Insert Grommet

[0001] The present invention relates to an insert grommet that facilitates easy joining and separating while maintaining airtightness by forming a compression space through weight reduction in the assembly portion of the grommet, which is formed to correspond to the mounting hole of a dust cover.

[0002] Generally, automobiles are equipped with many electrical components, including headlights, brake lights, and interior lights, and such components are powered by a battery.

[0003] In addition, electricity supplied from the battery is distributed to electrical components installed inside the dust cover, and multiple connectors corresponding to each electrical component are provided inside the dust cover, and wiring is connected to the connectors of the dust cover, and waterproof grommets are used to prevent moisture, such as rainwater, from penetrating from the outside and causing a short circuit when the wiring is mounted on the dust cover.

Claims

1. An insert grommet formed such that a compression space, which can be deformed into a state of being compressed toward the center of the grommet body during compression for connection through weight reduction in the assembly part of the grommet formed to correspond to the mounting hole of the dust cover, is installed at an angle toward the center of the grommet body.

2. The insert grommet according to claim 1, characterized in that the grommet body has first and second contact surfaces on both sides of an assembly portion that is recessed into a grommet body in which a plurality of wires are integrally formed.

3. The insert grommet according to claim 1, wherein the assembly part is provided with a contact part that is recessed or protrudes on at least one side thereof in a shape into which a mounting hole is fitted.

4. An insert grommet according to claim 1, wherein the assembly part is characterized by maintaining an angle of the slimming shape of 20 to 30°.

5. An insert grommet according to claim 1, characterized in that the grommet is made of a soft material selected from silicone, urethane, or rubber.
