Abstract

A method for providing a grinding device / grinding blade to form grooves in carbon anodes is described The method involves providing a grinding device with a body, a bore for configuring a shaft, an axis of rotation along which the body rotates, and an abrasive layer on the periphery of the body. The abrasive layer comprising industrial diamonds attached to a circumference of the body by galvanic vacuum brazing using a galvanic medium in a vacuum furnace. A corresponding grinding device for the formation of grooves in carbon electrodes is also described. A method of using the grinding device and their operation on the carbon electrodes is also described.
