Digital tide gauge

Abstract

This design is the graphic representation of the tide on a coastline; at the top, blue LEDs represent the coastline at high tide; they are lit during the flow and indicate a rising tide; in the middle, the green LEDs represent the current sea level; each LED represents one sixth of the tidal range; at the bottom, blue LEDs represent the coastline when the tide is low; they are lit during the ebb and indicate a falling tide; the LEDs on the side indicate the tidal coefficient.
