A variety of tools and techniques are disclosed for managing, viewing, publishing, searching, clustering, and otherwise manipulating data streams. Data streams such as RSS data feeds may be searched, aggregated, and filtered into a processed feed. The processed feed, along with rules used to process the feed may be shared in a number of ways. A data feed management system may provide an integrated user interface through which a user may manage feeds, including searching for new feeds, managing and filtering current feeds, modifying a user profile, and sharing feeds and feed configuration data with other users. A server may provide a complementary search engine to locate new feeds and to store and/or index items or posts in known feeds. Together, these technologies may provide a richly-functioned feed management system and greater ease of use for individuals in managing large numbers of feeds and large amounts of data in feeds. Additional functional layers may provide for authentication, security, and privacy, metadata creation and management, and social networking features. Using the management tools and additional functionality, a syndicated data stream system may provide a platform for a wide array of useful consumer and business applications.

A method of decoding a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) is presented. An indication of a resource element (RE) configuration allocated for transmission of CSI-RSs by a first cell is received from a second cell. The method includes at least one of using the indication of the RE configuration to decode a first CSI-RS received from the first cell, and using the indication of the RE configuration to mute one or more REs within a data channel transmission received from a third cell. The first cell, second cell and third cell may be associated within a CSI-RS group. In some cases, at least two of the first cell, the second cell, and the third cell are mutually interfering cells. The indication of the RE configuration may include a plurality of logical indices having incremental values, the plurality of logical indices identifying REs used to transmit CSI-RS.

Content directed towards a user is identified and the classification of the content is determined and used in the creation of a personalized RSS feed that gives a user controlled access to the data. Multiple classes of RSS feeds are generated based on the contents and as such, a user can have one RSS feed that is password protected and one that is readily available. By varying the access controls on the RSS based files, multiple classes of RSS feeds can be created. Additionally, a single RSS feed may be applied for carrying multiple classes of content. The underlying content is stored in XML content files that have an access control mechanism applied to them. A system, method, and apparatus are directed to managing a subscription to an RSS feed. A search component enables searching over a network for content associated with an RSS feed. In one embodiment, the search component receives a search query in the form of a structured query language (SQL), Boolean expression, or the like. The search component may search for content based on the search query and validate the RSS feed associated with the results from the search. A list of validated RSS feeds may be sent to the user. The user may then select from the list and subscribe to a validated RSS feed. In addition, the user may employ the search query as an RSS feed. Thus, the same search may be performed automatically and the results compared to the previous search results. If a change in the search results is detected, the user may be alerted.

The RSs include RSs for channel measurement, and RSs for data demodulation, the plurality of cells are grouped according to frequency shift values applied to the RSs for channel measurement and RS allocation patterns are determined for two cells among the plurality of cells according to a predetermined rule.

A content collector identifies changes in content from various RCSs. In one embodiment, the RCS may notify the content collector of a change in content. In another embodiment, a crawler is used to identify an RCS with changed content based, in part, on a subscriber's request. Information about the RCS with changed content is provided to at least one of a plurality of matching engines using a load-balancing mechanism. Each of the matching engines manages a store that identifies subscribers that have requested an alert from a particular RCS. The matching engines further determine when the subscriber was last notified of a change in content from that RCS so that the subscriber is not notified multiple times of the same change.

Systems and methods for transmitting and updating information feeds from a server to a client are provided to increase bandwidth efficiency and improve the timeliness of information feed updates. Using OMA DS protocols, the updating of RSS feeds, for example, may be performed without having to transfer an entire RSS feed. That is, in some arrangements, only the new RSS items are synchronized with a client. A server may alert the client when a new RSS item has been added to an RSS feed. A synchronization session may then be initialized between the server and the client. A client may send a synchronization alert to the server identifying the feed or feeds for which synchronization is desired. The server may respond with one or more new items corresponding to the identified feeds. RSS item identification information may further be mapped between the client and the server.

A novel system and method for initiating, via a mobile device utilizing really simple syndication (RSS), the sending of messages from a user's desktop computer to one or more recipients. The mechanism establishes a connection between the mobile device and the user's PC whereby data is served from the user's PC to the mobile device to permit the mobile user to make document and recipient selections. A conventional email application at the user's PC generates and sends the messages which may be sent with or without attachments (e.g., documents) depending on the mobile user's preference. Embodiments described herein provide a system, method and computer program for dynamic radio map generation, which may be used for indoor positioning of one or more mobile devices based on received signal strength (RSS) in some examples. In an aspect, a dynamic scheme may be used to learn the RSS radio map from only a small number of fingerprint samples. Compressive sensing may be applied to build the graph structure and calculate the graph weight in some embodiments. Once the RSS radio map is learned, a mobile device may be located and location based services can be provided to the user in some example embodiments. The location of a mobile device can be determined based on received signal strength (RSS) from one or more access points (APs) and a radio map. In accordance with one embodiment, an explicit tag may be embedded at the feed and/or episode level to indicate that the feed and/or episode includes explicit content. In accordance with another embodiment, a duration tag may be embedded at the episode level to indicate an estimated duration associated with the episode. Upon downloading the episode, the duration may be replaced by the actual duration of the episode.
