A floor cleaner includes a canister including an inlet connected to a separator along an airpath, a base including a nozzle body having a suction inlet, a hose, and a wand. The canister includes a battery pack, a suction motor, and a battery pack receptacle to removably receive the battery pack. The wand includes a handle to drivingly move the nozzle body over a surface to be cleaned. The canister is removably connected to the wand such that the floor cleaner is selectively convertible between an upright vacuum mode in which the canister is connected to the wand for movement with the wand and a canister vacuum mode in which the canister is removed from the wand so that the wand is movable relative to the canister. The canister sits on the battery pack when the canister is sitting on the surface to be cleaned.
