Airborne GPS guidance system for defeating multiple jammers

A missile guidance system designed to operate on GPS signals in an anti-jamming environment. The inventive system includes first, second and third airborne vehicles (20). A GPS receiver (24) is mounted on each of the three vehicles (20) to receive signals transmitted from spaceborne satellites (14). Each vehicle (20) acts as a pseudo-satellite or "pseudolite'. The received GPS signals are processed by a processor (26) to provide a first intermediate signal indicating the position of the vehicle (20). This signal is retransmitted from each vehicle and received by a GPS receiver mounted on a missile. The received intermediate signal is processed on the missile to provide an output signal indicating the position thereof. The pseudolites would be airborne in the vicinity of a target area. Because the pseudolites are relatively close to the targets compared to a satellite in high altitude orbit and because the pseudolites would be able to transmit a kilowatt or more power, the signal strength may be improved significantly. To succeed as a jammer, a jammer, successful against GPS satellites, would need considerably more power to succeed against aircraft carried pseudolites. The pseudolite system delivers GPS signals into the target area 40-70 dB stronger than signals coming directly from GPS satellites. By timing the signals for 100% time coverage, enemy C / A code receivers will be jammed because they are limited to a J / S capability of 30 dB.

The invention relates to a road and obstacle detecting method based on remotely piloted vehicles. The method includes adopting a four-wire laser radar as a distance sensor and calculating slope information of roads in a driving area according to the relative position correspondence of pavement data points on different scanning layers; fitting left and right road edges by the COBWEB algorithm and the least square fit improved on the basis of Euclidean distance according to characteristics of road edge data points, enhancing anti-jamming capability, accuracy and stability of road edge detection; applying DST (Dempster-Shafer theory) evidence theory to establish a raster map for the environment ahead of the remotely piloted vehicles, and estimating positions of each raster before integrating prior- and posterior-frame maps. Consequently, the problem of integration of prior and posterior raster cells in the local map is solved. A control unit in the automated pet food dispenser may be configured to initiate anti-jamming procedures if food becomes jammed and obstructs the rotation of the food chamber. In various embodiments, feeding times may be set to occur at fixed time intervals or may be set to occur at times set on a programmable clock on the base unit. In some embodiments, a recording mechanism in the automated pet food dispenser allows a user to record an audio clip such as a voice message, music, or other selected sound for calling a pet to eat at feeding times.

The system includes a movement detector operatively associated with the handgrip of a weapon for detecting the presence of a hand on the handgrip. The coded signal is received by at least one remote token which receives the coded signal and transmits a coded acknowledgement signal upon receipt of the coded signal. A system is provided for enabling and disabling the weapon, operatively connected to the transceiver for allowing operation of the weapon when the coded acknowledgement signal has been received. The system may include two tokens, which are worn by the authorized user. In this case, the transceiver further includes an anti-collision module to discriminate between the different tokens and select which one will be permitted to issue the coded acknowledgement signal. Also preferably, the transceiver includes an anti-jamming module. Verification of the token can be done every time the trigger is depressed. Alternately, verification can be done only once, when the weapon is first gripped, and authorization remains until the handgrip is let go. Furthermore, since bi-directional RF communication is effected only when the trigger is depressed, power consumption is reduced.

Smoothed power spectral density is used to detect activity in a sub-band and basic characteristics of different signals therein extracted. The method comprises the following steps of coding four color stripe patterns by adopting a sinusoidal phase shift coding method, a segmented step phase coding method and Gray codes; sequentially focusing and projecting the four color stripe patterns on a reference planeand a measured object through a DLP projector; acquiring the stripe patterns which are not modulated on the reference plane and after height modulation deformation of the measured object through a color CCD camera; performing decoding processing on the two groups of the stripe patterns to obtain a continuous phase difference value of the measured object; and solving three-dimensional height information of the surface of the measured object by utilizing a triangular method. Through the measuring method based on color composite coding which fuses sinusoidal phase shift coding, segmented step phase coding and the gray codes, the three-dimensional measurement can be realized by only four color patterns by means of a triangular principle; and therefore, the method is small in projection amount, high in processing speed and good in anti-jamming capability, and is suitable for fast and high-precision three-dimensional measurement of objects with the non-continuous surfaces in a static scene.
