A simulation system (10) comprises a simulation device (200) and an in-vehicle device (100), and is for use in allowing a user who wears a virtual space display device (300) inside a vehicle cabin of an automobile to experience a traveling state or an in-vehicle function of the automobile. The in-vehicle device has a vehicle communication unit (102) that transmits vehicle information acquired by an acquisition unit (101) to the simulation device and receives virtual vehicle information of a virtual automobile assumed by the simulation device. The simulation device has: a simulator communication unit (201) that receives the vehicle information from the in-vehicle device and transmits the virtual vehicle information to the in-vehicle device; a virtual content generation unit (203) that generates virtual content by using the vehicle information and scenario information indicating development of the virtual content; and a virtual vehicle information extraction unit (213) that extracts the virtual vehicle information from the virtual content or from the scenario information.
