Abstract

Various aspects of the present disclosure relate to uplink (UL) synchronization. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) obtains at least one of timing advance or frequency shift of the UE for UL synchronization. The at least one of the timing advance and the frequency shift comprises at least one common part indicated by the BS and at least one individual part adjusted by the BS or the UE. A common part of the at least one common part comprises a minimum value, average value or maximum value to be compensated by the UE, and an individual part of the at least one individual part is a deviation compared to the common part. Based on the at least one of the timing advance and the frequency shift, the UE performs the UL synchronization to a base station (BS).

Description

UL SYNCHRONIZATIONTECHNICAL FIELD

[0001] The present disclosure relates to wireless communications, and more specifically to uplink (UL) synchronization.BACKGROUND

[0002] A wireless communications system may include one or multiple network communication devices, such as base stations (BSs) , which may be otherwise known as an eNodeB (eNB) , a next-generation NodeB (gNB) , or other suitable terminology. Each network communication devices, such as a base station may support wireless communications for one or multiple user communication devices, which may be otherwise known as user equipment (UE) , or other suitable terminology. The wireless communications system may support wireless communications with one or multiple user communication devices by utilizing resources of the wireless communication system (e.g., time resources (e.g., symbols, slots, subframes, frames, or the like) or frequency resources (e.g., subcarriers, carriers) . Additionally, the wireless communications system may support wireless communications across various radio access technologies including third generation (3G) radio access technology, fourth generation (4G) radio access technology, fifth generation (5G) radio access technology, among other suitable radio access technologies beyond 5G (e.g., sixth generation (6G) ) .

[0003] In the 4G / 5G non-terrestrial network (NTN) , i.e. Internet of Things (IoT)  / new radio (NR) NTN, the UL synchronization in the time and frequency domain is mandatory for the NTN access. To obtain and maintain the UL synchronization, the UE is required to have the valid global navigation satellite system (GNSS) position and ephemeris information (also common timing advance (TA) of the feeder link for transparent architecture) . For the time domain, before and during the connection to an NTN cell, the UE computes the round trip time (RTT) between the UE and the reference point (RP) based on the GNSS position, the ephemeris, and the common TA parameters, and autonomously pre-compensates the timing advance for the RTT between the UE and the RP. However, the legacy UL synchronization scheme for the 4G / 5G NTN has multiple disadvantages that affect the NTN feasibility or performance.SUMMARY

[0073] The core network 106 may communicate with the packet data network 108 over one or more backhaul links 116 (e.g., via an S1, N2, N2, or another network interface) . The packet data network 108 may include an application server 118. In some implementations, one or more UEs 104 may communicate with the application server 118. A UE 104 may establish a session (e.g., a protocol data unit (PDU) session, or the like) with the core network 106 via a network entity 102. The core network 106 may route traffic (e.g., control information, data, and the like) between the UE 104 and the application server 118 using the established session (e.g., the established PDU session) . The PDU session may be an example of a logical connection between the UE 104 and the core network 106 (e.g., one or more network functions of the core network 106) .

[0074] In the wireless communications system 100A, the network entities 102 and the UEs 104 may use resources of the wireless communications system 100A (e.g., time resources (e.g., symbols, slots, subframes, frames, or the like) or frequency resources (e.g., subcarriers, carriers) ) to perform various operations (e.g., wireless communications) . In some implementations, the network entities 102 and the UEs 104 may support different resource structures. For example, the network entities 102 and the UEs 104 may support different frame structures. In some implementations, such as in 4G, the network entities 102 and the UEs 104 may support a single frame structure. In some other implementations, such as in 5G and among other suitable radio access technologies, the network entities 102 and the UEs 104 may support various frame structures (i.e., multiple frame structures) . The network entities 102 and the UEs 104 may support various frame structures based on one or more numerologies.

[0075] One or more numerologies may be supported in the wireless communications system 100A, and a numerology may include a subcarrier spacing and a cyclic prefix. A first numerology (e.g., μ=0) may be associated with a first subcarrier spacing (e.g., 15 kHz) and a normal cyclic prefix. In some implementations, the first numerology (e.g., μ=0) associated with the first subcarrier spacing (e.g., 15 kHz) may utilize one slot per subframe. A second numerology (e.g., μ=1) may be associated with a second subcarrier spacing (e.g., 30 kHz) and a normal cyclic prefix. A third numerology (e.g., μ=2) may be associated with a third subcarrier spacing (e.g., 60 kHz) and a normal cyclic prefix or an extended cyclic prefix. A fourth numerology (e.g., μ=3) may be associated with a fourth subcarrier spacing (e.g., 120 kHz) and a normal cyclic prefix. A fifth numerology (e.g., μ=4) may be associated with a fifth subcarrier spacing (e.g., 240 kHz) and a normal cyclic prefix.

[0076] A time interval of a resource (e.g., a communication resource) may be organized according to frames (also referred to as radio frames) . Each frame may have a duration, for example, a 10 millisecond (ms) duration. In some implementations, each frame may include multiple subframes. For example, each frame may include 10 subframes, and each subframe may have a duration, for example, a 1 ms duration. In some implementations, each frame may have the same duration. In some implementations, each subframe of a frame may have the same duration.

[0077] Additionally or alternatively, a time interval of a resource (e.g., a communication resource) may be organized according to slots. For example, a subframe may include a number (e.g., quantity) of slots. The number of slots in each subframe may also depend on the one or more numerologies supported in the wireless communications system 100A. For instance, the first, second, third, fourth, and fifth numerologies (i.e., μ=0, μ=1, μ=2, μ=3, μ=4) associated with respective subcarrier spacings of 15 kHz, 30 kHz, 60 kHz, 120 kHz, and 240 kHz may utilize a single slot per subframe, two slots per subframe, four slots per subframe, eight slots per subframe, and 16 slots per subframe, respectively. Each slot may include a number (e.g., quantity) of symbols (e.g., OFDM symbols) . In some implementations, the number (e.g., quantity) of slots for a subframe may depend on a numerology. For a normal cyclic prefix, a slot may include 14 symbols. For an extended cyclic prefix (e.g., applicable for 60 kHz subcarrier spacing) , a slot may include 12 symbols. The relationship between the number of symbols per slot, the number of slots per subframe, and the number of slots per frame for a normal cyclic prefix and an extended cyclic prefix may depend on a numerology. It should be understood that reference to a first numerology (e.g., μ=0) associated with a first subcarrier spacing (e.g., 15 kHz) may be used interchangeably between subframes and slots.

