[0033] The cosmetic of the present application comprises (a) an acrylamide-based thickening agent, (b) carob seed gum, and (c) water as essential components.
[0034] (a) Acrylamide thickener
[0035] The cosmetics of the present invention contain an acrylamide-based thickener. This acrylamide-based thickener is a water-soluble polymer in which acrylamide is a comonomer. For example, dialkylacrylamide, represented by the following general formula, is an acrylamide that constitutes such a polymer.
[0036]
[0037] (in the formula,
[0038] R 1 Indicates hydrogen or methyl.
[0039] R 2 and R 3 Each can be represented independently as methyl, ethyl, propyl, or isopropyl.
[0040] Acrylamide-based thickeners are preferably copolymers comprising a nonionic comonomer and an ionic comonomer. Furthermore, the nonionic comonomer is preferably a dialkylacrylamide represented by the above general formula (1). Particularly preferred dialkylacrylamides are dimethylacrylamide and diethylacrylamide. Additionally, the ionic comonomer used in combination with it can, for example, be R from general formula (1). 2 Or R 3 Ionic comonomers with sulfonyl or ammonium groups bonded to their alkyl groups. Particularly preferred ionic comonomers are sodium acryloyldimethyl taurate, 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid, and their salts.
[0041] The monomer composition ratio (feed ratio) in the polymerization system of nonionic and ionic comonomers can be suitably and arbitrarily determined according to the structure of the target acrylamide thickener. Regarding the feed ratio (molar ratio) of the polymerization system of nonionic and ionic comonomers, a nonionic monomer: ionic monomer ratio of 0.5:9.5 to 9.5:0.5, preferably 1:9 to 9:1, and more preferably 7:3 to 9:1 is typically used for copolymerization.
[0042] Such acrylamide-based thickeners can be selected according to the purpose, preferably from one or more of the following substances:
[0043] Dimethacrylamide / sodium acryloyldimethyl taurate cross-linked polymer
[0044] Acrylamide / 2-acrylamide-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid copolymer,
[0045] A mixture of polyacrylamide and sodium polyacrylate
[0046] Sodium acrylate / 2-acrylamide-2-methylpropane sulfonic acid copolymer,
[0047] Polyacrylamide / ammonium acrylate copolymer, and
[0048] Acrylamide / sodium acrylate copolymer.
[0049] Among these, more preferable are sodium acryloyldimethyl taurate crosslinked polymer or sodium acrylamide / 2-acrylamide-2-methylpropane sulfonic acid copolymer, and particularly preferable is sodium acryloyldimethyl taurate crosslinked polymer.
[0050] [(b) Tamarind seed gum]
[0051] The cosmetic of the present application contains tamarind seed gum. Tamarind seed gum is a natural high-molecular compound having high viscosity and high transparency, and is typically a polysaccharide having a structure called xyloglucan, whose main chain is composed of glucose and whose side chain is composed of xylose and galactose. Such tamarind seed gum is generally manufactured by purifying a component extracted from tamarind seeds using warm water or an alkaline aqueous solution.
[0052] Tamarind seed gum is available in various commercial products, and any of them can be used as desired. Specifically, Glyloid 6C (manufactured by DSP GOKYO FOOD & CHEMICAL CO., LTD.), etc. can be mentioned.
[0053] [(c) Water]
[0054] The cosmetic of the present application contains water in addition to the above-mentioned components. As the water, water used in cosmetics, quasi drugs, etc. can be used, and for example, purified water, ion-exchanged water, tap water, etc. can be used.
[0055] [Blending amount and blending ratio of each component]
[0056] The cosmetic of the present application contains the above-mentioned essential components (a) to (c). If desired, other components described later can be further contained, and in the cosmetic of the present application, the blending amount of the acrylamide-based thickening agent is 0.01 to 1% by mass, preferably 0.05 to 0.5% by mass, and more preferably 0.1 to 0.3% by mass, relative to the total amount of the cosmetic.
[0057] Further, when the blending ratio of tamarind seed gum and the acrylamide-based thickening agent is within a specific range, the cosmetic of the present application can provide particularly excellent use feeling. Specifically, the mass ratio (a) / (b) of the total amount of the acrylamide-based thickening agent (a) to the total amount of tamarind seed gum (b) is preferably 0.2 to 3, and more preferably 0.4 to 2.
[0058] In addition, the cosmetic of the present application can be combined with other components as needed, and it is generally preferable that the proportion of water be high. Specifically, the proportion of water is preferably 60% by mass or more, and more preferably 70 to 90% by mass, relative to the total amount of the cosmetic.
