Abstract
Description
[0001] Angled toothbrush
[0002] UTILITY MODEL FIELD
[0003]
[0001] This utility model relates to an instrument aimed at the area of oral health, for personal use, in order to improve hygiene by means of a toothbrush with a head angled at varying degrees according to the needs of each user, which can be between 10 and 170 degrees and pivoting, whose function is to improve the cleaning of hard-to-reach parts of the mouth, since the angled head allows easy access to the back and lingual surface of the teeth, regardless of the type of bristles present on the head and the material of the brush, differentiating it from others existing in the angulation of the brush head.
[0004] FUNDAMENTALS OF THE UTILITY MODEL
[0005]
[0002] The main products (toothbrushes) that perform the same purpose as the present utility model, aimed at oral hygiene, have a straight toothbrush head, with a 90-degree angle, or angled forward, with no variations in the curvature of the brush.
[0006]
[0003] The head of a straight or forward-angled toothbrush does not reach the hard-to-reach areas to fully clean the teeth, leaving behind traces of dirt that can cause oral problems, in addition to making brushing more difficult for the user, problems that motivated the development of the present utility model.
[0007]
[0004] The utility model that is the subject of this patent, unlike existing toothbrush heads, uses an angled head with variable degrees ranging from 10° to 170°, excluding the existing 90° angle (right angle), and can be pivoting to meet the needs of all users, so that it reaches all inaccessible areas of the mouth for complete oral hygiene and greater comfort during brushing, in addition to the fact that the angled head can be replaced without having to change the toothbrush handle.
[0008] SUMMARY OF THE UTILITY MODEL
[0009]
[0005] The present utility model relates to a toothbrush with an angled head ranging from 10 to 170 degrees, excluding the 90-degree angle, known as a right angle, whose purpose is to reach hard-to-reach places in the mouth during brushing to improve cleaning, regardless of the material used in the manufacture of the product, and the head may also be pivotable.
[0010] BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
[0011]
[0006] The drawings described here are for illustrative purposes only of possible embodiments, and other implementations are possible and are not intended to limit the scope of this description, since the angles of the toothbrush head may vary.
[0012] Fig. 1 is a diagonal perspective view of the instrument.
[0013] Petition 870240005098, dated 19 / 01 / 2024, page 7 / 12. Fig. 2 is a front perspective view of the instrument.
[0014] Fig. 3 is a side perspective view of the instrument.
[0015] Fig. 4 is a perspective view of the angled head with the protective objects at the angles.
[0016] DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE UTILITY MODEL
[0017]
[0007] The increasing discovery of systemic health problems linked to oral health led to the design of the angled toothbrush to improve oral hygiene, since most oral problems result from poor brushing.
[0018]
[0008] When a person eats, numerous food particles become lodged between the gums and teeth. The present utility model, due to its curvature which has varying degrees in the head of the toothbrush, allows the head to be positioned so that the bristles pass between the gums and teeth, sweeping away food debris, which leads to better overall oral hygiene.
[0019]
[0009] This same instrument with the curvature allows access to the posterior surface of the back teeth, wisdom teeth or molars, in order to remove food debris and consequently prevent the formation of plaque and tartar in this region, in addition to allowing more complete and precise access to the lingual surface of the teeth, leading to a deeper and more effective cleaning.
[0020]
[0010] Due to the curvature of the head, the bristles have greater contact with the surface of the teeth and pass between the teeth during brushing, performing a complete cleaning and preventing various oral health problems that affect many people. In addition, the angled brush also encourages the correct brushing technique as recommended by professionals in the field (vertical or circular).
[0021]
[0011] The angled toothbrush has a head that measures between 0 and 10 cm in length and between 0 and 5 cm in width with bristles fixed to one face of the head, as shown in Figures 1 and 3, and may also be pivotable.
[0022]
[0012] The angled toothbrush head for right-handed people has a standard angle of 45 degrees to the right, and for left-handed people, it has an angle of 135 degrees to the left; however, the angle can vary according to the needs of each user, being from 10 to 80 degrees on one side and from 100 to 170 degrees on the other side, as shown in Figures 2 and 4. In this sense, the 90° angle, known as a right angle, is excluded, since it is the market standard.
[0023]
[0013] The upper part of the brush handle or lower part of the head is slightly angled backwards to provide more comfort in grip and brushing (Figure 1), and can be fixed or removable, and the angled toothbrush can even be used as a replacement head for electric toothbrushes or any type of handle.
[0024]
[0014] The angled toothbrush can have any type of bristles, such as nylon, natural fibers, sponge, etc., and can also be made of any material such as plastic, bamboo, wood, ecological fibers, etc., as long as it has a curved brush head, which is the object of this utility model.
[0025] Petition 870240005098, dated 19 / 01 / 2024, page 8 / 12
[0015] Finally, the present utility model aims to protect the angled head of the toothbrush, in varying degrees according to the needs of each user, with the toothbrush handle being merely a complement, since the angled toothbrush head can be used with other types of handles, and can be sold together with a handle or separately for replacement.
[0026] EXAMPLES OF UTILITY MODEL IMPLEMENTATION
[0027]
[0016] In short, the angled-head toothbrush is able to solve the problem of hard-to-reach areas in some parts of the mouth for proper hygiene, a problem that affects everyone.
[0028]
[0017] The use of angled toothbrushes has made it possible to reach the back teeth and the back of the wisdom teeth and molars, as well as the inside of the mouth, which is the lingual surface of the teeth, leading to a more effective and thorough cleaning compared to the classic (straight, 90° angled) toothbrush model.
[0029]
[0018] When compared to straight toothbrushes, angled toothbrushes offer improved reach to hard-to-reach areas in the mouth, as well as better bristle positioning to improve cleaning of these areas and oral hygiene, solving various oral problems resulting from poor brushing.
[0030]
[0019] In addition, the slight tilt of the angled brush head base allows for greater comfort when brushing.
[0031]
[0020] The angled toothbrush can be used in its entirety, considering both the angled head and the handle, as well as just the angled head, since it can adapt to any type of handle and can be replaced as needed.

Claims
CLAIMS 1. Angled toothbrush head, characterized by a curvature in the toothbrush head at a variable angle between 10 and 80 degrees on the right side and between 100 and 170 degrees on the left side, excluding the right angle of 90°, so that it reaches hard-to-reach places inside the mouth during brushing, and by a brush head measuring between 0 and 10 cm in length and between 0 and 5 cm in width, which may be pivoting, with bristles fixed to one face of the head, made of any material, with an attached or removable handle, made of any material, or no handle at all, since it can be sold separately to replace another brush head, in any type of handle.