[0078] In the wireless communications system 100A, an electromagnetic (EM) spectrum may be split, based on frequency or wavelength, into various classes, frequency bands, frequency channels, etc. By way of example, the wireless communications system 100A may support one or multiple operating frequency bands, such as frequency range designations FR1 (410 MHz –7.125 GHz) , FR2 (24.25 GHz –52.6 GHz) , FR3 (7.125 GHz –24.25 GHz) , FR4 (52.6 GHz –114.25 GHz) , FR4a or FR4-1 (52.6 GHz –71 GHz) , and FR5 (114.25 GHz –300 GHz) . In some implementations, the network entities 102 and the UEs 104 may perform wireless communications over one or more of the operating frequency bands. In some implementations, FR1 may be used by the network entities 102 and the UEs 104, among other equipment or devices for cellular communications traffic (e.g., control information, data) . In some implementations, FR2 may be used by the network entities 102 and the UEs 104, among other equipment or devices for short-range, high data rate capabilities.

[0079] FR1 may be associated with one or multiple numerologies (e.g., at least three numerologies) . For example, FR1 may be associated with a first numerology (e.g., μ=0) , which includes 15 kHz subcarrier spacing; a second numerology (e.g., μ=1) , which includes 30 kHz subcarrier spacing; and a third numerology (e.g., μ=2) , which includes 60 kHz subcarrier spacing. FR2 may be associated with one or multiple numerologies (e.g., at least 2 numerologies) . For example, FR2 may be associated with a third numerology (e.g., μ=2) , which includes 60 kHz subcarrier spacing; and a fourth numerology (e.g., μ=3) , which includes 120 kHz subcarrier spacing.

[0080] The NTN refers to a network, or segment of networks using radio frequency (RF) resources on board a satellite or a high altitude platform station (HAPS) , providing 4G / 5G access using LTE / NR protocols. 3GPP Rel-17 specifications have provided basic support of NTN features and in Rel-18 and Rel-19, some essential enhancements were specified. It is expected that the NTN will be further enhanced in Rel-20 and will also be supported in future 6G networks with further integration to the terrestrial network (TN) .

[0081] In 4G / 5G NTN (i.e. IoT / NR NTN) , UL synchronization in time and frequency domain is mandatory for NTN access, and to obtain and maintain UL synchronization, the UE is required to have valid GNSS position and ephemeris information (also common TA of the feeder link for transparent architecture) . For the time domain as shown in FIG. 1B, before and during connection to an NTN cell, the UE 104 computes the RTT between the UE 104 and the RP 120 based on the GNSS position, the ephemeris, and the common TA parameters, and autonomously pre-compensate the TA for the RTT between the UE 104 and the RP 120. For the frequency domain, the UE 104 computes the frequency Doppler shift of the service link, and autonomously pre-compensates for it in the uplink transmissions, by considering the UE position and the ephemeris.

[0082] Besides the UL synchronization itself, there are some relevant NTN operations as shown in FIG. 1C, including UE reporting and timer handling based on the result of UL synchronization, and TA or RTT calculation for neighbor cells / satellites (e.g., satellite 102-2) similar to that of the serving cell provided by the satellite 102-1.

[0083] For the TA reporting, the UE 104 may be configured to report timing advance report MAC control element CE (14 bits + 2R) during random access procedures or in the connected mode. In the connected mode, the event-triggered reporting of the timing advance is supported. For NTN, the unit is the slot and for FR1 ATG, the unit is the symbol.

[0084] For the propagation delay difference (PDD) reporting, the UE assistance information consists of the service link propagation delay difference (s) between the serving cell and the neighbour cell (s) . The Value range is -270 ~ 270 ms with the maximum number of 4 in propagationDelayDifference.

[0085] For the Distance-based measurement reporting and CHO, event D1 / D2 can be configured and the UE evaluates the distance conditions based on the UE location and configured reference locations of cells (48 bits) .

[0086] For the user plane timer handling, a user plane timer may be configured with extended value by the gNB based on UE-gNB RTT (i.e., UE pre-compensated / reported TA + Kmac) knowledge, including RLC t-Reassembly and the PDCP discard timer. In addition, a user plane timer may be extended with the configured value plus the UE-gNB RTT (i.e., UE-specific TA + Common TA + Kmac) , including the UL and the DL HARQ RTT timer. Additionally, a user plane timer may be delayed (offsetting the start point) by the UE-gNB RTT (UE-specific TA + Common TA + Kmac) , including the contention resolution timer.

[0087] It is observed that the legacy UL synchronization scheme for 4G / 5G NTN has multiple disadvantages that affect the NTN feasibility or performance. Regarding the UE complexity, the capabilities of GNSS positioning, ephemeris acquiring and time / frequency pre-compensation are mandatory to access NTN cells. With these capability, the UE still guarantees real-time calculation for satellite position, movement and propagation delay. It is to be understood that term “TA” and “propagation delay” may be used interchangeably.

[0088] Regarding the signaling overhead, the size of ephemeris information (ephemerisInfo) of one NTN payload (e.g., satellite or HAPS) is 200 bits (orbital parameters) or 168 bits (e.g., position &velocity vectors) , and thus the number of ephemeris information is limited to 5 (e.g., 1 serving cell and 4 neighbour cells) . Besides, the size of common TA information is 60 bits, making the size of one satellite information approximately 300 bits. TA reporting is necessary to provide the service link RTT information to the gNB. PDD reporting is necessary to provide the service link delay difference information to gNB.

[0089] Regarding the service interruption, the UE is required to have a valid serving cell ephemeris and acquire its update before expiry, or the UE will trigger UL synchronization loss that suspends all UL transmission and flush HARQ buffer until it is obtained. For the normal handover (HO) and CHO without RACH-less HO configuration, the UE may calculate and pre-compensate the TA to the target cell before initiating the RACH. For the RACH-less HO, the UE still calculates and pre-compensates the TA to the target cell for UL transmission. Meanwhile, UE GNSS positioning takes time up to tens of seconds, and for 4G NTN (IoT NTN) , the GNSS positioning will interrupt normal transmission and reception.

[0090] Regarding the security risk, the ephemeris information, either in the form of orbital parameters or position &velocity vectors, reveals the current and future positions of the NTN payload (satellite or HAPS) , making it vulnerable to planned security attacks. In particular for the regenerative architecture wherein the gNB is on the NTN payload, these information exposes the gNB’s current and future positions, which is a significant safety risk considered for the TN.

