Description

TECHNICAL FIELD

[0001] This application claims priority to Korean Patent Application No. 10-2023-0043184, filed on March 31, 2023. The entire disclosure of its specification is incorporated herein by reference. The present invention relates to novel azabicyclic derivatives, and more particularly, to novel azabicyclic derivatives having autotaxin inhibitory activity. BACKGROUND

[0002] Autotaxin (ATX), also known as ectonucleotide pyrophosphatase / phosphodiesterase family member 2 (ENPP2), is a secreted enzyme that is critical for the production of the lipid signaling molecule lysophosphatidic acid (LPA). Autotaxin exhibits lysophospholipase D activity, which converts lysophosphatidylcholine (LPC) to LPA. Thus, LPA levels in plasma and ascites fluid are correlated with ATX activity.

[0003] Plasma LPA is a bioactive lipid that influences migration, proliferation, and survival of multiple cell types. In addition, the ATX-LPA signaling process is involved in physiological and pathophysiological functions of multiple diseases, including nervous system function, vascular development, cardiovascular physiology, tissue regeneration, immune system function, chronic inflammation, tumor metastasis and progression, organ fibrosis, and obesity and / or other metabolic diseases (e.g., diabetes).

[0004] Accordingly, increased ATX activity and increased LPA levels, altered LPA receptor expression and altered responses to LPA can be associated with initiation, progression, and / or outcome of multiple pathophysiological diseases involving the ATX / LPA signaling pathway. In particular, it is known to be associated with cancer, lymphocyte homing, chronic inflammation, neuropathic pain, fibrotic diseases (e.g., idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF)), and thrombosis. Therefore, it is necessary to reduce the level of LPA and / or induce the level of autotaxin (ATX) of LPA for the treatment of these diseases. SUMMARY
