AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing 3K-type planetary gear mechanisms suffer from significant wear of the sun gear and its bearing due to rotational input, and misalignment issues lead to reduced efficiency, necessitating costly replacement of the entire gear reducer.

Method used

A planetary gear mechanism design allowing for the independent replacement of the sun gear and its bearing, with a C-ring and stepped surfaces to secure the bearing, preventing axial movement and misalignment, and a simplified assembly process.

Benefits of technology

Enables cost-effective maintenance by replacing only worn components, reducing wear and misalignment, thereby maintaining efficiency and extending the lifespan of the gear mechanism.

Abstract

Provided are: a planetary gear mechanism that makes it possible to select replacement of only two components, namely, a sun gear and a bearing, and that facilitates assembly of the two components; and a planetary gear device comprising said planetary gear mechanism. A planetary gear mechanism (M1) comprises: a sun gear (2) comprising a rotary shaft (20); a carrier (4); a bearing (B1); and a C-ring (9). The carrier (4) comprises: an insertion path (R4) into which the sun gear (2) and the rotary shaft (20) can be inserted together with the bearing (B1); and a housing space (S4) in which the sun gear (2) can be housed. The bearing (B1) has an outer diameter larger than the addendum circle diameter of the sun gear (2), is close-fitted to the outer circumferential surface of the rotary shaft (20), and is clearance-fitted to the inner circumferential surface of the insertion path (R4). The C-ring (9) prevents the bearing (B1) from coming off by fitting into a fitting groove (4g).