[0091] Regarding the disunity of value units and ranges, the units of slot (for satellites) and symbol (ATG or HAPS) are used frequently, while there are also millisecond (ms) and Tc.

[0092] Regarding the duplicated calculations, the calculation of distance between the UE and reference location duplicates with the calculation of service link propagation delay, with the same purpose of evaluating how far the UE is from the NTN payload.

[0093] Further, there are some issues of designing unified UL synchronization scheme for 6G integrated NTN and TN. For legacy 4G / 5G TN, the UL frame number for the transmission from the UE may start (NTA+NTA, offset) ×Tc before the start of the corresponding DL frame at the UE. A UE can be provided a value NTA, offset of a timing advance offset for a serving cell by n-TimingAdvanceOffset for the serving cell. There are two possible ways for the gNB to provide the TA compensation (i.e. adjustment of NTA) to the UE.

[0094] In the first way, in the initial TA during random access (RA) procedure, the gNB derives the TA by measuring the received random access preamble and sends the value to UE via the timing advance command (TAC) field in MAC random access response (RAR) .

[0095] In the second way, in the TA refinement in RRC_CONNECTED, the gNB derives the TA by measuring the UL transmission and refines the TA via the TAC MAC CE.

[0096] To accommodate the propagation delay in NTNs, several timing relationships are enhanced by a common TA and two offsets Koffset and Kmac, on the basis of TN scheme. Common TA is a configured timing offset that is equal to the RTT between the RP and the NTN payload. (Unit: 4.072 × 10-3 μs, i.e. 8 × Tc) .

[0097] Koffset is a configured scheduling offset that to be larger or equal to the sum of the service link RTT and the common TA (i.e., maximum UE pre-compensated TA in the cell) , which is used to allow the UE sufficient processing time between a DL reception and an UL transmission. The unit is slot.

[0098] Kmac is a configured offset that is approximately equal to the RTT between the RP and the gNB, which is used to delay the application of a downlink configuration indicated by a MAC CE command on PDSCH, and in estimation of UE-gNB RTT (Unit: slot) .

[0099] Based on the previous analysis, a new scheme is considered for the NTN UL synchronization and corresponding operations in 6G. The following benefits are expected. Regarding the UE complexity reduction, the capabilities of positioning and ephemeris acquiring are no longer mandatory to access NTN cells. The time / frequency pre-compensation at the UE side is minimized and simplified, for example, based on common indication and minor adjustment, reduce real-time calculation.

[0100] Regarding the signaling overhead reduction, the ephemeris information of NTN payload (satellite or HAPS) is no longer mandatory for UL synchronization. The TA reporting and PDD reporting is simplified or even no longer needed.

[0101] Regarding the service interruption reduction, the UE is no longer required to have a valid serving cell ephemeris and acquire its update before expiry. For the normal HO and CHO with or without RACH-less HO configuration, the UE pre-compensation to the target cell is also minimized and simplified. UE positioning is not required and thus will not interrupt normal transmission and reception.

[0102] Regarding the security risk reduction, the broadcasting of the ephemeris information revealing the current and future positions of the NTN payload (gNB or TRP) is no longer mandatory.

[0103] Regarding the unified expression for different value units and ranges, the units of slot (for satellites) and symbol (ATG or HAPS) are used frequently, while there are also ms and Tc.

[0104] Regarding the calculation reduction, the UE is relieved from the calculation of NTN payload position, the propagation delay and the distance between the UE and reference location. Moreover, the new scheme can be directly used for measurement report triggering and CHO events.

[0105] In principle, the scheme shall be independent to the ephemeris information and UE position as much as possible, and shall be applicable to all NTN operations relevant to the UL synchronization.

[0106] To achieve time / frequency UL synchronization in the new scheme, some requirements / issues of are considered for the time domain. For example, propagation delay value range and granularity, and a unified scheme applicable to any type of NTN and TN (no “add-on” designs as for 4G / 5G NTN) .

[0107] Regarding the propagation delay value range and granularity, the maximum RTT for NTN is 541.46ms (GEO satellite, transparent payload) , and the maximum differential delay within a cell is 10.3ms. It means that the maximum single trip delay range is 260.43~270.73ms. In addition, the timing advance report MAC CE value range is 0~16384 slots (min 0~1024ms &max 0~16384ms, step 0.0625~1ms) for NTN and 16384 symbols (min 0~73.14ms &max 0~1170.29ms, step 0.0045~0.0714ms) for FR1 ATG (but only value 1~56 is used for FR1 ATG in Rel-18) ; the Differential Koffset MAC CE value range is 0~64 slots (min 0~4ms &max 0~64ms, step 0.0625~1ms) .

[0108] The common TA value range is 0~66485757 with unit of 8 × Tc (0~270.73ms, step 4.072 × 10-3 μs) . The Koffset value range is 1~1024 slots (min 0~64ms &max 0~1024ms, step 0.0625~1ms) . The Kmac value range is 1~512 slots (min 0~32ms &max 0~512ms, step 0.0625~1ms) . The propagation delay difference (PDD) report value range is -270~270ms, step 1ms.

[0109] It is observed that, the TA to be pre-compensated can be divided into two parts, 2 × common part ranging from wherein a coarser granularity (step) of ms can be sufficient, and individual part ranging from 0~10.3ms wherein finer granularity (step) of μ0ms to 260.43ms s or even ns (Tc) is recommended, as shown in FIG. 1D. Besides, the granularity (step) of the individual part can be relevant to the TA adjustment scheme if introduced.

[0110] The common part can include at least the minimum or average service link delay (half of minimum / average UE specific TA) and optionally part of the feeder link delay (half of legacy common TA) . It is to be understood that the term “common part” and “reference part” may be used interchangeably.

[0111] The individual part can either be adjusted by the network with flexible value ranges and granularities aligned with different platforms (altitudes) , or be adjusted by UE leveraging information the UE can obtain.

[0112] The 6G aims at a harmonized 6G Radio design for TN and NTN, including their integration. It means that the NTN scenarios are considered at the very beginning of 6G design together with TN, including the UL synchronization scheme covering all the possible propagation delays from 0ms to 541.46ms (or even larger e.g., for highly elliptical orbit, HEO) .

