allowing for its eventual replacement;
[0021] • By allowing diversification in terms of the shape or model of the play object integrated into the outer face of the bed, it offers an attractive product, especially for pets and their owners, enabling aesthetic differentiation in the market, combined with multiple uses and experiences;
[0022] • The product serves as a bed, but also acts as a toy. • In addition, the bed with a removable cushion allows for proper periodic cleaning of the cushion stored inside, which is easy to handle and remove. The bed itself can also be cleaned periodically, ensuring good usage practices for animals;
[0023] • The fact that the pet bed is made of preferably hypoallergenic fabric, but can be of various types, allows its safe use by pets, as well as the use of high-resistance stitching threads resulting in high durability of the item, even after successive washings and / or cleanings.

[0034] Description:
[0017] The Pet Bed Construction Arrangement comprises a removable cover (1) preferably made of flexible and lightweight material, with a delicate finish to the touch, similar to those commonly used in plush toys, but may be made of various equivalent materials, preferably hypoallergenic.
[0035]
[0018] The removable cover (1) has, on its outer face, objects permanently integrated, such as animal parts, fantasy beings, stylized doll limbs or toys like cars. Each object is soft, flexible and ergonomic, with hypoallergenic or equivalent and non-toxic coatings, ensuring the safety of pets, without compromising comfort when lying down, providing a playful and interactive experience.
[0036]
[0019] In its central part, the removable cover (1) comprises a fixed cushion (2), sewn onto the removable cover (1), which is not removable, resulting in a recessed part after the bed is assembled, surrounded by high edges, so as to form a central, preferably circular, cozy space for the pet.
[0037]
[0020] The removable cover (1) has a closed inner compartment (3), used to store the cushion (4). The inner compartment (3) is equipped with an opening and closing means that preferably runs along the entire side of the removable cover (1), herein referred to as a fastener (5), preferably a fastener with metal teeth, but other solutions may be used, such as straps that fit together, such as hooks and rings, buttons, clasps, or any other method that keeps the items protected and stored inside the inner compartment (3).
[0038]
[0021] The removable cover (1) has a toy object (6), exemplified in the drawings as an animal head, while the complementary toy objects (7), (8) and (9) represent the front, back and tail limbs of said animal or character. The themes of the toy objects (6) can vary widely, allowing customization and adaptation according to the preferences of the owners. In addition to animal heads and limbs, other playful elements can be incorporated, such as characters, dolls, cars or themed elements.
[0039]
[0022] The cushion (4) preferably has a “C” shape with an open part (10), the two parts being joined by means of fasteners (1 1 ), which may be tapes or similar. Due to its constructive shape, the cushion (4) fits around the fixed cushion (2), sewn onto the removable cover (1 ), fitting together to form a single cushion. After fitting, the open part (10) is closed using the fasteners (1 1 ).
[0040]
[0023] The junction between cushion (4) and cushion (2) forms a cozy space to be used by the pet. Cushion (4) can be removed for cleaning or replaced as needed, easily via the zipper (5).
[0041]
[0024] Figures 07 and 08 show a possible embodiment, in which the fun object (6) and the complementary fun objects (7), (8) and (9) represent the head, front limbs, hind limbs and tail of a dog, in an exemplary manner. Figure 8 shows the removable cover (1) without the cushion (4).
