Rotary compressor and refrigeration cycle apparatus

Abstract

This rotary compressor is provided with a compression mechanism part including a shaft (151) supported so as to rotate about a rotation axis (O). The compression mechanism part is provided with an end plate having a thrust bearing surface that supports a thrust surface (40) of the shaft (151), and a groove section (41) is formed in the thrust surface (40). The groove section (41) has a shape that increases the hydraulic pressure of lubricating oil drawn into the groove section (41) due to the rotation of the shaft (151). As a result, provided is a rotary compressor capable of improving performance in supplying lubricating oil to a thrust surface.