[0113] For 4G / 5G NTN introduced based on 4G / 5G TN, the UL synchronization scheme keeps the TN part as baselines (NTA+NTA, offset) and adds NTN-specific part  with separate ways to handle these two parts: TN part from network indication in RAR (NTA) and SIB1 (NTA, offset) , and NTN part from network indication in SIB31 / SIB19 and UE calculation

[0114] For a unified scheme, the common part as discussed in propagation delay value range and granularity (e.g. TTA, ref with coarser granularity ms or NTA, ref×Tcwith finer granularity Tc) includes half of the common TA and half of the minimum / average UE-specific TA. This part is relatively static, and the value range extends with altitude of deployment (i.e. linear, 1ms per 300km) . This part can be implemented by introducing a new broadcast parameter or by extending the function of NTA, offset.

[0115] For a unified scheme, if the individual part as discussed in propagation delay value range and granularity 1 is adjusted by the network or the UE, the value range of adjustment extends with altitude of deployment (non-linear, 10.3 ms for GEO, 3.12ms for 600km LEO and 3.16ms for 1200km LEO) . This part can be implemented by introducing a new dedicated parameter or by extending the function of NTA.

[0116] Similarly, the frequency domain UL synchronization requires a unified scheme applicable to any type of NTN and TN, which can replace the legacy UE compensation relying on UE calculation based on its velocity and satellite velocity from ephemeris.

[0117] To achieve time / frequency UL synchronization in the new scheme, some requirements / issues are considered. Regarding the TA reporting, for the common part provided by the network, there is no need for the UE to report this part. For the individual part adjusted by the network, the UE reporting is not needed either. For the individual part adjusted by the UE, the reporting may be needed to allow the network have the accurate knowledge of the RTT for the UL scheduling.

[0118] Regarding the PDD reporting, without neighbour satellite ephemeris and access, the PDD calculation at the UE is not realistic. If the PDD information is still needed at the serving gNB for synchronization signal block (SSB) measurement timing configuration (SMTC) , the serving gNB may obtain information of the common part of a neighbour gNB via inter-gNB interfaces to derive most of the PDD (e.g., configuring SMTC that covers the maximum PDD) . If finer accuracy is needed, assistance information from the UE or the location management function (LMF) can be used.

[0119] Regarding the distance-based measurement reporting and the CHO, the TA-based measurement reporting and the CHO can be introduced to replace the legacy distance-based events, reusing the TA information and avoiding duplicated calculation. For the candidate cell side condition and evaluation, either the RRM metric is used or similar TA-based metric is used and can be evaluated by the UE based on the PDD derived.

[0120] Regarding the user plane timer handling, the serving gNB has the knowledge of common part and Kmac. For the individual part adjusted by network, the gNB knows full UE-gNB RTT. For the individual part adjusted by the UE, the reporting may be to allow the network have the accurate knowledge of the RTT for the UL scheduling.

[0121] In addition, the UE has the knowledge of common part and individual part. The only additional information needed from network is Kmac, which can be provided to UE using format aligned with the common part or individual part.

[0122] In view of the above discussions, some embodiments of the present disclosure provide a solution for UL synchronization. In one aspect of the solution of the present disclosure, a UE obtains at least one of timing advance or frequency shift of the UE for UL synchronization. Based on the at least one of the timing advance and the frequency shift, the UE performs the UL synchronization to a BS.

[0123] In this way, a unified scheme for UL synchronization and corresponding operations in 6G integrated NTN and TN is proposed. Thus, the performance of the communications is improved. Principles and implementations of embodiments of the present disclosure will be described in detail below with reference to FIGS. 2-7.

[0124] FIG. 2 illustrates an example signaling chart that supports the UL synchronization in accordance with aspects of the present disclosure. It would be appreciated that although the process 200 is applied in the communication environment 100A of FIG. 1A, this process may be likewise applied to other communication scenarios with similar issues.

[0125] In the process 200, the BS 202 determines 210 at least one common part of at least one of timing advance or frequency shift of at least one UE for UL synchronization. The at least one UE includes the UE 201. In other words, the BS 202 indicates the UE 201 with the common part of the timing advance to be compensated by the UE 201 for the UL synchronization in the time domain and the frequency domain. The BS 202 provides a serving cell for the UE 201.

[0126] In addition, the timing advance to be pre-compensated by the UE 201 for the UL synchronization in 6G NTN and TN is divided into the common part and the individual part, e.g., TTA=TTA, ref+TTA, indv  (1)

[0127] TTA is the timing advance TTA, TTA, ref is the common part of the timing advance, and TTA, indv is the individual part of the timing advance.

[0128] The at least one common part associated with multiple beams is indicated by the BS 202, and the UE 201 applies one of the at least one common part based on the beam it selects.

[0129] A common part of the at least one common part comprises a minimum value, average value or maximum value of the at least one of the timing advance or the frequency shift to be compensated by the at least one UE. For example, the common part may be a minimum, maximum or average / middle value in the associated cell, beam or other metric described below.

[0130] Additionally, the timing advance may be based at least on a service link between the UE and the BS.

[0131] In some embodiments, the common part of the timing advance may indicate a time duration, a number used to multiplex a time unit, a scaling factor used to multiplex a unit of predefined delay, or any combination of two or more of above mentioned items.

[0132] In the first example, the at least one common part may be represented as at least one time duration TTA, ref with the unit of ms, μs or a pre-defined time duration, e.g., the maximum or minimum value range that can be adjusted by a network signalling, including a TAC in the RAR and TAC MAC CE. For example, the maximum RAR TAC range may be 2ms for 15kHz subcarrier spacing (SCS) , and the maximum TAC MAC CE range may be 0.017ms for 15kHz SCS.

[0133] In the second example, the at least one common part may be represented as at least one number NTA, ref with the unit of one or multiple times of the basic time unit of the network, for example, Tc or 4.072 × 10^ (-3) μs (8 × Tc) .

[0134] In the third example, the at least one common part may be represented as at least one scaling factor RTA, ref that is used to multiplex a pre-defined time duration, e.g., maximum propagation delay in an TN cell.

[0135] In general, the common part of the timing advance may be represented as the above three forms. For example, TTA, ref=NTA, ref×TC=RTA, ref×TTAmax, TN   (2)

[0136] In essence, the timing advance may be TTA, ref, NTA, ref×TC, or RTA, ref×TTAmax, TN. TTAmax, TN is the pre-defined time duration.

[0137] In addition, the BS 202 may indicate at least one common part of the timing advance to the UE 201 via broadcast in system information or a dedicated signaling including an RRC message or MAC CE for the serving cell and / or a neighbor cell.

[0138] In some embodiments, the common part of the timing advance may comprise a variation of the timing advance, a variation rate of the timing advance, a validity duration of the timing advance, update time of the timing advance, or any combination of two or more of above mentioned items.

[0139] The variation of the timing advance may be a timetable. The update time of the timing advance may be the next N update time. The variation, variation rate or update time of the common part may be optionally indicated to reduce frequent acquisition by the UE 201. For example, the update of common part does not trigger an SI update. Whereas, if the SI update is triggered, the SI update procedure can also be used to inform UE of updating. The validity duration of the common part of the timing advance may be optionally indicated to ensure the periodic update.

[0140] In some embodiments, the common part of the timing advance may be associated with at least one RAN node, at least one cell, at least one beam, at least one reference point, at least one metric, at least one anchor UE, at least one variation of the timing advance, at least one variation rate of the timing advance, at least one validity duration of the timing advance, at least one update time of the timing advance, or any combination of two or more of above mentioned items.

[0141] The at least one RAN node may be a TRP, a RF unit, a BS on the ground, a HAPS or a satellite. In an example, all UEs accessing the same RAN node may at least pre-compensates the same common / reference part.

[0142] The at least one cell includes the serving cell and / or a neighbor / candidate cell for Layer 3 (L3) handover or LTM cell switch. All UEs in the same cell at least pre-compensates the same common / reference part. If the at least one common part is associated with a neighbor cell, it can be indicated in the candidate configuration for at least one candidate cell, or can be provide in LTM cell switch MAC CE command for LTM cell switch.

[0143] The at least one beam may be identified by at least one SSB index or at least one satellite beam ID. In an example, the UE 201 determines which common part is to be pre-compensated by the beam it is using. The relation between a beam and a satellite beam in 6G may be clarified or unified.

[0144] If the common part of the timing advance is associated with at least one reference point or at least one location, the UE 201 with position information determines which common part is to be pre-compensated by its closest reference point / location.

[0145] The at least one metric may include, for example, a coverage enhancement level, a 2-step or 4-step random access (RA) procedure, or a Msg3 repetition. The at least one metric may also be referred to as at least one feature. The UE 201 determines which common part is to be pre-compensated by a specific feature or metric it applies. For instance, the UE 201 may determine the common part based on the coverage enhancement level at which it operates, whether the condition for using a 2-step or 4-step RA is fulfilled, or whether the condition for using Msg3 repetition is fulfilled.

[0146] One of the at least one anchor UE is the relay UE and the receiving UE is a child remote UE. In an example, the UE 201 may determine which common part is to be pre-compensated by the detection of an anchor UE, e.g., via sensing, SL discovery / broadcasting, SL relay discovery / broadcasting or a SL relay dedicated signaling on a PC5 link.

[0147] Further, the at least one common part is associated to a SL relay UE, the common part may be forwarded to the receiving UE via the SL relay discovery / broadcasting or a SL relay dedicated signaling on the PC5 link.

[0148] Similarly, the Doppler shift to be pre-compensated by the UE 201 for the UL synchronization in 6G NTN / TN may also be divided into the common part indicated by the BS 202 and the individual part adjusted by the BS 202 or the UE 201, e.g., FTA=FShift, ref+FShift, indv     (3)

[0149] FTA is the frequency shift, FShift, ref is the common part of the frequency shift, and FShift, indv is the individual part of the frequency shift.

[0150] In some embodiments, the common part of the frequency shift may indicate a frequency offset, a Doppler shift, or a scaling factor used to multiplex a unit of pre-defined offset.

[0151] For example, the common part of the frequency shift is indicated to the UE 201 as a frequency offset FShift, ref with unit of Hz, or as a Doppler shift fShift, ref with unit of ppm, or as a scaling factor RShift, ref with unit of pre-defined offset FShift, TN (e.g., typical maximum frequency offset or Doppler shift in TN) . The common part of the frequency shift may be represented as: FShift, ref= fShift, ref×Bandwidth=RShift, ref×FShift, TN= RShift, ref×fShift, TN×Bandwidth      (4)

[0152] In addition, the pre-defined offset may be indicated to the UE 201 via broadcast in the system information or the dedicated signaling including the RRC or the MAC CE for the serving cell and / or the neighbor cell.

[0153] Alternatively or additionally, the common part of the frequency shift may comprise a variation of the frequency shift, a variation rate of the frequency shift, a validity duration of the frequency shift, at least one update time of the frequency shift, or any combination of two or more of above mentioned items.

[0154] The variation of common part of the frequency shift (e.g., timetable) , or variation rate, or the next N update time may be optionally indicated to reduce frequent acquisition by the UE 201. For example, the update of common part does not trigger an SI update. Whereas, if the SI update is triggered, the SI update procedure can also be used to inform UE of updating. Validity duration of the common part of the frequency shift may be optionally indicated to ensure the periodic update.

[0155] In some embodiments, the common part of the frequency shift may be associated with at least one RAN node, at least one cell, at least one beam, at least one reference velocity, at least one metric, at least one anchor UE, at least one variation of the frequency shift, at least one variation rate of the frequency shift, at least one validity duration of the frequency shift, at least one update time of the frequency shift, or any combination of two or more of above mentioned items.

[0156] Alternatively or additionally, the common part may be shared across multiple cells, e.g., with payloads on the same or similar altitude or orbit. The information of the common part can be exchanged between gNBs. The information exchange between gNBs may be used for indicating or updating the common part in mobility cases including handover, CHO and LTM cell switch.

[0157] In some embodiments, the BS 201 may be a first BS, and the first BS 201 may further receive the common part from a second BS. Then the BS 201 may determine a maximum PDD based on the common part. The BS 201 may also configure neighbour cell measurement window or gap for the UE 201 based on the maximum PDD.

[0158] In some alternative embodiments, the BS 201 may be a first BS, and the BS 201 may further transmit the common part to a second BS.

[0159] Continue to refer to FIG. 2, the BS 202 transmits 215 the at least one common part 220 to the at least one UE including the UE 201.

[0160] On the other side of the communication, the UE 201 obtains 225 at least one of timing advance or frequency shift of the UE for UL synchronization. The at least one of the timing advance and the frequency shift comprises at least one common part indicated by the BS 202 and at least one individual part adjusted by the BS or the UE 201. An individual part of the at least one individual part is a deviation compared to the common part.

[0161] In some embodiments, the common part of the timing advance may be integrated into a first timing advance offset. The first timing advance offset refers to the TTA, offset mentioned above, e.g., the n-TimingAdvanceOffset in 3GPP TS38.331.

[0162] In some alternative embodiments, the common part of the timing advance and the first timing advance offset may be configured separately. In some alternative embodiments, the first timing advance offset may be integrated into the common part of the timing advance.

[0163] In some alternative embodiments, the common part of the timing advance may replace a first common timing advance of a feeder link. The first common timing advance refers to the common TA of a feeder link used in 4G / 5G, e.g.,

[0164] Alternatively or additionally, the individual part of the timing advance may replace a first timing advance. The first timing advance refers to NTA×TC mentioned above. Additionally, the individual part of the timing advance may be integrated into a count of the first timing advance.

[0165] In other words, the common part of the timing advance may be replacement of, independent to, or integrated into the legacy part (e.g., NTA, offset) of 5G NR. The individual part of the timing advance may be replacement of, independent to, or integrated into the legacy part (e.g., NTA) of 5G NR, which may be provided and updated via the TAC in the RAR and the MAC CE.

[0166] In the first example, the timing advance TTA may be represented as: TTA=TTA, ref+TTA, indv    (5)

[0167] where TTA, ref is the common part of the timing advance, and TTA, indv is the individual part of the timing advance. Legacy 4G / 5G TTA, offset=NTA, offset×TC may be integrated into TTA, ref, and TTA, indv replaces legacy 4G / 5G NTA×TC.

[0168] In the second example, the timing advance TTA may be represented as: TTA=TTA, ref+NTA, offset×TC+TTA, indv   (6)

[0169] where legacy 4G / 5G TTA, offset=NTA, offset×TC is configured separately, and TTA, indv replaces legacy 4G / 5G NTA×TC.

[0170] In the third example, the timing advance TTA may be represented as: TTA=NTA, offset×TC+TTA, indv   (7)

[0171] wherein NTA, ref is integrated into legacy 4G / 5G NTA, offset functionality with an additional values and range, and TTA, indv replaces legacy 4G / 5G NTA×TC.

[0172] In the fourth example, the timing advance TTA may be represented as: TTA=TTA, ref+NTA×TC,     (8)

[0173] wherein NTA, indv is integrated into legacy 4G / 5G NTA functionality with a flexible granularity and an extended value range.

[0174] In the fifth example, the timing advance TTA may be represented as: TTA=TTA, ref+ (NTA+NTA, offset) ×TC     (9)

[0175] wherein legacy 4G / 5G TTA, offset=NTA, offset×TC is configured separately, and NTA, indv is integrated into legacy 4G / 5G NTA functionality with a flexible granularity and an extended value range.

[0176] In the sixth example, the timing advance TTA may be represented as: TTA= (NTA+NTA, offset) ×TC     (10)

[0177] wherein NTA, ref is integrated into legacy 4G / 5G NTA, offset functionality with additional values and ranges, and NTA, indv is integrated into legacy 4G / 5G NTA functionality with a flexible granularity and an extended value range.

[0178] In some embodiments, if the individual part of the timing advance is indicated by the BS 202, the individual part of the timing advance may indicate a time duration, a number used to multiplex a time unit, a scaling factor used to multiplex a unit of predefined delay, or any combination of two or more of above mentioned items.

[0179] In the first example, the at least one individual part may be represented as at least one time duration TTA, indv with unit of ms, μs or a pre-defined time duration., the maximum or minimum value granularity that can be adjusted by a network signaling.

[0180] In the second example, the at least one individual part may be represented as at least one number NTA, indv with unit of one or multiple times of the basic time unit of the network, for example, Tc or 4.072 × 10^ (-3) μs (8 × Tc) .

[0181] In the third example, the at least one individual part may be represented as at least one scaling factor RTA, indv that is used to multiplex a pre-defined time duration, e.g., the maximum or minimum value range that can be adjusted by the network signalling in an TN cell. The at least one scaling factor RTA, indv may be provided with the unit of a maximum TAC value provided in RAR or TAC MAC CE in legacy designed for TN.

[0182] In addition, if the individual part of the timing advance is adjusted by the BS 201, the individual part of the timing advance may comprise a variation duration of the timing advance, update time of the timing advance, or a combination of above two items. The validity duration of individual part may be optionally indicated to ensure periodic update.

[0183] Additionally, if the individual part of the frequency shift is adjusted by the BS 202, the individual part of the frequency shift may comprise a validity duration of the frequency shift, update time of the frequency shift, or a combination of above two items.

[0184] Alternatively or additionally, the BS 202 may further determine the individual part of the at least one of the timing advance or the frequency shift for the UE 201 comprised in the at least one UE. The individual part is a deviation compared to the common part. Then the BS 202 may transmit, to the UE 201, the individual part of the at least one of the timing advance or the frequency shift.

[0185] In some embodiments, if the individual part of the timing advance is adjusted by the UE 201, in order to obtain the at least one of timing advance or frequency shift for the UL synchronization, the UE 201 may determine the individual part of the timing advance. The UE 201 may leverage other information except location that can be obtained.

[0186] The individual part of the timing advance may comprise a first value randomly selected between a first value and a maximum delay difference within a cell. For example, the UE 201 may perform random selection between 0 and the maximum delay difference within a cell (i.e. maximum individual part, indicated by the BS 202) , which may be indicated by the BS 202 or can be a pre-defined value. The network capability for handling the possible error from random selection is needed.

[0187] The individual part of the timing advance may comprise an offset associated with a beam selected by the UE 201. For example, the UE 201 may apply a beam-specific offset based on the beam selected, which may be indicated by the BS 202 or may be a pre-defined value.

[0188] The individual part of the timing advance may comprise an offset associated with a metric whose condition the UE 201 fulfills. For example, the UE 201 may apply a feature-specific offset based on the feature condition fulfillment, which may be indicated by the BS 202 or may be a pre-defined value. The feature condition may include coverage enhancement level, 2 / 4-step RA and Msg3 repetition.

[0189] The individual part of the timing advance may comprise a second value obtained from a second UE. For example, the UE 201 may apply a value obtained from another UE (e.g., an anchor UE) via the sensing, the SL discovery / broadcasting or the SL relay discovery / broadcasting.

[0190] The individual part of the timing advance may comprise a third value predicted by an artificial intelligence (AI) mode based on previous values of the timing advance.

[0191] In some embodiments, if the individual part of the frequency shift is adjusted by the UE 201, in order to obtain the at least one of timing advance or frequency shift for the UL synchronization, the UE 201 may determine the individual part of the frequency shift. The individual part of the frequency shift may comprise a fourth value randomly selected between a first value and a maximum delay difference within a cell. For example, the UE 201 may perform random selection between 0 and the maximum frequency offset or Doppler shift within a cell (i.e. maximum individual part, indicated by the BS 202) . The network capability for handling the possible error from random selection is needed.

[0192] The individual part of the frequency shift may comprise an offset associated with a beam selected by the UE 201. For example, the UE 201 may apply a beam-specific offset based on the beam selected, which may be indicated by the BS 202 or may be a pre-defined value.

[0193] The individual part of the frequency shift may comprise an offset associated with a metric whose condition the UE 201 fulfills. For example, the UE 201 may apply a feature-specific offset based on the feature condition fulfillment, which may be indicated by the BS 202 or may be a pre-defined value. The feature condition may include coverage enhancement level, 2 / 4-step RA and Msg3 repetition.

[0194] The individual part of the frequency shift may comprise a fifth value obtained from a second UE. For example, the UE 201 may apply a value obtained from another UE (e.g., an anchor UE) via the sensing, the SL discovery / broadcasting or the SL relay discovery / broadcasting.

[0195] The individual part of the frequency shift may comprise a sixth value predicted by an AI mode based on previous values of the frequency shift.

[0196] The individual part of the frequency shift may comprise a seventh value determined based on the common part of the timing advance and a variation of the common part of the timing advance indicated by the BS 202.

[0197] The individual part of the frequency shift may comprise an eighth value determined based on the individual part of the timing advance and the variation of the individual part of the timing advance. For example, the UE 201 may apply a value derived from the individual part of timing advance indicated by the BS 202 or derived by the UE 201, and its variation.

[0198] For a complete knowledge of the RTT and the frequency offset for the UL scheduling, the individual part adjusted by the UE 201 may be provided to network.

[0199] The UE 201 may be configured to report its adjusted individual part of TA or frequency shift to the BS 202, e.g., to assist network in UL time scheduling, frequency or BWP adjustment.

[0200] In some embodiments, the UE 201 may further transmit, to the BS 202, a report of the individual part of the at least one of the timing advance or the frequency shift. Correspondingly, the BS 202 may receive, from the UE 201, the report of the individual part of the at least one of the timing advance or the frequency shift.

[0201] The reporting may be indication-triggered and variation-triggered. In an example, the UE 201 may transmit the report of the individual part upon an explicit indication from the BS 202. In another example, the UE 201 may transmit the report of the individual part upon an explicit indication from the BS 202and if the UE 201 has not reported in the same cell. In yet another example, the UE 201 may transmit the report of the individual part upon the variation compared to previous report is larger than a threshold, and if the UE 201 has reported in the same cell.

[0202] Continue to refer to FIG. 2, the UE 201 performs 230 the UL synchronization to the BS 202 based on the at least one of the timing advance and the frequency shift.

[0203] In some embodiments, after receiving the at least one common part of the timing advance, and the UE 201 may determine to apply one of the at least one common part of the timing advance in a range for TA pre-compensation.

[0204] In the first example, the UE 201 may perform the UL synchronization by applying the common part of the timing advance associated with a RAN node to which the UE is connecting.

[0205] In the second example, the UE 201 may perform the UL synchronization by applying the common part of the timing advance associated with a cell to which the UE is connecting or on which the UE 201 is camping.

[0206] In the third example, the UE 201 may perform the UL synchronization by applying the common part of the timing advance associated with a beam (or an SSB index or a satellite beam ID) selected by the UE 201.

[0207] In the fourth example, the UE 201 may perform the UL synchronization by applying the common part of the timing advance associated with a closest reference point. The UE 201may obtain its position information or distance information e.g., by ranging or sensing services.

[0208] In the fifth example, the UE 201 may perform the UL synchronization by applying the common part of the timing advance associated with a metric whose condition the UE 201 fulfills, e.g., the coverage enhancement level, the 2-step / 4-stpe RA, the Msg3 repetition.

[0209] In the sixth example, the UE 201 may perform the UL synchronization by applying the common part of the timing advance associated with an anchor UE that is detectable by the UE 201, e.g., via the sensing, the SL discovery / broadcasting or the SL relay discovery / broadcasting.

[0210] In some embodiments, in order to perform the UL synchronization, the UE 201 may compensate the timing advance including the time duration multiplexing one or two times. For example, the UE 201 may apply the common part or the individual part of the timing advance for the TA pre-compensation as compensate the TA for UL synchronization including the indicated time duration TTA, ref (when indicating round trip propagation delay) or two times of the indicated time duration TTA, ref (when indicating single trip propagation delay) .

[0211] In some alternative embodiments, in order to perform the UL synchronization, the UE 201 may compensate the timing advance including the number multiplexing one or more times of a time unit. For example, the UE 201 may apply the common part or the individual part of the timing advance for the TA pre-compensation as compensate the TA for the UL synchronization including the indicated number NTA, ref multiplexing one or multiple times of the basic time unit of the network (e.g., Tc) , or two times of the indicated number NTA, ref multiplexing one or multiple times of the basic time unit of the network (e.g., Tc) .

[0212] In some alternative embodiments, in order to perform the UL synchronization, the UE 201 may compensate the timing advance including a scaling factor multiplexing one or two times of a unit of predefined delay. In an example, the UE 201 may apply the common part or the individual part of the timing advance for the TA pre-compensation as compensate the TA for UL synchronization including the indicated scaling factor RTA, ref multiplexing a pre-defined time duration, or two times of the indicated scaling factor RTA, ref multiplexing a pre-defined time duration.

[0213] Additionally, in order to perform the UL synchronization, the UE 201 may compensate the common part of the timing advance including a time duration derived from the indicated TTA, ref, NTA, ref, or RTA, ref and its variation and / or variation rate.

[0214] In addition, the UE may acquire at least one common part and / or at least one individual part of the timing advance for TA pre-compensation before or upon expiry of the at least one validity duration.

[0215] In some embodiments, after receiving the at least one common part of the frequency shift, the UE 201 may determine to apply one of the at least one common part of the frequency shift in a range for frequency domain pre-compensation.

[0216] In the first example, in order to perform the UL synchronization, the UE 201 may apply the common part of the frequency shift associated with a RAN node to which the UE 201 is connecting.

[0217] In the second example, in order to perform the UL synchronization, the UE 201 may apply the common part of the frequency shift associated with a cell to which the UE 201 is connecting or on which the UE 201 is camping.

[0218] In the third example, in order to perform the UL synchronization, the UE 201 may apply the common part of the frequency shift associated with a beam (or an SSB index or a satellite beam ID) selected by the UE 201.

[0219] In the fourth example, in order to perform the UL synchronization, the UE 201 may apply the common part of the frequency shift associated with a closest reference velocity. If the UE 201 may obtain its velocity information, e.g., by equipped velometer or ranging or sensing services.

[0220] In the fifth example, in order to perform the UL synchronization, the UE 201 may apply the common part of the frequency shift associated with a metric whose condition the UE 201 fulfills, e.g., the coverage enhancement level, the 2-step / 4-stpe RA, the Msg3 repetition.

[0221] In the sixth example, in order to perform the UL synchronization, the UE 201 may apply the common part of the frequency shift associated with an anchor UE that is detectable by the UE 201, e.g., via the sensing, the SL discovery / broadcasting or the SL relay discovery / broadcasting.

[0222] In some embodiments, in order to perform the UL synchronization, the UE 201 may compensate the frequency shift including the frequency offset. For example, the UE 201 may apply the common part or the individual part of the frequency shift for the frequency domain pre-compensation as compensate the frequency for UL synchronization including the indicated frequency offset FShift, ref.

[0223] In some alternative embodiments, in order to perform the UL synchronization, the UE 201 may compensate the frequency shift including the Doppler shift multiplexing a bandwidth. For example, the UE 201 may apply the common part or the individual part of the frequency shift for the frequency domain pre-compensation as compensate the frequency for the UL synchronization including the indicated Doppler shift fShift, ref multiplexing bandwidth.

[0224] In some alternative embodiments, in order to perform the UL synchronization, the UE 201 may compensate the frequency shift including a scaling factor multiplexing a unit of pre-defined offset. For example, the UE 201 may apply the common part or the individual part of the frequency shift for the frequency domain pre-compensation as compensate the frequency for the UL synchronization including the indicated scaling factor RShift, indv multiplexing a pre-defined offset.

[0225] Additionally, in order to perform the UL synchronization, the UE 201 may compensate the common part of the frequency including a frequency offset derived from the indicated FShift, ref, fShift, ref, or RShift, ref and its variation and / or variation rate.

[0226] In addition, the UE may acquire at least one common part and / or at least one individual part of the frequency shift for TA pre-compensation before or upon expiry of the at least one validity duration.

[0227] With the unified scheme for time domain UL synchronization in 6G NTN and TN, the UE timer handling regarding UE-gNB RTT is proposed. The UE 201 handles at least one UP timer using the common part and / or the individual part of the timing advance for TA pre-compensation.

[0228] In some embodiments, in order to perform the UL synchronization, the UE 201 may apply an RTT comprising the common part of the timing advance and the individual part of the timing advance for extending or offsetting a time window. For example, the UE 201 may derive the RTT as the common part plus the individual part adjusted and applies the derived RTT for time window extension and offsetting.

[0229] In some alternative embodiments, in order to perform the UL synchronization, the UE 201 may extend a time window with the common part of the timing advance and a maximum value of the individual part of the timing advance indicated by the BS 202.

[0230] In some alternative embodiments, in order to perform the UL synchronization, the UE 201 may offset a time window with the common part of the timing advance.

[0231] TA-based, latency-based, or delay-based events may be introduced for measurement report triggering and the CHO. In some embodiments, the UE 201 may further perform at least one of a transmission of a measurement report or a CHO based on determining that the timing advance is greater than a first threshold.

[0232] In some embodiments, the UE 201 may perform at least one of a transmission of a measurement report or a CHO based on determining that the individual part of the timing advance is greater than a second threshold.

[0233] In some embodiments, the UE 201 may perform at least one of a transmission of a measurement report or a CHO based on determining that the propagation delay of the UE 201 to a serving cell is greater than a third threshold. For instance, the Event L1 may be the compensated TA of the UE 201, the individual part of compensated TA for the UE 201, or the propagation delay for the UE 201 to the serving cell is above corresponding thresholds.

[0234] In some embodiments, the UE 201 may perform at least one of a transmission of a measurement report or a CHO based on determining that propagation delay of the UE 201 to a candidate cell is less than a fourth threshold. For instance, the Event L2 may be the propagation delay of the UE 201 to the candidate cell is below the second threshold. This propagation delay can be derived by the UE adjustment for the SMTC.

[0235] It is to be understood that the Event L1, L2 may be combined with existing events, e.g., Event A3, A4, andA5.

[0236] Additionally, the BS 202 may transmit, to the at least one UE including the UE 201, a configuration for triggering at least one of a transmission of a measurement report or a CHO. The configuration may indicates that at least one of a transmission of a measurement report or a CHO may to be triggered based on determining that the timing advance is greater than a first threshold, determining that the individual part of the timing advance is greater than a second threshold, determining that propagation delay of a UE to a serving cell is greater than a third threshold, determining that propagation delay of a UE to a candidate cell is less than a fourth threshold, or any combination of two or more of above mentioned items.

[0237] In general, a unified scheme for UL synchronization and corresponding operations in 6G integrated NTN and TN are design. The proposed UL synchronization scheme may be used for both TN and NTN covering altitudes from ground to satellite orbits, which divides the timing advance and / or frequency shift to be compensated by the UE into the common part and the individual part.

[0238] The common part is the minimum, average or maximum timing advance or frequency shift to be compensated by UEs using the same RAN node, cell, beam or anchor UE, or UEs fulfills the same condition of feature metric. The individual part is the deviation compared to the common part dedicated for each UE, and can be adjusted by network indication or the UE itself. The corresponding operations include individual part reporting, inter-BS exchange, TA-based mobility and UP timer handling for RTT.

[0239] With the process 200, the scheme is relieved from ephemeris information and the UE position to reduce the UE complexity, the signaling overhead and the security risk of exposing BS position, and the service interruption and calculation load relevant to ephemeris and UE position can also be decreased.
